Top 5 Cartoons That I Grew Up With

Animation fans everybody loves a good list especially if it's full of great shows which this one will be and this is my own personal list so here we go with some of the shows that i grew up watching.

5) The Simpsons

This is the longest running animated show in history and i'm proud to say that i was watching the show in it's prime there's nothing more i can say about this show except i was an instant fan from the second i saw it.

4) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1980's)

I have to admit i don't recall watching this on TV that much but i do recall watching it on VHS alot of the time and yes the show was goofy but you know what i loved it and clearly alot of people because alot of things introduced in the cartoon still exist in the TMNT lore to this day.

3) South Park

This show is everything Rick & Morty wishes it could be it's smart , it's funny and it has great social commentary whole Rick & Morty is a great show South Park is better and it's made on a weekly basis that takes guts to do something like that.

2) Animaniacs / Pinky And The Brain / Tiny Toon Adventures

I grouped these three together because there all spin offs and there all awesome altho i didn't watch that much of Pinky And The Brain from what i do recall it was a great show and i love Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures so much i still watch them to this day.

1) Looney Tunes

It was always going to be Looney Tunes they've been entertaining people for generations there characters are now so well placed in popular culture that it's hard to think of a time when we didn't know of Bugs , Daffy or Elmer.

Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works 2010 Film Review

Hello anime fans since i saw the TV version of Unlimited Blade Works i thought i'd check out the movie version just to see what it's about and well here's my review of it.

Now i would very much like to summarize the plot of the movie however the plot of the movie is basically a cut down version of the TV show and since that's what it basically is alot of stuff get's cut out character motivations are gone as are key character development scenes in this case i prefer the TV show to the movie since the story was given time to breathe.

Now i'm reviewing the dubbed version of the movie which stars  Michelle Ruff , Liam O'Brien , Mela Lee , Sam Riegel and Tara Platt. The dub cast are actually pretty good i enjoyed Michelle as Saber i thought she sounded really badass and i liked Liam O'Brien as Archer the only cast member who i thought could have done better was Mela Lee just because in the first scene where we meet Rin she has a British accent for some reason but then she doesn't speak with a British accent again for the rest of the movie.

This was the film to be animated by Studio Deen and i have to say that they did a good job with the animation there's a lot of great fluid movements from all the characters you can tell that they had a big budget and you can tell that there was a lot of attention to detail just in the animation alone.

Another thing that looked really good were the action scenes they were just stunning but i have a feeling that since the studio knew they didn't have a story to work with they put all of there effort into making the action scenes look really great and while they did look stunning they should have put more effort into creating a story.

The score for the film was done by Kenji Kawai who did a little known film called Ghost In The Shell and i have to say that his score for this film was pretty good it's not his best by any means but it worked well for this film.

Overall just stick to the TV series it does a better job of telling the story but it does have good animation and a good dub so for me this movie is a 6 out of 10.

Victoria "A Solider's Daughter" Review

Hello there TV fans / British people / British TV people i thought that since Doctor Who is on break until Christmas that for the next eight weeks i'd review the second series of hit series Victoria since i loved the first series so much i bought the DVD and the book so here we go with series 2 episode 1.

The plot of this episode is that cracks are beginning to show in Victoria and Albert's marriage all the while the British army are heading towards the Khyber Pass. No matter how i summarized this episode i couldn't do it justice because there's so much more going on including all the side characters but i have to say that i love that this show shows the difficult side to being married to a queen the only issue i have with the episode is that the pacing is a tad bit off for my liking.

Returning as Victoria and Albert are the always stunning Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes there's more returning characters of course but there's so many to name so i thought i'd mention those two in terms of new cast the only note worthy member is Dame Diana Rigg herself who has left the lands of Westeros and has shown up in London in terms of the returning cast i cannot praise them enough both Tom and Jenna are great not only in there roles but also in this series and Diana Rigg is great as always.

This show has always had great looking sets and i have to say that this episode and hopefully this series continues that because all of the sets in this episode looked great the palace looks like a place where a queen would really live and it wouldn't surprise me if the production team got some pictures of how the palace looked in the victorian era.

I have to mention Diana Rigg again because her character The Duchess of Buccleuch was easily the best character in this episode she has a lot of sass to her that actually reminded me alot of her Game Of Thrones character but i hope that they don't meet the same fate.

The last series had used very few CGI scenes and i hope this remains the case because i hate spotting scenes that have CGI when they don;t really need it but based of this episode so far this is the case but then again the CGI in the last episode was very subtle so there's a chance they might have used some CGI and i wouldn't even notice.

Overall this is a great start to the second series and i cannot wait for next weeks episode i give this episode an 8 out of 10.

My Idea For A Wacky Races And WWE Movie

Now then animation fans like or not the WWE animated crossovers are indeed a thing and like or not most of them are actually pretty decent and since the company loves bringing back classic Hanna-Barbera properties i thought why not bring back Wacky Races and yes i'm refusing to count that terrible reboot.

Now the WWE already made a movie featuring cars except it was with Scooby-Doo! so my basic idea for the plot would be the same as that one just remove the Scooby gang and the mystery aspect and replace it with Dick and Muttley trying to take over the WWE so the wrestlers have to team up with the Wacky Races gang to stop Dastardly.

Now due to the fast paced nature of the wrestling business i can't say for sure which wrestlers i think should be included but i can say which ones i would like to see in the movie those being AJ Styles, Brock Lesner , Dean Ambrose , Seth Rollins and a few more .

In terms of voice actors i think that Diedrich Bader would make a good Peter Perfect , Kath Soucie has to play Penelope as for who should play Dastardly i'm thinking either Billy West or Tom Kenny with the other one playing Muttley and since the Wacky Races cast is so huge you'd have to include all the characters and the actors playing them could just have some fun with the roles.

Now i will forever and a day say The Jetsons crossover is the best animated out of all the WWE animated films but that being said the second Scooby-Doo movie is the best looking so for this movie it would be better if it had the look of that second Scooby-Doo film but had the animation of The Jetsons crossover.

In terms of who should write the film i would get the pair who wrote The Jetsons crossover because in that film i got a sense that they truly loved the brand and Wacky Races would need that kind of love and attention to detail to help make it work as a movie.

This film i admit is a long shot since WWE Studios right now has no other animated crossovers in the works but it's something that i'd like to see happen in the future.

My Brief Thoughts On Wacky Races 2017

Hello there race fans i'm here to do something i swore to myself i would never ever do and that's judge a show just based of the first episode but as you can see by the name of the show i'm going to be talking about most of you will be thinking the exact same question "They Rebooted Wacky Races?" and now i'm going to tell you my thoughts on it.

Now before i get into the episode proper i have to say that there are only three images from the show on Google and even then two of them are pretty much the exact same image so i've got to use images from the classic show to help sell my point.

Like the original show this new show seems not to have a story which i'm fine with but at least with the show they gave us lots of characters to keep us interested this episode only features a small handful of racers and even tho most of them are classic characters they don't bother to make them interesting.

Now you may have noticed that i mentioned the fact that the cast for this episode is mostly classic characters well that's because they introduce two new characters there's Bella voiced by Tom Kenny and there's a sports announcer who's basically the announcer from the original show only stupid and Bella is ok but to me she seems like a replacement for The Professor and nothing more.

I've mentioned that Spongebob is in the show but there's also Billy West who i think is playing Mutley but i can't tell you who else in this show because there's no cast list to be found anywhere even Wikipedia has the wrong cast list up right now and there's no IMDB page up yet for this show. I do however like the voice of Penny they kept her a southern girl which was good and they toned down her voice which i liked.

Yes ladies and gentlemen your eyes do not deceive you that above image is what Dastardly and Mutley look like in the new show out of all the characters to get a bad redesign why did it have to be those two there two of the most iconic characters from the original show and they look terrible i won't get into the animation but let's just say the animators should be ashamed.

Overall Cartoon Network should let Disney handle Reboots and they should stick to original shows but at least they kept the original theme song and there's no racing at all in this pilot even tho it right there in the name of the show and at least the episode lengths are the same as the race lengths in the original show.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles "Pilot" Review

The Terminator franchise has been on a downward spiral for a while now and shockingly has only spawned one TV series which i have the pleasure of owning the great first season of on DVD so here is my review of the pilot episode of The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

The story of the pilot see's Sarah and John living in 1999 until more Terminators arrive and they have to team up with a female student to find out what's going on. Since this is a pilot episode i really can't go into to much detail but i can say that the story for the pilot episode was really good and was very action packed.

The pilot stars a young Cersei Lannister pretending to be a hero as well as Thomas Dekker and Summer Glau. Honestly all three of them work well together i wasn't expecting them to have the best chemistry from the get go so i wasn't exactly shocked about that the acting was overall pretty good from the main cast.

I thought the CGI effects held up really well i wasn't expecting great CGI especially from a TV show that aired in 2008 but to me the effects looked really good back then and they still do there not movie quality but there passable.

There's a lot of action in this pilot and i'm guessing that most of it took up the budget for the show because all of the action scenes in this episode look really good and are fun to watch but even so it's people punching and kicking.

The score for the episode was done by Bear McCreary who's work includes Agents Of Shield Battlestar and it's prequel plus many many more and i have to say i'm a bit of a fan of his work so i really liked his score here and as a side note i'm glad they used the Terminator theme song for the opening theme that was just so freaking cool.

Overall i hope i've reminded you all that this show once existed because it's a good pilot to a great first season and for me is the best thing about modern Terminator i won't ever rate pilot episodes since there the start of the journey and not the destination.

Wonder Woman: Earth One Review

Well then guys with the Wonder Woman movie coming out on digital platforms soon i thought why not take a look at one of the Wonder Woman and it just so happened that yesterday i ordered Earth One and yes i know some people call it Earth One Volume One but i know it best as Earth One so here is my review of Wonder Woman: Earth One.

The plot of the book / graphic novel is For millennia the Amazons of Paradise Island have created a thriving society away from the blight of man. One resident however is not satisfied with this secluded life Diana Princess of the Amazons knows there is more in this world and wants to explore only to be frustrated by her protective mother Hippolyta. Diana finds her escape when Air Force pilot Steve Trevor the first man she has ever seen crashes onto their shores with his life hanging in the balance Diana ventures into the long forbidden world of men. The Amazons chase after her and bring her back to Paradise Island in chains to face trial for breaking their oldest law staying separated from the world that wronged them. Yes folks this book does the over protective parent angle but to this books credit by the time you realise there doing that angle your already engrossed in the story which does have a nice pace to it and with a page count of 130 pages that's to be expected.

I have to say that i liked how Wonder Woman was written in this book most origin books would have be naive about man's world which to be fair in this book she kinda is as well but she gets over it within a few short minuets and the rest of the issue she's the hero we all know her to be which i think is really refreshing. The book also does a good job of introducing Steve Trevor since the book doesn't really focus on him it makes sense that they didn't play up his introductory scene however the one character i think they messed up with a little bit was Etta she was just to loud for me in this book.

Since the bulk of this story takes place on Paradise Island we also get to see alot of the amazons but sadly with alot of characters already trying to get some time on the page not alot of them get the time they need to show us there personality for example we don't get to find out about Nubia or The Fates and according to Wikipedia Artemis is in this book altho i never noticed her being mentioned at all the only one who stood out apart from the obvious two is Althea but that's just because she looked alot like one of the female Ghostbusters.

Now i couldn't review this book and not talk about some of the more how shall i put adult images the picture above is just example of how mature this book is and it's not the last either i mean just look at how the women are drawn in this book there all drawn with big chests and in the case of Wonder Woman bright red lips and there's one panel where a girl is chained to the floor so if you're thinking that you might buy this book for your little girl or niece please bare all of that in mind.

I would talk about what i thought of the artwork but since i havn't really seen anything from this artist i can't tell if it's his best or not but for this story i think it works altho the lines are a little to heavy for my personal liking.

Overall if you want to read a more mature Wonder Woman story then i would recommend picking this up it's a great read that could possibly keep you entertained for me this story is a 9.5 out of 10

My Brief Thoughts On Marvel's Spider-Man

Spider-Man has to be the character that's had the most animated adaptations and now here we are with his latest series Marvel's Spider-Man and these are my brief thoughts on the show so far.

From what i can gather the plot of the show will have Spider-Man trying to stop some evil villain while trying to stop a villain every week. I don't think it's a bad idea to have a villain of the week since the comics have been doing it for years now but i hope they do something different with the formula.

Now i know alot of people will disagree with me on this but i thought Drake Bell did a great job on Ultimate Spider-Man and i have to say the actor they got playing him in this series Robbie Daymond is jot doing that great of job but since we are only two episodes in i can't say if he's a better Spider-Man or not.

The animation in the show looks like a complete downgrade from the other Marvel shows currently on the air it's not bad but it's nothing to write home about there is some nice movements from the characters and the animation in the action scenes is truly something to behold but there's something a bit of when it comes to the story driven scenes.

Overall so far this is an OK show but i hope that it gets better and i won't be giving this a ranking since this is only my brief thoughts on the series so far.

My Top Two Worst And Top Five Best Cartoons That Came Out Within A Few Years

It's not un-common for cartoon fans to name the best and worst cartoon shows or shows that they like but what makes mine kinda stand out is i'm only covering shows that came out within the last few years and i have to have seen at least the first episode so here we go.

Worst Cartoons

Kong: King of the Apes

Now i admit i was slightly looking forward to this show however all of that excitement went away by the time the first episode reached the 45 minuet mark it was just plain boring in this hour and a half pilot the show changes location twice and ages up the characters at least three times and it doesn't give you a clear idea of what the plot of the show is needles to say i'm not excited for season 2.

The Tom And Jerry Show

Now i'm a Tom And Jerry fan so i thought i'd check out this show since i'd never heard of it and my god was i disappointed not only was the slapstick lacking but so was the animation and those are two things that Tom and Jerry are known for so when you don't have either of those then what you have is Tom and Jerry in name only.

Best Cartoons

Danger & Eggs

I put this show on this list just due to how funny and creative the show is the show has a wicked sense of humor with all the jokes almost all hitting and the animation is about what you'd expect from a web series and i want to see more from these characters.

Avengers Assemble

Not only do i love cartoons but i also love comic books so anything that combines the two i'm guaranteed to watch at least the first episode but when you mix in great action with great wit then i'll keep on coming back and that's what this show does for me.

Guardians Of The Galaxy

For the reasons why i like this show see the above entry because my thoughts are exactly the same for this show except this time we have the look and designs from the 2014 live action Guardians movie which i love and will always state is the best MCU film ever.

OK KO! Lets Be Heroes

This is the show that right now is keeping cartoon network alive in my opinion it has great storytelling mixed in with great characters , great action and some generally funny moments anytime that KO makes a cute babyish face is pure gold in my book but there's one more show that just topped it.

The Loud House

If OK Ko is saving cartoon network then Nickelodeon is being saved by The Loud House this show has generally great heartwarming stories it might not also have the best jokes but when the jokes land they really land well.
