Doctor Who: Shada Review

Doctor Who fans I know that right now that we are all grieving but I have to admit that I had this review planned out for at the very least a good few days. So then as alot of you will know i'm fan of these Doctor Who animations and well then there's one story that is rather famous for being incomplete that was of course until it was fully animated and so then join me as I review the story that has become the stuff of legend with the episode in question being called simply just "Shada" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is after a book belonging to an old friend of The Doctors goes missing The Doctor and Romana go looking for it but themselves caught up in much more deadlier game. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with this episodes plot being really good and really entertaining at the exact same time in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Tom Baker as The Doctor , Lalla Ward as Romana and David Brierley as The Voice Of K9.Also starring in this episode is Christopher Neame as Skagra , Denis Carey as Professor Chronotis , Daniel Hill as Chris Parsons , Victoria Burgoyne as Clare Keightley , Gerald Campion as Wilkin , Derek Pollitt as Dr Caldera , Shirley Dixon as The Voice Of The Ship and James Coombes as The Voice Of The Krargs.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us un this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. With all of this episodes cast not only doing the live action roles really well but also doing a good job at voicing their respective characters as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Try as I might I cannot for the absolutely life of me find out who did the animation for this episode which is such a shame. As this episode is quite easily the best animated Doctor Who reconstruction thus far with this episodes animation looking very smooth and very fluid and because of the fact that the cast had to record new audio for these animated segments the mouth mouth movements also looked really freaking good as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

For those of you that don't know this story was never finished since there where several strikes during production. Which meant that in studio filming couldn't be finished and as such production for one the episode was cancelled however we did get to see some footage all the way back in The Five Doctors special and there have been a few adaptations and reconstructions of this story over the years however this one is perhaps the closet thing that we are ever going to be getting to a complete version of this story as it was originally meant to be seen on TV in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I'm not going to lie and say that this episode is perfect because it's not since this episode doesn't really take the time to fully develop any of the guest characters. Which is such a shame because there is a twist in this episode which would have worked alot better if this character was alot fully developed instead of being presented to us as a one dimensional character in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Another thing that I really didn't like about this episode was the it's design for The Krargs since to me they just look like they had a bin bag thrown over them. Which is a shame because when Doctor Who wants to get really creative with it's villain designs we get designs like the Daleks and yet the design for this episode villains just looks lazy and it doesn't make them look scary or even creepy looking at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and eighteen minuets and twenty two seconds. Which while this story does have more then enough there interms of both plot and story to cover that running time it's also a story that really didn't need to be that long at all since you very easily could have covered this episodes entire storyline in well under two hours in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this show is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. Which considering that all of this episodes action just focuses on K9 they really do get the most that they can do action wise out of K9 in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this episode while it does have it's fair share of problems it's also a great animated Doctor Who episode and it really does show you just how good these animations can be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Doctor Who fandom wiki page , Amazon . Co . Uk and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very review being the wonderful Google Images since all of the images that are currently up and and featured / presented to us on freaking Google Images are all fairly freaking high in freaking quality and as well as being very fairly freaking high in definition.
