My First Impressiojns Of The American Born Chinese TV Series

Disney has a really busy week this week with the release of The Little Mermaid live action remake currently in cinemas. Not only that but the house of mouse also has a new live action TV show out on Disney+ with them releasing all of the shows eight episodes and while i'm not going to be reviewing this show I will still be giving you my first impressions of the show and so then join me as I give you my first impressions of the show that really is basically an Everything Everywhere All At Once reunion with the show in question being called simply just "American Born Chinese" enjoy.

Here is where I would normally write what the plot of these episodes is and give you my opinions on the plot as a whole. However this show has done me a huge favor and decided not to include a plot at all which is a huge red flag for me as now the show has no reason to exist and so when your opening two episodes have no plot to them it makes you wonder why you should stick around for episode three because now the show gives you no reason to watch episode three whatsoever in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in these first two episodes is Ben Wang as Jin Wang , Yeo Yann Yann as Christine Wang and Chin Han as Simon Wang. Also starring in this show is Ke Huy Quan as Jamie Yao / Freddy Wong , Jimmy Liu as Sun Wei-Chen , Sydney Taylor as Amelia Taylor , Daniel Wu as Sun Wukong / The Monkey King , Mahi Alam as Anuj , Stony Blyden as Andy , David Bloom as Josh , Justin Jarzombek as Travis , Ethan Rich as Greg and Michelle Yeoh as Guanyin.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad. With the cast for these episodes doing the best that they can do however this shows script just doesn't give the cast alot to work with interms of what their characters respective personalities actually are.

Doing the CGI for these episodes is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Double Negative and ReDefine. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty average at best. As we did get some decent looking CGI effects but at the exact same time tho we also got alot of just really very bad looking CGI effects as well.

For those of you that don't know this film is based of off the 2006 graphic novel of the exact same name written by Gene Luen Yang. I will admit that until the writing f this post I never knew that this TV show was based of off anything and just based of off a quick of the books Wikipedia page I will say that adapting this story for television was the right move just because if you tried doing it as a movie then your audience wold get so confused with all of the different setting and time periods where as with a TV show you don't really have to worry about that.

This show is most defiantly made for today's audiences and I don't mean that in a good way with alot of the side characters complaining alot about things being problematic. Which is something that gets annoying really fast and it just screams of Disney trying to put politics into a story that really doesn't need it in their granted things do get a little better in episode two but it;s something that really didn't need to be in the show at all with the shows creator only putting it in as a way to make the story appeal to everyone and i'm not making this up either as this was something that he said in an interview with the website Time.

For some strange reason Disney has now gotten into the habit of releasing all episodes of alot of their shows at once. Which is something that i'm dead set against as it's not something that works well for this show as this show works better when you have a week to create theories about the next episode and to get excited for the next episode both of which are important for any good TV show as it now means that you have that extra time to get hyped about the show and that's not something that your going to get when all of the episodes are being released at the exact same time.

Now then episode one of this show has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty three minuets and sixteen seconds whereas episode two has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty nine minuets and forty six seconds. With episode one having a really good running time as it really does need that long of a running time just to set up the story of the show , the shows world and the shows characters but both episodes have dreadful pacing due to the lack of a story happening and as such your just watching these characters go about their day to day lives and there's only so long you can watch that before it starts to get really dull and really boring.

So now then since this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes was in all honesty not that bad/ Altho at the same time it wasn't that good either with the action in these first two episodes being very slow paced and just trying to hard to be cool and awesome in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall I find it hard to say if this show deserves all of the praise that it's getting because I only watched and will only ever watch the shows first two episodes but based of what I saw this show is nothing more then OK at best in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in these first two episodes in this very post and as this only my first impressions i'm not going to be giving this show a rating i've not really seen enough episodes to give the show as a whole a fair rating.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very post well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very post from the official Disney fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very review being the wonderful Google Images since all of the images that are currently up and and featured / presented to us on Google Images are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
