The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe Review

Cartoon fans Cartoon Network brings out alot of shows per year but Cartoon Network UK however doesn't really do that well as of right now that all changes with this show so here is my review of The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe.

The premise of the show is a young prince goes on a quest to retrieve the magical Golden Feather for The Eagle King. I admit I like the set up it's something fresh and different and for once the time frame of each episode helps the story and if you didn't know each episode is around three and a half minuets long and is pretty episodic.

The show mainly stars Rasmus Hardiker as both the prince and his squire but there is a different cast star almost every episode but tho you won't know who they are unless your a Brit but I will say the acting all round is fairly decent it's not the best voice acting out there but for what is basically a web series it's pretty decent.

Now I just mentioned that is a web show pretty much well that's because if your in the UK the only way you can watch this show is via Cartoon Network UK's Youtube page so for all intense and purposes this is a web series but tho it does also air on other Cartoon Networks throughout Europe but tho as of right now there are no plans for it to air on Cartoon Network in America.

The show is made by Eva Lee Wallberg and Christian Bøving-Andersen who both worked on The Amazing World Of Gumball and I think that the characters in Ivandoe look alot like the characters in Gumball they have very similar design styles and that's kinda distracting for me.

Animation wise the show's not that bad like I said it's made by the same team behind Gumball and that includes the same animation studio and they use one of the same techniques that they used on Gumball where they take live action backgrounds and animate the characters and I really like it makes the show feel more charming then it could be.

This show is a co-production between the UK and Denmark so there is alot of influences from the UK seen in this show and one of them is the name of the show which is a play on the book Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott.

Honestly there's not really much I can say about the show apart from the fact that it is pretty funny and there's no fart jokes at all which for me is always a plus the jokes aren't always the smartest jokes out there in fact most of them you'll see coming a mile away but that doesn't mean that you won't at least be smiling when a joke is told.

As of right now there are eleven episodes up on Cartoon Network UK's Youtube page and it won't take you long to catch up it only took me something like thirty to forty five minuets so you could very easily binge this series in an hour.

The show's theme song I think is very catchy it's short and to the point and it does have some funny lyrics and to me that helped bring me into that world since you know your in for a good time the second that song starts playing.

Overall this show is a fun little distraction which is fine because I get the feeling that's all it's meant to be just a three and half minuet distraction and if that's what your looking for then you will love this show for me tho the show gets a 6 out of 10.
