Doctor Who: Genesis Of The Daleks Review

Doctor Who fans after taking a rather unexpected week of from this weekly Doctor Who The Collection Series 12 reviews i'm now back with the very next episode and it's an episode that i've been absolutely dieing to cover. This episode has frequently been called the best Doctor Who Dalek story ever made and it's not really all of that hard to see why and so then join me as I review the episode that is quite easily a fan favourite episode with the episode in question being called simply just "Genesis Of The Daleks" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is The Doctor , Sarah and Harry are sent to the Daleks home world of Skaro to help to prevent there initial creation but they have to deal with an evil scientist whom may or may not have bigger plans for the Daleks then originally thought of. Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured  presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really freaking good with the story also being very freaking well told and very well written as well in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is of course Tom Baker as The Doctor  , the late Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith and the late Ian Marter as Harry Sullivan. Also starring in this episode is the late Michael Wisher as Davros , Peter Miles as Nyder , Stephen Yardley as Sevrin , Harriet Philpin as Bettan , Dennis Chinnery as Gharman , James Garbutt as Ronson , Guy Siner as Ravon , Jeremy Chandler as Gerrill , Drew Wood as Tane , Andrew Johns as Kravos , Tom Georgeson as Kavell , Ivor Roberts as Mogran , John Franklyn-Robbins as Time Lord and the late and the most certainly great Roy Skelton as All Of The Voices Of The Daleks.

Now then om terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really freaking good. Which yeah really shouldn't come as an absolute surprise to absolutely anybody whatsoever as the acting this season has so far been really freaking good and so then it only makes sense that this episode would also have some really freaking good acting inti as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then this episode is the first episode to introduce to us the creator of the Dalek race in Davros whom I really did like in this very freaking episode. Since he was very frightening at times and at times he could also quite charming and quite smart as well with him more often then not thinking to or perhaps even three steps ahead which does in all honesty make Davros come across as being a genuinely good or perhaps even great leader in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this episode is rather shockingly a take of morality since The Doctor is forced to question his own morels in a rather iconic scene just as Davros has gotten of all of his morels. This does lead to a rather interesting parallel between the two characters as both characters are scientists but one character wants to see the Daleks be fully created where as the other having witnessed all of the horrors that the Dalek race will inflict upon the universe wants to see Daleks either destroyed or turned into something else entirely and that makes for a rather interesting parallel between these two rather freaking iconic characters in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then what I really didn't like about this episode was the mask that they used to create Davros since it makes it look like the characters eyes are closed. Which yes I know is a small thing to complain about but in my defence tho the eyes are the window to the soul and so when you deney us access to those eyes it makes the character come across as being a tad bit lifeless and plus it was just weird design choice in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this episode did have really impressive shots in it with my personal favourite shot being the one where Sarah Jane and some Thals are climbing up some scaffolding which was just a really impressive shot that did in all honesty have e wondering they managed to get a shot like that into this show. Since Doctor Who was never a big budgeted show since all of the serials were made on a literal shoe string budget and so to see some rather impressive shots in this episode is a very good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then this six episode serial had a grand total running time of roughly two hours and twenty two minuets. Which is the absolutely perfect amount of time for any Dalek serial to last since a Dalek serial needs alot more time in order to set up it's main storyline and so giving this story six episodes really did help out this storyline alot since it meant that things were developed at alot more naturel and a rather freaking organic pace in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.

Now then what I personally found to be rather shocking was that there was actually quite alot of action in this very episode which means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode and well then all of the action that was actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really freaking good. Which was something that did in all honesty catch me of guard since when you think of Classic Doctor Who you don't genuinely think of good action scenes but nope the action that we actually got in this was really freaking in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this episode was everything that it was built up to be and more because yes this episode was so freaking good and it's episode that I would very freaking highly recommend any self respecting Doctor Who to watch because this episode that good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all pf the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review which means that this very episode erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 9.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Doctor Who fandom wiki page , Amazon . CO . UK and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very review being the wonderful Google Images since all of the images that are currently up and and featured / presented to us on Google Images are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
