Fraggle Rock "Beginnings" AND "Wembley And The Gorgs" Review

Jim Henson fans there is a new Jim Henson Productions TV show coming (as of this writing) tomorrow morning and as such just to give you a hint as to what this new TV show is I thought that i'd take a look back at the first two episodes of another Jim Henson Productions TV show. I will very much admit that I missed this show growing up and so I never got to watch this show as a kid and so then join me as I watch and then thus review the first two episodes of the original Fraggle Rock with the episodes in question being called simply just "Beginnings" and "Wembley And The Gorgs" enjoy.

The plot of beginnings is Gobbo has to learn to conquer his fears of facing a giant monster to retrieve his first letter from Uncle Travelling Matt and the plot of Fraggle Rock Wembley And The Gorgs is Wembley has to save his friends before they all turned into slaves. Now then in terms of plot in all honesty really did prefer the plot of the first episode "Beginnings" just because it showed how wonderfully creative this show could be where as the second episodes plotline really didn't do that for me in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in both of these episodes is Muppet performer Jerry Nelson as Gobo Fraggle , Muppet performer Dave Goelz as Boober Fraggle and Muppet performer Steve Whitmire Muppet Performer e as Wembley Fraggle. Also starring in both of these episodes is Kathryn Mullen as Mokey Fraggle , Karen Prell as Red Fraggle and Fluffinella  , Richard Hunt as Junior Gorg , Gerard Parkes as Doc , Patricia Leeper as Ma Gorg and Gord Robertson as Pa Gorg.

Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes was in all honesty really freaking good. Which really shouldn't come as complete and total surprise to absolutely anybody whatsoever considering that the performers that are involved with making this show are some really good freaking performers in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then out of all of the characters the one that I found to be really freaking funny was that of Uncle Travelling Matt. This is simply because the set up the creators of this show put him in allows him to get into really funny situations however tho I fear that this one joke of him mistaking human things for other things is going to get old really freaking fast and that is something that I hope isn't the case because it's a really funny freaking joke for his character to have in my freaking opinions anyways /at least.

So now then I really do have to talk about the actual puppets that we see in these first episodes simply because alot of these puppets look really freaking good. On top of all of that there were some certain shots that are both episodes that in all honesty really did have me wondering how they created that scene because of the fact that really do have puppets of all shapes and sizes and that was something that really did help make this show stand out from all of the rest of the TV shows that are out there right freaking now in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then I have to be honest here and say both of these episodes seemed pretty freaking boring to me personally. Simply because there really wasn't enough there either plot wise or character wise to keep me invested since all I was doing was watching a bunch of characters whom had thus far at least shown no character and no personality traits whatsoever and that is a very freaking bad thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then the world building that is done within these first two episodes is in all honesty the best part of these first two episodes. This is simply because you get to see how other creatures live there lives and you also get to discover things like for example the fact that the Fraggles are seen as slaves to the Gorgs and the construction race of people just love to build things for people because it makes them happy all of this helps to make the world of Fraggle Rock seem alot more rich and fulfilled then what it might actually be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then each of the episodes that I watched for this review lasted around twenty four to twenty five minuets each which means that that combined the grand total running time of both these first episodes combined is rough around forty five minuets to fifty minuets long. I will so that the twenty five minuet running time is a bit on the long side for a show that's this light on plot tho just because there really isn't enough there in terms of either storyline of plotline or even characters to help to fulfill that very freaking large amount of running time in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then this show is meant to be a comedy show after all and that means and that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes was in all honesty really freaking good. Which was something that I wasn't entirely surprised by since these first two episodes alone were written by regular writer for The Muppets Jerry Juhl whom was a very freaking funny man and whom was also a very freaking funny screen writer as well in my personal freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall these first two episodes aren't perhaps the best representation of this show it's either that or the hype has been built up for this show so much that it really matter how good these first two episodes were because nothing would ever be able live to the hype it's one or the other in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in these very episodes in this very review and well then these very episodes get a score of an 8 out of 10 for "Beginning" and a 7.5 out of 10 or "Wembley And The Gorgs" which gives us a combined total score of an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official The Muppets fandom wiki page and from Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images this film being the official The Muppets fandom wiki page this is because all of the images that I got and that currently up and featured and on the official The Muppets fandom wiki page are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly high in definition.
