Doctor Who " Knock Knock" Spoiler Free Review

Hello there Doctor Who fans it's that time of the week once again where we look back on the latest episode of the show and i tell you what i thought about so here we go with my review of series 10 episode 4 "Knock Knock".

The plot for this weeks episode is Bill Potts and her friends rent an house to live in after a recommendation from its landlord but The Doctor notices something wrong with the house when the floor and the walls creak and creatures come crawling out of the wood. Yeah it's a horror themed episode and if i'm being honest i kinda liked it i had no idea where the story was going then when you add the fact that the pacing of this weeks episode was really great i can there for see alot of people enjoying this episode.

Of course we have Peter , Matt and Pearl in the episode and if i'm being honest performance wise this was so far Pearl's weakest episode and i guess you could say the same for Peter since he has nothing to do this time round but for me the standout performer was David Suchet who is wonderfully creepy as the landlord and was a total joy to watch and the rest of the cast to me just seem like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo only on more drugs.

Now what i found out while doing some research for this review is the fact that the villains for this weeks episode are actually from Greek Mythology it's something that i found to be quite interesting but now i have to wonder how much of what they did in the episode was from the writer's own imagination or was something that was featured in Greek Tales but either way it's something that i think history fans should infact look into.

Now i'm not to sure if i could get away with using a picture of what the monster from Greek Mythology and this episode so i'm using to pictures one is of the possible real life monster and the other isn't but as for the creature in this weeks episode i think it was great that they did something different and without giving to much away there's a great twist that makes the villain more tragic and human.

I've been pretty positive on this episode thus far but i've got to admit that there was something that was truly lacking from this horror episode and that's the actual scares to put it bluntly there was none there was a few jump scares but i don't count those as true scares as there very cheap and easy to do.

I couldn't find any images of the house from the episode but i will say that i actually liked the outside look of the building to me it reminded me alot of Hogwarts and i'm not sure if that was deliberate or not and i liked the fact that it gave you this creepy horror vibe that i as a horror fan really liked.

Overall i'd say that this is the weakest episode so far of series 10 but that doesn't mean it doesn't have some good things in it for me tho the episode is a 7 out of 10
