Sacrifice 2011 Review

It's been quite a while since I last reviewed a wrestling show and even tho i've tried to find a wrestling show to talk about they were all just long. Well now I think that i've found a show that is worth talking about with this show in particualr being really rather well known with the added benefit of hindsight and so then join me as I review the show that really was the last show that a wrestling legend wrestled on with the show in question being called simply just "Sacrifice 2011" enjoy.

The biggest plot line going into this show is the plot lone between Jeff Jarrett , Karen Jarrett and Kurt Angle. It is weird that the biggest storyline going into this show actually doesn't involve the world championship nor does it involve either of the two biggest factions in the company at this time those being Immortal and Fortune but at the same time when you have two legends going off against each other of course your going to male them the biggest storyline in your company as that's who alot of people are going to be watching this event for and to this shows credit it does have some fun with advancing that storyline.

The set for this show is the same as it always is for alot of the TNA shows since around 2005 with no changes added. Using the Impact Zone does make sense from a money saving point of view does make alot of sense as it means that you don't have to set anything up as it's already there built and ready to go but at the same time for a PPV you expect there to be something new and different for your stage and when you dont do that all it does is make your show look cheap and given the amount of talent on this show alone TNA is anything but cheap which only makes the fact that they use the iconic Impact Zone set seem all the more odd as they have the money and they have to the fanbase to fill out an arena and give us a rather unique looking set.

I'm honestly shocked that took TNA as long as it did to start running arena shows as the company was very popular in 2005 and 2011. With the company frequently selling out not only house shows but also weekly tapings as well and while what help to make TNA standout was the six sided ring which is sadly nowhere to be seen in this show they still had more then enough top tier talent to sell out arenas and if they did that then they could have been some really serious competition to the WWE but as it is they never will and never can be some serious competition as they when they did take that chance to run arena shows the company was dwindling in popularity as the company really failed to strike when the iron was hot which is really what they should have done.

This show is actually rather infamous as it's the last televised wrestling show that Chyna actually wrestled on. Which is a shame given the quality of the match that she's in on this show but she still did look really good and if she got the right mental help she could have had a good run with TNA as for obvious reasons another stint in the WWE would be out of the question but for one reason or another she only wrestled one match for TNA with this match being the last televised match that she would ever wrestle as for some unknown reason prior to her death Chyna never wrestled for anyone again be it in TNA or on the independent scene which is weird because she could still wrestle and having her name on the card would pull in alot of people for a small time independent show.

There was one thing that really did bug me about the Mickie James Vs Madison Rayne and that's the fact that they literally stop the match to continue the story between Madison Rayne and Tara. This was something that didn't really need to be done as they already did that during the backstage interview for this match and they could have done it again without having to stop the match just by having Tara attack Madison after loosing the match clean to Mickie as having Mickie pin Madison after she was knocked out by Tara really makes Mickie really look like a heel as she really basically cheated to win when if you had Mickie beat her clean you then she really would still look like a face and then you could have Madison just yell at Tara before Tara finally snaps and attacks her thus turning Tara face in the process.

For some reason both this show and alot of TNA PPV's have the same pattern with it being match , interview and match. While this show does try to mix things up by including some tales from the tape segments and one in ring segment it oddly makes the show predictable as the backstage stuff adds nothing new to the storylines that there advancing and the tales of the tape stuff doesn't tell us anything new about the people taking part in the match which is a shame because the commentators do add in their own thoughts during those segments which can be entertaining when they start to banter with each other but there something that should only be used for big matches and yet here there really used alot which just takes away from the importance of the matches.

When I say that this card has alot of really talented wrestlers on it i'm not kidding as all of the matches have at least one talented wrestler in it. Which was something that I really wasn't expecting to be the case as when you think of TNA nine times out of ten you don't really think of incredibly talented wrestlers let alone all of this shows matches having at least one if not two talented wrestlers in them thus really shouldn't come as much of a surprise as TNA around this time was still really popular and they still got alot of really talented wrestlers to sign up with them because of the more really relaxed schedule that they had at the time and that talent really does get to shine in a good few of this shows matches.

Now then this shows has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and fifty three minuets and nine seconds. Which is a solid running time for this show as alot of the matches on this show don't last for that long with the same thing also being true for both the backstage stuff and the in ring segments as well however with that being said with this long of a running time it would have worked better in this shows favor if some the matches where a little bit longer just because alot of them end rather abruptly with the finishes coming out of nowhere alot of the time which is something that would ave been fixed if those matches ran even just five minuets longer with the best example of this being the Beer Money Vs "Cool Blooded" Matt Hardy and "Wild Cat" Chris Harris match where the ending to that match really dud come out of nowhere and I will admit this show really does have some good pacing to it.

So now then as this is a wresting show that means that I have to actually talk abut the actual wrestling that's actually feature / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual wrestling that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty really good. As this sow really does have some rather solid wrestling matches alot of the time as the Robbie E Vs Brian Kendrick just wasn't that good it's not that either wrestler was bad in the match because they weren't it's more due to the fact that either performer just couldn't get much of a reaction out of the crowd and the Robbie E gimmick just not really working well at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a rather solid but given that show takes place during the very much hated Hulk Hogan era of TNA it's also a show that's not as good as it really could have been as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very show in this very review and as such that means that this very show earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Pro Wrestling fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from these very special that I used in this very review being Google Images simply just due to the fact that alot of the images that are on Google Images are all really fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
