Justice League Unlimited "Initiation" Review

The Justice League are a team that have been around for decades but despite that haven't spawned that many TV shows either live action or animated. Well in 2001 that's exactly what we got and it turned out to be such a hit show that just three later a sequel show featuring a much more expanded line up of characters debuted on Cartoon Network and so then join me as I review the episode that introduces Green Arrow to the Justice League with the episode in question being called simply just "Initiation" enjoy.

The plot of the episode is Green Arrow , Green Lantern , Captain Atom and Supergirl are tasked with helping out a country that has had a nuclear accident only to find out that the accident has created a much more bigger problem then first anticipated. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad of a plot but at the same time it wasn't that good of a plot either with this episodes plot not really explaining why Supergirl and Captain Atom were chosen for the Justice League but this episodes plot was very entertaining and was was also really very engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne / Batman and George Eads as Captain Atom and Robber 2. Also starring in this episode is Phil LaMarr as John Stewart / Green Lantern , Lex Lang as Robber 1 and A Soldier , Carl Lumbly as J'onn J'onzz , George Newbern as Clark Kent / Kal-El / Superman , Kin Shriner as Oliver Queen / Green Arrow , James Sie as General Kwan and A Scientist and Nicholle Tom as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With the actors that you expect a great performance from well and truly delivering but what really sells the acting in this episode is the fact that the cast members that you don't know what kind of performance to expect really do deliver performance wise in this episode in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the animation for this episode is the legends and the greats that are currently over at DR Movie Co., LTD.. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good and was alot better then what it really had any right to be and then what I thought that it would be as well.

For those of you that don't know know even tho it features an entirely different cast the 2010 direct to DVD animated film Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths is meant to serve as bridge between the Justice League animated series and this show. I don't know why they didn't have the story for this episode be about the league expending as the original show was known for having each episode be a multipart episode and here it would make sense as they'd have to explain why the Justice League now needs expanding an still tell a good story.

I really did like that this version of Green Arrow is one that looks after the average joe and is more concerned with stopping small time crimes. As this is something we really hadn't seen in the DCAU before now with each of the main heroes being more focused on taking down the big bad guy and less focused on stopping a small time robbery as both are just as important to being a hero and both are things that each member of the Justice League should have been focused on just as much as they are with the other.

There are some things that I didn't like in this episode like for example Captain Atom who was just given a pointless subplot with Supergirl and his character was ultimately useless in the main plot of the episode as well. I also didn't like the fact that Green Arrow only joined the team because he saw a pretty woman just because it goes to show you that he's learned nothing from the plot of the episode and while having him fawn over a pretty woman is great for his Oliver Queen persona it's not something that works or his Green Arrow persona.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty three minuets and forty five seconds. Which for this episode is a really good running time to have as this episodes plot doesn't have alot interms of either plot and story and so stretching this episodes plot tom even just two episodes would be stretching this already thin story even thinner but at the same time I can't help but wonder what this story would even be like if it was even just one episode longer but I will admit that this episode does have some really good pacing to it tho with no scene in the episode really lasting longer then what it really needs to in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With this episodes action being really cool and really showing of just what it is exactly that both Green Arrow and Supergirl bring to each mission in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a great start to the show and I can very easily see why this show became as popular as it was as this show really does give you a good example of just how good this show and could be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode earns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official DC Database fandom wiki page , the official DC Animated Universe fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very review being the wonderful the official DC Animated Universe fandom wiki page since all of the images that are currently up and and featured / presented to us on the official DC Animated Universe fandom wiki page are all fairly high in quality and as well as being really fairly freaking high in definition.
