Beetlejuice "The Big Face Off" And "Skeletons In The Closet" Review

The spooky season is upon us and well with there soon to be alot of ghouls and ghosts running around I thought that i'd remind you all of someone who is qualified to handle them all. As it's been a while since I last talked about an episode of this show I thought that now was the right time to delve back into the madness that is this show as it really is just an insane show that for strange reason had a bunch of eleven minuet episodes mixed in with a bunch of twenty two minuet episodes and so the join me as I review the episodes that really do need to be seen to be believed with the episodes in question being called simply just "The Big Face Off" and "Skeletons In The Closet" enjoy.

The plot of "The Big Face Off" is Lydia and Beetlejuice enter a scaring competition and attempt to win the show whilst the plot of "Skeletons In The Closet" is both Beetlejuice and Lydia have to stop of of Beetlejuice's skeletons from telling people how he really feels about them. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well the in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty OK for the most part as the plot of "Skeletons In The Closet" was very heavy handed in it's message and the plot of "The Big Face Off" was really entertaining but was also rather lackluster as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in these episodes is Stephen Ouimette as Beetlejuice , Alyson Court as Lydia Deetz and Roger Dunn as Charles Deetz. Also starring in these episodes is Susan Roman as Percy and Poopsie , Elizabeth Hanna as Delia Deetz , Len Carlson as Barf Biffman and The Monster Across the Street , Charles Kerr as Jacques LaLean , Tabitha St. Germain as Ginger , voice acting legend Tara Strong as Additional Voices , Colin Fox as Additional Voices , Keith Hampshire as Additional Voices , Dan Hennessey as Additional Voices , Ray Landry as Additional Voices , Ron Rubin as Additional Voices and Joseph Sherman as Additional Voices.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad. With alot of the cast members in these episodes turning some really good performances which really isn't shocking given who is starring in these episodes as alot of the cast members that are in these very episodes either are or really would go on to become some really good and even legendary voice actors and would therefor know how to turn in a good performance in both of this shows two segments.

Doing the animation for these episodes is Shanghai Animation Film Studio , Shanghai Morning Sun Animation and Wang Film Productions Company. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad with the animation in not only these episodes but the show as a whole being really creative and genuinely really impressive to look at as well.

For some reason the makers of this show chose to include several half episodes inbetween dozens of full length episodes. Which to me makes no sense as having half episodes really wasn't a thing when this show was being made and it's more of thing that that only became popular around thirteen years ago plus it means that episodes in this show as in the case for "The Big Face Off" can't be fully developed as they have to rush along to the next plot point instead of just fully developing the story and giving the story alot room to breathe which is a shame as "The Big Face Off" is a really fun episode if only it wasn't rushed due to being a half episode which is something that really did harm the first segment.

Out of the two segments I enjoyed "The Big Face Off" alot more then "Skeletons In The Closet" as "The Big Face Off" was the more creative episode. However at the same time I liked "Skeletons In The Closet" as well as that episode could at times get really creative and was a really fun episode and the idea of literally having skeletons in your closet was a really fun and creative idea if only the segment wasn't so heavy handed with it's message of lying is bad with that heavy handed message really bringing down my overall enjoyment of the episode whereas the previous segment was just a fun little segment that wasn't afraid to just be fun and at times really funny as well.

What really bugged me about the second is that while it does rightfully make lying out to be a bad thing. They ignore the fact that one of Beetlejuice's lies was to protect the feelings of one of his friends and the episode never addresses that aspect of the episode which is a shame because it would have brought up a very good point in that while yes lying is mostly a very bad thing to do there are however times where you have to lie be it in order to protect someone's feelings or when your keeping a secret for a friend both of which are things that the segment could have addressed but they instead chose not to in order to make things more simpler for the shows child audience.

Now then segment one of this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twelve minuets and six seconds whereas segment two of this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twelve minuets and five seconds. With the shows second segment having the better running time as that storyline really didn't have enough plot to cover anything longer then that but with the shows first segment you could have stretched that out to a full twenty two minuet episodes which in the end would have helped the segment out in the long run as it would have allowed the segment to breath but I will admit that both of this episodes segments really do have some really good pacing to them.

So now then as this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / resented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad. With both episodes having some funny jokes in them but I will admit that out of the two segments it was the first segment that was more funny just because the plot and set up for that segment allowed for there to be alot more really funny jokes and that did make the segment all the more funnier because of it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall these were a pair of really good segments even tho the second segment did have a really heavy handed message in it it was still a really enjoyable segment that was really fun to see for the most part in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in these very episodes in this very review and as such that really does mean that these very episodes really do earn themselves a grand total combined score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Beetlejuice fandom wiki page , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very review being the official Beetlejuice fandom wiki page since all of the images that are currently up and and featured / presented to us on freaking the official Beetlejuice fandom wiki page are all fairly freaking high in freaking quality and as well as being really very fairly freaking high in definition.
