Batman "Almost Got 'Im" Review

Batman fans I think i've made it pretty clear by now that I really do love Batman: The Animated Series heck i'd even go as far as to say that it;s one of the best animated superhero shows ever made. Well there's one episode that alot of fans of the show always point to as one of if not the best in the whole entire show and that's the episode that i'm about to check out today and so then join me as I review the episode that proves that an episode of this show doesn't need Batman in every single scene to be a good episode with the episode in question being called simply just "Almost Got 'Im" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is Poison Ivy , Killer Croc , The Penguin , Two-Face and The Joker all sit around a table and tale tales of how they almost got Batman. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good with this episodes plot really being really smart and really well written and put together as well as being genuinely quite entertaining as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne / Batman and Adrienne Barbeau as Selina Kyle / Catwoman. Also starring in this episode is Star Wars and voice acting legend Mark Hamill as The Joker , Aron Kincaid as Waylon Jones / Killer Croc , Richard Moll as Harvey Dent / Two-Face , Diane Pershing as Dr. Pamela Isley / Poison Ivy , Arleen Sorkin as Dr. Harleen Quinzel , Harley Quinn and Paul Williams as Oswald Cobblepot / The Penguin.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this episode was in all honesty really good. Which for this show isn't all that new as this show has always had some really good acting in it which given this shows cast and this shows incredible script isn't that surprising and that's something that carries through to this episode as well as this episode has some incredible writing to it and so all the cast have to do is say the words as their written and boom a good performances would come out of them naturally.

Doing the animation for this episode is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Dong Yang Animation Co., Ltd. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about thew actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good with this episodes animation being feature film worthy because it's that good.

This episode does something that's rather unique and that's tell an episode almost entirely from the point of view of the villains. Which is something that i'd wish more Batman media is general would do as it gives us some pretty fun and in the case of Killer Croc funny interactions all of which help to make the episode even more entertaining then what it already is and this is something that I want to see done as say part of a live action movie as interms of live action movies we haven't seen Batman's villains sit around talking to each other all that often which is a shame as that could make for something that's truly great to watch.

Speaking of Killer Croc while him not getting a chance to tell a story does make sense given what happens later on in the story. I think that it would have helped sell the fact that Batman is disguised as Killer Croc if he did tell a story just because it would then not only fool us the audience but it would also help to convince the rest of the villains as well which in turn would have helped with Batmans mission in this episode as well and given that Killer Croc is written as alot more of a comedy character in this episode it could have given us some much more needed levity as well.

I have to admit that I really did like the reveal that Batman is disguised as Killer Croc as it was just such a cool idea. It's something that also makes the episode re-watchable as well as it makes you wonder if the episode dropped some subtle clues as to what was really going on with Killer Croc and it really does help that the overall reveal is just so cool with Batmans mask eyes only being formed when the light of the bar that there in only hits him a certain way which just makes the reveal just all that much more cooler.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty two minuets and eighteen seconds. Which is a great time for this episode to last altho I wish that this episode was longer just so that some of the villains stories were given equal screen time with The Joker's taking up the most of the episodes running time which does make sense but when you have three other powerful villains all telling great and creative stories as well it just makes me wish there stories had equal screen time to that of The Jokers but as it is I have to say that this episode does have some really great pacing to it and that is something that might be lost if this episode was longer.

So now then since this is an action show that means that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad but that's also the issue because it's not that good either. With this episodes action not only being pretty take in comparison to other episodes but also rushed as well which is due to the fact that this episode was essentially telling four different stories in one episode and so certain things had to get trimmed and because of that the action in this episode does suffer because of it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was such a great episode and it's one that I highly recommend any fan of this show watch just because it is quite easily of this shows best ever episodes in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 9 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Batman: The Animated Series fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from the actual film that I personally used in this very review being the official Batman: The Animated Series fandom page simply because all of the images that are from this actual / very film and that I personally found that are currently up and on Batman: The Animated Series fandom wiki page are all very really fairly high in quality and as well as being very really fairly high definition.
