Sonic The Hedgehog "Sonic And Sally" Review

It's been a whopping three years since anything from the classic Sonic The Hedgehog TV series otherwise known as Sonic SatAM was covered and well then then I thought that it was about time that gets put to and end. With there being so many episodes of this show to chose from it really was hard to pick which episode to cover next and well then I think that i've found the perfect episode to review for you guys and so then join me as I review the episode that proves that you really should trust Tails with the episode in question being called simply just "Sonic And Sally" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is when Princess Sally is captured and a robot version of her is accidentally rescued by Sonic and friends the gang have to find the real Sally and rescue her before she to is turned into a robot. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that;s actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad as the episodes plot was one that was really well done but at the same time it was something that was rather on the weak side of things as well as it was very hard at times to tell what the actual plot of the episode was even meant to be with the plot of this episode being at best better suited for an eleven minuet cartoon then it was a twenty two minuet cartoon but on the flip side of that is the fact that this episodes plot did give us the chance to really showcase just how smart that Dr. Robotnik can be when he really wants to be and that is something that you very rarely get to see yet it's a key plot point in this episode in this episode with the only real issue with this episodes plot just being the fact that it's not the strongest plot that this show really could have had with the plot of this episode also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Family Matters star Jaleel White as Sonic The Hedgehog and voice acting legend Kath Soucie as Sally , Robot Sally and Nicole. Also starring in this episode is voice acting legend Christine Cavanaugh as Bunnie Rabbot , Mark Ballou as Rotor , voice acting legend Rob Paulsen as Antoine Depardieu , voice acting legend Frank Welker as Swat-Bots , Bradley Pierce as Tails , voice acting legend Charlie Adler as Snively and voice acting legend Jim Cummings as Doctor Robotnik and Swat-Bots.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featu4eed / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. Which is something that's to be expected given who is starring not only in this episode but in this show as a whole as alot of this shows actors are a bunch of really good voice actors all of whom really can deliver some really good performances something which we get in this episode as they all deliver some really good performances that make you wonder why these actors haven't appeared in more Sonic media as these characters as they play them just so well that you could very easily see them starring in another TV series or maybe a movie as these characters with the true standout performer in this episode being either Christine Cavanaugh as Bunnie Rabbot who was just a pure joy to listen to in this episode or Jim Cummings who was really creepy as Doctor Robotnik and yet when it came to playing some of the Swat-Bots he was also really funny and goofy something that even the best of voice actors can;t really pull off and yet he does in this episode really easily with the acting that's in this very episode really being helped by the fact that this episodes script was just so good that all this episodes actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance really will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very episode.

Doing the animation for this episode is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Saerom Animation and Milímetros S.A.. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good with the episodes backgrounds looking really good like they have alot of actual thought and effort put into them with the best example of this being Robotnik's lair as it looks grimy and dirty and lived in which makes sense as this is a lair that he does live in and so it would look both dirty and grimy compare this with the homebase of Sonic and friends where it still looks lived it but it looks cleaner while still having alot of effort put into them which is perfect for there characters as well as they are meant to be the good guys and so the place that that call home would look more cleaner then Robotnik's lair as they would have taken the time to clean up any mess that they left behind where as with Robotnik it's not in his character to clean anything up and as a result of that is of course his lair would look dirty as that's perfect for his character with all of the episodes characters having some really nice fluid movements to them as well and it could even be argued that it's during the episodes action is where the episodes animation truly stands out and really comes alive as that's just how good the animation not only in this episode but in this show as a whole really is.

Even tho he does play a pretty vital part in the plot of this episode Tails really isn't in the episode all that much. With him only appearing in the middle and the end of the episode in a few brief scenes but all of the scenes that he does appear in are vital to the plot of the episode as he's the one that not only discovers that the fake Sally is actually a robot but he;s the one that even goes to tell Sonic that Sally is a fake and yet he's not in the episode all that much which is something that really does make a whole lot of sense as there's no way that you can get his character into the story as he's just a little kid in this show and as such showing him actively attacking Robotnik's lair whilst it would work in making Robotnik look like a bad it still wouldn't work for Tails as there's not much that this version of the characters could actually do as he has nothing special about him like Bunny does or Sonic does for example and as a result of that is the fact that the only place that you could put this characters in the parts in which he appears in the episode and have him play the role that he plays in the episode which while it still very vital to the plot of the episode it's also something that doesn't allow for us the audience to see what his character actually brings to the team and as a result of that is the fact that he feels like that he's only here just for the sake of being there and that's really it as that's the role that really is perfect for this version of the character.

For some reason even tho it's painfully obvious that Sally is a Robot the episode chooses to make Sonic look really dumb by having him until the episodes third act to work out that she's a robot. Yet he's meant to be the teams co-leader with the real life Sally being the other co-leader and yet even tho she doesn't do all of the things that the start of the episode sets up that they both do before a mission Sonic still doesn't pick up on the fact that this version of Sally isn't a good guy and even the voice for Robot Sally sounds very robotic and while yes she does act like her normal counterpart even down to her not only knowing all of the comrades names and what there routines are what she doesn't have are Sally's memories and knowing what Robotnik is like that is something that Sonic should have tested when he rescued what he thought was the real Sally and while yes he was being chased by the Swat-Bots at the time the second that they escaped the prison and had sometime to ask her a question then he really should have done it just be sure that he got the right person as that way he wouldn't be putting the lives of the rest of his friends and himself at risk and yet because he didn't do that and because of the fact that he failed to pick up on the fact that Sally was evil then it really does make Sonic look not only really dumb but also a bad leader as those are things that a good leader really would have done and yet for some strange reason Sonic doesn't do it.

One of the thing that not only this episode but the show as whole got right was the fact that it not only made Robotnik out to be a really terrifying villain but it also made him out to be a rally smart villain as well. As even tho he doesn't know where Sonic and his friends are based what he did do was put a locator chip inside of Robot Sally so that he could track her movements and there for find out where they all live as that way he could take them all out which is a really good idea but there was one tying that let that idea down and thats the fact that he forgot to make sure that the Robot Sally had all of the real Sally's memories as you can have someone both look like and talk like someone but if they don't get all of the facts right about that same someone then the whole plan very quickly falls apart but the episode does more then make up for that by also having be a really creepy villain with him having this really menacing voice and always being covered by lots of shadows is his really dark and grimy lair all of which does add up to him being a really creepy villain and it's something that makes you wonder why other Sonic media haven't really portrayed him this way as alot of other Sonic media have always had him be more like his Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog counterpart in that he's always goofy and always making jokes which is fine for one or two versions in or two scenes but by always doing that your making the character as whole seem like less of a threat then what he really should be as he should be a really smart and creepy villain and not a villain that's always cracking jokes and acting like a goofball.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty two minuets and forty nine seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstanderd running time for this show and to this episodes credit it really does have just the right amount of plot there to really cover that amount of running time and while it really doesn't fully develop it's plot as it would have been nice to find out why they are attacking Robotnik's robot making factory at the start of the episode and while attacking that building was so important to to them as it would have added some actual stakes to the episode what little we do get does work really well as we get to see just how the real life Sally acts when she's not a mission which granted is scene through the eyes of Robot Sally but it is still something that works really well with her being more of a mother figure to Tails even going as far as to read him a bed time story and do all the voices of all of the characters which is sweet to see but at the same time tho it would have been nice to see all of that through the eyes of the actual Sally and not her robot counterpart something that the episode really could have done if it was just a few minuets longer and it's something that wouldn't be seen as filler as it sets up something that does get payed off near the end of the episode when we see Robot Sally acting differently but I really will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho,

So now then as this is an action show that really does mean that I gave to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. As it was the kind of action that you'd expect to find in a kids Saturday morning kids cartoon show but what sets the action in this episode apart is the fact that it's were the animation in this very episode really does get the chance to shine and really leap of screen as while we dont get to see Sonic doing all that much action wise as it's really only Bunny that gets to do alot of the action in this episode the best that we do get to see Sonic do mainly just involve him running and that's really it and while it does look good it does also lack that extra something that you really want to see in an action show as Sonic doesn't really get the chance to use any of his powers as he's to bust trying to rescue Sally twice in the same episode which does make sense but for a show that is not only named after him but also makes him out to be this really big deal in the shows own theme song you do expect him to a bit more action with the bits of action that Bunny gets to do like taking destroying several robots at once does look really cool and indeed all of this episodes action is really cool to see in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this was a really good episode of a really good show it's still an episode that could have been alot better then what it ended up being as it had all of the potential to be a really good episode of the show and yet all it really needed was a just little extra running time in order to reach that full potential as that's just how good that this episode and this episode really well and truly really is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad thins that are in this very episode in this very review and such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old core of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in his very review from the official Sonic The Hedgehog fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from this very episode that I used in this very review being the really great the official Sonic The Hedgehog fandom wiki page really simply just due to the fact that really alot of if not really all of the images that are all really from this very episode with alot of them being better quality then what you'd really think of and all of the images are really of course up and really on the official Sonic The Hedgehog fandom wiki page are also really all fairly high in quality and as well as them all being really fairly freaking high in definition.

My First Impressions Of The Sonic Prime TV Series

Sonic The Hedgehog is a character that's seen quite a resurgence in popularity within the past few years or so. With the character spawning not one but two hit live action movies with a third one in development and TV series based on those live action movies also in the works well now Netflix has just debuted a new animated TV series and well you all just knew that I had to take a look at this show and so then join me as I give you my first impressions that trys to put a new spin on Sonic and his friends with the TV series in question being called simply just "Sonic Prime" enjoy.

The plot of this show is after fighting Dr. Eggman Sonic suddenly finds himself trapped inside of a different universe and now ha to try and find his home. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty pretty decent with this shows plot so far being really entertaining but at the same time also treading upon some very familiar ground in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this show is Deven Mack as Sonic the Hedgehog and Orbot and Ashleigh Ball as Miles "Tails" Prower and Tails Nine. Also starring in this show is Adam Nurada as Knuckles The Echidna , Shannon Chan-Kent as Amy Rose and Rusty Rose , Kazumi Evans as Rouge The Bat and Rebel Rouge , Brian Drummond as Dr. Eggman , Mr. Dr. Eggman and Dr. Done It , Ian Hanlin as Shadow The Hedgehog , Big The Cat and Denizen 1998 and Vincent Tong as Renegade Knucks , Dr. Babble , Dr. Don't and Dr. Deep.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty really good. With all of this shows voice cast turning in some really good performances and doing a good job of making this outrageous and insane script work for them.

Try as I might I cannot for the absolutely life of me find out anywhere online who did the animation for this show. Now then interms if what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty not that bad with this shows animation being alot better then what it really did have any right to be.

For some reason this show borrows alot of it's set up from the first Sonic The Hedgehog TV series only with worse looking animation , characters and writing. Which is a shame because the idea of Sonic having to rescue a city is a good idea but from the first two episodes that i've seen its not being done all that well and such all it does is remind that I could be watching a much better Sonic The Hedgehog TV show and that's not a good thing at all.

This show does seem to be setting up a mystery with Sonic since there's a large portion of time where we don't know where Sonic was. Which isn't a bad idea but it's not enough to carry an entire show neither is the sole premise of the show itself since you could very easily solve both of them within three episodes and this show is going to have twenty four episodes which means that we're going to have alot of filler episodes heck even the second episode of this show is borderline a filler episode since it adds nothing to the episode of the show.

Like I just said this show is going to be twenty four episodes long spread over three "seasons" which I can't really see that show doing all that well with all of those episodes. Since there's not really a sense of worldbuilding going on at least in these first two episodes which is a shame because the show does have a storyline that's open to exploring the lore of the Sonic franchise and yet so far this show just isn't exploring any of the Sonic lore.

Now then the first episode of this show has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty three minuets and twenty six seconds where as episode two has / had an exactly grand total running time of exactly twenty five minuets and nine seconds. I have to admit that episode one has the better running time since it makes this show feel all the more epic and I really do think that the rest of the show should have had the running time that episode one had since that would then allow for more epic stories to be told and for character development to happen in a more naturel way.

So now then since this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty not that bad. With this shows action being rather rightfully cartoonish however this shows action was also rather lackluster with this shows action not really showing us anything that's all that cool , interesting or even entertaining in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this show isn't that bad but at the same time it's also not all that good either it's sure to please little kids but the die hard Sonic fans will most likely not find this show to be all that good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very show in this post and since this is only my first impressions I won't be giving this show a rating however if i'm still watching this show when this shows final episodes airs or is released then i'll give this a show review and a rating as well but so far it's not of to very good start at all.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very post well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally used all of the images that I personally used in this very post from the official Sonic The Hedgehog fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very post being the wonderful the official Sonic The Hedgehog fandom wiki page since all of the images that are currently up and and featured / presented to us on the official Sonic The Hedgehog fandom wiki page are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.

Sonic The Hedgehog / Sonic SatAm "Sonic Boom" Review

Ladies and gentle Sonic The Hedgehog is a character that despite being really popular with both video games fans and mainstream audiences he has very rarely gotten adapted by American animation studios. Well I thought i'd look at an actually good Sonic The Hedgehog animated series episode and it helps that this is an episode that've been thinking of taking a look at for sometime and so join me as I review the debuting episode of the animated series that is called simply just "Sonic The Hedgehog" with the episode in question being called simply just "Sonic Boom" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is Sonic , Princess Sally , Cat and Antoine Depardieu infiltrate the base of Dr. Robotnik looking to destroy some of Dr. Robotniks robots but while there Sally finds a message from her supposedly dead father and so the group sets out to see if Sally's father is truly dead or not without realising that Dr. Robotnik is right on their tale / tail. In terms of what I personally thought about the plot of this episode in all honesty I thought that the plot of this episode was really good with the story itself being both interesting and at the same time kind of heartbreaking and shocking.

Starring in this particular episode is voice acting legend Frank Welker as Cluck and as possibly Swat-Bot , voice acting legend and Disney legend Jim Cummings as Dr. Robotnik and as possibly Swat-Bot  and Jaleel White as Sonic The Hedgehog. Also starring in this episode is voice acting great Rob Paulsen as Antoine Depardieu , William Windom as Cat , voice acting great Kath Soucie as Sally and as Nicole and Charlie Adler as Snively.

In terms of what I personally thought of the acting in this episode in all honesty the acting in this episode was alot better then what I thought that it was going to be. Since I honestly thought that the acting in this particular episode was going to be pretty bad / suck but nope I was honestly shocked at how good the voice acting / acting in this episode actually was which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone given who is starring in this particular episode.

Doing the animation for this episode is Sae Rom (Searom Animation) and Milimetros Dibujos Animados (Milimetros S.A.) and don't worry if you haven't heard of Sae Rom because truth be told I haven't heard of any of Sae Rom either and nope Milimetros Dibujos Animados isn't a made up name it's actual real person who worked on this show. As for what I personally thought about the animation that's featured / presented to us in this particular episode in all honesty I thought that the animation that was featured / presented to us in this particular episode was so freaking good you can / could really tell that whoever was doing the animation on / for this episode was having a really good because every aspect of the animation in this episode is in my opinion at least well and truly fantastic to look at.

While Adventures Of Sonic dealt more with child friendly stories and had child friendly this show took the opposite approach and I honestly that telling dark stories with complex and well written characters honestly works well for this show and for this episode. Simply because it shows that the makers of both this particular episode of this show care about the characters and that the makers of this show and this episode know what makes the game characters and as well as how to make the characters that are created for this particular show somewhat interesting.

Character wise I really did like all of the hero characters in this episode and I thought that all of the hero characters were well written. The same thing can also be said for the villain characters in this episode since the villains in this episode (Dr. Robotnik and Snively) were really well written even both of the villain characters in this particular episode don't get alot of screen time which honestly does hurt the villain since it now makes it look like that both of the villain characters are angry for no apparent reason whatsoever and while that is a very major issue it didn't stop me from enjoying this episode and from enjoying both the hero and the villain characters that appear in this particular episode.

I will admit that out of the hero characters I did think that the character of Sally could have been written a bit better. Since in this episode she comes across as both incredibly smart and incredibly naïve at the same time since she knows how to basically hack into robots but yet at the same time she doesn't pick up on the fact that she's being followed which wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't for the fact that she's high up in a freedom fighter group called "The Knothole Freedom Fighters" and as such a little bit of consistency with her character would have been very much appreciated.

Now then boys and girls this particular episode has a grand total running time of twenty two minuets and thirty eight seconds. Which I honestly felt was a bit short for this episode and for this story since you very easily could have made this episode a multipart episode which honestly would have helped the story and it would have helped introduce us to all of this particular shows main cast of hero characters but as it is th story comes across as being rushed because the show has to meet these plot points in order to reach that twenty two minuet running time.

Now then boys and girls this is an action show after all and that means that I have to talk about the action that's in the actual episode itself and if i'm being honest I personally felt that the action that's featured / presented to us in this episode wasn't that good. Simply because there wasn't that much action in this episode and the action that we did get in this episode simply just wasn't inspiring , cool or even creative but that's just what I personally think and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways.

Overall this honestly a really good episode to what I believe is a really good show and i'm so glad that I got to finally check this episode of my never ending but still somehow ever growing list of things to review. Now then boys girls i've just talked about all of the good things and all of the bad things that I personally found in this particular episode in this very review and so that means that this episode gets a solid 7.5 out of 10 from me.

As for where I got all of the images that I used in this very review well I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Sonic The Hedgehog fandom wiki page and since I only went to the official Sonic The Hedgehog fandom wiki page for the images that I used in this very review. I have no choice but to recommend that you guys use the official Sonic The Hedgehog fandom wiki page if you guys want to use any images that that's to do with the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise.
