Doctor Who Am I Film Review

I make it no secret that i'm a huge Doctor Who fan and o when I heard that the franchise was spawning it's very first ever documentary. You can bet that I was going to check it the very first chance and well then now is the first chance that i've had to check out this film and I have to say that it is so so worth checking out and so then join me as I review that sees a writer get reacquainted with a fanbase that once hated him with the film in question being called simply just "Doctor Who Am I" enjoy.

The plot of he film is writer of the 1996 Doctor Who TV movie Matthew Jacobs goes on a journey to find himself in the American Doctor Who fandom the very same fandom that almost turned there backs on him all the way back in 1996. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with the films story being a very touching one and one that I thought to be very well told as well as being quite entertaining and rather moving at times as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is this films co-director and producer Matthew Jacobs and this films co-director , editor and producer Vanessa Yuille. Also starring in this film is Daphne Ashbrook , Nicholas Briggs , May Charters , Ken Deep , Carl Zohan , Cat Hyaesia , Paul McGann , Eliza Roberts the man who won't say no to literally any film Eric Roberts , Paul Salamoff and the producer of the Doctor Who 1996 TV movie Philip David Segal.

As for what I personally thought / felt about all of the interviews that are featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that all of the interviews that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film were pretty repetitive. Since alot of the people who are being interviewed just hit upon the same points which does get a bit repetitive and boring after I while.

This film does feature alot of the cast and crew that worked on the film and alot of them do seem like really nice people. Which for the most part was something that I expected to be the case altho I have to admit that I had no idea that Eric Roberts was also a nice person since he always came across as being a bit of jerk to me and so then seeing that he was a genuinely nice person was a nice and very welcome surprise I only wish that they got more crew members from the film to appear in this film since it would have been nice to see what the director of the 1996 film has to say about the film all of these many years later.

This film could have focused on the making of the film and putting the 1996 film in a new context by explaining how the things that people didn't like about that film are now present and liked in the show. However this film doesn't do that at least not all the time which is a shame because when it does do that that's when the film gets to be really interesting sadly all we are left with is a film is a film where it's main star essentially goes across America meeting fans and there's only so much that you can show that before it starts to get boring and that is something that very sadly does happen quite alot in this very film.

For some reason this film makes the American Doctor Who fanbase seem like angels and gives no love to other Doctor Who fans at all. This does somewhat make sense since Matthew Jacobs is based in America and so it does make sense that this film would focus alot on the American Doctor Who fanbase but at the same time tho without thew British Doctor Who fanbase there would be no Doctor Who to speak of and yet this film goes out of it's way to dis the British Doctor Who fans which is something that just truly irked me.

I really do like that this film presents the Doctor Who fandom as kind of like one big happy family which is true. Since out of all the fandoms out there the Doctor Who fandom is one of the most excepting and welcoming ones out there and the fact that this film presented that to us just goes to show that the makers of this really do understand the Doctor Who fandom and that is something that I will always be grateful for.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and twenty minuets and fifty seven seconds. Which I felt was a tad bit on the long side on this film to last since alot of the films interviews are just repeating the exact same points and as such that makes the film feel alot more boring then what it actually is but at the same time it's having that long of a running time that allows the film to reach the heartwarming moments that this film reaches which just wouldn't be possible if the film was shorter then what it actually is.

So now then since this film is basically a drama that means that I have to actually talk about the actual drama that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual drama that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty handled very well. With this films drama leading us to some very heartwarming moments all of which help make the film be alot more touching then what I perhaps could or perhaps even really should have been in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is a must watch for any die hard Doctor Who fan since even tho it doesn't give us any new information about the 1996 film it does paint the Doctor Who fandom in a rather great light and that will always be a good thing in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in his very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Wikipedia , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very review being the wonderful Google Images since all of the images that are currently up and and featured / presented to us on Google Images are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
