Olaf's Frozen Adventure Review

Frozen fans here is a review of something i hope you were excited for i know that this special has a lot of hate just due to the length of it and a few other factors as well but here is my review of Olaf's Frozen Adventure.

The plot of this special is basically Olaf goes to find Anna and Elsa and christmas tradition and that's really it in terms of plot the trailer did a good job of telling us the story and it goes exactly how you'd think it would go but i do give it some credit for coming up with an ending and a third act that i didn't see coming.

Now i have to say i didn't exactly watch this special the legal way so when i paused it on the cast credits i found out a few surprising actors supplied voices but returning for the special is Josh Gad , Kristen Bell , Idina Menzel and Jonathan Groff and there all pretty solid in the film Josh is actually pretty funny in this special. Now onto who i found out supplied some additional voices Robin from Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go! is in this as is Matthew Wood who voiced General Grievous in Star Wars Episode 3 and the one that really got me was Sarah Chalke who fans might now best as either Elliot Reed in Scrubs or as Becky in Roseanne.

I'm not actually sure if it would be fair for me to compare the animation in this special to that of the first movie but i can say that the animation in this film is not that great it's not TV quality but at the same time it's not quite feature film quality either it is good animation but for something that being shown on the big screen i expect better animation.

I will be one hundred per cent honest here this film actually has some funny moments and shockingly not all of them are in the trailer there's one joke in the second act which i'm shocked Disney allowed to be in the finished product but at the same time it's also the funniest joke in the whole thing and i'm sure it had some parents laughing.

I have to say while i can perfectly understand why some people might be upset with Disney by putting this special in front of Coco at the same time those people have to realise this was never advertised as a short film it was called a featurette not a short film but at the same time Disney have to share the blame because there now putting this special up on Netflix.

Now it wouldn't be a Frozen product without songs and i have to say the songs in this special for me was just ok there's not really one stand out song and i think that's because the duo that wrote the songs for the film and the short film didn't return for this special instead writing the songs are Kate Anderson and Elyssa Samsel and well let's just say i'm glad there not doing the sequel.

Overall this was a cute special and that's the best word i can use to describe it cute little kids will like and fans of Frozen might like it and that's all i can really say about it but for me this special isn't as good as Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas so it gets a solid 5 out of 10.
