My First Impressions Of The Grease: Rise Of The Pink Ladies TV Series

To say that Grease is a huge pop culture phenomenon would be like saying The Empire Strikes Back was a good movie no duh. As such it really was shocking when HBO Max announced that they would be making and broadcasting a prequel series well after that series then got moved over to Paramount+ things got even more interesting as we learned that this show would feature none of the films original characters and well the show has just debuted it's first two episodes and well there certainly something alright and so join me as I give you my first impressions that is most certainly here with the show in question being called simply just "Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies" enjoy.

Now I would normally put what the plot of the show is or in this case the plot of the first two episodes here. However this show has done my a huge favor by not giving either episode a plot which is this shows first huge mistake since by robbing this show of a plot it robs it of it's reason to exist which is a shame because a prequel to what is undeniably the most popular film musical of all time could have some interesting plotlines in it and yet this show just doesn't do any of that at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this shows first twp episodes are Marisa Davila as Jane Facciano and Cheyenne Isabel Wells as Olivia Valdovinos. Also starring in these first two episodes are Ari Notartomaso as Cynthia Zdunowski , Tricia Fukuhara as Nancy Nakagawa , Shanel Bailey as Hazel , Madison Thompson as Susan , Johnathan Nieves as Richie Valdovinos , Jason Schmidt as Buddy , Maxwell Whittington-Cooper as Wally and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery star Jackie Hoffman as Asst. Principal McGee.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes was in all honesty really bad with all of this shows cast members turning in some really bland and boring performances which is me being very kind because alot of this shows cast members aren't that well known actors and actresses.

I'm just going to be real here none of this shows cast are likable but at the same not there not unlikable either. Instead there just there and that's really it and that's to be expected for the first half of the first episode but when it's same thing for the first two episodes then you have a blatant issue at the most basic level and that is something that should have been fixed while this series was in production and the fact that it wasn't just goes to show that nobody involved with making this show cares all that much about the Grease IP.

This is meant to be a prequel to Grease with this show being set four years before the events of the film and stage production of the exact same name. With that being said this show doesn't work as a prequel either as alot of the films main characters would have been in high school when this show is taking place and thus would have been in the exact same groups that we see them in and the fact that the makers of this show didn't think about this at all just hits home that they don't care about the Grease IP heck I don't even like Grease and I still put in some effort to make sure that what I was saying was factually correct.

I've never been a fan of Grease at all I havn't seen the movie all the way through i've only seen the movie in bit and pieces but even I can tell that this is nothing more then a soulless adaptation. Which is a shame because the idea of telling the origin story behind this girl gang is a good idea and it could make for a good TV series all it would need is the right creative team in order to pull it of and to it justice which is very sadly is what this show is missing since the creative team behind this show just aren't that interested in making a good show.

This show is of course a musical and it has songs that are written by this shows composer Justin Tranter , Brittany Campbell , Eren Cannata and Daniel Crean. I will admit that the songs are where this show seems to shine best since it's musical numbers in the first two episodes at least are the most entertaining parts of both episodes and while alot of the songs have a awful lot of really obvious auto tune in them the numbers themselves are really fun and the best song for me is this shows version of "Grease Is The Word" since it is a really fun number.

Now then episode one of this shows has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly fifty nine minuets and fifty three seconds while episode two has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly fifty minuets and forty four seconds. With episode two having the better running time since there was no way in heck that this show should have episodes that are anywhere near to being one hour long since all we are doing is watching these boring characters just go about their day to day lives and that's it and to stretch that out to one hour per episode is going to make both the episode and your series as a whole boring to watch.

So now then since this a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes was in all honesty not that bad. While these first two episodes do have alot of painfully unfunny moments in them when they do tell a good joke you really do notice it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this show is one that's to be avoided by both Grease fans and none Grease fans alike since all it is is a soulless adaptation and as well as being waste of a really good idea in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in these first two episodes in this very post and since this is only my first impressions I won't be giving this show a rating however if i'm still watching this show when this shows final episodes airs or is released then i'll give this a show review and a rating as well but so far it's not of to very good start at all.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very post well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of images that I personally used in this very post from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very post being Google Images since all of the images that are currently up and and featured / presented to us on the great freaking Google Images are all fairly freaking high in freaking quality and as well as being very fairly freaking high in definition.
