Scooby-Doo fans it is so rare that something like this happens but at somepoint during Saturday night the entirety of the next Scooby-Doo direct to DVD animated film leaked online. As such for the first and only time that I can think off i'm making this review a SPOILER FREE one as the film hasn't even been announced yet and so then join me as I give you all my SPOILER FREE review the film sees two famous dogs team up with the film in question being called simply just "Scooby-Doo And Krypto Too" enjoy.
The plot of this film is after the Justice League mysteriously disappears it's up to the mystery inc gang to find out what happened to them before all of their villains destroy Metropolis. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot being genuinely quite entertaining and engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is voice acting and Scooby-Doo legend Frank Welker as Scooby-Doo and Fred Jones and Grey Griffin as Daphne Blake and Wonder Woman. Also starring in this film is Matthew Lillard as Shaggy Rogers , Kate Micucci as Velma Dinkley , PJ Byrne as J.B. , Victoria Grace as Mercy , Charles Halford as Lex Luthor , Nolan North as Computer , Clark Kent / Kal-El / Superman and The Joker , Tara Strong as Harley Quinn , Helen and Lois Lane , Fred Tatasciore as Solomon Grundy and Perry White , James Arnold Taylor as Jimmy Olson and Rex Ruthor and Nicole Thurman as Mayor Fleming.
Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which shouldn't come as a surprise at all as this films cast is mostly made up of voice acting legends and so then of course they are all going to turn in some really good performances in this film even more so when you take into account that alot of these actors have been voice their respective characters for decades now at this point.
Doing the animation fr this film is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Digital Emation. Inc.. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good and was a lot better then what I thought that it was going to be with all of the characters having some really nice fluid movements to them but at the same time alot of the backgrounds do look the exact same tho.
For some strange reason the character of Krypto has been getting a lot of love in recent years with the character of course being the main character in DC's League Of Superpets and now this film. Which us weird because prior to either of these movies the only time that the character was in a main role outside of the comics was in the 2005 animated TV show Krypto The Superdog which even then wasn't that popular of a show and so to see him suddenly get all of this love and attention from both Warner Bros Pictures and DC just seems weird to me since they've never really given much love before the release of either f these two movies.
To say that this movie came as a surprise to anyone would be like saying it's bad that they cancelled the already completed Scooby: Holiday Haunt. Since this movie was leaked before it was even officially announced so there's not even an IMDB page for this movie yet which does make me wonder who in the heck leaked this movie because this isn't just like your leaking a short scene or a piece of promotional material this is he whole entire movie which means that someone at i'm guessing Warner Bros Pictures is about to get fired because they messed up big time.
Without giving away to much about the film this films mystery is really bad with main villain being exactly who you think it is just film reading which characters are in this film. Which I kind of hoping wasn't the case since it would make the movie super predictable and when it did turn out to be the case I just wasn't surprised since alot of the time these more modern Scooby-Doo direct to the DVD animated movies go for the obvious villain but at the same time by going for the obvious villain they rob you of the ability to work out who did it for yourself which was always apart of the fun for any piece of Scooby-Doo media.
Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and eighteen minuets. Which is pretty much the bog standard running time for these more modern direct to DVD animated Scooby-Doo movies ad it is something that really does work well enough for this film since the mystery is super easy to work out and so all your doing is spending the time watching the characters catch up to what you already know which thankfully comes along rather quickly thanks to this films really good pacing.
So now then since this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this film shockingly having alot of really good jokes in it but the recurring joke with Lex Luthor does get a little tiresome and is one of the films worst jokes in the whole entire film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall this was a really good film and it;s one that when this film does eventually get released I can see alot of Scooby-Doo fans liking it but I can also of comic book fans not liking all that much in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that in this very film in this very review ad as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score a 6.5 out of 10 from me.
