Doctor Who: Asylum Of The Daleks Review

Doctor Who fans since this weekend was a very big weekend for the Doctor Who fandom I thought that i'd take a look at an episode that also technically introduces a new companion. This is an episode that i've been thinking on and off about review for a couple of weeks now and well then since we of course got the big news about who's playing the next companion from 2023 onwards now seems like the right tie to cover this episode and so then join me as I review the episode that does technically introduce us to a brand new companion with the episode in question being called simply just "Asylum Of The Daleks" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is The Doctor , Amy and Rory are sent to planet filled with insane Daleks so they can enable the planet to be destroyed by none other then the Daleks themselves. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good with the idea of the Daleks needing the help of The Doctor and his friends being a genuinely good idea in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Matt Smith as The Doctor , Guardians Of The Galaxy star Karen Gillan as Amy Pond and Arthur Darvill as Rory Williams. Also starring in this episode is future companion Jenna-Louise Coleman as Oswin Oswald , Anamaria Marinca as Darla Von Karlsen , David Gyasi as Harvey , Naomi Ryan as Cassandra and of course we have the great Nicholas Briggs as The Voice Of The Daleks.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With all of this episodes turning in some really good performances and making this episodes script work well enough for them for them in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the CGI for this episode is of course regular Doctor Who effects company The Mill and Real SFX. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good for the most part altho with that being said there are some dodgy looking CGI effects in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

As stated this episode does technically introduce The Doctor's next companion as we'd go on to find out that Clara spread herself all throughout The Doctor's timeline. With Oswin Oswald being one of those splinters and I have to say that even tho her death does play a larger part in this seasons storyline I would have liked it if we got to see more of this version of Clara Oswald since I really did like Oswin simply of the fact she had a fire to her that made her seem spontaneous in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

The only thing that I didn't like about this episode is the fact that they don't really do much with the reveal of Oswin actually being a Dalek. Since that is such a good and incredibly dark idea and yet this episode doesn't do all that much with that idea since while we do get to see her struggle with this realisation we don't get to see why she's like that and we don't get to see what she could actually do as a dalek which is a shame because like I said the idea itself is both tragic and incredibly dark but this episode just doesn't do that much with really cool idea this idea in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Another idea that this episode doesn't go all the way through with is it's central idea of having a planet full to the brim with insane Daleks. Since it would have been super cool and super creepy to see alot pf these insane Daleks roaming the hallways and stalking and trying to kill our heroes but all we get is a few short scenes with these insane Daleks which for an idea that's this cool and this awesome sadly isn't good enough in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this episodes running time even was I do know that for a fact that this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly forty eight minuets. Which is such a short running time for this episode simply because of the fact that you could have stretched this storyline to well over an hour in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since there is alot of action in this episode that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. Since we get to see just what these insane Daleks can do in this episodes action scenes and we also get to see what Rory can do as well which is always really such a fun little thing to see in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a great episode to kick start the show's seventh series and it's one that I loved not only back when it first aired but also still like to this very day because it is such a fun episode to watch in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that really means that this very episode erns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very from IMP Awards . Com , the official Doctor Who fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very review being the official Doctor Who fandom wiki page since all of the images that are currently up and and featured / presented to us on freaking the official Doctor Who fandom wiki page are all fairly freaking high in freaking quality and as well as being really very fairly freaking high in definition.
