Worzel Gummidge "A Fair Old Pullover" Review

Fans of classic TV I don't think that I can make it clear at this point but I really do love the classic Jon Pertwee version of Worzel Gummidge. So much so that i've written countless reviews on it and trust me I plan on doing the entire rest of the series and the sequel series if I can find more then the first episode and I think i've found one of the most pure fun episodes of the whole entire show and so then join me as I review that episode that is just pure fun to watch with the episode in question being called simply just "A Fair Old Pullover" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is Worzel goes to town on the roof of the Braithwaite's car and gets stuck as a store dummy for a posh clothing shop. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty rather fun with this episodes plot also being really simply and was also very easy to follow as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Doctor Who star Jon Pertwee as Worzel Gummidge , Jeremy Austin as John Peters and Charlotte Coleman as Sue Peters. Also starring in this episode is Geoffrey Bayldon as The Crowman , Mike Berry as Mr. Peters , Norman Bird as Mr. Braithwaite , Denis Gilmore as Harry , Megs Jenkins as Mrs. Braithwaite , Norman Mitchell as P.C. Parsons , Jeremy Pearce as The Car Park Attendant , Damon Sanders as Mr. Mooney , Anthony Sharp as Mr. Stanley and Last Of The Summer Wine star Sarah Thomas as Enid Simmons.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. Which given this show isn't all that surprising as even in this shows bad episodes there have always been some really good acting in them and that is something that is true with this very episode as well.

This show does add some new and fun locations to the world of Worzel Gummidge and while the episode does take full advantage of one of them it doesn't take advantage of the other. Which is a shame because the idea of seeing Worzel Gummidge run around a small town just causing trouble and mayhem does lend itself to plenty of comedic moments but the episode just does nothing with that setting and while the idea of Worzel Gummidge in a posh cloths store also gives us plenty of funny moments it would have been nice to see Worzel running around the town as well.

The one word that I can use to describe this episode is fun because that's exactly what this episode is it;s fun. Just everything about this episode is pure fun from the way that Worzel get's into town to seeing what he does just trying to get some clothing on is pure fun to watch and it's something that made this episode a must watch for me because I had such a good time watching it and I get the feeling that those involved with making it had a good time making it because that's something that really does shine through in the final product.

In a rather rare move this episode also sees the characters of Jon and Sue join Worzel in this new location adventure. This was something that I wasn't expecting since usually when the cast go to a new filming location they usually find away to write the kids out of the episode usually due to child labor laws and as such seeing them play a slightly major role in this episode was genuinely surprising it's just a shame that once the kids get to town there not really given all that much to do other then watch Worzel while he's in a sulk.

I was also shocked to see that they made The Crowman a little bit more playful then he's been written as being in the previous episodes. Which was something that I did enjoy as it made his scenes very enjoyable to watch and just seeing him going around messing with everybody was just pure fun to see but at the same time it does against with how the character was written in the previous episodes since in the previous episodes he was written more like a strict parent to Worzel and yet in this episode he's acting and written more like a naughty school boy and not like a parental figure to Worzel Gummidge at all.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely live of me remember whatever this episodes running time even was I do know that for a fact that this episode has / had an exact grad total running time of roughly twenty six minuets. Which is the perfect running time for this episode since this episode doesn't really have alot their interms of plot and story and plus with this episodes running time it allows the episode to be more faster paced which only adds to the fun of the episode as it gives the episode this sense of energy that the other episodes just don't have.

So now then since this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With all of this episodes jokes getting a big laugh out of me heck even the ending where Worzel gets falls to pieces when the car goes under a low bridge was still a funny scene and the scene where the two employees question if they've been drinking after seeing Worzel going into a sulk right infront of them was just pure funny as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was such a fun episode to watch and is quite easily up there with some of the best episodes of this show because that's just how fun this episode well and truly is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode earns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Amazon . Co . Uk , Wikipedia and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very review being the wonderful Google Images since all of the images that are currently up and and featured / presented to us on Google Images are all fairly high in quality and as well as being really fairly freaking high in definition.
