X-Men: The Animated Series "Enter Magneto" AND "Deadly Reunions" Review

Marvel fans it's been about three months since i've last spoken about anything to do with the X-Men characters and it's been about ten months since i've last spoken about anything to do with the pure greatness that is the X-Men: The Animated Series. As such I thought that i'd rectify this by taking a look at a couple of episodes from the show and so join me as I review two episodes from the X-Men: The Animated Series with the episodes in question being called simply "Enter Magneto" and "Deadly Reunions" respectively and so enjoy the review everyone.

The plot of these two episodes is Magneto is getting ready to wage a war against the humans and it's up to members of the X-Men to stop him before he starts a full scale with the entire human race. In terms of what I thought the plot of these two episodes in all honesty the plot to these two episodes was rather weak which is a shame because the X-Men: The Animated Series is known for having strong episodes with strong plotlines and as such it's kind of disheartening to see a pair of episodes have a fairly weak plot but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my honest opinion anyways.

Starring in these two episodes are Cedric Smith as Professor Charles Xavier / Professor X and Norm Spencer as Scott Summers / Cyclops. Also starring in these two episodes are Cal Dodd as Logan / Wolverine , Iona Morris as Ororo Munroe / Storm , George Buza as Hank McCoy / Beast , Alyson Court as Jubilation Lee / Jubilee , Don Francks as Graydon Creed, Sr. / Sabretooth , David Hemblin as Eric Magnus / Magneto , Stephen Ouimette as Hodge , Len Carlson as Robert Kelly and Lenore Zann as Rogue.

In terms of what I thought about the acting that's featured / presented to us in these two episodes in all honesty the acting that's featured / presented to us in these two episodes is in my opinion really good and I say that the acting that's featured / presented to us in these two episodes is in my opinion really good simply due to the fact that's it's something that I strongly believe to be the case. Simply because the acting in this show is for the most part at least very good and the same is true for these two episodes and what helps the acting in my opinion is the fact that the scripts for these two episodes are so freaking good that all the actors would have to do when  recording for these two episodes is just say the lines as they're written and boom a good performance would come out alot naturally in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways.

Doing the animation for not only these two episodes but for this entire show as a whole is Akom Production Company and in terms of what I thought about the animation that's featured / presented to us in these two episodes. In all honesty I thought that the animation that's featured / presented to us in these two episodes wasn't that bad since there are a few shots in these two episodes that even by today's standards with the technology today would still be hard to pull as such you can only imagine how hard those shots would have been hard to pull of back in the very early nineties and yet the animation in those shots in the episode as a whole really does stand out due to how good the animation in those shots are and the animation in these two episodes as whole holds up really does hold up really freaking well but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my very humble opinion anyways.

Now then boys and girls these two episodes are the first set of episodes to feature the X-Mens arch nemesis Magneto who here has the human name of Eric Magnus. I honestly had no idea that these two episodes was were the X-Men: The Animated Series chose to introduce Magneto just simply because he's always been the big bad for the X-Men and as such i've always assumed that he appeared in either episodes one that he appeared in episode two of this show and i will admit that I really did like how they used the character in these two episodes since they show him thinking about his next step and very carefully choosing where to attack next which makes the character seem like someone who is a strategist but that's just in my humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways.

I will admit that I don't really like the idea that they changed Magneto's real name to Eric Magnus since it really does hit the magnet theme really on the nose. If anything the makers of this show should have kept his name to simply Max Eisenhardt or even Erik Lehnsherr just simply because those two names sound alot better and those two names aren't as on the nose as Eric Magnus well and truly is but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my honest opinion anyways.

Now this is something that I honestly didn't know about the X-Men: The Animated Series version of Ororo Munroe / Storm and that's the fact that this version of Ororo Munroe / Storm is infact claustrophobic. Just this one little change makes this version of the character seem a lot more interesting because it means that you can now possibly beat her which means that every time that she goes into battle there's a very good chance that she might not walk out of that battle alive but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways.

Now then boys and girls these two episodes have a total combined running time of forty two minuets and twenty five seconds and if i'm being these episodes didn't need to be a two part episode. Since you very well could have told this story in one episode and you could have had the whole plot line with Sabretooth and Wolverine last this entire first season of the show which of then have made the fact that Sabretooth is actually working for Magneto have alot more impact but I will admit that these two episodes do have some really good pacing in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinions anyways.

Now then boys and girls this is an action show after all and there is some to possibly even alot of action in these two episodes. Which means that I have to talk about the action that's featured / presented to us in these two episodes and if i'm being honest the action that's presented to us in these two episodes is really cool and I say that the action that's presented to us in these two episodes is really cool since you get to see alot of the X-Men not only use there gifts but you also get to see them struggle against an enemy who could beat all of the X-Men without even lifting a finger and that makes the action sequences in these two episodes alot more thrilling and as well as alot more dramatic since the X-Men could very well loose against Magneto but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my honest opinions anyways.

Overall these two episodes were honestly really good but at the same time I don't think that these two episodes are amongst this shows / series best episodes in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways. Now then boys and girls i've talked about both of the good things in this episodes and well as both of the bad things that are in this particular episode in this very review and as such these two episodes get a combined score of a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

As for where I got all of the images that I used in this review well I got all of the images that I used in this very review from the official Marvel Animated Universe fandom wiki page. Since I only went to the official Marvel Animated Universe fandom wiki page and nowhere else for the images that I used in this very review I have no choice but to recommend that you guys use the official Marvel Animated Universe fandom wiki page just due to not only how many images there are of both of these episodes but also due to hw quality and how high definition the images that are on / featured on the official Marvel Animated Universe fandom wiki page but thats just what I think and that's just in my humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways.
