Lego DC Super Hero Girls: Super-Villain High Review

If your a fan of DC Super Hero Girls then welcome because i've just seen the new movie and boy do I have things to say so here is my review of the new movie called Lego DC Super Hero Girls: Super-Villain High so let's go super heroes in training.

The plot of the movie is Lena Luthor opens up a school and gets her students to steal things and it's up to Wonder Woman , Batgirl , Supergirl and Jessica Cruz to save the day. I have to be honest the plot of this movie was really well told and it was very easy to follow what really got me was how dumb the students who left Superhero High were.

The cast for this film includes Grey Griffin as Wonder Woman , Tara Strong as Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy , Anais Fairweather as Supergirl , Cristina Milizia as Jessica Cruz , Stephanie Sheh as Katana , Ashlyn Selich as Batgirl , Yvette Nicole Brown as Amanda Waller Cheetah is in the movie but since they habit of switching her voice actor out with the films I can't say who's playung her but odds are its Ashley Eckstein and we also have Romi Dames as Lena Luthor.

The voice cast are pretty good in this movie there's nothing I can really say since this is basically a freaking advert for the Lego sets but for a 78 minuet advert the acting is pretty good which is to be expecting considering some of the actors are legends and I really liked Cristina as Jessica.

This is the second Lego film based on the DC Super Hero Girls franchise and the fourth film overall but it won't be the last one because DC Super Hero Girls: Legends of Atlantis is due out sometime this year so I hope you like these films because they are here to freaking stay and if you don't like the franchise then your pretty much screwed.

This film was animated by Warner Bros. Animation and as you can now doubt see was done with help from The Lego Group and I have to say the animation in this film was fairly decent I say that because while the animation for the most part was pretty good their was the odd time where the lips didn't sync up that well.

This movie is seventy eight minuets long and while that is a decent length of time for an animated feature it didn't help the third act where out of know where alot of the plot lines get resolved if this movie was ninety minuets then it wouldn't be as jarring but since it's seventy eight minuets long it had to get rushed.

In my review of the web series I made a comment that some of the students in Super Hero High are villains and weren't acting like the villains they are but that rectified in this movie where the villainess students actually get to act like villains thank the gods because it allows kids to see the true versions of these characters.

Since it's a kids movie however the villainess characters don't act like villains for long and I really wish I could say what turns them "good" again but i;m sure you've already worked out what it is by now so I won't bother but it did bother me for a couple minuets and then I just said screw (less politely) just because I was hoping this film would actually make the villainess characters actual villains.

This is a kids movie and there's nothing really harmful in this movie you can show little kids this movie and they'll like it just fine and it's also based on a franchise that's designed to get girls into comics so you could show it to little girls as well but that also leads me to another issue I had with the movie since the movie was written by a guy alot of the girls mainly talk about how bad their hair looks and if your trying to get girls into comics it would feel like a step back when you then have one of the main characters comment on how bad their hair looks.

As you can work out there is some action in this movie since this is a DC Comics film and I have to say that the action was really well handled you get to see all the heroes with powers use them in battle which does make the scenes look more creative.

Overall if your a fan of this franchise or have little kids then chances are your going to be getting this movie anyway and chances are your going to like it I saw this movie Digitally but you can get the DVD and Blu-Ray on May 15th the movie gets a 5.5 out of 10 from me.
