Mystery Science Theater 3000 "The Batwoman" Review

If there is one little show that just keeps of going it's quite easily Mystery Science Theater 300 as the show has been cancelled so many times by so many different companies. Heck i'm willing to bet alot of you didn't even know that the show has finished airing it's thirteenth season this time airing on it's streaming service and so then join me as I review the episode that features a new host with the episode in question being called simply just "The Batwoman" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is host Emily finds out she is two percent robot all the while Kinga goes on vocation with her grandmother. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with this episodes plot being thin but enjoyable at the exact same time in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Emily Marsh as Emily Connor , Kelsey Ann Brady as The Voice Of Crow and Conor McGiffin as The Voice Of Tom Servo. Also starring in this episode is Yvonne Freese as The Voice Of GPC 2 / Mega-Synthia Forrester , Mary Jo Pehl as Pearl Forrester , Felicia Day as Kinga Forrester , Patton Oswalt as Max , this franchises creator Joel Hodgson as Ardy and Ivan Askwish as Bonesy.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. With this episodes cast turning in some pretty decent performances which was really what I expected as this show isn't really known for having good or even great acting in it.

The film that's being featured in this episode is the 1968 Mexican rip off film The Batwoman which as the title would suggest is a rip of off Batman. The film itself just looks so laughably bad and it's such an obvious rip off of Batman that it makes me wonder why DC Comics and Warner Bros Pictures didn't get in touch with the original film makers to tell them to stop what there doing because it's laughable at just how much it's an obvious Batman ripoff but at the same time tho I do wish more people knew about this film as it does look at the very least laughably bad like a movie that's so bad that it becomes good again.

While this episode isn't the first episode to feature the Emily character as a host for the show it is I think the first one of hers that i've seen. I have to admit that I really did like her as she does seem like a very fun and funny person and she does seem like a good fit for this show as she makes alot of painfully jokes in this episode but I will admit that bringing in a new host when they have the Mike character right there just seems pointless to me as they could have brought Mike back to get some more of the old school fans that aren't on board with this new batch episodes and will get them on board with this new batch of episodes.

When this recent batch of episodes first started it was getting alot of hate for it's CGI and it's CGI heavy intro and yeah I can kinda see why. As the effects just aren't that good even for this show which was known for having really cheap looking practical effects the fact that this batch of episodes has just really flat and boring looking CGI just doesn't do the show any kind of favors and I get that this show is funded by the fans but that is still not an excuse for bad looking CGI as there are effects heavy shorts on Youtube that were done for free that have better looking effects then the ones that we got in this new batch of episodes.

What I didn't like about this episode is the fact that alot of the evil characters don't get alot of screen time in this episode. Which is weird because the episodes pre-title scene promises that we'll get to see alot of more of them in this episode but barring two or three host segments we don't really get to see alot of them in this episode which given how this episodes ends really shouldn't have been the case as the episodes ends in a way that hints that there was a lot more going on with them in this episode which would have been really fun and funny to actually see in the actual episode itself.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty four minuets and nine seconds. Which for this show is pretty much the bog standerd running time and to this episodes credit it really cram alot in in that amount of running time with the episode really just flying right on by I just wish that the episode was a tad bit longer just because the host segments in this episode were so fun to see that I wanted to see more of them and this episode is also really helped by the fact that it has some really good pacing to it as well.

So now then since this is a comedy show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With the jokes that this episode makes about the The Batwoman movie being really funny with the same thing also being true for this episodes host segments as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this wasn't that bad of episode it's just that it wasn't that good of an episode but for a season who's intro really got slammed by the fans and the fact that this season was self financed they did the best they could with what little money they had in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com , the official Mystery Science Theater 3000 fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very review being the every so truly wonderful Google Images and since that all of the images that are currently up and and on Google Images are all fairly high in quality and as well as being really fairly freaking high in definition.
