Looney Tunes "Birds Anonymous" Review

Looney Tunes fans it's been a good few months since I last spoke about anything that's to do with the Looney tunes brand if characters and well i thought that that should come to an end right here and right now. As such I have chosen right another classic Looney Tunes cartoon to review for you all today and so join me as I review a pretty freaking dark as all heck Looney Tunes cartoon with the cartoon in question being called simply just "Birds Anonymous" enjoy.

The plot of this cartoon is Sylvester joins a group that is dead set against the eating of birds and it's not long after that Sylvester himself starts to get even more tempted into eating poor old Tweety Pie. Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot of this cartoon in all honesty I in all honesty thought / felt that the actual plot of this cartoon was rather simple and was rather straight forward and was very freaking easy to follow all of which are things that you would want to see in a plot from a classic Looney tunes cartoon in my opinion anyways / at least.

Starring in this cartoon is of course the late and the most certainly great Mel Blanc as Sylvester , Tweety Pie and possible as Clarence Cat. Now then I say that Mel Blanc is most possibly playing the role of Clarence Cat since there is no voice actor listing for the character anywhere online / on the internet but given that at this point in Looney Tunes history Mel Blanc was voicing pretty much all of the male Looney Tunes characters it's also a safe freaking bet to assume that he also voiced the character of Clarence Cat as well in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the acting that's featured / presented to us in this very film in all honesty I in all honesty thought / felt that the acting that's featured / presented to us in this very film really freaking good. This is something which shouldn't come as a surprise to absolutely anybody since Mel Blanc is the best actor ever and so it only makes sense that he would infact turn in some really good performances in this very cartoon in my freaking opinion anyways / at least.

Doing the animation for this cartoon is Gerry Chiniquy , Art Davis and Virgil Ross all under the direction of the late and great Friz Freleng. Now then in terms of what I personally thought / feel about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film in all honesty I in all honesty thought / feel about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very cartoon in all honesty I in all honesty thought / feel that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to / presented to us in this very cartoon was really freaking good but at the same I did some animation errors like the fact that they forgot to animate Tweety Pie's mouth moving when he's actually speaking in the third and final act of this film but those animation are very few and very far between and that they don't bring down the overall quality of the animation in my freaking opinion anyways / at least.

Now then this very cartoon is actually a pretty freaking dark cartoon since the whole thing with Sylvester experiencing withdrawal symptoms is pretty close to what somebody who has been on d*ugs experiences when they go cold turkey and heck even the name Birds Anonymous is a play on group name Alcoholics Anonymous. This cartoon proves that you don't need to have bloods and guts to be dark and brooding when all you need is very subtle references to a much more mature theme and it would work really freaking and would be just as dark and just as brooding in my opinion anyways / at least.

Adding to this dark theme is the fact that we get to see how easy it is for someone to fall of the metaphorical wagon. Which is something that is sadly all to common with drinkers and other such people and even tho it's something that is mainly played for laughs I still thought that it was something that was rather interesting in the context of this cartoon since it was something that the makers of this cartoon really didn't have to put in / include in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then even tho that i've said alot of very freaking positive things about this very cartoon there are some things that are in this very cartoon that I just simply didn't like. Like for example Sylvester slips back into his old habits way to quickly and way easily since it would have been way more funnier to see him get pushed back into his old habits and the other thing that I really didn't like about this cartoon is the fact that Sylvester trusts Clarence Cat way to easily which given this cartoons very short freaking running time is kind of understandable but it's still an issue with this cartoon none the less in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then this cartoon has / had an exact running time of exactly six minuets and fifty six seconds so let's round that up to seven minuets shall we and yeah this cartoon had a really short running time and that does kind of have a knock on effect on this cartoon and not in a good way either. Since plot points that should come alot more naturally now come at us a rather fast paced and just feel unearned but at the same time you could also argue that that's a fault with all of the Looney Tunes and not just this one tho in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then since this cartoon is a Looney Tunes cartoon after all that means that there is some form of comedy in this cartoon and that means that I have to actually talk about the actual jokes that are actually featured / presented to us in this very cartoon and well in all honesty I in all honesty thought / feel that the actual jokes that are actually featured / presented to us in this very cartoon are perhaps the weakest aspect of this very cartoon. This is since alot of the jokes that are featured / presented to us in this very cartoon just weren't that funny to me personally which is a shame because the set up and the premise of this cartoon does indeed allow for some good and possibly even clever jokes in my opinion anyways / at least.

Overall this cartoon was actually a really good cartoon to watch and it's one that I would very highly recommend Looney Tunes fans and just people in general to watch because this cartoon is that good however that doesn't make this a perfect cartoon because cannot be any freaking further from the truth. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are featured / presented to us in this very cartoon in this very review and that means that this very cartoon earn it's self a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Wikipedia , the official Looney Tunes fandom wiki page and lastly from Google Images. honestly have no idea which website would be the best to use in terms of images from these shorts since the quality of the images is pretty much the exact same  across all three websites and so I say use whichever website you want that and there's really only one way to end this review T-T-T-T-THAT'S ALL FOLKS.
