Johnny Bravo TV Series "Johnny Bravo" , "Jungle Boy In Mr Monkeyman" and "Johnny Bravo And The Amazon Women" Review

Cartoon Network in the nineties was a truly wonderful place to be with pretty much all of there shows fro that time period being really good shows. However with all of that success does mean that a few shows will get forgotten about as is the case with the show that i'm going to be talking about today as this is a show that really isn't talked about all that often not often by those who were around when it first airing either and so then join me as I review the episodes that technically aired as part of another cartoon show first with the episodes in question being called simply just "Johnny Bravo" , "Jungle Boy In Mr Monkeyman" and "Johnny Bravo And The Amazon Women" enjoy.

The plots of the episodes are in Johnny Bravo Johnny tries to recapture a nine hundred pound gorilla and in Jungle Boy In Mr Monkeyman King Raymond becomes jealous of Jungle Boy and sets out to ruin his reputation once and for all and in Johnny Bravo And The Amazon Women Johnny finds him on island full to the brim with beautiful Amazon Women and does everything that he can do to get near them. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plots that;s are actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plots that are actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad as all three of episodes plots were really strong plots with the weakest episode plot wise by Jungle Boy In Mr Monkeyman just because of the fact that alot of that episode is spent with nothing going on to advance the plot of the episode where as with the other two segments there was always something going on that was advancing the plots of the segments with the plots also also being really rather rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in these episodes is Jeff Bennett as Johnny Bravo and Man 3 , Soleil Moon Frye as Mary and Maurice LaMarche as The Fat Robber and The Narrator , Roger Rose as The Gorilla  Scott , Butch , Christopher and Louis , Mae Whitman as The Little Girl , Cody Dorkin as JungleBoy , Michael McKean as King Raymond , Rupert and Rhino , Candi Milo as Mary Antelope , Effie and Jill , April Winchell as Donna , Kris and Liz , Brenda Vaccar as Melissa , Pat Musick as Grandma , B.J. Ward as Cindy and An Amazon and David L. Lander as Christopher.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that;s actually featured / presented to us in these episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in thee very episodes was in all honesty really good. Which is something that really does make alot of sense given that pretty much all of the actors that are in these episodes are a bunch of really are a bunch of really good actors and a bunch of really good voice actors in there own right with all of them really delivering some really good and some really funny performances in all three of these episodes with the acting that's in these very episodes really being helped by the fact that the scripts for this episodes are juts so good that all this episodes cast have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performances will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in these episodes episodes.

Doing the animation for these episodes is Hanna-Barbera Productions , Fil-Cartoons , Mr. Big Cartoons , Sunwoo Entertainment and Wang Film Productions Company. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty person ally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in these vert episodes was in all honesty not that bad and was a lot better then what it really had any right to be but at the same time tho the animation that's in all three of these segments wasn't really all that good either as the backgrounds don't look that good in Johnny Bravo And The Amazon women this is despite them looking really good in Johnny Bravo and the animation and backgrounds in Jungle Boy And Mr Monkeyman while it wasn't really the best was certainly alot better then what it could have been with the backgrounds in that segment just looking really bland and really boring with the same thing also being true for Johnny Bravo And The Amazon Women as well with all of the characters having some really nice and fluid movements to them in all three of this episodes segments with the animation really shining through when it comes to all three segments comedy.

What alot of people might have forgotten about or just straight up don't know is that even these segments are indeed the first three segments in Johnny Bravo they weren't originally produced as apart of the series. As all three of them were instead produced as apart of the show What A Cartoon which showed new cartoons in every segment with the more popular ones becoming there own TV shows with prime examples of this being Cow And Chicken , Dexter's Laboratory , Courage The Cowardly Dog and The Powerpuff Girls with this show also being one and a few years after this show had been picked up and started airing int's first season these segments were then added into the mix to form the shows first episode this was done tho after the show official first episode had already aired thus meaning that all of the episodes get moved down one order from what they originally were and given that alot of the other shows that came of from What A Cartoon also included there original What A Cartoon shorts as part of other segments it does make sense that this show would combine there episodes to make up the first Johnny Bravo episode as even tho none of them feature the regular supporting cast of characters they do give us the audience a good idea of just what the show will be like in future episodes in the show moving forward.

To be frank this show would not be made simply due to the fact that Johnny Bravo himself does in the first segment force himself onto a woman and in the other segments of not only this episode but the show as a whole spends alot of time trying to get with various women. While yes he does get turned down in more often then not very violent and always hilarious ways you can just picture somebody somewhere getting offended by this cartoon without realising the fact that he's getting turned down is apart of the joke and is the shows way of saying that's he's in the wrong and that how he treats women in the grand scheme of things is also wrong as they'll just take this show at face value and that's really it and yet they'll find the Jungle Boy segment which is the weakest of the three segments to be the most enjoyable for no reason whatsoever this is despite the fact that the Jungle Boy segment has very little redeeming qualities about it as that character is one joke character where as with Johnny Bravo you can get a good few jokes just out of how dumb he is alone with the fact that he can't get a single woman to go out with him being as aspect of his character as all those people who are easily offended will be focused on is the fact that he kissed a woman without her consent despite the fact that she beats him up for it directly afterwards.

Speaking of the Jungle Boy segment there was one redeeming factor about that segment and thats the fact that King Raymond is the segments most entertaining character. As he's a villain who just wants his subjects to obey him and to love only him thus giving him a bit of an ego and yet everybody around him either hates him or just straight up ignores him which does lead to some very entertaining scenes as he sets out to ruin Jungle Boy's reputation by giving him a bad name all done with him going around dressed up as Jungle Boy which includes him shaving off all of his skin and wearing a wig all of which goes a long way to proving the fact that this character does have an ego and can;t handle the fact that nobody likes him heck even his own monkey butler really doesn't care for him all that much either and this is something that does make him an entertaining character as it gives him flaws and a reason for him being the way that he is and heck the whole segment would have been better if he was the main focus of it and if Jungle Boy was instead given more of a supporting role as Jungle Boy as a character really just isn't that interesting nor is he all that entertaining as a character as he's just the stereotypical good guy who just so happens to be a toddler and that's really all there is to his character where as there's alot kore to King Raymond as a character.

Now then the first segment has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly six minutes and fifty three seconds with the second segment having a grand total running time of exactly six minuets and thirty three seconds and the third segment has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly six minuets and twenty two seconds. With all three segments really having some rather solid running times as all three segments really do have the right amount of plot to really cover there respective running times with the the segment that has the best running time being Johnny Bravo And The Amazon Women just because of the fact that they do spend some time in setting up the amazon island and really making as good a use as they could have done with that running and while all three segments pack in a ton of jokes in there segments respective running times it's the first segment Johnny Bravo that takes as full advantage of it's running time as it could have done as that segment who Johnny is a character and still tell a really good story which it really does manage to given the short running time that the segment has but I will admit that all three segments really do have some really good pacing in them tho.

So now then as this is a comedy show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in these vert segments well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that;s actually featured / presented to us in these very segments was in all honesty really good. With all three of this episodes segments really having alot of really funny jokes in them and all three segments really packing in alot of jokes in there respective running times alot of which are quick little sight gags that chances are your not going to notice on a first viewing like the fact that in the Jungle Boy segment that make a reference to Everybody Love Reymond which was a quick little joke but it was still a really funny joke with the first and third segments having some really funny slapstick moments which really do show off just how funny this shows animation really could have been as the slapstick not only looks painful but it also looks really funny as well but even then there not the best joke of this whole entire episode as that honor goes to a joke in episode where in order to convince the zoo keeper to let him go after the gorilla Johnny tells her that he's a superhero with one of his powers being able to make a sandwich which was just such a funny joke and really did show off just how dim witted that this character really was in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while these episode both are and aren't the official start to Johnny Bravo they do give you a good idea of just how random that this show was and just how funny that this show was when it was at it's best and while it wouldn't get made there might be some people out there who love these segments as alot of them are just that good and are that funny as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in these segments in this very review and as such that means that Johnny Bravo earns itself a grad old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 , Jungle Boy In Mr Monkeyman earns it self a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 and Johnny Bravo And The Amazon Women earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 with all three segments earning themselves a combined grand total score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the mages that I personally used in this very review from the official Johnny Bravo fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from these very segments episodes that I used in this very review being the really great the official Johnny Bravo fandom wiki page simply just due to the fact that really alot of if not really all of the images that are all really from these very segments and are really of course on the official Johnny Bravo fandom wiki page are also really all fairly high in quality and really as well as them all being really fairly freaking high in definition.

Some Cartoon Opinions Of Mine

Opinions everyone has them and chances are my opinions aren't going to agree with yours and so I thought that instead of doing the very popular Unpopular opinions post. I thought that i'd do something a tad bit different and that's tell you some of the opinions that I have about various cartoons and to make things more different i'm not just limiting myself to cartoons shows either since i'll also be talking some opinions I have about animated movies.

Teen Titans Go! Is Actually Pretty Good

Yeah you guys read that right and it's true this show is in my opinion actually pretty good it can be at times be pretty funny with the plots well told. That said i'm not going to lie and say that it's a perfect show because that would be a dumb thing to say since for every funny joke that's in the show there will be a joke that's painfully unfunny but those are few and far between in my opinion and the show turned out a very entertaining movie with Teen Titans Go! To The Movies.

Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm Is The Best Batman Movie Ever Made

Now I know that there's going to be alot of Christopher Nolan fans getting ready to show alot of hate while declaring that The Dark Knight is the best film ever made in the history of ever. Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm is easily the best Batman movie ever made and yes i'm including all of the live action films when I say that and i'm saying that because this film is the only film that portrays Batman closest to his comic book counterpart think about it Batman is said to be the world's greatest detective and yet none of the movies have shown him trying to solve a crime well this film did and on top of that the mystery is really good.

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated Is Overrated

Look i'm not going to lie Mystery Incorporated is a solid show but it's not as good as people say that it is. I honestly feel that the show is overrated as hell Scooby-Doo was a show that was built on comedy it was never built on drama and long running storylines so why did this show think that it was good to downplay the comedy that the franchise was famous for and replace it with drama that no one was asking for yes there are times where the drama does work but we don't need it in every single episode.

Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! Is Better The Mystery Incorporated

Yes I know that this is going to make alot of people angry but I honestly feel that Be Cool Scooby-Doo is better then Mystery Incorporated. I'm not saying that it's better in every aspect but Be Cool knew that Scooby-Doo is a comedy and so that's where the focus is as well telling some really good mysteries and this show did something that Mystery Incorporated didn't do and that's give Daphne a personality gone was the personality less character of old and in her place was someone who actually a personality.

Infinity Train Is The Best Show Currently Airing On Cartoon Network

I din't say these were unpopular opinions but it's true if you look at all the shows that Cartoon Network is currently airing you have to admit that Infinity Train is the best one. I'm not just saying that as a fan i'm saying it as a fan of well written shows and that's what this show is it's well written in every single way the show knows when to mix in comedy and when it has to be dramatic and that's not something that alot of shows airing on the network do these days.

The Toy Story Franchise Is The Best Animated Franchise Out There

I know that there alot of people who love the Dragons franchise and while those are indeed decent films. They have nothing on the Toy Story films which barring the fourth film they are all perfect films all of the films are capable of getting you to cry be it due to a characters heartbreaking backstory , or due to a character that we've grown up with giving up his own toys or even due to two lovers meeting up again and that's something that the Dragons films just don't do.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Is Actually Good

I know that alot of people don't like various things about this show and while everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I have to say that in my opinion the show is actually really good it has great animation and story telling and while I won't deney that there are times that the show does lean of gender politics you cannot deny the fact that the show is indeed a good show and I hope that Netflix keep it on and give us more of a warning when new episodes are dropping.

Johnny Bravo Review

Cartoon fans we're taking a trip back to the nineties for this review and this was a show that alot of us myself included grew up with. I will say that after watching a bunch of episodes of this show i've come to the conclusion that this show wouldn't be made today and i'll go into the reasons why later and let us prey that none of us use the pick up tactics used in this show and so here we go with me review of the one and only the legend that is Johnny Bravo.

The premise of this show is Johnny Bravo is a simple man who just wants to get a girlfriend and the show follows his exploits as he tries to get a date with a girl. Yeah there really isn't a plot to the show outside of that premise and with a premise as strong as that you don't really need a plot. At the same time tho I would have been good if there was a small plot running through some of the episodes but at the same time if that was the case then this show wouldn't be the same.

Starring in the show was Jeff Bennett as Johnny Bravo , Brenda Vaccaro as Momma , Mae Whitman as Little Suzy , Tom Kenny as Carl and Larry Drake as Pops. In all honesty the acting isn't that bad at least for a nineties show Jeff really does kill it is the title character and in my opinion all of the characters are perfectly cast. I only wish that the actors were given alot more to work with but sadly there not.

Now every famous person had to get there start somewhere and well this show was the start for a pair of animation legends and they are Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane and Butch Hartman. It's honestly really weird to see where these two legends got there start but at the same time you can really see that they had a lot of talent and you can see that even back then they had a lot of potential.

Now i'll admit that I couldn't find who did the animation for this show but knowing that Hanna-Barbera worked on the show then chances are it was them. I could however be wrong so don't hold me to it in terms of what I thought about the animation tho it's honestly really good at least in terms of early Cartoon Network and for once there's no repeating backgrounds and the animation isn't cheap which is new for Hanna-Barbera.

Now I said at the start of the review that this show wouldn't be made today and to be honest all of that is due to the fact that Johnny can act a little bit sexist towards the females. I'll admit it's not much sexism it's only a little bit here and there but when you see it it makes you see the show in a whole new light and I have to admit when I saw the sexism present in the show it really shocked me because I never saw it as a kid.

This amazed me as a little kid but I loved the Johnny Bravo / Scooby-Doo crossover episode to me what made that episode standout was the fact that they poked alot of fun of the Scooby-Doo formula and even some of the rumours surrounding the characters. That to me made the episode so much funnier just due to all of the in jokes plus it hopes that it was a really good episode in it's own right as well as a good crossover episode.

This show started airing in 1997 and it lasted until 2004 but even with that long air time there was only four seasons of the show aired and that's because the show was put on hiatus and with no warning was picked up for a second season in 1999. It didn't stop there tho as the creator of the show Van Partible left production after the second season and for the rest of the show's run the production was overseen by Kirk Tingblad who retooled pretty much everything about the show from it's humour to it's tone and characters.

I'm not going to name what network this show aired on just because the show was so well known and still is well known that pretty much everyone knows which network this show was broadcast on. I will say that for airing on this network they got away with alot of stuff some of which i've already mentioned but on the lighter side of things they also included cameo's from really obscure HB characters like Speed Buggy shows up at one point for no reason.

One of the things that I think that this show became known for was it's use of slapstick humour and if you don't like that kind of humour then don't even bother watching this show because it's like the only joke in this show. That's not always a bad thing but it would have been nice if they mixed it up every once in a while but no they stuck to the same type of humour for alot of the episodes and if i'm being honest that made me crave some other kind of joke.

Overall this is a classic CN series and it's not hard to see why it has great humour for the first few episodes and it gets away with a lot more stuff then today's shows do/. That said however it's not a great show by any means and so it gets a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Debunking The Cartoons Are For Kids Myth

If your a cartoon you've at some point came across someone be it a friend or a family member or even a complete stranger use some combination of these words "cartoons aren't they just for little kids" or my personal favourite "it's ok it's just for kids". Now I was just going to talk about the first one but now that I think about it i'm going to take on both of these because honestly they can both be annoying at times so let's crack on with it shall we.

Cartoons first started as we know them first started in the 1920's and were shown before a movie these shorts would most likely be silent cartoons until the release of the classic Mickey Mouse short Steamboat Willie. Most of these shorts where mostly made for audiences of all ages since you'd also see cartoons featuring highly intense action as well as goofy comedy so it made sense to market them for all the family.

Now in my opinion this would all change in the 60's with the release of The Bugs Bunny Show this to me is the case because adults dont have the time to go and watch cartoons anymore but kids do and the fact that this was on TV meant that they could watch these classic shorts for nothing. This right here is in my opinion the debut of the whole cartoons is for kids mind set because parents suddenly realised that they could stick there kids in front of the TV for thirty minuets and get some piece and quite.

To me the whole mind set that i've just briefly explained the beginning of doesn't work these days and that's because everything surrounding cartoons has gotten much better. In the past you could get away with having lazy writing and lazy animation because we didn't know any better all we had in terms of TV animation was terrible parring the odd one or two great shows and in terms of movies again outside of one or two great one's we didn't have that much great ones.

If you want an example of a cartoon which is aimed at and made for little kids but has alot of adult humour then I highly recommend you check out Animaniacs in fact if you guys see anyone who still thinks cartoons is just for kids then show them this cartoon. I say that because there's alot of stuff in here which isn't for little kids (finger prince anyone) and yet still for some unknown reason parents still think that cartoons are just for little kids.

We all remember Saturday Morning Cartoons it was that one day a week where we got to see all of our favourite characters. While alot of those shows have stood the test of time and some could even be used in this argument alot of them really don't help the cause and that's not there fault because they were made in a time where kids cartoons weren't taken as seriously and that's not something the makers of those shows can help that's all us but for every Bonkers we got a Batman: The Animated Series a show which not only took it's source material seriously but treated is audience as equals and guess what it's become the best adaptation of the character because of that fact.

I'm one of the unlucky few who's seen the new Peter Rabbit movie more then once and honestly from what I recall it was bad but every single parent who saw the movie said the exact same thing which was "it's a kids movie what do you expect". That right there is the problem you should tare a movie apart even if it is a kids movie and why because kids deserve better they deserve better movies and shows your just going to excuse a movie for being bad then your just as worse as the the people who made the film because you accepting a terrible movie and not demanding better.

Now i'm not going to say that all kids shows and movies should be aimed at the whole family indeed people should at times expect some kids movies to be pretty bad. That however doesn't mean that you should say that all cartoons are for little kids because to say that without even watching them makes you come across as ill-informed it would be so easy for me to say that Steven Universe is a show for little kids but the more you go into it the more you realise it's more adult then you first realised.

To me if you want a perfect example of something that is clearly made for little kids then look at Top Cat: The Movie and the Cars franchise these two are so obviously made for little kids so no one would blame you for saying that there just for little kids. However again I have to hit this point that doesn't excuse them from being bad movies if somethings bad then you should say so because if not then your going to be seeing more terrible movies like the first Cars movie and Top Cat: The Movie.

I don't mean this post to cause any hate so if you don't agree with anything then please be respectful i'm also not saying that you can't enjoy any of the movies or shows that i've mentioned but if you look at them you know that they were really are just for little kids. I'm saying al of this just to cover myself because you just know that someone somewhere is typing that i'm telling them they can't like there favourite show or movie when that's never going to be the case.

I will for forever and a day say that Batman: The Animated Series is one of the best cartoons out there and that's taking into account cartoons from today as well. I say that because of how good the writing is this is show that's made for little kids and yet it treats them as smart people this is the kind of stuff that should be in cartoons and yet whenever a parent says that cartoons are just for little kids they are lumping not only this great show but Steven Universe , Gravity Falls and Star Vs The Forces Of Evil together with shows that air on Disney Junior or shows that are straight up bad.

Also by saying that cartoons be they in movies or TV shows are just for kids your kind of also disrespecting those involved with whatever it is your saying is just for kids. I know that people aren't going to care about a total stranger and that makes sense but imagine if someone walked up to you in the street and said that whatever it is you did for a living was something a little kid could do how would that make you feel i'm willing to bet that it would make you feel pretty bad in some cases.

Also really debunking that whole mind set are shows like Steven Universe , Star Vs The Forces Of Evil and The Legend Of Korra among many others which push the boundaries of what's expected from a kids show. One of the ways they do that is by including same sex couples that's something that alot of shows that alot of us grew up with wouldn't even try to do and yet when people say that those shows are just for little kids it kind of feels like a step backwards at least in my opinion it does.

Now I can see why adults would say this because they only look at what's popular and assume it's the same thing all round. That does make sense because let's be real they don't have the time to check out every single animated show or movie so they only look at what's popular and like it or not the kind of shows and movies that are popular are stuff made for and who's target demographic is little kids I know that sucks but it's true and the sad part is there's nothing we can do about it.

Boys and girls I know that this post seems all over the place and that's because I came up with this idea and started writing this post in like ten minuets. However the heart of the post is still there and I know there are alot of people on certain apps who agree with the statement that cartoons aren't just for little kids however tho there's nothing we can do to change people's minds because there only going to look at what's popular and nothing more.

Cartoon Vs Anime An Open Post

OK cartoon fans i've been struggling to come up with at least a semi decent blog idea and this was the only one that I could think of that was something different. In this post we are going to look at both Cartoons and Anime and try and judge which is better please note tho that I won't be looking at shows or movies but rather writing , animation , acting and if it's for kids or not since there the things that they'd both have in common so it makes sense so here we go.

Writing

Cartoons

The writing in most cartoons like anything can range from good to bad depending on who's involved with the show. Take for example The Flintstones for it's first four seasons the writing was pretty solid but when Bamm-Bamm got introduced suddenly all of that mature writing was gone and in it's place was something that was strictly for kids and it's in my experience that this kind of thing wouldn't happen in anime.

Anime

Now to keep things fair and scare here i'm not going to make comparisons to a show that is clearly better if it's a cartoon or an anime and im not going to be talking about films either. Now lets talk anime because even tho i've seen some pretty bad anime recently the overall writing in the good shows is really freaking good. Pokemon for example even tho like The Flintstones it's for kids it treats it's audience with respect and this will be the only time in this post that you see me mention a film but in the movie I Choose You there were some good emotional moments in there.

Animation

Anime

Now incase you don't know the above image is from an anime called Eiken it's known as the worst anime ever made and yes i've seen it. I mention Eiken because it's a perfect example of an anime with freaking terrible animation every single mistake that could be made with the animation in this show is freaking made however it's important to note that not all anime shows have terrible animation infact sometimes that's far from the truth.

Cartoon

Like Eiken have had the pleasure of watching the reboot of The Powerpuff Girls and while I personally didn't the wlel known animation errors. I do agree with people when they say that this show is badly animated now however like Eiken this isn't true for all cartoons or all cartoon reboots for example the Ducktales reboot has some great animation as do shows like Final Space but when the animation is bad be it in an anime or cartoon it really does show.

Acting

Cartoon

This is a bit harder to split into both mediums but i;m going to try my best because I do think it needs to be talked about. Cartoons have a rich history when it comes to voice acting legends we have all heard the late and great Mel Blanc be it when we were growing up or if we just want to watch a Looney Tunes cartoon however sadly in my personal opinion outside of maybe a few actors we have nobody who we can truly say are great actors.

Anime

Again as with cartoons we've all heard the great Sean Schemmel as Goku be it in various Dragon Ball TV shows , movies or video games. Now i'm not a big follower of Japanese actors yes I will watch subbed anime but I have no idea who's in them so in terms of dubbed anime the acting can really be off at times and alot of that isn't the actors fault because by the time they get to record the lines it's already been animated and shown some where else in the world so they have to match the lip movements. However when the acting in an anime is good it can be heaven to listen to.

Is It For Kids

This is where both cartoons and anime are in the exact same boat because it some point you'll hear these exact words "that's for kids" well truth be told in cartoons that will not always be the case but sadly the main stream people won't ever convert to that way of thinking because of the fact that cartoons are marketed more towards little kids. Which is because it's alot easier for them to try and sell something to a little kid then it is to an adult.

Anime is in the exact same boat but not for the same reason anime is in this boat because alot of the main stream audience confuse an anime show for a cartoon. Which is understandable since anime is short for animation however unlike with cartoons where you'd have a hard time trying to convince people that a show like Adventure Time can also be for adults you can try and get alot further with them with an anime. Since all you'd have to do is mention shows like Hellsing Ultimate , Elfen Lied or Castlevania and they'll know right away that those shows are for adults only.

Now you might have noticed that I havn't put who won what in this post and well there's a simple answer for that. I want to keep the ending open to interpretation so you guys can think that I think that cartoons are better or you can think that I think that anime is better and guess what you'd both be right.

My Thoughts On Both Summer Camp Island And Craig Of The Creek

Hello there cartoon fans i thought that instead of producing the next Cartoon History i'd tell you my thoughts of two recently released pilots and honestly one of the pilots has me excited while the other has me interested in the fact it offers something different.

The plot of the pilot for Summer Camp Island is that Oscar and his best friend are having there annual sleepover and that best friend invites someone else. I'll admit the summery i gave doesn't really do it justice just due to what happens in the end and just based of that alone makes me interested because it is something different. Now the plot for Craig Of The Creek is Craig and his best friends go on a journey to help Craig get his staff back i have to say that the pilot to this show reminded me alot of Recess and that's not a bad thing at all.

Now i can't say if Summer Camp Island has a great cast of characters since in just the pilot we didn't see much of them but i can say that the characters in Craig Of The Creek and they all have there own little quirks like for example one of Craig's friends will sometimes narrate her own life like it's a book and she's the hero  not only is that clever and it also makes the character more interesting.

I do have to give Cartoon Network alot of credit here because a show like Summer Camp Island is a big risk for them to take not only is it an odd premise but the characters also look strange and the story telling is alot more adult then most of their shows are and you could even make the argument that Craig Of The Creek is a risky show as well.

I can see why people would be put off by the artwork of Summer Camp Island i mean instead of making cartoony looking designs they look like real animals and while that did in fact throw me off at first especially when you add in the large pupils i think that once you get past that you'll find a strange show that is oddly entertaining.

As for the designs in Craig i think it's pretty clear that the creators who also worked on Steven Universe made their characters look like Steven Universe characters (if that makes any sense at all?) but with that being said the characters do look good.

In terms of jokes i'd have to say that Craig is s freaking funny i cannot count the amount times just in the pilot episode alone that i lost it there's even a Steven Universe cameo in there i won't spoil where the cameo is but when you see it you'll know all of the jokes in that pilot to me worked.

However the same cannot be said for Summer Camp Island i don't know why but none of the jokes in the pilot episode really worked altho i did like the fact that everything in that camp is strange and odd that was pretty clever and i hope they go further with it when the show premiers.

So there you go guys that is what i think of these two pilots and honestly i cannot wait to watch more from these two shows it's just a shame we don't know when they will actually start airing episodes.

5 Live Action Shows That I Think Should Get A Cartoon Series

Hello there animation lovers everytime i've done a list i've always thought with my serious cap on well for this post not only have i taken that cap off i've also fed it to the dog so everything on this list is just for pure fun and i'll admit i don't have the plot for most of these worked out but that makes it more fun so hear we go with the 5 live action TV Shows that i think should get a cartoon series.

5) Sherlock

The recent UK updating of the classic Sherlock Holmes stories has gone on to become a ratings hit so for me it would make sense to make an animated version since there's tons of stories you could adapt and since there's years before each new series this cartoon could fill in that hole.

4) Doctor Who

Unlike Sherlock there has actually been two animated episodes of Doctor Who produced but they've never done a full animated series and since they animate older episodes every few years to me it's a no brainer and the fans have openly said that they want more adventures with the classic Doctor's so why don't the BBC give the fans what they want.

3) Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Unlike the other's on this list this one not only had a three minuet pilot made but also had several other scripts done and ready to go the only issue was finding a home for it but gosh darn it that will not stop me from hoping and praying that this gets made and this is perhaps the only one where i would say stick to the scripts that were made since the pilot was so freaking cool.

2) Orange Is The New Black

To be honest guys this is the only one where i don't know what you could do in the animated version of this show but i just think it would be pretty sweet to see the show in animated form you can even have the cast from the show voice there characters here and you can have it air on Netflix.

1) Game Of Thrones

Game Of Thrones the TV series has changed the way that TV shows are produced this show has movie quality writing , acting and directing so imagine all of that awesomeness but in a cartoon show and the best part is the story is already there in book form all the show makers would have to do is adapt the books.
