To say the reboot of The Powerpuff Girls is bad is understatement fans hate , the critics hate and the original cast hate it but something happend a few weeks ago the internet was talking about this special that would introduce a new member of the team so here is my review of Power Of Four.
The basic premise of the special is the girls find out they have another sister and they try to help her fit in with there family. Now the special was made up of five regular episodes of the show each one containing there own story but with a few characters linking them all together and the premise isn't that bad it does a good job of setting up this new character i will get into the ending tho later on since it's a disappointment for me.
The voice cast for this series and the special include Amanda Leighton , Kristen Li , Natalie Palamides , Tom Kenny and Olivia Olson. I know alot of people love the old voice cast but the new voice actors for the girls do a good job there not going to beat the original actors but for this version of the show and for this special they work altho i did find Olivia Olson's voice a tad distracting tho and for some reason Olivia gives Bliss a slight British accent which doesn't work at all.
Now i could go on and on about the animation errors in this version of the show but i won't do that but i will say that there some errors in this special as well but the quality of the animation overall was really good i think that this series best animation was used in the scene that introduced Bliss and in the final fight of the special.
Bliss herself from the waste up looks pretty good she looks like a character you'd find in The Powerpuff Girls but from the waste down she looks terrible for some reason the show makers gave her really wide hips and really long legs and they just don't work with the rest of the body design at all i get that she's meant to be a teenager but that doesn't mean you have to make her look just strange.
For some rather odd reason the show uses the old Professor design when they decide to tell Bliss's backstory and i think they also reuse the opening animation from the original show and it really doesn't mix well with this series animation at all.
I have to mention because they pulled a Poochie on everyone except Bliss doesn't die i won't give it away but it's terrible ending and they could have come up with something better since the network plugged the hell out of this special most of us my self included most likely thought this would have a long term effect on the show but based of this special it won't.
Overall this special wasn't that bad but it wasn't that good either and it defiantly doesn't stop the reboot from being terrible for me this special is a 4.5 out of 10.
