The Muppet Show "Rita Moreno" Review

The Muppet Show is perhaps one of the most well known puppet shows out their with The Muppets themselves able to secure some very well known names. Since I've made it a habit to continue to talk about the show it was only about right that I talk about another episode of this truly iconic TV show and so then join me as I review the episode that introduced the world to a famous sketch from The Muppets that is with the episode in question being called simply just "Rita Moreno" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is the first thing that's right about this episode since it has no plot to begin with. As such The Muppets are now allowed to be as chaotic as they want to be and same thing can also be said for this episodes guest star both of which just wouldn't be able to happen if this episode had a plot since the characters would have to be really alot more focused on getting from point A to point B in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is the great Jim Henson as Kermit The Frog , Waldorf , Rowlf, The Swedish Chef , The Newsman , The Jim Henson Muppet, and some of the Muppaphones and Frank Oz as Fozzie Bear , Anima l, Marvin Suggs , Sam The Eagle , The Frank Oz Muppet , George The Janitor , Mildred , Animal's Dancing Partner and Miss Piggy. Also starring in this episode is Jerry Nelson as The Jerry Nelson Muppet , Pig Bartender , The Announcer , Whatnot and some of the Muppaphones , Richard Hunt as Miss Piggy , Miss Piggy's Dancing Partner , Statler , Sweetums and Wayne , Dave Goelz as Rita's Dancing Partner , Zoot and The Guru , Eren Ozker as Janice and John Lovelady as Rita's Dancing Partner.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. Also for some reason alot pf The Muppets have totally different voices which was really distracting.

As you can no dount work out by the title of this review this episodes special guest star was actress Rita Moreno. I have to admit that of all of the episodes that i've seen of this show she was perhaps the worst guest star simply because of the fact she wasn't that funny say what you want about all of the over guest starts but they were at least actually funny whereas Rita was trying to hard to actually be funny and that inturn made her rather unfunny.

Thr greatest thing about watching thus show is the fact that every now and again your going to see a character or in this case characters that you haven't seen before now. Since I had to no idea that Jim Henson , Frank Oz and Jerry Belson all had Muppet counterparts let alone that they actually voiced them as far as I can tell they only appeared in this one episode in a song that aired exclusivey in the UK but either way it's great to see that even all of these later you can still find characters that you never knew even existed in the first place.

Rather shockingly there aren't that many backstage segments in this episode with the only ones that we get involving a running gag featuring a phone and Fozzie Bear. This is why there really isn't a plot in this episode however at the same time half of the fun of this episode is seeing The Muppets causing chaos backstage and so in the end removing the backstage segments ultimately causes alot more harm then it does good since it makes the episode slightly less fun to watch.

I said at the very start of this review that this episode introduced us to a famous Muppets sketch and I was right since this is the first episode to include a Veterinarian's Hospital sketch. Which I actually liked since the idea of Rowlf being such a useless Doctor that he can only use terrible puns is such a funny idea to me altho like with alot of this episode what took me out of the sketch was the odd voices for both Janet and Miss Piggy which is a shame because it was a really funny sketch.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty six minuets and nine seconds. Which was a tad bit on the long side for this episode simply because of the fact that this episode really doesn't have a plot to speak of and so there's only so long that you can watch a show with no plot until you get bored which is sadly what was close to happening with me and this episode.

So now then since this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With nearly all of this shows jokes not only landing but landing hard yes there are some bad jokes told in this episode but that's not limited to this episode since you very well could say that about any episode of a comedy TV show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this wasn't that bad of an episode since it did show us what The Muppets could be like when there just being chaotic and that really did make the episode alot of fun to watch in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode erns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official The Muppets fandom wiki page and Google Images. With the website that I personally recommend using to get the actual images frim this special being the official The Muppets fandom wiki page this is simply because nearly all of the images that are featured and are thus up and on the official The Muppets fandom wiki page are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly high in definition.
