The Mandalorian "Chapter 17: The Apostate" SPOILER FILLED Review

Star Wars the day that we have all been waiting for is now finally here since the new season of The Mandalorian has just debuted it's premier episode. This was a debut that I was looking forward to mostly because I was interesting in seeing how or even if they mentioned Cara Dune at all and well I was not disappointed and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FILLED review of the show that starts of a new quest for our favorite hero with the episode in question being called simply just "Chapter 17: The Apostate" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is Din Djarin decides to go some Mandalorian springs in order to redeem himself for removing his helmet however those springs happen to be on Mandalore itself. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with this episodes plot doing a very good job of setting up what might be the plot of this season in a very entertaining and engaging way in  my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Pedro Pascal as The Mandalorian , Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze and Emily Swallow as The Armorer. Also starring in this episode is Carl Weathers as Greef Karga , Tait Fletcher as Paz Vizsla , Wesley Kimmel as Ragnar , Parvesh Cheena as A Nevarro Copper Droid , Marti Matulis as Vane , Shirley Henderson as The Voice Of The Anzellan Crew , Nonso Anozie as Gorian Shard and Mat Fraser as Pirate Coxswain.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. Which for this show isn't anything that's all that new since this show has always had some really good acting in it which just goes to show you just how good the acting is not only in this episode but in this show as a whole.

Try as I might I cannot find out who did the CGI for this episode anywhere online at all which is such a shame as I really liked the CGI in this episode. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good with this episodes CGI being movie quality good.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Like i'm sure alot of people I was curious to see how the would handle Cara Dune given that actress Gina Carano was fired from Lucasfilm. Well i'm pleased to tell you that the character of Cara Dune is very much alive and well but is just of screen this is perhaps the best way that they could handle the departure of this character since either way they'd risk making alot of people angry and this way they can still have the character make an impact on the show without her actually showing up in any of the shows episodes.

If you've seen the episode then you might have noticed that i've left one name of the cast list with that name being Taika Waititi as The Voice Of IG-11. Since yes the droid who died in the shows first season does play apart in this opening episode with Din using some of his parts to build something that will hopefully come in use to him on Mandalore this is a great to bring this character since it's something that really hasn't been done before at least in terms of either the live action Star Wars movies or the live action Star Wars TV shows and I have no idea why since it makes this world feel alot more reel and alot more realistic.

We also get to alot of Grogu doing alot of cute things which was just a joy to watch but there's only so much of that that they can show before it starts to get tired and repetitive. Which was very sadly the case with this episode since alot of the cute stuff that we saw Grogu doing just felt repetitive but at the same time I don't think anybody could ever get tired of seeing Grogu just doing cute stuff but also there has to come a time now where you have to stop doing that because of where the characters are in their own personal journey and seeing Grogu doing cute things might eventually hinder his own personal character journey.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly thirty five minuets and sixteen seconds. Which was such a short running time for this episode to have since you very easily could have stretched this episodes plot up to at the very least forty five seconds which would have made the episode feel alot more satisfying then what it actually is since with it's current running time the episode just has to rush from plot point to plot point and as such scenes just aren't given the time that they need to just breathe and that does effect the overall pacing of this episode as well with scenes going by so much faster then what they really need to.

So now then since this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With this episodes action being alot better then what I thought that it was going to be and it helps that we get a really cool and really great looking action scene that reintroduces Din and Grogu which is just so really awesome and is a really awesome way to reintroduce us to these really great characters in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Overall this was a great way to start of the new season of this great show and it shows that having that extra year of from making this show really did work well enough in this shows favor in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode earns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Star Wars fandom wiki page , the official The Mandalorian fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from these very episodes that I used in this very review being the official Star Wars fandom wiki page simply just due to the fact that alot of the images that are featured / up and on the official Star Wars fandom wiki page are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
