Scooby-Doo! and Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery Review

Scooby fans the Mystery Inc gang have done alot of crossovers in the past but few have been in a feature length movie and none have featured a band and that's all changed with the movie i'm about to review Scooby-Doo! and Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery.

The plot of this movie is Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Gang team up with the one and only rock band KISS in this all-new, out-of-this-world adventure. That's really all I can say about the movie since anything else would spoil some of the awesome scenes that this movie have to offer but tho I will say that the team up does feel very natural and the story is pretty solid.

As the Scooby gang we have Frank Welker , Matthew Lillard , Grey DeLisle and Mindy Cohn who's playing Velma for the last time in this movie and I do have to say that the Scooby regulars do a pretty solid job in this movie but let's be real you all want to know how well Kiss did well starring as the band we have Paul Stanley as The Starchild , Gene Simmons as The Demon , Tommy Thayer as The Spaceman and Eric Singer as The Catman. I do have to say that the saying about musicians being bad actors is still true with this movie there not bad but they should have taken a few acting lessons before recording this movie.

I'm gonna try and not give anything away here but if you've seen this movie you'll know that alot of what happens in the final ten minuets just doesn't add up at all and that's a shame because alot of what came before it is so freaking good and freaking insane.

As you all know by now the animation was handled by Warner Bros. Animation and I have to say that the animation was really freaking good like better then what I was expecting it to be I was expecting the animation for this crossover to be on par with the Powerpuff Girls and TTG crossover but no it was freaking amazing and you can tell that the animators had a blast working on this movie.

Something tells me that the makers of this film watched alot of Sailor Moon or any magical girl anime just because there's alot of scenes in this movie which to me looked like they were inspired by anime and since i'm an anime fan I liked seeing those scenes in this movie but tho because of how awesome they are i'm not going to spoil anything because you have to see this movie.

For me the mystery aspect of the film was pretty good the film does a good job of giving you small nuggets of information which is what a good mystery should do and it's something that this franchise has been known to do quite well and i'm glad that they did it with this crossover which could have easily just been a quick cash grab movie and nothing else.

I will say that if you like Kiss then you will love the songs in this movie because all of them are Kiss songs and all of them are awesome especially the intro song which is my personal favorite Kiss song "Rock and Roll All Nite" altho I would have preferred it if they played that song near the end of the movie.

Like I said there's alot of stuff in the final ten minuets that just doesn't add up which normally wouldn't bother me that much if the scenes before it weren't just pure awesome and I think that the film makers forgot how awesome those scenes are because those final ten minuets is full of things which made me go "what this doesn't make any sense" and it is was kinda frustrating to see it play out.

The Scooby films usually don't have childish jokes or fart jokes in them and I think that helps in making them more accessible to adults but sadly tho this film does have a fart joke and guess what it's not even funny in the slightest but tho the jokes nine times out of ten do work in this film but like I said there is a really unfunny fart joke which isn't needed.

Overall believe what many Scooby fans say about this movie it really is freaking awesome and i'm glad there working on a second on and I have to say villainess is pretty hot just gonna put that out there so this movie gets a 7.5 out of 10 from me.
