Doctor Who: The Crimson Horror Review

With a show like Doctor Who you never really know what kind of show that your going to get from episode to episode. As one episode might be fairly scary episode and the next episode might be one that's more comedic and lighter in tone with the episode that i'm going to be reviewing for you all today being a really creepy episode of the show and so then join me as I review the episode that sees a truly iconic actress join the show with the episode in question being called simply just "The Crimson Horror" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is when bodies start turning in Victorian Yorkshire Madame Vastra , Jenny Flint and Drax along with The Doctor and Clara set out to stop this evil scheme once and for all. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad as it was a really unique plot but at the same time it's also not that very good either with it being the type of plot that you'd expect from the show at this point in time only it does nothing new or interesting and as a result of that is the fact that this plot just feels like that's going through the motions and while yes this episodes plot can be really good in parts with it having some really good ideas but the plot also doesn't really flesh out those ideas to the point where they feel like there really good ideas and as a result of that is the fact that the ideas that this episodes plot does try to introduce only feel good on paper and that's really it with the plot of this episode also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Matt Smith as The Doctor , Jenna-Louise Coleman as Clara Oswald and Catrin Stewart as Jenny Flint. Also starring in this episode is Neve McIntosh as Madame Vastra , Dan Starkey as Strax , Rachael Stirling as Ada , Eve De Leon Allen as Angie , Kassius Carey Johnson as Artie , Brendan Patricks as Edmund & Mr Thursday , Graham Turner as Amos , Scott Stevenson as The Dipped Man , Olivia Vinall as Effie , Michelle Tate as Abigail , Jack Oliver Hudson as Thomas Thomas and Dame Diana Rigg as Mrs Gillyflower.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. This is something that not really all that new for this show as pretty much all of this shows episodes from this time period pretty much all have some really good acting in them with the same thing also being true for this episode as well with the true standout performers in this episode being both Matt Smith and Dame Diana Rigg both of whom just give phenomenal performances in this episode and it's there acting in this episode that really does make the episode really worth watching as that's just how good there acting in this episode really is with the acting that's in this episode really being helped by the fact that the script for this episode is just so good that all this episodes cast have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance really will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very episode. 

Doing the CGI for this episode is the legends and the really greats that are currently over at The Mill and Real SFX. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with this episode having very shockingly minimal about of CGI with there only really being one big CGI effect in the whole episode and that's the reveal of the rocket ship that Mrs Gillyflower plans on using to spread her poison and kill everyone with that rocket ship looking really good given the fact that Doctor Who is produced on a very small budget and yet this episodes CGI still looks ten times better then the CGI that's in multi-million dollar movies that came out last year and while yes this episodes could have been better in some places given the fact that this show is produced on a really small budget it's remarkable that the effects that are in this episode turned out as good as they did as on paper this episode effects really shouldn't have looked all that good and yet we somehow managed to get some really good effects in this episode.

This episode does gave some surprisingly effective scares for a kids TV show with the fact that The Doctor is pretty much close to his death bed when he first appears in the episode. Which is just such a creepy idea even the location of Victorian Yorkshire looking really creepy and adding a somewhat Gothic atmosphere to the episode something that is added with the characters of Jenny , Drax and Madame Vastra all three of whom really do get a chance to shine in this episode and all three of them combined really do add to the overall dark tone in this episode the only real issue with the episodes scares is the fact that alot of the scares that are in this episode are just a bunch of jump scares which is fine for one two scares but when that's the overall majority of this episodes scares then it really does show that the makers of this episode aren't really willing t do all that much creepy and scary with them instead just relying on the atmosphere and jump scares and that's really it and while the atmosphere does indeed work and while some of the jump scares are indeed really creepy you do need a majority of different scares in this episode in order to make this episodes scares as effective as they really could have been and yet by the very fact that the makers of this episode chose not to do that it really does limit the amount of actual good scares that are to be found in this very episode.

In what was a really shocking move this episode really doesn't feature The Doctor all that much with him not even appearing until at the very least the fifteen minuet mark. With him not appearing in the episode not really effecting the episodes quality as the episode is just so good in it's own right that you almost forget that he's not even appeared in the episode yet with Jenny , Drax and Madame Vastra being the episodes main characters which does make sense as this episode was meant to basically be a backdoor pilot for a spin off show featuring those characters and as a result of that is the fact that not having The Doctor appear for a good chunk of the episodes running time as that does allow those character to really shine in there own right and it is something that really does make you wonder what a show featuring those characters would have looked like and given just how popular that those characters really were back when this episode was first airing it also makes you wonder why they didn't get there own show as the three of them really could have lead there show and yet even with The Doctor not appearing for a small chunk of this episodes running time it also makes you wonder where he is and when he will show up in the episode as well.

This episodes villain Mrs Gillyflower really isn't all that strong of a villain as she doesn't really get alot of screen time in this episode. Yet what little screen time that she does get she makes the best used of it by showing just how evil that she could be with it even being revealed that she basically abused her won daughter and made her go blind all of the sake of some question to find out at what dosage does the human body start to resist against her own poison and while she does have a clear end goal in mind the fact that the she doesn't have alot of screen time really does harm her as a villain as it means that she really get alot of time to show us the audience just how good and how interesting of a villain that she really could have been and yet when she does act creepy she does come across as being a really creepy villain and one that had all the potential to be one of the greatest Doctor Who human villains out there and yet because of the fact that she doesn't get alot of screen time it also means that she can't become as fully developed as a character which in turn would make her not only a really interesting character but it would also go a really long way into making her a really creepy villain as well both of which are things that really would have helped her character in the long run.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty four minuets and thirty nine seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstanderd running time for this show to have and to this episodes credit it really does make the most of that running time by spending the time to give us some somewhat good characters and to really shows us why Jenny , Drax and Madame Vastra really do deserve there own show and while yes the episode really does have enough there interms of plot to really cover that large amount of running time the episode also really didn't need to be as along as it was as alot of the episodes running time is spent with either filler scenes that add nothing to the plot of pointless comedic scenes which create tonal whiplash with the episodes more serious and creepy tone and yet if those scenes where removed from the episode then nothing that's actually important to the plot of the episode would need to be removed as all your removing is the pointless scenes that nobody would miss in the first place with the time that's then freed up could then be used to give the episodes cast some actual character development and make them feel like fully three dimensional characters but I really will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us n this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With this episodes action really being alot better then what it really had any right to be as it really does show us that even a character like Jenny a character that we really haven't seen in a fight before now really can not only hold her own in a fight but can also get the best of several men all trying to fight her at the exact same time which yes might come across as being a bit campy but it's also something that really does work in the context of the episode with the best action in the whole episode being the episodes action packed third act which is just so exciting to see from it's start all the way to it's finish with even the more really lighter moment with Drax near the end oddly working really in it's favor as it's something that that character would do which really does show that the makers of this show really can make a really good action sequence when they really want to that is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this episode was alot better then it what it really had any right to be as on paper this episode shouldn't have been that good and yet for one reason or another this episode turns out to be a really fun episode that is also a very criminally underrated episode in the shows history in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

Cow And Chicken "Field Trip To Folsom Prison" and "The Girl's Bathroom" Review

Back in the nineties there was no escaping Cartoon Network as it was the one channel that us kids just had to watch. With there being alot of really memorable shows that are still talked about to this very day and while yes we do get a few shows that aren't as well known today the overall majority of there shows were really well known shows this was the not the case with the episodes that i'm going to be talking about today and so then join me a I review the episodes that introduced the world to a talking Cow and Chicken with the episodes in question being called imply just "Field Trip To Folsom Prison" and "The Girl's Bathroom" enjoy.

The plots of these episodes are when on a field trip to a local prison Chicken gets mistaken for one of the prisoners and it's up to Cow to save him and in "The Girl's Bathroom" Chicken ventures where no boy has dared to venture before him the girls bathroom. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in thee very episodes was in all honesty really good as both plots are indeed some really simple and really easy to follow along with plots with both of the plots also being wonderfully child like and silly whilst  also adding in some more mature elements as well and while yes the plots of thee two episodes might seem silly and dated by today's standard that doesn't stop them from being a bunch of fun filled plots that serve as a a great way to introduce this show with as they give you a good idea of the type of plots that his show really did do quite alot of the time with both of these plots also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Starring in these episodes is voice acting legend Charlie Adler as Cow , Chicken and The Red Guy and Dee Bradley Baker as Dad and Prisoner 2. Also starring in these episodes is Candi Milo as The Teacher and Mom , The Simpsons star and voice acting legend Dan Castellaneta as Earl , Howard Morris as Flem , Dick Gautier as Rhode Island Red , Glenn Shadix as Prisoner 1 , The Gate Guard and Poopy The Clown.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty really good. With the actors that you expect a really good performance will delivering on the acting side of things but that's also the problem as they give you the kind of performance that you expect from each of these actors and really nothing new and as such there's really nothing all that surprising about these actors performances it's just the same old type of performance that we've seen done better in ither and better shows with the acting that's in these episodes really not being helped by the fact that the scripts for these two episodes aren't really all that good as none of the give the actors alot to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant meant to be in the first pace which s something that really does effect the overall quality of the acting that's really in these first two episodes.

Doing the animation for these episodes is Rough Draft Korea , SEK Animation Studio and Shanghai Morning Sun Animation.Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty really good with the animation in both of these episodes really being alot better then what it really had any right to be but at the same time this shows animation style is just weird and ugly to look at alot of the time with the characters eyes barely connecting to there heads in alot of shots which might have been a stylistic choice but it's also one that makes the characters very unappealing to look at as well and while yes granted the characters do have some really fluid movements and that zany animation does help with alot of the episodes more out there jokes it doesn't stop the whole thing from looking really ugly to look at with the show as whole looking like something that would actually scare kids and not something that they would actually want to sit down and hopefully even enjoy.

These two episodes alone and the show as a whole leave with alot of burning question none of which get answered. Like for example how does a female human give birth to both a Cow and a Chicken and why is the dad just OK with it with another being how does The Red Guy keep on getting jobs especially when it's painfully obvious to anyone with eyes and a brain cell who the character is modelled after these are just some of the questions that these to episodes alone leave with and to the episodes and the shows credit it doesn't explain any of them as to that would take away alot of the fun of the show as this is show is meant to be nothing more then junk food for the brain your not meant to question your just meant to sit down and enjoy it and that's really it and that is something that really does work well for this show as not alot of shows need to be smart shows as sometimes just being a dumb kids shows that meant for little kids is more then enough and while yes it would have been interesting to see either this show or these episodes address those questions head on to do so would go against the very nature of the show that being a show that's meant to be zany and goofy and not one that we the audience are meant to question at all.

While this episode does get alot of things it does some things right like the first segment "Field Trip To Folsom Prison" does do a good of setting up the shows formular and the relationship between the titular characters. With Chicken being more of cynical person who will do anything not to hang out with his sister despite he fact that deep down he really does care about and Cow being a very happy go lucky type of character who's just always happy to whatever anybody else wants to which does create an interesting dynamic between the two characters and while these first two segments don't really go into that much detail about there relationship and heck outside of two scenes in "Field Trip To Folsom Prison" the characters barely spend any time together when they do get together or a scene we really do get a good feel of what these characters and how the show is going to moving forward with them as the lead and while yes it would have been interesting to see hints of there relationship it's not really needed as they have the rest of the show to do that and as a result of that is the fact that it really doesn't need to do any of that in these first two segments.

Speaking of The Red Guy his inclusion in "Field Trip To Folsom Prison" really doesn't make any kind of sense. As his character wouldn't be the warden of this prison. If anything he'd be one of the prisoners as his original role in the show was to act as someone who would tempt either Cow or Chicken into these dangerous situations or into situations that they know is wrong hence why he looks the way that he looks where as here Chicken is already in prison not completely because of something that he did but due to how bad the guards are and as a result of that is the fat that it really does make no sense for his character to appear in the episode other then establish him as a character and that's really it and that's not really something that makes all that much sense once you not only take the rest of the show into account but also take in the shows pilot from What A Cartoon where alot of the time he is to serve as a cautionary tale and not somebody that you'll bump into on a school trip to prison even tho you personally have done absolutely nothing wrong infact technically the only crime Chicken does commit isn't committed by Chicken himself is committed by Cow who breaks her brother out of prison without him even knowing it.

Now then these segments has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly six minuets and thirty three seconds and six minuets and thirty four seconds respectively. With segment one having the better running time as it really doesn't have alot there interms of plot to cover anything longer then that and as a result of that is the fact that alot of the episode is all about advancing the plot forward where as with episode despite it having a strikingly similar running time to the first segment actually feels alot longer then that with "The Girl's Bathroom" having alot of scenes that could be seen ss being filler and as a result of that is the fact alot of the segment really does feel like padding as that one segment really doesn't have all that much there interms of plot to really warrant that amount of running time and as a result of that is the fact that "The Girl's Bathroom" really could have done with being a minuet or two shorter and while yes the first segment does also contain alot of filler like we don't really need to see Red just doing things in Chickens school as all that does is make the rest of the shows characters look really dumb those scenes do also serve a purpose of showing Cow come to realisation that Red isn't her brother thus also advancing the plot of the segment where as the same thing cannot be said for the second segment but I really will admit that both of these segments really do have some really good pacing to them tho.

So now then as this is a comedy that really does mean that I have to actually talk the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in these very segments and well then in all honesty I im all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in these very segments was in all honesty not that bad. However that's also the problem as alot of the comedy that's in these segments isn't all that good with alot of being random humor that adds nothing to the actual plot of the segment mixed in with the very occasional bit of slapstick and adult humor and while the adult jokes do work they also make you wonder how they managed to get that joke past all of the censors as in the "The Girl's Bathroom" segment when Chicken says that they can even buy cigar in here it's pretty obvious what he's actually talking about and while the kids watching the segment won't get it you just know that the adult who's watching it with them will get it and yet that's one of only two jokes that are actually funny in both of these segments with the other one being a nice slapstick joke near the start of "Field Trip To Folsom Prison" with that joke just being a really funny joke no matter what show tries to tell it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this was a really solid pair of segments to start of this truly iconic show off on and it is also a really good example of just how weird and wacky that this show could be when it's at best as well and while this show will never be remembered as fondly as the other Cartoon Network shows at the time it will always be remembered by those who grew up watching it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in these very segments in this very review and as such that really does mean that "Field Trip To Folsom Prison" really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from and "The Girls Bathroom" really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me with both of these segments combined earning a grand total combined score of exactly a 5.5 out of 10 from me.

Suicide Squad Isekai TV Series SPOILER FILLED Review

Warner Bros Pictures. right now really loves anime with them just releasing the debut trailer for The Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim and Rick And Morty: The Anime. As such it would be really understandable if people just straight up forgot about or even didn't know about this show even being a thing let alone the fact that it's just aired it's tenth and final episode and as such you all just knew that I had to review the show the very chance that I had as i'd been watching each and every single dubbed episode of the show when it was being released and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FILLED review of the show that technically marks DC's third ever foray into the world of anime with the show in question being called simply just "Suicide Squad Isekai" enjoy.

The plot of this show is when Task Force X finds itself trapped in another world they have to find away back to there own world all whilst trying to stop a war between the various factions in this new and strange world. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty not that bad but at the same time tho this shows plot wasn't all that good either as while yes it does just give us a stereotypical isekai type of plot only with DC characters it really doesn't do all that much that's actually interesting with the characters that they have instead alot of the time Task Force X spend alot of time just exploring the world that there i n and not really trying to find a way home it's only in a few select episodes where the plot of the show actually becomes the main vocal point of the episode and it's those episodes that are some of the best episodes in the show with the plot of this show also being really rather entertaining and as well as as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Also starring in this show is Sean Patrick Judge as Christopher Smith / Peacemaker , Brandon Hearnsberger as Basil Karlo / Clayface , Andrew Love as Nanaue / King Shark , Jeremy Gee as Rick Flag Jr. , Jasmine Renee Thomas as Amanda Waller , Genevieve Simmons as Tatsu Yamashiro / Katana , Luci Christian as Princess Fione , Patricia Duran as Queen Aldora / The Undead Queen , John Gremillion as Cecil , Adam Noble as Otis Flannegan / Ratcatcher , Jade Kelly as Lich , Jay Hickman as The Thinker , Christina Kelly as Dr. June Moon / Enchantress , Cyrus Rodas as Hank , Chaney Moore as Arthur The Dragon and Scott Gibbs as The Joker.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty not that bad. Which was kind of unexpected as alot of this shows voice cast are a bunch of really unknown voice actors and as a result of that is the fact that it really would have been foolish to expect good or even great acting from this shows voice cast and while the performances in this show aren't that great as alot of the shows cast give the characters weird voices with the best example of this being Scott Gibbs as The Joker goes from a character that sounds creepy and scary in Batman: The Animated Series to a character that sounds a bit to campy for his good and it gets to the point where instead of being scared of the character your laughing at the character as his voice is just that bad with the acting that's in this very show not really being helped by the fact that the scripts for this show are really bad as none of them give the actors much to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities which is something that really does effect the overall quality pf the acting that's in this very show.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty not that bad as it's quite clear that there is alot of love and effort thrown into the animation in this show but at the same time this shows animation isn't all that good either with it being made painfully obvious in alot of episodes where they cut corners as they don't show the characters faces nor do they show characters lips moving which is something that does have the add on effect of making the show as a whole look cheap and while yes it's not unusual for a show to cut corners here and there to save money for the bigger and more expensive looking episodes but even in this show in those bigger and more expensive episodes there still cutting corners to save money on the animation instead of just going all out but when this show does have some good looking animation in it it really is some really good looking animation.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

The end of episode 10 does set up the possibility of a second season for this show but what it does is so dumb as it makes no sense. Since for strange reason The Joker has gained the ability to shape shift when at some point in the show he found himself in this world and has been going around as Katana which makes no sense as any version of The Joker doesn't really care for Harley as there in an abusive relationship and the only reason that he would want to rescue her is because it's something that benefits him or because he's bored and that's really it and he would never go and try to take over a new world as his whole thing is fighting Batman something which The Joker himself has said is something that he enjoys and heck even in The Lego Batman Movie he nearly destroyed the whole world just because Batman didn't say that he hated The Joker and yet for some strange reason this show thought it was a good hook to have the character appear in a tease for a potential second season which OK does make sense as he is a popular character and having him in the shows second season would bring more eyes to the show buy at the same time it's also something that needs to make sense for the character and not just be there for the sake of being there.

To give this show some credit the Task Force X characters are really fun characters with alot of them acting exactly how you think that they would. Yet they would also change things up like for example Clayface is pretty much an anime fan who explains all the ins and outs of an isekai to the team which can be pretty funny at times and Harley later on in the show becomes a mother figure to the teams dragon which again does lead to some fun scenes but neither of them are things that play into the shows plot with Arthur The Dragon being there basically to fly Harley close enemies in action scenes and that's really it but that's the golden treatment compared to what the rest of the characters get as none of this shows characters are given anything interesting about them which would work for the comic book characters as then you could always chalk it up to the fact that they have literal decades worth of comics to get there personalities across but for the shows newer characters that's not an excuse and heck the shows newer characters even disappear from the show for episodes at time so much so that it would be understandable if you all forgot that those characters were even in this show in the first place and yet towards the shows end it's those characters that go on to play a much more bigger role in the show this is despite the fact that these characters disappear for huge chunks of the show.

The shows villain is The Undead Queen who is a character that can control armies of the dead which on paper does sound cool and it does lead to some really cool action sequences in episodes 6 and 10. However at the same time the show does nothing unique with that idea like for example since Clayface does technically die in a few episodes how cool would it have been if she was able to control and have him then have to struggle between killing this truly evil person or kill the people that he's grown to like over the course of the show and yet the show does none of that and infact they don't even have the events of episode six where a good few members of Task Force X appear dead infront of Harley in any meaningful way outside of one reference in episode 9 and that's really it and that's not really good enough as something like that should effect Harley as a character and make her want to do better but all it does is leave her the exact same character and heck even the shows main villain doesn't really appear until the end of episode 9 with her appearing in other episodes as a version of Queen Aldora which does technically mean that she's dead and that Princess Fione might now technically be the queen of this world and yet having her appear that late in the shows run really doesn't help the character as it means that the character really doesn't have the chance to get across what her end goal is nor does it give us the audience a reason to hate this character either as we've not had the time to get really get to know this character as a villain.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty four minuets and forty one seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstandard running time for this show to have and to this episodes credit it really does have more then enough plot to really cover that amount of running time and yet at the exact same time tho this episode really could have been longer as it has so much to wrap as this is a show that really doesn't need a season two and yet this show doesn't end with the team going back to our world which makes no sense as the whole point of the show has been about the team trying to get back to our world and that is something that really could have been covered in this episode and yet they don't do it and instead they chose to end the show on a pointless cliffhanger with The Joker with his scene just being there for the sake of being there and not because of the fact that adds anything to his character and while yes this episode does have a really good running time to it at the same time there are portions of this episode that do feel like filler like we don't need to see Peacemaker and King Shark fighting Killer Croc as that adds nothing to the episode and really could have been left on the cutting room floor but I really will admit that this episode and this show as a whole really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in his very show was in all honesty really good. With the action in this show being where the show gets to be the most fun as we get to see the team use the powers that they got when they entered this new world at various stages alot of which do lead to some really fun scenes like for example Harley can now make things bigger and Deadshot can now hit things miles away and things like that which is great as it's true to there characters and heck even in episode ten they all get a Sailor Moon esk transformation sequence which then leads to  really fun battle against an army of the undead and it;s that very action scene that's the best looking action in the whole series as it's something that's been built up for a few a episodes and due to the fact that the battle started in episode nine it really does feel epic and like there are actual stakes involved which is something that does add to the overall excitement of the action scene itself in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a solid series but it's one that could have been alot better and actually did something interesting with it's legacy characters and give us new characters that we want to see more and that we want to like instead of having them just be there for the sake of being there and that's really it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in his very show in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very show really earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.

Doctor Who: Fear Her Review

Doctor Who has never really been one to attract controversy as it's mostly been controversy free and while yes there have been some minor controversial moments in the shows past before now. There's really only been one maybe even two controversial moments that spring to mind well now that number has sadly gone up and that is something that does effect that i'm going to be talking about today and given the nature of the controversy it is something that's going to be have brought up in this review as well and so then join me as I review the episode that sees The Doctor take on his smallest enemy yet with the episode in question being called simply just "Fear Her" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is when kids on a typical street start disappearing it's up to The Doctor and Rose to find out what's happening and stop whoever is taking these kids once and for all. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all h0onesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that that bad but at the same time the plot of this episode really isn't all that good either as it just comes across as being the stereotypical Doctor Who plot only without any charm to it and while yes this episodes plot does have some really good and creepy ideas in it the plot as a whole really does come across as feeling like it somebodies first draft of a screenplay and not there final draft as there are alot of things from a plot perspective that could have been worked on some of which they actively discuss in the episode commentary track as well but when this episode does get something plot wise it really does get it really right with the plot of this episode also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is David Tennant as The Doctor , Billie Piper as Rose Tyler and Love Actually star Nina Sosanya as Trish. Also starring in this episode is Abisola Agbaje as Chloe Webber , EastEnders star Edna Doré as Maeve , Tim Faraday as Tom's Dad , Love Actually star Abdul Salis as Kel , Richard Nichols as A Driver , Erica Eirian as A Neighbour and Stephen Marzella as A Police Officer.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With all of this episodes actors turning in some really good performances which for David Tennant and Billie Piper Billie especially is really nothing new as she's been playing Rose Tyler for a really long time at this point in time and there she would therefor no what kind of performance would best suit her character in any given situation with the rest of this episodes actors also really turning in some really performances which really does go to show that the director for this episode Euros Lyn really does know hoe to get a really good performance out of his actors with the acting in this episode really being helped by the fact that the script for this episode is just so good that all this episodes actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance really will come out of them which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very episode.

Doing the CGI for this is the legends and the greats that are really currently over at The Mill and Any Effects. Now then interms of what I personally thought /felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad but at the same time this episodes CGI wasn't all that good either and while that can attributed to the fact that this episode had an even smaller budget then what Doctor Who usually has as the next two episodes were very effects heavy episodes and as such they needed to cut corners in this episodes in order to make room in the budget but at the same time given that this episode really doesn't that many effects in it and both of them don't look that good there should have been more of an effort into creating some really good effects even if it was done on a tiny effects budget as the effects teams wouldn't have any other effects in this episode to really take away from the bad effects and yet even tho we do get some decent looking effects when it comes to people watching the Olympics the pencil creature and the Isolus don't look as good as they really should have done. 

There's no way that I could possibly talk about this episode without talking about it's recent controversy thanks to it's guest star Huw Edwards. As it's come to light that he was caught with images of children that number one weren't his kids which is bad enough but secondly are images that you don't want to be caught with and as a result of that is the fact that the BBC have pulled this episode off of BBC IPlayer thus making this episode the only episode in Doctor Who history to have an episode pulled off of BBC IPlayer and while them pulling the episode does indeed make sense as what he did was very wrong at the same time it has come out that they knew about it and as a result of that is the fact that them pulling the episode really does come across as them trying to save face in the eyes of the public now how much the Doctor Who production team knew when they were making the episode is hard to say as none of them have come out and said anything either way but given that they working on re-recording his lines with someone else does say that they perhaps didn't know what he's been up to but there is always a chance that they did know and like the BBC are trying to do now are just trying to save face in the eyes of the public.

On to much more lighter things while Doctor Who has always had it's fair share of cheesy moments in it. This episode does have a really cheesy moment in it as well as when the torch barer for the Olympic flame falls over they have The Doctor run up to him pick the flame up and light the Olympic Flame which on paper does sound like a really good ting as Doctor Who is a British icon and the Olympics were taking place in London both in the episode and in real life but at the same time it is something that really does come across as being a cheesy moment and it's one that could have been left out of the episode as while it does add to the plot of the episode as it explains why the Alien's spaceship is now able to leave the earth there could have been other less corny ways to have that happen and still keep the episodes Olympic theme front and centre and yet they way that they went with just came across as being really cheesy in all of the right ways just due to how iconic Doctor Who is but it could have been done alot better and done in a way that wasn't as cheesy as it was and yet they way that they went with does seem in keeping with the episodes alot more lighter tone as well. 

In a rather bizarre twist the episode really doesn't have an out and out villain as while the closest thing to villain is Chole's deceased father. With him acting like the abuser that he was when he was alive with him trying and in most cases succeeding to torment Chole and her mother Trish but even then he really doesn't come into play as a villain with the vast majority of the episodes running time being spent with Chole and the by extension the Isolus being the episodes main villains with them getting alot of the episodes care and attention with the father only being given the spotlight in smaller scenes which makes him feel like a secondary villain when in reality he's the episodes main villain and yet the episode really doesn't treat him as such and yet the Isolus who despite having very noble end goals of just wanting to return to there own family is instead treated as the episodes main villain when there in fact the episodes secondary villain and as a result of that it really does mean that we get a pair of characters that despite them working in this episode would have worked much more better if they switched there own roles with the father becoming the main villain of the piece and Chole and the Isolus becoming the episodes secondary villains as that would allow the episode to still tackle it's child abuse subtext and yet still give out the message of hope , love and unity that is present all through out this episode as well.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty six minuets and three seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstandard running time for this show to have at this point in time and to this episodes credit this episode really does have the right amount of plot to really cover that large amount of time and while the episode does feel like that it's going through the motions alot of the time when the episode really does ramp up near the end it does get more exciting and when the episode does have some scares in it there some really good scares that remind you of just how creepy Doctor Who can be and yet at the exact same time this episode really could have done with being a bit longer as the episode has so many characters that really do need fleshing out and yet thanks to this episodes running time they can't be as fleshed out as they really could have been with the same thing also being true for both Trish and Chole as well as both of them do come across as being very dimensional characters when out of the episodes guest cast they are the ones that should have been given the character development that they really needed the most but I really will admit that this episode really does gave some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. As the action really was exciting to see with doing a good job of getting us the audience really excited to see the father get destroyed which while he does get destroyed in a rather underwhelming way it's still exciting seeing how we get to that point and the fact that it was something that was really well built up thanks to the jeopardy of not having The Doctor there to save the day means that it now forces Rose to think on her feet and it forces her to become the hero that we've only seen glimpses off throughout her run in the show which is something that does work really well for this episode as it shows that The Doctor does have a lot of faith in Rose even tho she might not have it in her self just yet and because of the fact that we get a really exciting action packed third act that works really well in the context of the episode but doesn't work really well on paper as it something that really does need to be seen in order for it work as well as it really does in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Overall this is an episode that on paper should have been really good as it had all of the potential to be a really good episode of this series of Doctor Who and yet for one reason or another this episode just didn't live up to the potential that it had with the episode instead really just instead crumbling under all of it's own potential in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.

Johnny Bravo TV Series "Johnny Bravo" , "Jungle Boy In Mr Monkeyman" and "Johnny Bravo And The Amazon Women" Review

Cartoon Network in the nineties was a truly wonderful place to be with pretty much all of there shows fro that time period being really good shows. However with all of that success does mean that a few shows will get forgotten about as is the case with the show that i'm going to be talking about today as this is a show that really isn't talked about all that often not often by those who were around when it first airing either and so then join me as I review the episodes that technically aired as part of another cartoon show first with the episodes in question being called simply just "Johnny Bravo" , "Jungle Boy In Mr Monkeyman" and "Johnny Bravo And The Amazon Women" enjoy.

The plots of the episodes are in Johnny Bravo Johnny tries to recapture a nine hundred pound gorilla and in Jungle Boy In Mr Monkeyman King Raymond becomes jealous of Jungle Boy and sets out to ruin his reputation once and for all and in Johnny Bravo And The Amazon Women Johnny finds him on island full to the brim with beautiful Amazon Women and does everything that he can do to get near them. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plots that;s are actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plots that are actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad as all three of episodes plots were really strong plots with the weakest episode plot wise by Jungle Boy In Mr Monkeyman just because of the fact that alot of that episode is spent with nothing going on to advance the plot of the episode where as with the other two segments there was always something going on that was advancing the plots of the segments with the plots also also being really rather rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in these episodes is Jeff Bennett as Johnny Bravo and Man 3 , Soleil Moon Frye as Mary and Maurice LaMarche as The Fat Robber and The Narrator , Roger Rose as The Gorilla  Scott , Butch , Christopher and Louis , Mae Whitman as The Little Girl , Cody Dorkin as JungleBoy , Michael McKean as King Raymond , Rupert and Rhino , Candi Milo as Mary Antelope , Effie and Jill , April Winchell as Donna , Kris and Liz , Brenda Vaccar as Melissa , Pat Musick as Grandma , B.J. Ward as Cindy and An Amazon and David L. Lander as Christopher.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that;s actually featured / presented to us in these episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in thee very episodes was in all honesty really good. Which is something that really does make alot of sense given that pretty much all of the actors that are in these episodes are a bunch of really are a bunch of really good actors and a bunch of really good voice actors in there own right with all of them really delivering some really good and some really funny performances in all three of these episodes with the acting that's in these very episodes really being helped by the fact that the scripts for this episodes are juts so good that all this episodes cast have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performances will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in these episodes episodes.

Doing the animation for these episodes is Hanna-Barbera Productions , Fil-Cartoons , Mr. Big Cartoons , Sunwoo Entertainment and Wang Film Productions Company. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty person ally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in these vert episodes was in all honesty not that bad and was a lot better then what it really had any right to be but at the same time tho the animation that's in all three of these segments wasn't really all that good either as the backgrounds don't look that good in Johnny Bravo And The Amazon women this is despite them looking really good in Johnny Bravo and the animation and backgrounds in Jungle Boy And Mr Monkeyman while it wasn't really the best was certainly alot better then what it could have been with the backgrounds in that segment just looking really bland and really boring with the same thing also being true for Johnny Bravo And The Amazon Women as well with all of the characters having some really nice and fluid movements to them in all three of this episodes segments with the animation really shining through when it comes to all three segments comedy.

What alot of people might have forgotten about or just straight up don't know is that even these segments are indeed the first three segments in Johnny Bravo they weren't originally produced as apart of the series. As all three of them were instead produced as apart of the show What A Cartoon which showed new cartoons in every segment with the more popular ones becoming there own TV shows with prime examples of this being Cow And Chicken , Dexter's Laboratory , Courage The Cowardly Dog and The Powerpuff Girls with this show also being one and a few years after this show had been picked up and started airing int's first season these segments were then added into the mix to form the shows first episode this was done tho after the show official first episode had already aired thus meaning that all of the episodes get moved down one order from what they originally were and given that alot of the other shows that came of from What A Cartoon also included there original What A Cartoon shorts as part of other segments it does make sense that this show would combine there episodes to make up the first Johnny Bravo episode as even tho none of them feature the regular supporting cast of characters they do give us the audience a good idea of just what the show will be like in future episodes in the show moving forward.

To be frank this show would not be made simply due to the fact that Johnny Bravo himself does in the first segment force himself onto a woman and in the other segments of not only this episode but the show as a whole spends alot of time trying to get with various women. While yes he does get turned down in more often then not very violent and always hilarious ways you can just picture somebody somewhere getting offended by this cartoon without realising the fact that he's getting turned down is apart of the joke and is the shows way of saying that's he's in the wrong and that how he treats women in the grand scheme of things is also wrong as they'll just take this show at face value and that's really it and yet they'll find the Jungle Boy segment which is the weakest of the three segments to be the most enjoyable for no reason whatsoever this is despite the fact that the Jungle Boy segment has very little redeeming qualities about it as that character is one joke character where as with Johnny Bravo you can get a good few jokes just out of how dumb he is alone with the fact that he can't get a single woman to go out with him being as aspect of his character as all those people who are easily offended will be focused on is the fact that he kissed a woman without her consent despite the fact that she beats him up for it directly afterwards.

Speaking of the Jungle Boy segment there was one redeeming factor about that segment and thats the fact that King Raymond is the segments most entertaining character. As he's a villain who just wants his subjects to obey him and to love only him thus giving him a bit of an ego and yet everybody around him either hates him or just straight up ignores him which does lead to some very entertaining scenes as he sets out to ruin Jungle Boy's reputation by giving him a bad name all done with him going around dressed up as Jungle Boy which includes him shaving off all of his skin and wearing a wig all of which goes a long way to proving the fact that this character does have an ego and can;t handle the fact that nobody likes him heck even his own monkey butler really doesn't care for him all that much either and this is something that does make him an entertaining character as it gives him flaws and a reason for him being the way that he is and heck the whole segment would have been better if he was the main focus of it and if Jungle Boy was instead given more of a supporting role as Jungle Boy as a character really just isn't that interesting nor is he all that entertaining as a character as he's just the stereotypical good guy who just so happens to be a toddler and that's really all there is to his character where as there's alot kore to King Raymond as a character.

Now then the first segment has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly six minutes and fifty three seconds with the second segment having a grand total running time of exactly six minuets and thirty three seconds and the third segment has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly six minuets and twenty two seconds. With all three segments really having some rather solid running times as all three segments really do have the right amount of plot to really cover there respective running times with the the segment that has the best running time being Johnny Bravo And The Amazon Women just because of the fact that they do spend some time in setting up the amazon island and really making as good a use as they could have done with that running and while all three segments pack in a ton of jokes in there segments respective running times it's the first segment Johnny Bravo that takes as full advantage of it's running time as it could have done as that segment who Johnny is a character and still tell a really good story which it really does manage to given the short running time that the segment has but I will admit that all three segments really do have some really good pacing in them tho.

So now then as this is a comedy show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in these vert segments well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that;s actually featured / presented to us in these very segments was in all honesty really good. With all three of this episodes segments really having alot of really funny jokes in them and all three segments really packing in alot of jokes in there respective running times alot of which are quick little sight gags that chances are your not going to notice on a first viewing like the fact that in the Jungle Boy segment that make a reference to Everybody Love Reymond which was a quick little joke but it was still a really funny joke with the first and third segments having some really funny slapstick moments which really do show off just how funny this shows animation really could have been as the slapstick not only looks painful but it also looks really funny as well but even then there not the best joke of this whole entire episode as that honor goes to a joke in episode where in order to convince the zoo keeper to let him go after the gorilla Johnny tells her that he's a superhero with one of his powers being able to make a sandwich which was just such a funny joke and really did show off just how dim witted that this character really was in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while these episode both are and aren't the official start to Johnny Bravo they do give you a good idea of just how random that this show was and just how funny that this show was when it was at it's best and while it wouldn't get made there might be some people out there who love these segments as alot of them are just that good and are that funny as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in these segments in this very review and as such that means that Johnny Bravo earns itself a grad old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 , Jungle Boy In Mr Monkeyman earns it self a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 and Johnny Bravo And The Amazon Women earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 with all three segments earning themselves a combined grand total score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.
