My SPOILER FILLED First Impressions Of The Avatar: The Last Airbender 2024 TV Series

Hot of the heels of there hugely successful One Piece live action adaptation Netflix has now just released another live action adaptation of a beloved animated show from the mid 2000's. However where as One Piece had the help of it's original creator to help to guide the makers of that show this one really doesn't have that as such it had the potential to be a hot mess and well you all just knew that I had to check out at the very least the first episode of this show the first chance that I got and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FILLED first impressions of the show that has the chance to be better then it's own movie adaptation with the show in question being called simply just "Avatar: The Last Airbender" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is one hundred years after the Avatar disappeared two siblings find a boy who may or may not by the Avatar. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I inn all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad as the plot of this episode was really well done and while there are issues with the plot those issues aren't something that can be brought up here due to them being spoilers however the plot of this episode is also alot more faithful to the show then that of the live action movie The Last Airbender with this episodes plot also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Gordon Cormier as Aang , Kiawentiio as Katara , Ian Ousley as Sokka and Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko. Also starring in this film is Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh , Lim Kay Siu as Gyatso , Casey Camp-Horinek as Gran Gran , Hiro Kanagawa as Fire Lord Sozin , Yvonne Chapman as Kyoshi , Ruy Iskandar as Lieutenant Jee , Matthew Yang King as The Voice Of Appa , Leo Chiang as Monk Thet , Jeff Yung as Monk Tsutop , Jayden Zhang as Myat , Dorian Giordano as Aydo and Silver Kim as Pasang.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. However that's also the issue as the acting in this episode isn't all that good either granted it's alot better then the acting in the The Last Airbender live action movie but that's not really saying all that much as the acting in this episode is still really bad with alot of the episodes cast just turning in some fairly wooden performances with the episode in this episode not really being helped by the fact that the episodes cast isn't really all that good either as it gives none of the episodes cast nothing to work with interms of what it is that there characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place and the episodes director Michael Goi really quite clearly doesn't really know how to direct his cast and get a good performance out of his cast.

Doing the CGI for not only this but also the rest of the show as a whole is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Double Negative. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual GI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally though / felt that the actual CGI that's actually feature d/ presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with the episode having better CGI then what was really needed or even expected and yet at the same time the CGI in this episode just looked like it had no weight to it with the CGI characters moving like there weightless and not like they would normally move like however on the flip side of that is the fact that this episodes is at times so good that it felt like that it belonged in a movie and not in a Netflix streaming series as the effects in this episode were just that good.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!

The plot of this first episode of the show was quite literally the plot of the first two episodes of the animated show. Only it now includes things from the third episode of the animated show which just don't work as the episode is trying to do so much instead of just focusing on being a good episode with the episode stripping Aang of the emotional growth that the animated show gave him in just it's first few episodes as instead f not showing us the attack on the air temple in the original show we find out about that attack when Aang does and that makes it all the more heartbreaking as he spends a good chunk of the episode believing that alot of the people that he loved and cared about are still alive which makes it all the more haunting and heartbreaking when he finds out that there no long alive and yet this episode robs us of a scene like that by outright showing us the attack on the southern air temple just because it wants to have to an extended action sequence.

To give this episode credit it is somewhat better then the live action movie adaptation in that it doesn't skip over plot points with lazy narration or try to fit several episodes into one storyline but at the same time tho it does commit one of the biggest sins that the movie version committed. That being the fact that the original shows creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are not involved having left the show due to "creative differences" with the duo being replaced by the showrunner of Sleepy Hollow and the producer of Nikita Albert Kim which is a huge red flag when you realise that both of those shows got low ratings for there respective networks and it just goes to show you that the only two two people who should work on this show on a creative level is Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko as nobody else would know that world and those characters better then those two as they created the original show and that world and those characters.

Unlike alot of other live action adaptations of animated shows there are is a sense that those involved do have a passion for the original show. With even the characters costumes looking as closely as they could get to the original animated show and alot of the characters do act alot like there animated series counterparts as well the issue is tho is that this franchise works best as an animated as the makers of the show can they go as over the top as they need to and aren't bound by the laws of physics which is something that does let this episode down quite alot as it can't be as cool or as fun as the original animated series first two episodes were and even taking the new approach of just focusing on the larger narrative instead of including smaller scale filler and really character driven episodes doesn't make the show that much fun to watch as alot of the really great character moments come from those smaller scale episodes that aren't adding to the main plot of the show but they are adding to the relationships between the three main leads which just does just go to show you that even if the makers of this new show really have a passion for the original show they still need to know how to make a good show in the first place and really judging by show creators Albert Kim's IMDB page that doesn't seem like something that he really knows how to do.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and three minuets and fifty one seconds. Which is a solid running time for this episode but at the same time given that it's just a retelling of the shows first two episodes with nothing really all that new added to it there's no reason as to why this episode should have been forty four to forty five minuets long with the only two things that might be new scenes that don't add anything to the plot of the episode being the episodes pre-titles scene which even then didn't need to be as long as it was and was really there just to have a couple of action scenes as even tho they set up the threat of the Fire Nation in the pre-titles scene the shows intro also does that which makes it's inclusion in the pre-title scene really even more pointless then what it already is but I really will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now the as this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual actin that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With the episodes action being alot better then the action that we got in the movie adaptation with the Earth Benders actually being treated as an actual threat to the Fire Nation and not being treated like a joke like they were in the movie and heck the episodes best action scene despite being in a pointless pre-titles scene is actually in the pre-titles scene as it shows you just how cool and how strong the Earth benders really are and why they are a threat to the Fire Nation which makes for a really cool looking action sequence in this episode in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Overall while this shows first episode is alot better the The Last Airbender live action movie it's still not that good of a show and while it could indeed get better as the show goes on if the foundations are bad then it doesn't matter how good the rest of the show will be because it was built on shaky foundations in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very post and as this is only my first impressions I won't give this show a rating as any show can have a good or bad first episode but if this post does well then I will look into covering more episodes of this show as a review tho.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very post well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very post well then I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very post from the official Netflix fandom wiki page , the official Avatar fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from these very episode that I used in this very review being the great and legendary Google Images simply just due to the fact that really alot of if not really all of the images that are all really from this episode and are really of course on Google Images are really all fairly high in quality and as well as them all being really fairly freaking high in definition.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce "The Legendary Battle: Extended Edition" Review

It's safe to say that out all of the many season of Power Rangers out there one of the worse ones is quite easily Powers Megaforce and Power Rangers Super Megaforce. As both seasons of the show just built up to something that was in it's original run rather underwhelming however Saban / Nickelodeon must have known as they released what is basically a directors cut of the show final two episodes and so then join me as I review the episode that was meant to celebrate really roughly twenty years of Powers Rangers with the episode in question being called simply just "The Legendary Battle: Extended Edition" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is when the Rangers finally defeat another one of of The Armadas generals they discover that an invasion of earth is about to begin and so have to stop the invasion before earth is doomed forever. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad as it was plot that's epic enough to be the final episode of an action but at the same time it doesn't really wrap up anything that was set up in the previous episodes instead just glossing over them or not wrapping them up in a way that made sense but this episodes plot was really rather entertaining and as well being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Andrew Gray as Troy Burrows , John Mark Loudermilk as Noah Carver and Azim Rizk as Jake Holling. Also starring in this episode is Christina Masterson as Emma Goodall , Ciara Hanna as Gia Moran , Cameron Jebo as Orion , Jason David Frank as Tommy Oliver , Selwyn Ward as T.J. Johnson , Patricia Ja Lee as Cassie Chan , Danny Slavin as Leo Corbett , Reggie Rolle as Damon Henderson , Melody Perkins as Karone , Sean Cw Johnson as Carter Grayson , Alison MacInnis as Dana Mitchell , Jason Faunt as Wesley "Wes" Collins , Hector David, Jr. as Mike , Brittany Pirtle as Emily , Chris Auer as The Voice Of Robo Knight , Shailesh Prajapati as Ernie , Ian Harcourt as Mr. Burley , Geoff Dolan as The Voice Of Gosei , Estevez Gillespie as The Voice Of Tensou , Mike Drew as The Voice Of Emperor Mavro , Rebecca Parr as The Voice Of Levira and Adrian Smith as The Voice Of Redker.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad by Power Rangers standards. However at the same time tho the acting in this episode is quite clearly not that good either with alot of the acting from the then current team of rangers for the most part being really wooden and in the case of Andrew Gray also really robotic as well none of this is the fault of the cast as there only being told what to do and how to say those lines but the acting in this episode really isn't helped by the episodes which is just so bad as it gives none of the episodes cast much to work with interms of what there respective characters personalities are even meant to be and as a result of this really is the fact that the episodes cast reall just can't turn in that good of a performance as the episodes script really just won't allow for it.

In what was a rather shocking not all of the returning characters have speaking this is despite two of them being in the previous season of the show and where already in New Zealand. Which makes no sense to include as out of any of the ranger teams it's sadly those two that kids today are going to be the most familiar with and heck even Damon Henderson from Power Rangers Lost Galaxy gets no speaking lines even in this extended version where alot of the characters could have been given speaking lines as the episode has more then running time to give them at least one line of dialog and yet for some weird reason the episode doesn't do that which makes no sense in the slightest as this is an anniversary episode and yet there not having some Rangers speak in the episode which is just a weird thing to do.

For some reason this episode tries and fails to be as epic as the two episode Countdown To Destruction from Power Rangers In Space. Even just straight up copying the scene where all of the earth characters wonder where the Power Rangers even are however what made the scene work in Countdown To Destruction is the fact that prior to Power Rangers In Space we had spent several years with those characters and heck the episode even had characters that we knew of and had spent alot of time with where as in this episode outside of the cameos from past rangers alot of the characters that we see in that scene are all characters that we've never seen before and as a result of that is the fact that the scene now looses all of it's impact as for all we could know these new characters might not even like the Power Rangers to begin with but what would have made the scene work is if they had some characters that we actually knew trying to cheer people much like what they did in Countdown To Destruction as realistically alot of the earth characters would be trying to cheer people and try to keep the hope alive and well.

One of the plot lines from the show that this episode misses the mark with is the relationship subplot between Jake and Gia. Which ends with her kissing and them becoming a couple which isn't the problem the problem is that the episode doesn't set that up and yet the episode has a perfect point where they could have started to develop that relationship a bit more as when the rangers fall out of there megazord and they all land in separate locations instead of having Jake land pretty much next to Noah and Gia land near Emma you instead have Jake land next to Gia he then gets up first and goes to help her with the two of them exchanging a look and maybe having a moment together and that's all you'd need to set up the fact that maybe she's starting to fall for him just that one quick scene that wouldn't have taken that long to film and you wouldn't have to change a single line of dialog and yet as it is the ending to that subplot just comes out of nowhere and feels really rather rushed when it really should have been set up at some point earlier in the episode.

While the episode does give Tommy Oliver some slight focus he doesn't take over the entire episode with him only appearing unmorphed for two or three scenes. With the episode giving equal treatment to alot of the past Rangers all while showing us trying to help people when they really need it which is a great way to showcase alot of these returning as it brings them back into the story in a way that feels more natural then what the show had been doing where a past Ranger would just show up for no reason here they all have a reason to be in this one town which is to help to stop The Armada and they just so happen to get caught up in the attacks which leads them to helping to rescue alot of the townsfolk but it would have been nice if we got to see characters like Justin for example or Andros or even Bulk & Skull just because it would show the threat from both point of the view of the rangers and the point of view of those who really aren't rangers.

Now then this episode really has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly fifty five minuets exactly. Which is a solid running time for this episode even though it's just two episodes edited together and to this episodes credit this episode does have more then enough plot there to cover that large amount of running time and the extra running time does allow for the plot to be as fully developed as it could have been without it feeling like an extra long episode of the show but at the same time the entire Legendary Battle episode itself really should have been it's own thing as that's the whole reason as to why people are watching this extended edition as the titular battle really did get the short end of the stick in the regular edition and the extra time given to it in this episode does help to make feel all the more important and I really will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty the best part of the episode. As this was where the episode got to be the most fun even tho they do make painfully obvious that there using Sentai footage for the Legendary Battle just by having the Rangers say that they don't need a power up for no reason whatsoever but the titular Legendary Battle does come of really better thanks to the episodes extended running time as it allows the fight to be longer and be filled with more cool and exiting moments all of which well enough in this episodes favor and all of which make the action in this episode seem really cool to watch in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this version of The Legendary Battle is better then the regular version both this episode and really both Power Rangers Megaforce and Power Rangers Super Megaforce are really flawed on a fundamental level in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that really does means that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6/5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all f the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all f the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Power Rangers fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from these very episode that I used in this very review being the great and legendary the official Power Rangers fandom wiki page simply just due to the fact that really alot of if not really all of the images that are all really from this episode and are really of course on the official Power Rangers fandom wiki page are really all fairly high in quality and as well as them all being really fairly freaking high in definition.

Game Of Thrones: Winter Is Coming Review

Game Of Thrones was a TV show that took the world by the storm with it's fantastic first season episodes. As it's been roughly two months since I last did a review of anything from this franchise I thought that now was the absolutely right time to delve back into this really fantastical world with the very episode that started it all and so then join me as I review the episode that gave us the phrase Winter Is Coming with the episode in question being called simply just "Winter Is Coming" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is when his good friend dies really suddenly in the night Lord Eddard Stark has to decide on if he's ready to become the hand of the king and really leave his home in the North for good. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with this episodes plot doing a very good job of setting up the mystery of who killed Jon Arryn and giving us a really good look at who these characters really were before the Game Of Thrones started with the plot of episode also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Sean Bean as Lord Eddard Stark , Mark Addy as King Robert Baratheon and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Ser Jaime Lannister. Also starring in this episode is Michelle Fairley as Lady Catelyn Stark , Lena Headey as Queen Cersei Lannister , Emilia Clarke as Princess Daenerys Targaryen , Iain Glen as Ser Jorah Mormont , Harry Lloyd as Prince Viserys Targaryen , Kit Harington as Jon Snow , Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark , Maisie Williams as Arya Stark , Richard Madden as Robb Stark , Alfie Allen as Theon Greyjoy , Isaac Hempstead-Wright as Bran Stark , Batman Begins star Jack Gleeson as Prince Joffrey Baratheon , Rory McCann as Sandor Clegane , Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister , Donald Sumpter as Maester Luwin , Jamie Sives as Jory Cassel , Ron Donachie as Rodrik Cassel , Joseph Mawle as Benjen Stark , Roger Allam as Illyrio Mopatis , Dar Salim as Qotho , Esmé Bianco as Ros , Susan Brown as Mordane , Bronson Webb as Will , Sir John Standing as Jon Arryn , Rob Ostlere as Waymar Royce , Dermot Keaney as Gared , Art Parkinson as Rickon Stark , Callum Wharry as Tommen Baratheon , Aimee Richardson as Myrcella Baratheon , Kristian Nairn as Hodor and Jason Momoa as Khal Drogo.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With all of this episodes cast turning some really good performances in this episode which really isn't all that surprising as alot of this episodes cast is made up of a bunch of really good actors who know how to turn in a good performance with alot of this episodes cast members really nailing there characters in this first episode alone which is a rare thing to do indeed however and what helps the acting in this episode is the fact that the episodes script is just so good that all the cast have to do is really just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them really naturally.

Doing the CGI for this episode is BlueBolt , Screen Scene and the legends and the greats that are currently over at Pixomondo. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad but at the same time it's wasn't all that good either not that it was bad far from it but the CGI in this episode really hasn't aged all that well with the episode really only using CGI to extend certain sets which is how CGI should be used as all your doing in enhancing what was already there on the day but on the flip side of that is the fact that because your really not spending alot whole lot of money on this episodes CGI it does tend age alot quicker then the more expensive looking episodes of the show.

What was truly shocking was seeing just how many storylines that this one episode either sets up or foreshadows. With the episode foreshadowing the fact that Bran will never be able to climb or even walk again and the fact that Daenerys has dragon blood running through her veins amongst several other storylines all of which are handled in a very subtle way something which the show would loose as we got near the end of the shows run and it was something that was truly shocking to see in this episode as it does go to show you that the makers of this show really did have a plan at the very least for this first season and it's good example of how good this show really was as alot of the foreshadowing done in this episode is something that us the audience really wouldn't notice on the first viewing of the episode and it just goes to show that when the writers of this want to be subtle and want to turn in a good script they really can do it when they well and truly really want to.

There are some issues that this episode does have and that's the fact that alot of who would become the main characters in this first season aren't really given enough time to display much of what there personalities are. Which is understandable as the show is not only one hour long per most of the episodes but is also ten episodes and as such it would be foolish to get across what there personality is like in the first episode as the shows several other episodes to get all of that across the other issue in this episode is the fact that the Starks are the main characters of the episode and to be frank at least in this episode there not the most interesting of characters while yes they do get more fully fleshed out as the season goes on and the books does start of with them as well there are other more interesting characters like for example the whole royal family that would have made for better main characters in your debut episode.

The version of Daenerys that we get n this episode is the version that we should have gotten in the shows final season. As this take on Daenerys is more then strong enough to last throughout the whole entire show as we see that while she is yes a little naive when it comes to how the world of the Dothraki works that is something we see her overcome over the course of this first season we see her learning and growing as a character something which is started in this episode and yet the version of the character we get in the final season just burns down anything and anyone that disagrees with her more often then not it's just because that she could and not because that she's improved as a character where as if the makers of this episode had stuck with her character progression then she would have taken meeting with the other rulers to get what she wants something which she does learn about during the shows early seasons and that is something that she starts to learn n this episode when she learns all about the Dothraki and there ways.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this episodes grand total running time even was I do know that this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly fifty nine minuets. Which is a bit of perfect running time for this episode to have as the episode really does have more then enough there interms of plot to cover that large amount of running time however at the flip side of things this episode really could have benefited from having just a slightly longer running time just so that the episode could start to fully flesh out some of it's other characters and give more of it's main characters a chance t show us the audience what there respective personalities are even meant to be but I will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. However on the flip side the action that we get in this episode isn't all that good either as we don't get the chance to see alot of this episodes action due to the fact that the episode cuts away from it and what little action that we do get in this episode is mostly played for laughs and doesn't really add anything to the plot of the episode which does make sense given that this is the first episode in the series but at the same time in your first episode you really do expect to see some really good action in that episode something which this episode really does in someway fail to give us in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this one episode is a really good example of just how good this show was as it's an episode that more holds up well over ten years later as it really is such a good episode that really is well written and acted and in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all bad the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the mages that I personally used in this very review from the official Game Of Thrones fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from these very episode that I used in this very review being the great and legendary the official Game Of Thrones fandom wiki page simply just due to the fact that really alot of if not all of the images that are really from this episode and are of course on the official Game Of Thrones fandom wiki page are really all fairly high in quality and as well as them all being really fairly freaking high in definition.

Keeping Up Appearances: Daddy's Accident Review

No matter where you live in the world we all either know or are related to someone who can at times be a bit of snob. Which does at times make there downfall seem all the more funny and yet with all of that wealth of potential for jokes there's really only been one series that's had someone who is a bit of snob be it's main character and so then join me as I review the debut episode that introduced us to a British icon with the episode in question being called simply just "Daddy's Accident" enjoy.

The plot of the episode is when her father has an accident local snob Hyacinth Bucket decides not to tell her friends in the hope that it won't effect one of her candle light suppers. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty simple but simple in all of the best ways as you don't really expect or even want a deep and complicated plot for the debut episode of a sitcom as instead all you want is something that gives you a good idea of what the idea is show is about while still being a good plot and that's exactly what the plot of this episode is with the plot of this episode also being really entertaining and as well as being really engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Patricia Routledge as Hyacinth , Josephine Tewson as Elizabeth and Judy Cornwell as Daisy. Also starring in this episode is Geoffrey Hughes as Onslow , Shirley Stelfox as Rose , Clive Swift as Richard , Bruce Alexander as The Doctor , Peter Cellier as The Major , Leo Dolan as The Postman , Paul Toothill as The Meter Man , James Ottaway as Mr Oxley and George Webb as Daddy.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. With all of the actors really turning in some really good performances in this episode however as this is the first episode of the show the acting in this episode isn't as good as it could have been and isn't as good as it gets in later episodes which does make sense as this is only the first episode and yet even with that in mind the cast nearly capture all of there characters perfectly with the cast really being helped by the fact that the episodes script is just so good that all the cast have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performances will come out of them naturally.

What was really impressive is the fact that the episode manages to paint the perfect picture of who the main character is without even showing her. Which is such a good way to set up the main character without actually showing her as the audience now has a picture of her in there mind of her being this monster type of character that alot of people including her own family really don't like and then you find out not only are they right but she's so much more worse then that it makes the episode seem alot more clever then what it actually is as while we do get a good idea of why people just straight up don't like Hyacinth but at the same time they make her seem like this really likable who is just oblivious to what people actually say and think about her with her just laughing it off or just straight up just ignoring it all together.

This episode does a really good job of making all of it's characters even the ones that your meant to hate seem like really likable characters. With all of the characters in this episode being given flaws and things that make them likable characters with Hyacinth being a snob to the point where she's willing to ignore family members if it means pleasing someone who's higher up socially then she is but at the same time she doesn't really know that she's ignoring her family members where as her sister Rose is a maneater who has lots of boyfriends most of whom are already married but she's just looking for love and that's the case with alot of the characters in this episode with alot of  them being characters that can be seen as likable characters despite all of their flaws and yet the characters in this episode are still likable and fun characters that you want to spend alot of time and watch alot more of as there just that fun to watch in this episode.

To say that this show has aged horribly would be a huge understatement as it's a show that really hasn't aged all that well at all. Not that that's a bad thing in this case as this episode does feature alot of things that were only things in the nineties like the fact that the Hospitals won't let you visit anyone unless it's during visiting hours or the fact that orders on a Chinese menu are done in numbered form both of which aren't really things anymore and while they do help to age this show alot of them are also things that we still do to this very day like the fact that when an Ambulance stops at a neighbors house almost everyone goes out to have a look which is just such a great little thing to notice as it's something that alot of us do for no reason and it's that kind of writing that makes this show standout from alot of other comedies from around this same time period as it's something that we all do only now we'd most likely also be filming it on our phones and not being stood out there talking to our neighbors about what we think is actually really happening.

To be frank your only going to really like or even enjoy this episode if your from Britain as it's very British in nature. With the episode being fun but also being based on aspects of British society and thinks that only British people would understand and even then you'd have to have been born around the nineties to fully enjoy this show and while the show is very held back by the fact that it takes place in the nineties in alot of respects there's a huge chance that if you love British culture then you might find this episode to be enjoyable as it has alot of the things about British culture that you'll enjoy and that does in it's own unique way make the show seem timeless as alot of people who didn't grow up in nineties Britain or in Britain at all then you'll laugh at alot of the things that we used to do and in some cases still do do.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty nine minuets and five seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstanderd running time for not only this show but for alot of British sitcoms as well and to this episodes credit it does have more then alot there interms of plot to really cover that amount of running time but with that in mind even tho it has the running time to end it's story the episode really doesn't finish it's plot with the episode just coming to an end which it really shouldn't have done but this is something that does happen in alot of the episodes of this show and while the show would get better at doing this with them ending on a really joke that does kind of tie into the main plot of the episode here the episode just ends when it really should have been starting it's third act and while that might be the point of the show as we're just viewing these characters for thirty minuets as a TV show it still needs to end it's plot but I will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With the episode having alot of really painfully moments in it which really isn't all that shocking as this show is written by the writer of Last Of Summer Wine , Open All Hours and Still Open All Hours with this writer knowing how to tell a good joke and he really does tell of really funny jokes in this episode with alot of the series running jokes still being really painfully in this episode as there just that good of a running joke that will always be funny in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this is a really good episode of this really funny show that should be watched by alot of people as this show whilst dated in some respects more then holds up in others with the show and this episode still being really enjoyable in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Keeping Up Appearances fandom wiki page , Wikipedia and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from these very episode that I used in this very review being the great and legendary Google Images simply just due to the fact that really alot of if not all of the images that are really from this episode and are of course on Google Images are really all fairly high in quality and as well as them all being really fairly freaking high in definition.

Doctor Who: The Tenth Planet Review

There episodes of any TV show that have made a huge impact on not only the show that they are apart of but also pop culture as a whole. With that being the case for the episode that i'm about to review for you all today as this is one of the most important episodes in all of Doctor Who history due to the one key thing that it adds to the overall lore of the show which has allowed the show to survive really for as long as it has done and so then join me as I review the episode that introduced us to the Cybermen with the episode in question being called simply just "The Tenth Planet" enjoy.

The plot of the episode is The Doctor , Ben and Polly land in the South Pole where they find themselves trying to stop a bunch of robotic alien men from destroying the earth for good only this fight might cost The Doctor his life. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with this episodes plot doing a very good job of building up the Cybermen as a genuine threat whilst at the same time still being a rather compelling story with the plot of the episode also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is William Hartnell as The Doctor , Anneke Wills as Polly and Michael Craze as Ben Jackson. Also starring in this episode is Robert Beatty as General Cutler , David Dodimead as Barclay , Dudley Jones as Dyson , Alan White as Schultz , Earl Cameron as Williams , Callen Angelo as Terry Cutler , John Brandon as American Sergeant , Shane Shelton as Tito , Steve Plytas as Wigner , Christopher Matthews as Radar Technician , Ellen Cullen as Geneva Technician , Christopher Dunham as R/T Technician , the great Roy Skelton as The Voice Of The Cybermen , the great Peter Hawkins as The Voice Of The Cybermen and Patrick Troughton as The Doctor.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With the acting in this episode being alot better then what it really had any right to be which really isn't all that surprising as the acting in alot of the early Doctor Who episodes is always really top notch with this episode being no exception as every cast member in this episode really does nail there performances with the best examples being both William Hartnell and Robert Beatty who both turn in some really good performances in this episode with the acting in this episode really being helped buy the fact that the episodes script is just so good that all the cast have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally.

Doing the animation for this episode is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Planet 55 Studios. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with this episodes animation being very experimental in it's animation style as it looks like that they just quite literally traced over the very few surviving segments from episode four which isn't a bad approach given the fact that there are few scenes from that missing episode still around in some way shape or form but at the same time alot of the characters just don't look like there original actors with alot of them being more like stylized takes on the actors in question when it really shouldn't be.

As was mentioned at the very start of this review this episode is a really important episode of Doctor Who as it's the first episode of the show to feature what we now know is regeneration. With this episode being the final time to feature William Hartnell as a series regular and unlike alot of the more modern regenerations are all done in really big and over the over the top ways and yet this first one was the complete opposite of that as it's done on a small scale with there only being three actors in the scene and that's it where as the more modern ones go really over the top with CGI and explosions all going off everywhere and the music being really epic and yet here there really was none of that and that was something that works really as it makes it more mysterious and it makes you want to watch the next episode just to see who this person as don't forget in 1966 regeneration hadn't been done before and as such nobody would have blamed the audience if they didn't know that this was still The Doctor and as a result of that they would have had to have seen the next episode in order to see that that was indeed still The Doctor and not a new character.

The regeneration itself is something that could have been worked into the story a bit better as as things stand it just comes up in the final moments of episode four and that's really it. Which mean that it does loose some of it's impact in someways as alot of us more modern Doctor Who fans who didn't grow up with classic Doctor Who would find this episodes regeneration something that comes out of nowhere and that wouldn't be the case if the episode really took the time to include some lines of dialog of how The Doctor's body is getting a bit old or you could show that The Doctor is now walking a bit more slower paced now due to his old age just to really set up that this version of the character might not make it out of the episode alive and this would really have the knock on effect of making the regeneration not feel out of nowhere as it's something that really would have been set up as a possibility in the first place instead of having it really just come out nowhere in the final moments of the final episode of this serial.

Not only did this episode introduce the idea of regeneration but it also introduced the Cybermen as villains. With them not really being that creepy looking in this episode but that does make as outside of The Daleks the show never really nailed the look of a villain on there first go but to the episodes credit the Cybermen have a robotic voice which does make them really creepy sounding but even with that going for them they don't have a good plan which does hinder them from being good villains in this episode as there plan hinges on The Doctor working with them which is never going to work and as a result of that it makes them look dumb as he's course not going to work with the people that are trying to blow up a planet that's full to the brim with innocent people which is a shame as there plan is a solid plan it just needs a bit more refining in order to make it work in a way that will them both smarter and scarier then what this episode makes them out to be.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this episodes grand total running time even was I do know that for a fact that this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty minuets. With this episode being four four episodes long with only episode being animated but this story really could have been done with being at the very least five or six episodes just to really give the story time to breathe and it would give us the chance to really see what the Cybermen can do which is something that the episode can't do with a shorter episode count because as things stand the plot does feel rushed as it has to get to the next plot point really quickly which is something that just wouldn't be the case if the serial was around six episodes in length but I will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. As we do get one action scene that's near the end of episode four which was really well done especially for the time that was episode was originally produced as classic Doctor Who especially the William Hartnell era of the show never really had that much action in it and yet the action that we got in this episode was really good with the show doing a good job of showing all of the creative ways that these original Cybermen can get killed off in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this episode was a great episode in order to send of the first Doctor in what is undoubtedly the most iconic regeneration scene even if The Doctor himself doesn't play a big part in the episode as a whole it's still a really good episode that's a must watch for any self respective Doctor Who fan in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review the official Doctor Who fandom wiki page , Amazon . Co . Worzel Gummidge "Worzel's Wager" Review

Alot of shows especially kids shows have what is more commonly known as special episodes where the show tries to talk about series topics. Well there's an episode of Worzel Gummidge that really should have been a special episode of the show as it does deal with something that does hurt alot of people and yet for some rather odd reason it just wasn't and so then join me as I review the episode that really should have been a special episode of the show with the episode in question being called simply just "Worzel's Wager" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is when Worzel is thrown out of a booking shop for trying to make a bet he tries to make a bet in a race that involves The Crowman's dog Ratter. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad as the episodes plot was a fun plot which really isn't all that new as this shows plots are for the most part at least really good plots with this episodes plot also being a really fun plot for this show to have with this being helped by the fact that the plot for this episode is also really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Jon Pertwee as Worzel Gummidge , Jeremy Austin as John Peters and Charlotte Coleman as Sue Peters. Also starring in this film is Geoffrey Bayldon as The Crowman , Mike Berry as Mr. Peters , Norman Bird as Mr. Braithwaite , Myrtle Devenish as Mrs. Liversage , Steve Gardner as Dougie , Denis Gilmore as Harry , Laurence Harrington as Cyril , Megs Jenkins as Mrs. Braithwaite , Jimmy Jewel as The Betting Office Manager , Frank Marlborough as Atkins , Norman Mitchell as P.C. Parsons and Thorley Walters as Colonel Bloodstock.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that'd actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. Which is really nothing new for this show as this show has always had some really good acting in it with all of the actors in this episode really giving us some truly wonderful performances which is really nothing new given just how good alot of this episodes cast members really are with this really being helped that the episodes script is just so good that all the episodes cast have to do is just simply says the lines as they are written and a really good performance will come out all of them really naturally.

The show usually only shows Worzel getting for lack of a better destroyed once in a given episode and yet in this episode we get it twice. While Worzel being destroyed would usually be the end of the episode or the moment that makes Worzel learn whatever lesson that he's trying to learn that week here the episode continues which does kind of cheapen the impact of having Worzel destroyed as that is a big moment and it should be treated as such with the episode and yet due to the fact that the episode continues on after Worzel gets run over by a combine harvester it kind of felt like that the makers of the show really had no idea how to end the episode as they continue the episode way past when it should have ended with Worzel not really learning anything from his experiences in this episode which does also make this episode feel like it's a pointless episode.

Much like the episode "The Golden Hind" where everybody in the village was suddenly hooked on Fish & Chips. Here they all seemed to hooked on gambling which would lead you to believe that this episode is going to teach kids that gambling is bad and yet for some strange reason the episode doesn't do that and instead it makes gambling seem like a fun pass time for adults to do and while that can indeed be the case it can also be a really dangerous thing to do as people can get very easily hooked on gambling and as a result it can lead people down a dark path and this episode had the chance to do that in it's own way with the end of having Worzel being destroyed being how it could lead you down a dark path and yet because of the fact that the episode doesn't go that route it misses the chance to teach kids a very valuable lesson featuring a character who was at the time very popular and would thus would have had made sense to have Worzel be the one to teach that lesson to kids.

To give this episode credit it does add to the lore of the show by mentioning that there are saint scarecrows in this world. With The Crowman even musing a few times that Worzel himself might very well be one which is something that does track as we do get to see him do nice things not only for The Crowman and his friends but also for the little robin redbreast that leaves in his stomach and also for Aunt Sally someone whom really doesn't like him and yet he does it because it's the right thing to do even tho it might drive The Crowman crazy at times it's still the right thing to do and those are the actions but Worzel being Worzel he does also act really selfish as well which does dispel any notion of Worzel being a saint scarecrow and it does really give us a truly funny scene at the end of this episode as well.

While the episode is to focused on showing us just how good gambling is and could be it's alot of those scenes especially with Worzel at the end. That are some of the must fun part of the episodes as we get to see alot of the shows regular cast just bounce of off each other and because of that we do get alot of really good scenes near the end of the episode with alot of the Whippet Racers and Worzel just trying to place a bet and while those scenes are indeed really fun scenes that are key to the plot of the episode they also hit home the episodes problem of showing us just how good gambling could be instead of showing us the downside of gambling which is something that an episode that's based heavily around gambling should have done and heck you could even have The Betting Office Manage also get his comeuppance as well as he doesn't tell people to stop gambling but rather he just takes there money and that's it all of which combine to make a great "villain" for this episode to have in it.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this episodes running time even was I do know that for a fact that this episode has / had an exact grand total running tie of roughly twenty six minuets. Which is pretty much the bogstanderd running time for this show and to this episodes credit that this episode really does make the most of it's really simple plot with the episode developing it's plot as much as it could have been and while this episode really does have more then enough plot to cover that large amount of running time it would have been just as good if the episode was a bit longer just so we could get more scenes of The Crowman but that would mean stretching the episodes plot even thinner then what it currently is doing but I will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk abut the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With this episode having alot of really funny moments be it from what it is that the characters say or due to the many funny faces that star Jon Pertwee pulls all throughout the episode this episode is a really good example of just how funny this show can be as this is a really funny episode with Jon Pertwee himself oddly getting alot of the episodes jokes just due to how funny he is in not only this episode but in the episode itself in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this episode is on the few episodes of this show that i'd strongly say is a must watch episode as it gives you everything that's great about this show with alot of really great laughs as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and a well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Amazon . Co . Uk , Wikipedia and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from these very episode that I used in this very review being the great Google Images really simply just due to the fact that really quite alot or really of if not all of the images that are really from this episode and are of course really on the great Google Images are all really fairly high in quality and as well as them all being really fairly freaking high in definition.
