Star Wars: Clone Wars 2003 Series Volume One Review

Star Wars fans there has been alot of animated shows set in the Star Wars with some of them being fairly well known. However there was one show that flew under alot of our noses mostly due to the fact that it's episodes didn't run for the standerd twenty two minuets and sadly due to the fact that this show came out seventeen years ago it's largely been forgotten about despite the fact that a few of the shows characters have not only appeared in other animated Star Wars media but with one of them being a main villain in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and so join me as I review volume one of "Star Wars: Clone Wars" enjoy.

The plot of this volume is Obi-Wan Kenobi leads an assault on the planet Muunilinst home of benefactors of the Separatists meanwhile Anakin who is leading the charge from in space encounters a sith like no other. Plot wise i'd say that this volume is honestly really good and while alot of the story isn't told in dialog it's very easy to pick up what the plot is because of how good the visual storytelling is and it helps that the plot is honestly so freaking good that it could have very easily have been the plot for it's own Star Wars live action feature film that's how good the plot of this volume is in my very humble opinion.

Now then just for the sake of my own sanity i'm not going to be listing every single actor who's in this volume because if I did that then i'd be here until at least Christmas Day 2021. As such starring in this volume is Mat Lucas as Anakin Skywalker , James Arnold Taylor as Obi-Wan Kenobi , Tom Kane as Yoda , Anthony Daniels as C-3PO , Corey Burton as Count Dooku and San Hill and Grey Griffin as Asajj Ventress and Padmé Amidala.

In terms of what I thought about the acting in the volume is honestly really freaking good which is shocking since like I said there's not that much dialog in this volume. Considering that there's not alot of dialog in this volume the acting is so freaking (yes I know I just said) all of the actors in in this volume give truly good performances s much so that some of them would reprise their roles in not only The Clone Wars but also Star Wars Rebels as well.

Doing the animation for this volume and i'm assuming volume two is Rough Draft Korea who are perhaps most well known for doing the animation for The Simpsons. Thee animation in this film is so freaking good I honestly had no idea what to expect from this volume since I only watched one maybe two episodes back when the show was first airing and so I was honestly blown away by how good the animation like the animation seen in this volume could have been put in a movie and I wouldn't tell the difference because that's how good the animation in this volume is in my opinion.

Now this is something that I honestly didn't know and that's the fact that the characters of General Grievous (who in this volume is played by John DiMaggio) and Asajj Ventress (played by the super talented Grey Griffin) started out on this show. I honestly assumed that Asajj Ventress started out on The Clone Wars just because that's the first thing I saw that character in ad I assumed that General Grievous first appeared in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith because once again that was the first thing that i'd seen that character in and so it was honestly shocking to me to see that they first appeared on this little known show.

However that goes to show you how good George Lucas is at world building and interconnectivity since you have a character like General Grievous starting life on this show and then all throughout this show and The Clone Wars we get to see more of the character and then in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith we see his death. The same thing can also be said for Asajj Ventress since this show is basically her origin and over the course of not only this show but all of the other Star Wars media that she's in we get to see her grow as a character it's a shame that the Kathleen Kennedy doesn't take this same approach by having characters from TV shows appear in the movies since it's a great way to expand upon the world of Star Wars and expand your story telling because then you'll have people wanting to make stories about the character and at the end of the day that is always going to be a good thing.

One of the things that I wasn't expecting this volume to deal with was Anakin's anger since we all know that anger is a path to the dark side I had just assumed that the show wouldn't address it because this show is made for little kids and with little kids in mind. However not only do they address Anakin's anger they also have an entire episode dedicated to it and show him feeling some form of remorse at the end of the episode that really is above and beyond what they could have done and to me it shows that this show's creator , writer and director Genndy Tartakovsky is a true Star Wars fan because only a true fan of Star Wars would include something like having an episode dealing with Anakin's anger and have him show remorse for his actions in not only this episode but the entire first volume.

Now there is one thing that I didn't like with this volume and that's the fact that the volumes total running time is one hour and six minuets and forty two seconds. I say that this is an issue because all of the episodes start to feel the same and because of that this volume can feel boring at times but sadly this is what you get when you edit what was meant to be seen as individual episodes into a one hour and six minuet and forty two second compilation film.

Now then since this is an action show that means that I have to talk about the action that's in this volume. In all honesty the action in this volume is alot better then what I thought that it would have been , I was honestly expecting the action in this show to be pretty bad but no the action was honestly really entertaining and not only that the action was honestly pretty creative and honestly brutal since you see the characters actually struggle to beat their enemy which is honestly something that I don't think we've seen in Star Wars before but there's a chance that I could be wrong tho.

Overall while volume one only has the shows first two seasons those two seasons are honestly worth watching because of how good they are. Like I said in this review this volume isn't perfect and I do expect this issue to pop up in volume two but at the same time this was alot of fun to watch as such this volume gets a 9.5 out of 10 from me and as for where I got the images that I used in this review from well I got them from Amazon UK and the official Star Wars fandom wiki page which is called Wookieepedia and the due to the fact that the overall majority of the images that I used in this review came from the official Star Wars fandom wiki page I have no choice but t recommend that you use the official Star Wars fandom wiki page just due to the fact that the images on the official Star Wars fandom wiki page are honestly really high quality.

The Muppets 2015 TV Series "Pig Girls Don't Cry" Review

The Muppets is a brand that will never go away they will always some form of product good to go be it a new film a TV show or whatever there will always be something to do with The Muppets. However there seems to be one Muppets show that alot of people forgot about myself include and that's there 2015 workplace comedy show called The Muppets and so here is my review of that shows first episode with the episode itself being called "Pig Girls Don't Cry" and once again the show is called "The Muppets" enjoy the review everyone.

The plot of the episode is Kermit has booked Elizabeth Banks as a guest for Miss Piggy's late night talk show called "Up Late With Miss Piggy" the only issue is Miss Piggy doesn't like Elizabeth Banks and Fozzie Bear trys to win over his human girlfriends parents. In all honesty the plot wasn't that bad it's exactly the kind of plot that you would expect from a workplace comedy starring The Muppets but at the same time the plot isn't as good as it could have been in my opinion.

Starring in this episode is Steve Whitmire as Kermit the Frog , Rizzo The Rat , Beaker , Statler and Lips and Eric Jacobson as Miss Piggy , Fozzie Bear , Sam The Eagle and Animal. Also starring in this episode is David Rudman as Scooter and Janice , Matt Vogel as Uncle Deadly , Floyd Pepper and Sweetums , Julianne Buescher as Denise and Yolanda Rat , Dave Goelz as Gonzo , Dr. Bunsen Honeydew , Waldorf , Zoot and Chip , Riki Lindhome as Becky , Tom Bergeron as Himself , Imagine Dragons as Themselves and the writer / director / producer and one of the stars of Charlies Angels 2019 Elizabeth Banks as Herself.

In terms of what I thought about thee acting in this episode it honestly wasn't that bad all of the muppet performers do a solid job which given that alot of these actors have been playing these roles for decades at this point shouldn't come as a surprise. As for the human actors they do a solid but I honestly feel that there performances would have been better if they took the Michael Cain approach and treated this show like it was an OSCAR worthy film and pretend that there co-stars weren't muppets but that's just what I think anyways.

This show is the one where they broke up Miss Piggy and Kermit and I have to say that I kind of like the character that they paired Kermit up with for most of the show. Denise (who is the character that they paired Kermit up with the vast majority of this shows run) is the complete opposite of Miss Piggy which kind of makes her a good fit for Kermit but at the same time i'm always going to prefer Missy Piggy and Kermit over Denise and Kermit.

Simply because we've had decades to get to know Missy Piggy and to see what she and Kermit are like together. Where as with Denise she and Kermit break up during this show and she's not been seen since and so i'm of course going to go with the pairing that we've had for decades because that pairing just works and while it is interesting seeing Kermit with another girl friend nothing is ever going to top Miss Piggy and Kermit in my opinion.

Honestly I like alot of the jobs that they gave the muppet characters in this show with Gonzo being the main writer for Up Late With Miss Piggy and Kermit serving as the executive producer for Up Late With Miss Piggy. What I don't get is why didn't they make Fozzie the main writer for Up Late With Miss Piggy since his whole thing is telling bad jokes which is exactly what Gonzo is pitching in this episode.

From what I can gather this show got very mixed results not only from critics but also from fans of The Muppets. I myself thought that the show was good when I first watched the episodes as they were being aired back in 2015. However now five years later and having seen better media related to The Muppets I gave to say that this show isn't that good but it's not also not that bad either since it does keep the spirit of the original characters intact and it does something new by making this more of an adult type of show.

This episode had a running time of twenty one minuets and twenty six seconds which I honestly felt was about right. Since even with both of the plots of this episode there's not really enough there to warrant anything even close to thirty minuets as such I do feel that twenty one minuets and twenty six seconds was the perfect amount of time for this episode since it meant that every scene had to be about advancing both plots of this episode (which i've mentioned right back at the start of this review) and that meant that no scene felt like filler or at least that's what I think about this episodes running time anyways.

Now then boys and girls since this is a comedy that does mean that I have to talk about the jokes that are in this episode. Honestly I thought that the jokes in this episode were rather hit and miss since while Scooter getting into a fight Elizabeth Banks was funny some of the Staler And Waldorf stuff wasn't that funny and alot of this episode has jokes like that since for every funny joke the episode has it very quickly follows it up with an unfunny joke.

Overall this was a really funny episode or at least in some parts it was a really funny episode since yeah as i've mentioned in this review the episode does have some faults. However the show does have alot of going for it and I liked the fact that it took the more mature route with these characters since it's an angle that hasn't been done before and don't worry if you forgot about this show because it only lasted one season lasting sixteen episodes with the first episode airing on September 22nd 2015 and the final episode airing on March 1st 2016 as for my rating for this episode it gets a 6 out of 10 from me.

As for where I got the images that I used in this well the images that I used in this review were gathered from the official The Muppets fandom wiki page. Since I only went to one website for the images that I used in this review I have no choice but to recommend that you use the official The Muppets fandom wiki page if you want any images regarding The Muppets since alot of the images on the official The Muppets fandom wiki page are very high definition which if your like me you'll know is always a good thing when your making a review.

We Wish You A Turtle Christmas Review

Oh boy well i've finally done it i've found what I think is the worst if not one of the worst products that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have starred in and this is one of if not the worst Christmas special ever made. I've been putting of watching this special for years now and quite frankly I wish that i'd put it off some more because yeah this special is just as bad as everyone says it is and so join me as I review "We Wish You A Turtle Christmas" enjoy.

The plot for this special is that the turtles have forgotten to buy a Christmas present for Splinter and so have to go shopping for his Christmas Present on Christmas Eve. The plot is the first thing that's wrong with the special because when I think of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I think of a fun heart pounding story the plot for this special however is just an excuse to get from poorly done song to the next and nothing more but I will say that they do a somewhat solid job of telling this story just not that much of a good job in my opinion.

Starring in this terribly freaking special is Eric Anzalone )who is credited in the special as James Eric Anzalone) Raphael and Alfredo Miller as Michaelangelo. Also starring in this freaking terrible special is Florence Reymond as Donatello , Ronn K. Smith as Leonardo and Jack William Scott as Splinter. This isn't a case of me cutting the cast list down as I normally would these four actors are the only actors in the whole special and yes they do have a bunch of kids but since the kids don't say anything in the special it wouldn't be right to include them in this cast list.

How do I put this nicely the acting in this special is so bad that it makes the acting in the Michael Bay produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles seem OSCAR worthy by comparison. To be fair the actors playing the turtles aren't really allowed to much with their characters since the script is so bad that it distills the characters to one personality trait and that just isn't enough for the actors to turn in anything more then a good performance.

In the nineties for some reason the turtles where everywhere appearing not only in theatrically released live action movies but of course there animated show , comic book and video games. However they also appeared in quite alot of weird things as well like the Coming of Of Their Shells Tour and the Getting Down In Your Town Tour as well as a video designed to teach kids about alternate transportation methods and and a video designed to introduce children to the concept and importance of caretaking of the America's or whatever country you live in's natural resources and heritage sites.

Yeah bottom line the turtles where everywhere with all of their strange media appearances diminishing the brand name even more. I get that the turtles where popular as hell back in the nineties but that doesn't mean that they have to be on the front of every product or video and what's alot of these other media appearances even more strange is that for a few of them at least they got the voices from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1987 animated series to reprise their roles.

I cannot find the words to describe to you how bad the turtles look in this film but I honestly feel that these turtle suits are what Freddy Krueger was having a nightmare about in the Dream Warriors music video which for those that don't know the song dream warriors was performed by the band Dokken. Since yeah they look freaking terrible and very cheaply made hell in alot of the shots in this special you can actually see where the head for the suit ends and alot of the time the mouth don't freaking work properly.

Usually you can very easily tell who Leonardo is and who Donatello is but for some reason in this special the purple that thy have for Donatello's headband comes out blue in some shots. As such you can't really tell them apart which is a really big issue considering you have to spend an entire special with them and so you don't want to spending half the specials running time wondering who is Leonardo and who is Donatello.

Thankfully this special isn't that long since it only has a total running time of twenty one minuets and forty three seconds. However even tho this is the a solid running time for any Christmas special for this special it's a bit to long of a running time since the whole plot of them trying to get a gift for Splinter is done with by the fifteen minuet mark and that's with all the songs that they shoehorn in to this special as such i do feel that this special should have been alot shorter like ten or fifteen minuets at the most since there's not alot of plot to cover twenty one minuets and forty three seconds.

Believe it or not this is a musical because when you think of Teenage Age Mutant Ninja Turtles you totally think of musicals not action or comedy it's the musical numbers that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise is known for. The songs for this special are written by the this special's writer Tish Rabe as well as the composer for this special Richard Berg and honestly all of the songs are bad there's not one good song just so you know there's eight songs in this special and not one of them are good it takes talent to make a special full of bad songs and all the songs are remakes over copyright free Christmas songs but given that this budget had a budget of i'm not kidding $5,000 American dollars I can't blame them for going with songs that you can use for free.

Overall do i really need to say how bad this special is because it's so freaking bad usually i'd say don't believe what other people are saying and form your opinion but in this case I have to say believe what everyone who has seen this special has said because it's that bad. Even the very few redeeming qualities are only good when you compare them to literally anything else in the special as such this special gets a 1 out of 10 from me.

All of the images that I used for this review were gathered from Google Images and while I did look at the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fandom wiki page for images I decided to get all the images from Google Images. This was because even tho this special doesn't deserve high quality images all of the images of the special on the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fandom wiki page just weren't high definition where as the the ones on Google Images were high definition and yes I will cover the other more bizarre pieces of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles media if you guys really freaking want me to.

Thor: Tales Of Asgard Film Review

Marvel fans the company very rarely turns out animated films but there was a time in the mid 2000's to early 2010.s when they managed to release quite a few animated feature films. As such i'm possibly dedicating the next few days to reviewing a few of those films and and to make things interesting both films are going to be films that i've never seen before and so to start us of we have the 2011 direct to DVD animated film "Thor: Tales of Asgard" enjoy.

The plot of the film is a young Thor and Loki sneak away with the warriors three to find a legendary lost sword. I'll admit that the plot of the film is honestly not what I expected it to be since this is a film featuring younger versions of Thor and Loki I assumed that this would be an origin story for the two and while there are elements of that sprinkled throughout the film the actual main storyline is something that felt kind of refreshing and the story itself is honestly pretty well told in my own very humble opinion.

Starring in the film is Matthew Wolf as Thor , Rick Gomez as Loki , Christopher Britton as Odin and Paul Dobson as Hogun. Also starring in the film is Brian Drummond as Fenris , Cathy Weseluck as Brunnhilde , Michael Dobson as Geirmarr , John Novak as Thrym , Clancy Brown as The Frost Giants , Grey Griffin as The Enchantress and the always great in everything and always stunning Tara Strong as Sif.

As for what I thought about the acting in the film it honestly wasn't that bad with all of the actors giving really good performances altho for some reason both Thor and Loki are given thick British accents which is just weird but both of their actors Matthew Wolf (Thor) and Rick Gomez (Loki) do honestly really good British accents in my opinion. For some reason one of the websites that I used while doing research for this review says that both Tara Strong and Grey Griffin have been citied as playing Sif which isn't true at all since all you have to do is watch the end credits and you'll see that it's Tara Strong who's playing Sif in this film.

Doing the animation for this film is MLG Productions who have produced all of the Marvel animated films at this point however I can't say which ones they did the animation for tho. As for the animation in this film it was passable which was kind of what I was expecting since Marvel animated films don't typically have great animation but to be fair the animation in this film is honestly better then the animation in any of the Marvel Rising films or TV specials or web episodes.

This film technically blends to forms of animation since the characters are done using in traditional 2D animation where as the backgrounds are done using 3D CGI animation. Honestly you can't really tell that there's two different forms of animation being used for this film because the two are blended so well together and I honesty didn't know that there was any kind of CGI in this film let alone all of the backgrounds being done using CGI that's how the CGI backgrounds look because they don't stand out and they look like they were done using traditional 2D animation.

For some reason Marvel chose to release this exactly one week after they released the first live action Thor film which as we all know was called Thor. I don't really know why they chose to do this maybe it's because they wanted to cash in on the success of the live action film but doing that only serves to confuse people if anything they would have been better of waiting until the live action film had finished it's run or was finishing up it's run in cinema's and then release this film but that's just what i'd do if I was in charge at Marvel.

Like I said this does have moments of being an origin story like for example you see Thor use a hammer for the first time and you see Loki practising his magic. However those are really the only two moments that spring to mind since the film is more focused on doing what any good film should be focused on and that's telling a good story however with that said I would have liked it if they did put in more origin story moments even if they are included as a joke jus because they would have been fun little thing for fans of the live action film version of Thor to see as well as comic book fans but that's just what I think tho.

This film has a running time of one hour and sixteen minuets and fifty seven seconds so let's round that up to one hour and seventeen minuets. Which for me personally felt about right for this film simply because this film doesn't have enough story to cover anything longer and if they did try and make the film any near an hour and a half all it would do is stretch out what is already a pretty thin story and that in turn would do more harm then it would good.

What really bugged me about this film is that the film tries to shoehorn in this romance between Thor and Sif and not only is it out of place with the rest of the film but it also adds nothing to the film whatsoever. You pull out all of the scenes that are hinting at a romance between the two and nothing regarding the plot of the film changes everything still plays out the exact same which to me says that this romance is badly written because a romance that is written would have some kind of impact on either the plot or the characters and the romance in this film does neither since both Thor and Sif aren't impacted by those scenes at all and as i've said the story of the film doesn't change with the romance scenes in it.

Now then boys and girls this is an action film and so that means that I have to talk about the action that's in the film itself. Which honestly wasn't that bad and if i'm being honest the action is where the animation rightfully shines the best because each of the many action sequences in this film are not only so different from each other so you won't confuse any of the action sequences in this film but there also very well animated with each punch leaping of the screen.

Overall I have very mixed feelings about since for everything that I liked about the film I found something that I didn't like about the film. Like I said bin this review the film's story wasn't what I expected but at the same time given that we're seeing a young Thor and Loki delving into their origin would have made sense but when this gets it right it really does get it right and so this film gets a 5 out of 10 from me.

All of the images that I used in this review were gathered from either the official Marvel fandom wiki page , the official Marvel Animated Universe fandom wiki page , Google Images and the official Marvel Cinematic Universe Fandom wiki page. Since I got the overall majority of the images that I used in this review from the official Marvel Animated Universe fandom wiki page I have no choice but to recommend that you use the official Marvel Animated Universe fandom wiki page just because there are alot images not only for this film but for a lot of the animated Marvel stuff that Marvel have put out.

My Top 10 Marvel Cinematic Universe Films

Ladies and gentlemen this year marks the first year since the late 2000's where there hasn't been a new film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is a list that I really haven't thought about that much and so I can't really say how well this post will turn out and just for some ground rules i'm only counting the films that i've seen quite alot of just because i'm a forgetful person and so it wouldn't make sense for me to include films that i've forgotten about and the films have to have been released so no upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe films will be counted for obvious reasons and so anyways enjoy the post everyone.

10) Captain Marvel

If anything this film should have been a home run for Marvel since they were not long gone of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame was there next film to be released. However what we ended up with was something that was more bothered with shoving politics down our throats then giving us a hero that we can care about which for your first solo is something that should have been a top priority and it doesn't help that the writing for not only the character of Carol Danvers but the film as a whole was really bad with the film telling us to care about Carol and telling us that she has emotions instead of giving us a reason to care about her and showing us her emotions.

9) Ani-Man

For me personally this film didn't live up to it's potential because it had all the potential to be one of the greatest Marvel Cinematic Universe films but for some reason it just couldn't live up to it. Which might be why the film just wasn't that good for me personally and hell for years this was my first Marvel Cinematic Universe film but over time I have slowly warmed to the film but it's taken years for that me to even start to warm up to the film and so who knows in five years time this might crack my own personal top 10 Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

8) Iron Man 3

This film tired to fix something that wasn't broken the formular for the Marvel Cinematic Universe worked and yet this film tried to be darker. Which for the character of Tony Stark and everything that he went throw in the first The Avengers / Avengers Assemble makes alot of sense but it doesn't make sense for every character to act and behave how Tony is acting and behaving I give the makers of the film credit for trying something new but that something new has to also make alot of sense which sadly isn't the case here.

7) Thor

Now just like with Ant-Man I'm slowly warming up to this film and hell out of all of the great Phase One films this is one of the better ones. However with that said this film could have been alot better like they could have developed the romance between Thor and Jane alot better as well as better establish the friendship between Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgård) and Thor but as it is the film can't go any higher then number 7 om this list.

6) Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Don't worry guys and girls we get into the much better films after this one because the reason why this film is as low down as it is. Is because it suffers from having a director having to much control over the film and because of that there are alot of things that while they would go onto have bigger roles in future Marvel Cinematic Universe here they don't add up to anything which is a shame because two of characters introduced in this film will be starring in a Disney+ called Wandavision which starts streaming this January.

5) Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

So far the only sequel to Guardians Of The Galaxy this film did a good job of advancing the characters as well their relationship with not only each other but also the supporting cast from the previous film. What also works well in my opinion are the films more emotional moments and those work because we've had a whole film up until this point to get to know these characters and to care about them and so when something heartbreaking happens to these characters we really do feel it.

4) The Avengers / Avengers Assemble

This film did the impossible for comic book movies because it proved that not only can an entire cinematic universe work but it all proved that a team up / crossover movie can also work. What makes this film work is the characters because it's so much fun seeing these characters with conflicting personalities work of each other so well and the same is also true for Avengers: Age of Ultron and it goes to show that writer and director Joss Weadon really knows these characters inside and out or in my opinion it does anyways.

3) Avengers: Infinity War

This film had so many characters from previous films in it literally all of the heroes from the previous films are in this film and Avengers: Endgame. As such no one would have blamed this film if it crumbled under it's own pressure but not only did it not crumble under all of that pressure but it thrived because of all the characters that are in this film we get to see alot of fun and new combinations and team ups which help make the film 3ven more enjoyable then it already is in my opinion.

2) Guardians Of The Galaxy

The closest film that I can compare this film to is Star Wars: A New Hope because like that film this film was a huge risk for Marvel Studios and Disney. Since no one part from a small select group of die hard comic book fans knew about Guardians Of The Galaxy and so giving them a film didn't really make sense but it's film that works and it works due to how well written the film is and how well written the characters are and it helps that the film doesn't take itself to seriously either with there being plenty of laugh out loud moments all of which make the film more fun in my opinion.

1) Avengers: Endgame

Take everything I just said about Guardians Of The Galaxy and apply it to this film because while all of the characters were really well known at this point. It was still a fantastic film and hell even before this film came out my all time favourite Marvel Cinematic Universe film was Guardians Of The Galaxy but this film just blew me away with how good it is and how shocking and heartbreaking and uplifting the film is as well.

All of the mages and I do mean all of the images that I used in this post were gathered from the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page. Since i only used one website to get all of these images I have no choice but to recommend tat you use the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page due to the fact that all of the images on that website are really high definition which for me at least when i'm making a post is a very important thing.

Bayonetta: Bloody Fate Dubbed Film Review

Anime fans it's been a very long time since I last posted anything to do with anime and well I think i've found something that not alot of people let alone anime fans will know about. This is a film that i've been thinking of reviewing for a few days now and while I did come close to reviewing it yesterday I had issues logging on to my laptop which meant I had to put of the review until today and so here is my review of the 2013 anime film "Bayonetta: Bloody Fate" enjoy.

Now I would tell you the full plot at this point as well as give you my thoughts on the plot but from what I can tell this film seems to be about Bayonetta discovering her past. Which really isn't alot to base a ninety plus movie on and I say that that might be the plot because the actual story is so hard to work out which for this kind of film is not a really good thing even more so when you take into account that the story is wafer thin that it might as well not even be there.

Starring in the film is Helena Taylor as Bayonetta and Rosa , Dave Fennoy as Rodin and Grant Albrecht as Balder. Also starring is Grey DeLisle aka Grey Griffin as Jeanne , John Kassir as Enzo , Joy Jillian as Cereza , Richard Epcar as The Narrator and Yuri Lowenthal as Luka. As you can no doubt work out by the names that i've listed in this review i'm basing this review of the dubbed version simply because out of the two times i've seen this film I was watching the dubbed version of the film both times and so to me it would be weird if I suddenly watched the subtitled version of the film.

In all honesty the acting in this film wasn't that bad which given some of the actors who are in this film shouldn't come as a shock to anyone. I honestly went into this film not really knowing what to expect when it came to the acting but I was honestly surprised to see that the acting was really good with all of the actors involved truly becoming whatever character they were playing and hell I believe all of the cast went on to voice the same characters in future games in the Bayonetta game series with Helena Taylor being the only actor from the games to reprise their role for this film.

Doing the animation for this film is GONZO whose previous credits include the Final Fantasy: Unlimited TV anime series. The animation in this film was honestly for me pretty average with some shots looking really good and the characters having nice fluid movements but then there are shots that don't look as good which overall makes the film look really cheap which for a feature film should never be the case whatsoever in my opinion.

This film is based on the 2009 video game Bayonetta which was made by PlatinumGames and was published by Saga. I'm one of the few people who hasn't played any of the Bayonetta games and so I can't really say if this is a faithful adaptation of the games or not but as a film on it's own it can seem pretty boring and I'll get more into why it's boring later on in the review but if the film is anything like the games then i'm not really tempted to check out any of the games.

To me what makes this film boring is it's lack of story and because of the fact that there's very little story in the film there was no reason at all for me to stay engaged over what's going on on screen. This is huge issue since any film should want you to be engaged and when the film doesn't do that then for me it's a huge red flag because it says the film makers didn't care enough to craft a good story let alone one that's worthy of being in a feature length film.

Adding to this is the fact that the characters have no character development where the characters ends the movie s the same place that they started the film. This is something that you see in alot of bad movies and it's something that needs to stop it's not enough to have an interesting character your audience has to care for the character and care about what development they get and when you don't give the character any any kind of development big or small then all you left with is a character that while interesting is still a character that the audience doesn't care about simply due to the fact that you are not giving the audience a reason to care about the character at all.

Honestly out of all the characters in this film the only one that I came close liking was Bayonetta herself. Which even then isn't really a high bar to reach since all of the characters in this aren't really likeable even the characters who are meant to be the good guys nine times out of ten are unlikeable which is a bit of problem since you are meant to root for the main character but at the same time your also meant to like the main characters supporting cast as well.

This film has a running time of one hour and thirty minuets and eleven seconds which in this case is a really good thing. Since it means that you don't have to watch this fairly bad film for long and at the same time this running time really does feel about right for a film like Bayonetta: Bloody Fate and honestly anything over the one hour and thirty minuet running time would make the issues with the film seem even bigger in my opinion.

Now then boys and girls this is an action film after all and that means that I have to talk about the action that's in the film itself. Which in my opinion is where this film shines best since this film is pretty stupid and so having insane action sequences with the characters doing these insane stunts makes the movie more entertaining in my opinion and honestly there's nothing wrong with having over the top action sequences since they make the film more fun to watch or at least I think so anyways.

Overall the best word that I use to describe this film is average because for every good thing there is about the film there are just as many bad things about the film. While this film might have been made for fans of the game which oddly makes sense they don't do enough to make the film good on it's own merit as such this film gets a 5 out of 10 from me and as for where I got the images that I used in this review well I got them from the official Bayonetta fandom wiki page which I do highly recommend for images regarding anything to do with Bayonetta since the images are really high quality.

The Mandalorian "Chapter 13" SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review

Star Wars fans you all thought that I forgot about covering The Mandalorian season two didn't you will truth be told I just wanted a weeks rest from the show and covering the show. However i'm back now and my god what an episode to come back to just to give you an idea of how big the spoiler is in this episode I can't even put the full name of the episode in the title because it's a spoiler and i've had to make this a SPOILER filled review just to cover alot of the things that I want to talk about and so join me as I review the latest episode from The Mandalorian season two called "Chapter 13: *** ****" enjoy.

The plot of the episode is The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda land on a planet and have to help the local villagers on the planet escape the reign of an evil magistrate (I have no idea what that is either) all with the help of a new ally. I can't really go into that much detail about what I think of the plot because of spoilers but without giving to much away I thought that the story was honestly really good which for this show is really nothing new.

Now because one of the actors who appears in this episode is huge spoiler I can't list them or even who there playing. As such starring in this episode is of course series star Pedro Pascal as The Mandalorian , Michael Biehn as Lang , Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth and Wing Tao Chao as Wing. There is one more name that like I said I cannot list because both who it is and who there playing is a huge spoiler but let's just say SJW's won't be happy and yes I did try and think of a way to include this person and who there playing but I couldn't think of any good way to include them in this part of the review tho.

As for what I thought about the acting in this episode as per-usual with this show the acting was honestly really freaking good. I don't think i've seen a single episode of this show that's had bad acting in it which just goes to show you how good this show is because it has good acting in every single episode which is something that even the best TV shows don't do and no one would blame this show if they had an episode that had bad acting since it's only naturel for a TV show to have at least one episode per-season that's badly acted.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now then boys and girls as you can quite clearly see we are now in the spoiler part of the review which means that I can finally list the other actor in this episode. Since the other actor in this episode is Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano and I have to say bravo because that right there is perfect casting and honestly the fact that Ahsoka is in this episode was the only reason why I made this review a spoiler filled one because I just knew that I would have to talk about Ahsoka in this episode.

They really got the look of Ahsoka down freaking perfectly in this episode no joke before I watched the episode I went online and I saw pictures from this episode and I couldn't tell that they were from this episode. Due to the fact that Ahsoka looks so much like her animated counterpart it's unreal even the above picture which is from this episode to me looks like it could from either Rebels or The Clone Wars because Ahsoka in this episode looks so freaking good.

Now even tho this is the spoiler part of the review there is one shout out that I want to keep hidden just due to how cool it is. However I will say that the villain of this episode Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) has a connection to certain blue skinned Grand Admiral and if the makers of this show want to they can very easily answer a question set up at the end of Star Wars Rebels just by having this blue skinned Grand Admiral come back.

We can stop calling Baby Yoda Baby Yoda because it has a name now and that name is Grogu and while i''m glad that Baby Yoda finally has a name I think that alot of us if not all of us either in the Star Wars fandom or not are going to keep on referring to him as Baby Yoda. Plus to me at least his name sounds so much like Goku that at times during this episode I couldn't hear the difference between Grogu and Goku.

Ahsoka is so freaking bada*s in this episode she gets alot of time to show her skills and I have to say that I loved Ahsoka in this episode due to how bada*s she is in this episode. To me Ahsoka and Cara Dune are two examples of how great the women characters in this Disney era of Star Wars can be and in my opinion both them plus Hera ad Sabine are better all round characters then Rey can ever hope to be because all of them are characters that have flaws and that have personalities and aren't there to shove a political message down our throats.

SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This episode has a running time of forty four minuets and forty five seconds long which to me was a tad on the long side for me personally. I say this just because the episode doesn't really have enough story to cover that long of a running time if anything this story should have been at least thirty five minuets long just because the episode doesn't have enough time to cover anything longer then thirty five minuets in my opinion.

Now then boys and girls there was some action in this episode and so that means that I have to talk about the action that's in the episode. Which to me was honestly fairly average just because we don't get to see anything new when it comes to the action and since we are back to being spoiler free there is a character in this episode who does gets a pretty cool action scenes both at the start of the episode and at the end of the episode which I honestly really liked but overall the action in the episode is stuff that we've all seen before in other movies and TV shows.

Overall to say that this episode was good would be a huge understatement and to say that I liked this episode would be an even bigger understatement. Yes there are some faults in this episode like for example there's a few dodgy looking CGI shots plus what I said in this review but there also alot of good things in the episode like what i've discussed in this very review as such this episode gets a 9 out of 10 from me.

All of the images that I used in this review were gathered from the official The Mandalorian fandom wiki page , the official Star Wars fandom wiki page or Google Images. When it comes to The Mandalorian I always say that it's best to get the images from the official The Mandalorian fandom wiki page just because there's a more of verity of images however in this case I think it's best to get the images from this episode from the official Star Wars fandom wiki page just because alot of the images on there are very high quality.
