My Thoughts On My Little Pony: The Movie Trailer 2 And What Are My Hopes For The Movie

Hello there Pony fans we are just under a month away from seeing the ponies hit the big screen and since there was a new trailer dropped recently i thought i'd do a couple of things give you my thoughts on that trailer and then tell you what are my hopes for the movie.

Ok wow that was a good solid trailer i found it refreshing that it didn't give away to much of the plot beyond of course what we already know so that was fun i would say that the animation is great but since this is a second trailer i just won't bother. If you watched the Facebook live stream like i did then you might have noticed  that they told you why the ponies are in Equestria so they gave you some of the plot and you might have missed it.

We also got a bit of confirmation that Princess Cadence will be at least making a cameo why she would be so far from the crystal empire is anyone's guess but it's still nice to see her altho i couldn't help but notice that there was no Shining Armour or the baby and best character in this trailer is easily rarity she got all the best scenes this time round.

Now that trailer talk is out of the way lets move on to the movie and what i hope for it. I hope that this movie is first of all good which judging of these two trailers it will be but a trailer can be misleading. I also think that even for MLP the plot should make some kind of sense i don't want things don't make sense in terms of the plot to happen just because it's a kids film using the excuse "it's a kids film" for me won't cut it the plot has to make sense.

Another thing i hope they don't do is i hope they don't have a moment in the film where the Mane 6 so there separate ways because we know that won't last long because A) there's still a movie to finish and B) season 8 is already in the works so having a moment like that would just feel cheap and pointless because of those two reasons.

The final thing i hope for the movie is apart from it being a hit i hope the movie makes people who think the franchise is just for girls now think the complete opposite but that second one more of a long shot really but as any male pony fan or any grown up fan will tell you Friendship Is Magic.

Overall that was what i thought of the new trailer and what my personal hopes for the movie are please let me know what your thoughts for the movie are and what you thought of the second trailer down below.

Victoria "Warp and Weft" Review

Sorry for this late review but here we are with episode three of series 2 of the hit British TV series Victoria and there might not be a review of next weeks episode since i'll be on holiday so here we go with this weeks episode.

The plot of this weeks episode was The Queen decides to throw another ball and receives some devastating news.I have to say that this weeks episode was the best of the series so far and i loved the plot of the episode as well as for a while it looks like it going one way but then right at the end it hits you in the gut not once but twice.

By now we should all know who's in the series so i won't bother saying who's in the episode but i will say that in the second to end scene Jenna killed it yet again now i wish i could say who i thought was the standout but i i list there name it might give away the ending but i will say that i will miss this character and if you saw the episode then i apologize for the above picture.

Now apart from the two end scenes which i thought were really well done there was two other scenes that i thought were so well done and they both revolve around the ball in some way as well it was how well they mixed the music with what was being seen and in case of the first scene bits of audio as well they were both just well edited.

Prepare the tissues because they will be needed that's really all i can say about the end scenes because there spoilers but trust me you will need them and the ending is so sad even the creator of the show cried that's how good they were.

Overall this was the best episode of the series so far and i cannot wait for next weeks episode i give this weeks episode a solid 9.5 out of 10

My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Magical Movie Night Review

Hello pony fans this a good year to be a pony fan we have the new series currently airing and My Little Pony: The Movie arriving in a months time so to tide us over we kinda have a new Equestria Girls movie called My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Magical Movie Night.

Now i said this is kinda a new movie because it's just the three episode of the Equestria Girls miniseries but it was released on DVD as a movie for some unknown reason but since it's just three episodes i'm not going to make a comment on the overall story since there isn't any but i will say i liked some segments more then others.

The cast for the series returns to play there respective characters and there all really good in this "movie" so i can't really fault them because they've played these characters since 2010 so they know there characters really well but apart from the returning cast debuting in this spin-off franchise is Kelly Sheridan as Starlight Glimmer and even tho she only appears in the third story she's pretty good.

I have to say that the animation in this "movie" wasn't that bad it was consistent with the show which for me was to be expected since that meant there was a lot of nice fluid movement with the characters and the backgrounds looked nice altho some of the characters have really thick lines which does get distracting. Some of the characters also have really nice designs as well with my personal favorite being Starlight Glimmer.

Now since this is a 2010 MLP product you'd think they'd be a song in each of the segments well that's not true since only the first segment features a song and it's the kind of the fluff that little girls would indeed like but i personally didn't like the song at all.

Overall the specials were pretty good but they didn't need to be released as a movie tho that to me was perhaps my biggest peeve about this "movie" and i won't be giving this a ranking but i will say if your looking for something to tide you over until the big screen movie comes out then this is fine.

OK K.O! Let's Be Heroes Review

Well then animation Cartoon network gets a lot of flack for producing bad shows but every once in a while the network brings out something truly worth talking about and well right now that show that's worth talking about is a little show called Ok K.O! Lets Be Heroes.

The basic premise of the series is KO trys to become the world's greatest superhero and the series follows him and his friends as they train to help reach that goal. Now i have to say i'm writing this review after seeing the TKO special so it looks like after that special the series will be adding in another story element which seems interesting.

I have to say that the premise alone made me interested in the show just because  i'd never seen a show where we will be following a group of people training to be heroes and i have to say that after the first six episodes aired i was hooked and now it's a must watch for me.

The series stars both Stephanie Nadolny & Courtenay Taylor as KO , Ashly Burch as Enid , Creator Ian Jones-Quartey as Rad , David Herman as Mr. Gar , Kate Flannery as Carol , Jim Cummings as Lord Boxman and Kari Wahlgren as Shannon. I really like the cast for this show there's a lot of great talent and they all voice more then one character except for JIm so i just chose all the main characters that they play and they play them really well altho i have to admit that i like Courtenay more then i do Stephanie who i thought made KO's voice to raspy for my liking.

Bravo CN because this show has some truly great animation i have no idea where the animation for this series is done but i hope everyone involved gets a good pat on the back because the animation in this show is excellent (who said in Bill & Ted's voice?) everything has nice crisp movements and the shows art style helps make the show very unique.

The show not only includes alot of references to various anime and manga but it also takes alot of visual clues from the anime medium as well you won't spot them if you don't watch anime but if your fan like me you'll see them instantly even the show's intro was animated by Hiroyuki Imaishi who co-founded Studio Trigger.

What i like about this show and what i think sets it apart from other shows in this genre is the fact that the heroes don't always win you see the main characters get beat by there enemy in an episode of the show and even tho this is a superhero show it makes the characters feel more human and that's something that i really like.

While most main heroes in superhero shows are mostly clean cut KO actually isn't like that at all in fact in an episode of the show we see that he fears the darkness that lurks within himself and to me that makes him feel more human and more like a real three dimensional i won't spoil the TKO special in case not alot of people have seen it but let's say something happens to KO.

You may have noticed that i havn't talked about the fight scenes well that's because for this type of show i didn't really feel the need to since there's so much more important stuff going on in the show it self but with that being said the action scenes are really well done.

Overall i highly recommend you go and check out this show right now because trust me it's worth your time and energy for me so far the show is a 9.5 out of 10.

Victoria "The Green-Eyed Monster" Review

Well then fans of British TV and British people here we are yet again with another review of the hit TV series Victoria this time taking a look at The Green-Eyed Monster.

The basic plot of this is without giving anything away Victoria discovers something that will shock her. that's the only bit of plot i could give since anything else would be considered a spoiler but i will say that the thing that get's discovered will have an effect on the rest of this series.

Now of course we have all the regular cast members in this episode and i have to say that Jenna and Tom do a great job as always in the episode and again Diana Rigg is the true standout performer of the episode everything she says and does is brilliant and the episode also introduces us to Tilly Steele who's playing new maid Cleary and i can't say which other cast member comes back because of spoilers.

This film actually featured a few laugh out loud moments which i honestly wasn't expecting from this series but i'm glad they were included since they provided a nice break from all the dramatic moments i won't spoil what the scenes are but i will say that one of them also forms a running joke through out the episode.

I have to admit it was great to see this show tackle the expectations of women in that era it's something not many drama shows dare to look at but due to the premise of the show it was only a matter of time before it commented on this subject but it was still great to see and i'm glad it was present in this episode.

Overall this was a great episode sorry it's so short but there's not really much i can go into without spoiling the episode for me this episode gets a 7.5 out of 10.

Top 5 Cartoons That I Grew Up With

Animation fans everybody loves a good list especially if it's full of great shows which this one will be and this is my own personal list so here we go with some of the shows that i grew up watching.

5) The Simpsons

This is the longest running animated show in history and i'm proud to say that i was watching the show in it's prime there's nothing more i can say about this show except i was an instant fan from the second i saw it.

4) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1980's)

I have to admit i don't recall watching this on TV that much but i do recall watching it on VHS alot of the time and yes the show was goofy but you know what i loved it and clearly alot of people because alot of things introduced in the cartoon still exist in the TMNT lore to this day.

3) South Park

This show is everything Rick & Morty wishes it could be it's smart , it's funny and it has great social commentary whole Rick & Morty is a great show South Park is better and it's made on a weekly basis that takes guts to do something like that.

2) Animaniacs / Pinky And The Brain / Tiny Toon Adventures

I grouped these three together because there all spin offs and there all awesome altho i didn't watch that much of Pinky And The Brain from what i do recall it was a great show and i love Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures so much i still watch them to this day.

1) Looney Tunes

It was always going to be Looney Tunes they've been entertaining people for generations there characters are now so well placed in popular culture that it's hard to think of a time when we didn't know of Bugs , Daffy or Elmer.

Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works 2010 Film Review

Hello anime fans since i saw the TV version of Unlimited Blade Works i thought i'd check out the movie version just to see what it's about and well here's my review of it.

Now i would very much like to summarize the plot of the movie however the plot of the movie is basically a cut down version of the TV show and since that's what it basically is alot of stuff get's cut out character motivations are gone as are key character development scenes in this case i prefer the TV show to the movie since the story was given time to breathe.

Now i'm reviewing the dubbed version of the movie which stars  Michelle Ruff , Liam O'Brien , Mela Lee , Sam Riegel and Tara Platt. The dub cast are actually pretty good i enjoyed Michelle as Saber i thought she sounded really badass and i liked Liam O'Brien as Archer the only cast member who i thought could have done better was Mela Lee just because in the first scene where we meet Rin she has a British accent for some reason but then she doesn't speak with a British accent again for the rest of the movie.

This was the film to be animated by Studio Deen and i have to say that they did a good job with the animation there's a lot of great fluid movements from all the characters you can tell that they had a big budget and you can tell that there was a lot of attention to detail just in the animation alone.

Another thing that looked really good were the action scenes they were just stunning but i have a feeling that since the studio knew they didn't have a story to work with they put all of there effort into making the action scenes look really great and while they did look stunning they should have put more effort into creating a story.

The score for the film was done by Kenji Kawai who did a little known film called Ghost In The Shell and i have to say that his score for this film was pretty good it's not his best by any means but it worked well for this film.

Overall just stick to the TV series it does a better job of telling the story but it does have good animation and a good dub so for me this movie is a 6 out of 10.
