There are so few shows and movies out there that define people's childhoods and appeal to the kid in them all. With oddly enough one of those shows being Phineas And Ferb a show which originally lasted for four seasons and had one TV movie made for the Disney Channel before then being brought back years alter for another movie this time being released straight to Disney+ is now back again this time with brand new episodes airing on both Disney Channel and Disney+ and well then with the first ten episodes of this new season having just released you all knew that I had to check out this first batch of episodes the very first chance that I got and so then join me as I give you SPOILER FILLED review of the first half of season 5 of the show that let's be real here will never really die with the show in question being called simply just "Phineas And Ferb" enjoy.
The plot of this season is one year after having the most amazing summer ever Phineas And Ferb and all of their friends are back with more adventures and more inators. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plots that are actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally tought / felt that the actual plots that are actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad with the show hitting it right out of the back with pretty much all of the episodes plots as all of them have something in them that appeals to both kids and adults alike something which the original show also did and because of that while alot of the shows plots can seen as being pretty wacky and out there that's part of the charm of the show and it's something that hasn't been lost in this new season when it very easily could have been with the best plot going to the first episode which without giving away two much is kind of a two parter but it's also something that does feel worthy enough of being a two part episode in it's own right and it's something that really does set this season of the show off on the best foot and while alot of the seasons plots do seem more lighthearted in nature as is the case with the show those that are brave and bold enough to go to those more extreme places more often then not are the better episodes with all of this seasons episodes having alot of really fun filled plots with the plot of this season also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this show is Vincent Martella as Phineas Flynn , Ashley Tisdale as Candace Flynn and David Errigo Jr. as Ferb Fletcher. Also starring in this show is Caroline Rhea as Linda Flynn-Fletcher , Richard O'Brien as Lawrence Fletcher , Dee Bradley Baker as Perry The Platypus , Alyson Stoner as Isabella Garcia-Shapiro , Bobby Gaylor as Buford Van Stomm , Maulik Pancholy as Baljeet Tjinder , this shows co-creator Dan Povenmire as Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz , this shows co-creator Jeff "Swampy" Marsh as Major Francis Monogram , Tyler Alexander Mann as Carl Karl , Seth Green as Monty Monogram , Kelly Hu as Stacy Hirano , Olivia Olson as Vanessa Doofenshmirtz , Madison Pettis as Adyson , Isabella Acres as Katie , Isabella Murad as Milly , Diamond White as Holly , Michaela Zee as Ginger , Meira Blinkoff as Melissa , Ariel Winter as Gretchen , Alan Cumming as The Haberdasher and Lake Bell as Katherine Marshall.
Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty really good. With alot of the original shows main actors even coming back to reprise their roles in this new season barring one or two with the big one of course of course being Mitchel Musso as Jeremy Johnson with the actor choosing not to reprise the role and the character now being voiced by an unnamed actor with all of the performances in this new season being really good which is something that's to be expected as alot of them had been playing there roles since the very beginning of the show and therefor they would of course no how best to perform there respective characters and while Thomas Brodie-Sangster will always make for a great Ferb here David Errigo Jr. does a decent enough job with the role which is something that does make sense as he has been playing the role since 2016 with there not really being a true standout performer in these first batch of episodes as nearly all of them do do the best job that they possibly could have done in this new season of the show with the acting that's in this very show really being helped by the fact that this shows scripts are just so good that all this shows actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out 0of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very show.
Doing the animation for this show is Snipple Animation , Hosem Animation Studio and Wang Film Productions Company. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty really good with this seasons high quality of animation more then reaching up to the already high standers of animation that were set by the previous seasons as this show did always have some really high quality animation to it with the characters in this new season having alot of really fluid movements to them which make it look like that Disney spent alot of money in putting together some really high quality animation and it's something that does off as not only does the show look as good as it's every been with there being alot of details in every single crowd shot but the backgrounds also look really good as well with this new season even getting creative with alot of it's visuals alot of which are sold thanks to the high quality of animation and while nothing will ever top the high quality of animation from their first movie this new season does come damn near close to doing exactly that as it looks old and familiar yet also new at the exact same time with the show making very minor tweaks to the characters designs alot of which your not even going to notice unless your really looking for them in the first place with it being clear as day that the makers of this show knew that today's audiences will know to look for quality animation and so because of that they made sure to make this show look as good as it possibly could do and it's something that's payed off really well as this show looks drop dead gorgeous.
SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
While the show does mainly stick to what's worked before more often then not taking an if it aint broke don't fix it approach that doesn't mean that the show doesn't try do new things. Like for example in the episode "Tropey McTropeface" the whole entire episode is mainly ditches the typical Phineas And Ferb plot set up by having the main Phineas And Ferb plot be wrapped up in a few minuets and having the rest of the episode by based around the giant zoetrope that the boys made as it rolls around town interacting with several different character and even getting it's own love interest in the form of a Ferris Wheel and while we still do have the Agent P plot line which does still tie into the main plot of the show it's the fact that the makers of this show tried to do something new and different by having the regular main characters essentially by cameos in this one episode and having this giant zoetrope be the main character which is in of itself a pretty funny idea but then you add in the fact that it has it's own song sung by Michael Bublé and even has the episode end with it and the Ferris Wheel not only meeting up but also having their own family in the form of baby roundabouts that do help to make this episode stand out as one of the best episodes that we got this season and while there are other good episodes as well like both "Summer Block Buster" and "Cloudy With A Chance Of Mom" which is the two parter that aired as part of the same episode that plot was more about getting things back to how they were in the original show where as with this plot it was more about doing something weird and stupid and because of it we got a really good episode out of it.
What was shocking about the ending of "Summer Block Buster" was the fact that they straight up had the boy mother get hit with one of Dr. Doofenshmirtz's new weapon a Vaporizer-inator which as the name would suggest vaporizes anything that it hits which in this case with Linda herself which was a great cliffhanger for that segment as it straight away makes you want to watch the next one with even the very idea of one of Dr. Doofenshmirtz's weapons effecting anyone of the main characters even if they don't know that it's him in this harmful is a great way to not only set up that this lovable goofball can be a threat he's also still the same lovable goofball that he was in the original show as he still manages to get beaten at the end of the day with it being great seeing all of the kids working together not only to stop Linda who has transformed into a cloud from being destroyed by all of the various wind things in the town but also working together when Dr. Doofenshmirtz hits her with another gun that hits her hot front with a cold one thus causing her to fill up with water which does add a nice ticking time bomb to the episode as now the boys and Candace have to rush to get her back home and to find away to make her loose all that water weight so that they can transform her back to normal with this being something that the original show didn't really do at all not even in there many special episodes and yet they did it in the first episode of this show with this one episode being more then worthy of being it's own twenty two minuet special as it reminds of what the status quo is for the rest of the show and still gives us something that feels more at home being the plot of a special then it does a regular episode of the main show itself.
As with the rest of the show there are songs to be found in this new season with each one of the shows segments having at the very least one new song in it as With all of the seasons songs being some really good songs in there own right however tho while that was also true for the previous seasons as well here it did kind of tiresome as it did start got feel like that they were stopping the plot of the segment just to fit in a song as very little of the shows songs added anything to the plot of the segment and were only added in there because of the fact that they had songs in the original every single episode of the original seasons of the show with one of the more better songs this season being the song "Summer Is Starting Right Now" from the first segment of the new season as it's a song that is not only really catchy but is also sung really well as well with all of the main actors from the show getting in a few lines that not only remind older audience members of what there character is like but also lets the shows newer audience know what there character is like as well with all of the seasons songs still having that punk rock sound that helped to set the original series apart from all of the other kids animated shows out there that mainly had a pop soundtrack to them which is fine but it also makes them sound very similar with the only song that sues a more heavy rock to heavy metal sounding song in this season being the song "Watch It Burn" from the episode "Lord Of The Firesides" which even then doesn't sound that bad but it's not as good as "Summer Is Starting Right Now" as that song more then gets you in the mood for the rest of the season of the show.
Now then each episode of this show has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly no longer then twenty three minuets. With episode one oddly enough having the shortest running time of twenty one minuets and fifty nine seconds and quite literally all of the other episodes being twenty three minuets and one second which to be fair to this show those were pretty much the bogstanderd running time for this show to begin with as each episode is made up of two two segments with the plots of all of the segments having more then enough plot there to really cover their respective running times and this season is a strong case of the show show making some really good use it's running time as it doesn't have to fully develop any of it's characters as we have the other four season and two movies for that and there for the only thing that it has to do is develop it's respective plots and that's really it and that's something that all of the episodes do really well as all of the episodes do feel very well thought out with each segment giving alot of time to their respective plots something that the crew making this season would have had more then enough time to get good at as alot of them also worked on the original show as well and therefor they would know how well to balance the Agent P plots with the mainline Phineas And Ferb plots and not have one overshadow the other and while they never explain why Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz is once again evil something that they could have done even as a joke it's something that takes away from the plot development of this show first episode but I really will admit that this show really does have some really good pacing to it tho.
So now then as this is comedy show that really does mean that I have to actually talk about he actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show really good. With this seasons comedy being more then up there with the original seasons more then high quality jokes with even this new season starting it's own running joke with Burford wanting to build this one thing everyday only to either get shut down by the the rest of the gang completely or for something bigger and more important to come up which was a great running joke and it is one that you can very easily see what the final build of season 6 could quite possibly be as well and much like the rest of the show the seasons songs do also add to the comedy with the lyrics of certain songs just straight up singing abut things that are happening on screen with the joke in the whole entire episode being in the episode "Meap Me In St. Louis" where there's a running joke about a possible fifth season of weather which is a great meta joke as for the longest time the fifth season of this show was thought to be at best theoretical and at worst just straight up not going to happen with the episode making alot of references to a possible fifth season of weather all of which are really funny as it shows that the makers of this show are more then willing to make fun at themselves and just be goofy and silly whilst still telling a good joke with even that same episode having a great joke about how they were never going to make it in the first place but now that they did they had to incorporate all of the scenes from the fake trailer in this one episode which much like the rest of this episodes jokes was a really funny joke in it's own right with alot of the seasons jokes being just as funny as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!
Overall it's very save to say that Phineas And Ferb are back as these first ten episodes are such a joy to watch and are ones that alot of people be it on Disney Channel where there airing weekly or you can watch first ten episodes of this new season right now on Disney+ as this is a season of the show that is just as good as what the other seasons and the first movie well and truly was in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad thins that are in this very season in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very season really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 9.5 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Disney fandom wiki page , the official Phineas And Ferb fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from this very show that I used in this very review being the really great the official Phineas And Ferb fandom wiki page really simply just due to the fact that really alot of if not really all of the images that are all really from this very episode with really alot of them being really better quality then what you'd really think of and really all of the images are really of course up and really on the official Phineas And Ferb fandom wiki page are also really all fairly high in quality and as well as them all being really fairly freaking high in definition.
