Iron Man: Rise of Technovore Dub Review

Marvel and Anime fans yesterday I reviewed one of the Marvel anime films and well it only made sense that today I review the first anime film made by the company. I'll admit that I was kind of dreading this film since I did see it when it first came out and I remember it being pretty bad and pretty boring and so then boys and girls here is my review of the first Marvel anime film Iron Man: Rise of Technovore.

The plot of the movie is someone is looking to replace the human race with some form of new technology and so it's up a revenge filled Tony Stark to put a stop to it before it's far to late. In terms of what I thought about the story it's actually better then Avengers Confidential since it's actually something that couldn't be done in an episode of the Iron Man anime but at the same time it was still a fairly bad story.

Starring in the movie is Daryl From The Walking Dead as The Punisher/Frank Castle , Matthew Mercer as Iron Man/Tony Stark , Eric Bauza as Ezekiel Stane and Technovore , Kate Higgins as Pepper Potts , James C. Mathis as War Machine/Lt. Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes , Kari Wahlgren as Maria Hill , Clare Grant as Black Widow / Natasha Romanoff , Troy Baker as Hawkeye/Clint Barton and J.A.R.V.I.S. , Tara Platt as Sasha Hammer , JB Blanc as Obadiah Stane and John Eric Bentley as Nick Fury.

I just had to make a Walking Dead reference because I knew that if I didn't i'd get spammed with comments saying that Norman Reedus is in The Walking Dead and yes I know he was also in Blade 2 before you all say anything. I have to say that the cast for this film was far better then the cast in Avengers Confidential altho I still cannot buy John Eric Bentley as Nick Fury he just doesn't sound like Fury to me but performance wise everyone was really solid.

As with the previous film the animation was handled by let's be honest anime giants Madhouse and if you've seen my review of Avengers Confidential then you'll know just a handful of the stuff that they've worked on and I just found out they worked on Highschool Of The Dead which is cool. As for the animation in this film I personally didn't think it was as good as the animation in Avengers Confidential but it was passable at best which for Madhouse isn't a good thing.

Unlike the last film, which had alot of shots where Natasha's b**bs where clearly the focus that actually isn't the case here. Don't get me wrong she still wears outfits that show them off but there never the focus of the shot infact half the time you can't even see them which honestly works better since it allows you to focus more on the film rather then a characters chest and it's something that Avengers Confidential could have learned from.

To me if both films swapped their stories around then both would have been better of for it because the plot of this movie feels more like a Black Widow plot and the plot of the Avengers anime feels alot more like an Iron Man plot. I know that sounds weird but I honestly feel that the plot used for this movie would have suited Natasha and Punisher more then the plot that they had in the Avengers movie.

I know i'm mentioning the Avengers anime alot but the team up of Black Widow and Punisher really did work for that film. However here they have Tony team up with him and it just doesn't work there's no chemistry between the characters there at all even tho the team up is only for a few scenes but it's enough to know that this team just don't really work together and aren't as fun to see on screen.

Let us take a second to talk about Tony Stark he's always been a character that when push comes to shove will always do the right thing. So I have to wonder why Nick Fury is stopping him from going after a killer which not only fits in with his character somewhat but given that he's just seen his friend get killed is clearly not thinking straight so it would have helped the situation even more if Nick had left Tony alone because he would have come back to him in the end because he always does the right thing.

I don't know what it is with these Marvel anime films and really bad villains we've had two anime films and they've both had weak villains. the villain in this film Ezekiel Stane is really weak we don't find out why he's villain he has no motivation for being a villain he's only a bad guy because the plot demands that he be one and that's in and that's not good enough for any kind of medium be it anime or whatever a villain needs motive and reason as to why they are the villain and when you don't give us any of those then the villain comes of looking weaker and less interesting then your main hero when they should be just as interesting as the hero.

This movie is boring as all hell I don't know how in the hell you make an Iron Man movie boring but this movie found away. Alot of the boredom comes from the fact that the villain just isn't that fun to watch but also because in terms of actual story there's not that much there which is why it would have made a better Black Widow story since then you could have a mystery angle to lean into to but without that you end with a thinly drawn plot and an uninteresting villain which honestly made the film feel like a chore to sit through alot of the time.

Since this is an action movie that does mean that we have to talk about the action that's seen within the film itself. Which quite like alot of things in this movie isn't that good don't get me wrong the action can indeed be fun at times but I honestly got the impression that it was missing that extra something that I can't quite put my finger on maybe it would have been better if we saw more heroes take part in the action scenes instead of just two or three and Tony's introduction scene would have been better if there was a rock song playing over it or even a rock instrumental but that's just what I think.

Overall I honestly prefer Avengers Confidential to this film since it takes alot of the things that this film does but does them better. I would however fully understand if people preferred this film but from what I could gather not alot of fans nor critics like this movie and it's very easy to see why and what I think is a very rare thing but this film actually doesn't have a critics score on Rotten Tomatoes but it does have an audience score of 34% and it's not hard to see why and so this film gets a 5 out of 10 from me.

My First Impressions Of The Harley Quinn Animated Series

DC fans it's been a long freaking time since i've talked about a new show from the company and well this is a show that i've been waiting to see. I cannot even tell you when I started getting excited because it feels like a long time ago that the show was even announced but as of yesterday the first episode of the new Harley Quinn animated series finally dropped and boy do I have some thoughts about it so here they are my first impressions of Harley Quinn.

The plot of the episode is after Joker lets Harley spend a year in Arkham Asylum Harley has finally had enough and decides to dump him but things don't go that smoothly. As to be expected from a half hour show the episode is pretty light in terms of plot but it does a good job of setting up the status quo for the show as well as setting up the relationship between Harley and Ivy but at the same time I would have liked a little bit more story.

Starring in this episode and in the rest of the series is former Big Bang Theory star and executive producer Kaley Cuoco as Dr. Harleen Quinzel / Harley Quinn , Lake Bell as Dr. Pamela Isley / Poison Ivy , Alan Tudyk as Joker , Diedrich Bader as Bruce Wayne / Batman , Jim Rash as Edward Nigma / Riddler , Ron Funches as Nanaue / King Shark , Chris Meloni as Commissioner James Gordon and J. B. Smoove as Frank the Plant.

I'll admit when I first saw the trailer I wasn't fully sold on Kaley as Harley and after this first episode i'm still not all I could hear whenever she spoke was Penny from The Big Bang Theory but i'm sure that will go away with time. From what I could gather just of this first episode the acting seems to be pretty good it was decent at least in this episode with their being plenty of room for improvement which given who else is in this show is bound to happen.

Now this is more of an educated guess since the over production company listed is owned by star and Kaley Cuoco but the animation for the series I assume is being done by Ehsugadee Productionsm. I've never heard of them and so I can't really say what they've worked on but I can say that based of this first episode the animation is really good and is very clean and polished it almost looks like it could fit in with the world of the newer DC animated movies as well.

Now if you for some reason thought that was going to be a kids cartoon or something that you can show your younger relatives because it has Batman in it. Then think again because this is an R rated show and it really does earn it's R rating with a bunch of swearing just in the opening few minuets as well there being a lot and I really mean this alot of blood and gore and just for good measure there's some social commentary thrown in for good measure so yeah DO NOT show this to your younger relatives.

I really like what there doing with Jim Gordon in this series they basically made him a p****d off drunk dude. Which was something that I felt was really funny every scene he's in he's slurring his words and basically acting like he's drunk and those scenes honestly got a huge laugh out of me because of how radically different it was to how we are used to seeing the character but only time will tell if he's still a good cop or if he's just there for that one joke.

Now it wouldn't be a review of anything to do with Harley Quinn if we didn't talk about the girl herself. To me this show seems to making her a mixture of both the original animated series in that she's still a villain but also the newer comics in that she's no longer with Joker and that she wearing something a little shorter shall we say and that's a mixture which really shouldn't work since Harley was only a villain because of the Joker and yet it oddly works for this show and for this episode and I don't want them to make Harley a hero in this show keep her as the villain.

I'm honestly not that sure what to make of the costume that they give Harley on the one hand it makes her more sexy but on the other hand I don't really feel that I suits the character. I get why they had her get rid of her old outfit because Joker gave her that outfit and so with her getting rid of it it means she's getting rid of him from her life but they could have gave her something that matched her insanity in my opinion and not something that makes her look that sexy.

Now this is an action comedy and that does mean that we have to talk about both of those aspects so let's start with the action. The action scenes in this episode were so fun to see on screen and this is where the show earns in R rating because they are violent as all hell i'm not even kidding either you see bones break and I loved it because of that fact since it helps it stand out from all of the other action comedy shows out there both animated and not.

Now that we've talked about the action part of the show we now have to talk about the comedy aspect of this action comedy. This show was far funnier then what I thought it was going to be I honestly feel that this show is worth watching just for the comedy alone since alot of the jokes had me laughing out loud and that's a very rare thing for me so it's really telling that the jokes in this episode really do work.

Honestly one thing I wasn't expecting was the fact that they touch on the abusive relationship between Joker and Harley. It's not just something that they bring up once and never mention again they actually make it the main focus of the episode and you see Harley fall into the same traps that someone who's just escaped an abusive relationship fall into like she goes back to the Joker because he knows exactly what to say and I hope that the show touches on the mental side of the relationship as well as that's not something that's covered that often.

Overall this is a really fun episode and it looks like it's going to be a really fun episode but I will say that if your an SJW type then this show isn't for you. I really hope that the show is as good as this first episode was and you can bet that i'm going to be watching this series every week and that means that there will be a review as soon as the first series ends and because I don't like to give out ratings for first episodes i'll just say watch the episode.

Some Reasons Why The Marvel Cinematic Universe Is So Popular In My Opinion

Marvel fans the company has been turning out alot of really solid movies in it's MCU for over ten years and in the process has brought back the cinematic universe to the point where now everything has to be connected. So I thought that for this post i'd take a look at why the MCU in particular has succeeded where other cinematic universes have failed and incase there are any DC fans out there I want you all to know that i'm a fan of both universes but the let's be honest the MCU is the biggest thing going right now.

The first thing that really does sprung to mind when I thought of this very question was that the MCU is popular because the movies are comic books brought to life. Like actually think about it the big splash pages there the scenes where you get alot of the cool stuff happening in the movies and alot of the single panels are alot of the dialog scenes and a few punches so whenever your seeing a movie in the MCU your seeing a comic book brought to life.

Now it would have been super easy for Marvel to build there universe just around the core Avengers team and they would been very successful at the box office. However Marvel took a risk and it was a risk that needed to pay off that risk was turning a little known obscure as hell comic book property and turning it into a billion dollar franchise and with Guardians Of The Galaxy that was something that the achieved.

Before the 2014 movie know one outside of a few die hard comic book fans had ever heard of Guardians Of The Galaxy and so turning it into a movie was a very risky movie. One which like I said needed to payoff and Marvel not only made these essentially unknown characters into house hold names they opened up the MCU to a whole range of ideas which was needed if the MCU was going to survive.

If you look at alot of cinematic universes right now they all have a few things in common the first of which being there's no clear leader. Say what you will about Kevin Feige but at least he has a clear vision for the MCU which is something that alot of cinematic universes are clearly missing hell some of them change bosses everytime a film flops because the studio has no idea what there doing or are to afraid to commit to one singular vision.

The other thing that they have in common with each other is that there far to bothered with setting up more sequels then they are with telling a good story. If you look back at the very first Iron Man movie they don't set up any sequels or other characters in the MCU which allows you to really get to know Tony and actually care about his journey and his plot which would last several movies spanning ten years and that's something you cannot do if your more bothered about setting up future films.

Now I touched on this before but the fact that one characters journey isn't just limited to their own films is truly something impressive. Bruce's plot line about learning to cope with the hulk starts in the first and only Hulk MCU movie and over the course of the first Avengers films you see him slowly learning to cope with that and you might think that it pays off in Thor: Ragnarok and while I could see your point it doesn't it merely begins to wrap up it's instead ends in Avengers: Endgame by which point we are fully invested in the character.

The characters are also really likeable and i'm not just talking about the heroes when I say that either heck all you have to look at Loki a villain in order to see that he's a likeable person. Thanos is another villain who is made al the more terrifying due to how likeable he is and that is something that i'd never thought i'd say about a villain you can emphasise with him and so you want to see him achieve his goals and that adds to the overall threat of his character as well as his likeability.

Now it would be foolish of me to say that every MCU movie has a great villain because that's simply not the case. However what could be argued is that the ones that are actually good have become popular thanks to the films they've appeared in before Thor came out Loki was a little known character but thanks how good of a villain he is everyone knows his name so much so that Disney are giving him his own series to air on Disney+ in the near future.

The same can also be said for Thanos if you recall back in 2012 during the end credits for the first Avengers movie nobody knew who Thanos was. Now fast forward to after Infinity War he's all people can talk about hell to many myself included he's the best villain that the MCU has produced he in now the bar to which all other villains have to reach now that's good of a threat he really freaking is.

Now just like with the villains not every Marvel movie is good but when the overall majority of them are not only good but great you can forgive them for making one or two bad entries. These films are bad because some of them just don't live up to the previous films Thor and Ant-Man are prime examples of that and in the case of Captain Marvel it was the typical Marvel affair but with none of the heart and soul behind it.

However when Marvel does get it right you get films like Endgame which not only proved this type of storytelling could work but if done right it can make grown men and women cry. The MCU is great at telling these stories that don't just last a trilogy's worth of films but can span numerous films and because of that you get to see characters grow and change and that is something that even people who haven't read the comics can and judging by the box office numbers have noticed.

Now alot of people don't like the fact that the MCU uses a lot of humour and in some cases I can see there point. However there's also a lot of humour in comic books and at the same point in the story when there would be humour in these movies as well and in my opinion alot of the humour doesn't hurt the films that it's in at least not all of the time infact the humour alot of the time is very character driven and so it's plausible that a character would make a joke during a dramatic moment because that's how they'd cope with that situation.

While Stan Lee rightfully gets alot of credit for creating the Marvel Universe the fact is that without him Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby the characters that we love today wouldn't be around. It's due all three of there talents that alot of the makers behind the MCU films could read the comics and get inspired by the characters and by the worlds shown to them and so when it comes to turning those characters into movies those same film makers will won't to do those characters justice because to them they are there child hood heroes and you never want to let down your heroes.

  

My First Impressions Of Marvel's Hero Project

Marvel a comic book company known for creating heroes is now doing something super cool at least for this series and that is the fact that they are turning to real kids into superheros. I'll admit that I wasn't going to cover this show I was just going to watch it and that was it but after watching the first episode I felt compelled to cover it because no one else is talking about the show and so here are my first impressions of Marvel's Hero Project.

As stated above Marvel is turning a bunch of kids who are making a difference into superheroes and that to me is a great thing to do. Since we always here of how people are being influenced by comic books and so to see those people who have influenced others now giving those kids a chance to tell their story in what many would consider one of the greatest forms of storytelling ever is something that is truly special.

This first episode focused on Jordan a thirteen year old with limb difference meaning in this case she only has one hand. What she did was not let that get her down but instead went a design school and built herself I guess you could call it a glitter gun which in turn helped inspire others with the condition to do the same thing that to me is just so freaking cool we are getting new inventors who might look a little bit different but it's because they look that little bit different that they can see and fix problems that no one else has thought of just yet.

Now I do see why alot of people aren't talking about this show just because there's a lot of stuff on Disney+ and so it would be impossible for us all to talk about every single show. However I do feel that this show is worth talking about because of the positive impact it's going to have not only on the kids involved but to those who already see them as heroes because now it will make them say "well if they can do it then so can I" which to me is always a good thing.

Marvel is really going above and beyond here because not only are they giving a donation to a cause that the person involved is passionate about but there also producing exclusive comics based on the person of the episode. Each comic book I assume will be made available to read online after each new episode has been made available to stream but they really didn't need to do this they could have just left it with the donation and a jacket and it would cool but they really going above and beyond what is needed and asked of them and you can bet that not only will I be reading these comics but I might also review some of them.

Overall I don't think this needs saying but go and watch this show get a subscription to Disney+ right now and check out the first few episodes. So ends this very quick post this is my very first first impressions for a documentary so I have no idea what to talk about and it wasn't something that was planned so i'm sorry if it seems all over the place but it was something that I felt that I had to talk about and as you can tell there will not be a rating for this episode as it's the first in I believe twenty episodes but there might be a review at the end of the show's first series / season.  

Some Of My Favourite WWE Studios Films

WWE fans the company is well known around the globe for putting out several weekly TV shows and yearly games. However there are times when the studio puts out an actual feature film weather or not that film is any good depends on you however there are some films from the company that I enjoy and so I thought that I'd tell you what some of my personal favourites are and yes alot of them do include WWE wrestlers for some reason.

See No Evil (Kane)

The first horror film from the company and it's not that hard to see why they only made two See No Evil films. Since even tho I like this film hell I like it so much then when it first came out over here in the UK I ran to my local supermarket to buy the movie and I will admit it's cool as hell seeing Kane as the bad guy however I would have liked more depth to the other characters but the kills are cool tho so there's that.

The Marine (John Cena)

Yeah alot of people forget that before Cena was starring in big budget movies for major studios he actually did the first Marine movie. Hell alot of people forget that outside of The Miz there was another star of this franchise I will admit to only seeing this one and not the sequels but thatst because this film is pure action cheese even down to the bad dialog however it does have some cool a ton which is what you want in an action movie.

Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery (Far To Many To Count)

I know that alot of Scooby-Doo fans don't really like this film that much and that's fair enough everyone is entitled to their own opinion of a movie. I on the other hand really do find this film to be enjoyable on top of that there is a really good mystery which in my opinion is always a good thing since it's a key part of the Scooby-Doo franchise and without that you'd have a bad movie.

The Flintstones & WWE: Stone Age SmackDown! (Far To Many To Count)

This is actually the shortest film WWE Studios has released clocking in at just under an hour and it really didn't need to be long at all. It does make some good use of the wrestlers involved but I don't get why they chose to make CM Punk the bad guy since he was the most cheered person at the time but I guess that means nothing if the little kids don't like him.

The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania! (So Many Wrestlers Featured In This Film)

This was the first anything to feature The Jetsons since there nineties movie and in my opinion it was a welcome return. Out of all the animated films that WWE have released this is in my opinion the best one that doesn't make it just makes it the least bad plus it has the great Jetsons theme at the start which for me is always a good thing and the comedy us pretty spot on as is the references to the Scooby-Doo WWE films.

Fighting With My Family (Lots Of WWE Wrestlers)

Of course this film was going to feature on here at some point not only is it the only WWE Studios film to get good reviews it also made a decent amount at the box office. Unlike the other films which featured WWE wrestlers in main roles here only a small handful cameo at the end of the film. The only issue I had with the film is something that couldn't be helped and that's the continuity with the main WWE sets.

My First Impressions Of The Mandalorian With ONE SPOILER

Star Wars fans depending on who you ask Disney has either saved Star Wars or burnt it to the ground however there is one thing that both sides could agree on and that's the fact that The Mandalorian was worth getting excited about. Well now the first episode has indeed been released on Disney+ with episode two due on Friday and so that means that yours truly is here to give you my first impressions of the show and please note there will be a spoiler in the post.

The plot of the episode is really simple an unnamed Mandalorian is sent on a mission to kill a target and that's really it. Yeah for a first episode the plot was really simple and easy to follow which does indeed make sense since it does allow new fans to follow what's going on but at the same time I was kind of expecting something a little bit more complex but who knows maybe we'll get that in future episodes.

Starring in the episode are Pedro Pascal as "The Mandalorian" , Carl Weathers as Greef Karga , Werner Herzog as "The Client" , Omid Abtahi as Doctor Pershing , Nick Nolte as Kuiil , Taika Waititi as IG-11 , John Beasley as Bartender , Horatio Sanz as Mythrol , Tait Fletcher as Alpha trawler , Ryan Watson as Beta trawler , Dmitrious Bistrevsky as Quarren trawler , Christopher Bartlett as Ferryman , Brian Posehn as Speeder Pilot and Emily Swallow as Armorer.

For once I have no idea how to judge the acting from our lead character because his face his hidden all the time and we only get small bits of him speaking but based of what I heard in the episode the acting from Pedro is honestly really good. The same thing can also be said for the acting from the other actors in the episode with each of them clearly putting in effort and it really does show in my opinion.

Now I was going to talk about the CGI here but the only image I could find about the effects was a spoiler image so instead i'm going to talk about when this show takes place because not alot of people will know when the show takes place. The show takes place in the thirty year time gap between Return Of The Jedi and The Force Awakens which for me is a good idea because there's more room to tell interesting stories there since we won't know how certain characters end up.

These effects were so freaking good and after doing some research that really shouldn't come as a shock because the effects were done by ILM. I honestly want to know what the effects budget was because the CGI in this is insanely good like it's feature film good even the character who i'm now calling Baby Yoda (because look at it) looks really good I honestly wouldn't have blamed this show for not using that much CGI because Disney+ is a new service but not only did they use alot of it they went the extra mile to make it look good.

Speaking of Baby Yoda (yes I know it's not Yoda but I have idea what species Yoda is so yeah) he / she looks damn good for fifty years old. I'm not even kidding the baby in this episode is said to be fifty years old damn I hope I look that good when I reach fifty. All jokes aside giving this western type character a baby to look after is a good idea because now he has a link to a human side something which wouldn't be present if the baby wasn't there.

Now then I have to talk about the action because for a TV show it was far better then what I was expecting it to be. In my head I thought that we'd just see a few punches being thrown and that was it but nope was I wrong and it was just so cool to see on the screen that's honestly the best thing that I can say about the whole episode is that it's cool in every single way possible and it makes me want to see the next episode because of it.

Now as you all know this show debuted on Disney+ and is one of their many shows being made available at launch. That is however if you don't live in most of Europe or various other countries because we in the UK have to wait until 2020 to get the service which is big mistake on Disney's part because they've made all the trailers available for all to watch and so people are excited to see the shows or films and so be not launching it worldwide on the same day there now encouraging people to use "other methods" to see the shows and films that are going to be coming out on the service which will in turn hurt them.

Now I will admit that i've not clicked on any reviews for this show but it will does astound me that many reviewers put out reviews after a single episode. Case in point The Guardians Charles Bramesco who's headline reads "The Mandalorian review – splashy Star Wars show is a dusty disappointment" you cannot base a review of a show after one or two episodes even in the opening few lines he says that the show fails to impress.

Another example of this is Emily Todd VanDerWerff's (yes that's her actual name) for Vox who despite being a little more positive says that the show is just fine. Again you cannot base an entire review on just the first one or two episodes you need to watch at least the first series / season in order to do the review justice since then you'd actually know what your talking about it's clear to me that the people who do this while they do have a job to do are also doing it for the clicks and that's why you won't see a full review from me until either the end of this first series / season or the show.

Overall this was a solid first episode and while I personally didn't find it as epic as everyone else who saw it on launch day did I still feel that the episode deserves it's high score of RT. Like I said I won't be jumping on the bad wagon on basin a review of the first few episodes and by the way episode two is due on Friday i'll either do it when the show ends or the first season ends but it'll most likely be when the show ends just because the final episode is going live a few days after Christmas.

Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie Dub Review

Video game fans there are a lot of bad video game movies out there and there's bound to be alot more made. However that doesn't mean that there aren't a few decent ones out there it just means that you have to look harder to find them and i've found a movie that I honestly feel is a decent video game movie which comes to us from the land of the raising sun and so here is my review Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie.

The plot of the film is M. Bison and his evil organisation Shadowlaw are hoping to increase their power be enlisting the world's top fighters their main target being Ryu who'll they try to recruit by any means necessary. Yeah I had to get this plot summery of Animenewsnetwork because even after watching the film I still had no idea what the actual story was which I think is due to the fact that the story is so thin that it might as well not even be there.

Now all of the actors in this dub where using fake names however since those names have been decoded i'll be using their real names. So starring in this dub is Skip Stellrecht as Ryu , Eddie Frierson as Ken , Lia Sargent as Chun-Li , Kirk Thornton as Guile , Peter Spellos as Sagat , Richard Cansino as Vega , Joe Romersa as Balrog , Richard Epcar as E. Honda , Debra Rogers as Cammy , Steve Blum and T.Hawk and I kid you not Bryan freaking Cranston as Fei Long.

I just want to say how awesome it is that Walter White himself was in an anime movie even tho he doesn't have a big role it's still awesome as hell. In terms of what I thought about the acting it was honestly pretty wooden I get that for alot of these actors this was their first role but they don't really give any emotion and I have no idea why that's the case since alot of these actors are really good and have proven that time and time again.

The animation for the film was handled by Group TAC but that's oddly enough not the most interesting part about the animation because also working on the film helping with the photography are animation giants Studio Ghibli. Knowing that Ghibli worked on this film is just insane to me but it doesn't change how I feel about the animation tho which while indeed impressive for the time it still look pretty cheap at least when it comes to the dialog scenes when it comes to the action scenes however it leaps of the screen.

Now then given the picture above I think you all know what scene that I have to talk about and yes I did see the unrated cut of this movie. The famous Chun-Li shower scene is every every single fourteen year old boy wants and it's awesome in every single freaking way and if i'm being honest it was the only reason why I wanted to even watch the movie so as you can no doubt tell I am a man of culture.

All jokes aside the fight that happens after the shower scene is shockingly intense like why more intense then the violence in any video game movie ever. I'm honestly glad that the film had intense violent scenes because of the fact that so many video game movie shy away from showing intense scenes where as this one not only shows them but revels in them and that to me is honestly really refreshing. 

This film is honestly so freaking boring the film is an hour and forty minuets long but it feels so much longer then that. I think that the reason why it's boring to me is the fact that I couldn't find any hint of a plot and so all I was left with was a ton of talking scenes that go on and on with the occasional action scene which didn't go on long enough plus due to the lack of plot there's no character development at all.

Where all the characters are at the start of the movie is the exact same place they are at at the end of the film. In the game the characters might get some development but in this movie they don't get any what so ever and on top of that the characters just aren't that interesting the film is more focused on telling us why we should care for the characters instead of showing us and that just doesn't work at all you need to show us why we should care for them by making them actually interesting characters instead of telling us to care for them and putting no effort into making them interesting.

  

Now I do have a bone to pick with this movie and it's over the name if any sane person saw the name Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie chances are they'd think that this is a sequel. However it's not a sequel it's infact the first movie so there for would a better title be Street Fighter: The Animated Movie since that way people would know that this is the first movie in the series by adding the 2 to the title your only going to confuse people.

Now since this is an action movie and yes I do realise that I briefly touched on the action before we do have to talk about the action scenes in the movie. These scenes are so well animated like I said they leap of the screen and while they do boil down to who can hit who the hardest I get the feeling that that was also true for the games (I don't play them never have never will) and so I have to commend the makers for staying true to the game all the while creating exciting action scenes.

Overall this is a fairly decent video game movie but really it's only saving points are decent animation , decent fight scenes and the Chun-Li shower scene for obvious reasons and so the film gets a 5.5 out of 10 from me. I also do have some history with this film as I do recall watching it on VHS in the mid-nineties but I think I only watched it once and I don't even think that I owned it because I never saw it again.

My First Impressions Of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series ONE SPOILER INCLUDED

Disney fans the company is a few days away from launching it's streaming service and well the company did something great. They released the first episode of it's new show High School Musical: The Musical: The Series on ABC as a special preview which is something that alot of studios never do and I don't get why since it's free advertising and so here are my first impressions of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and yes there will be ONE spoiler.

The plot of this episode is East High the school where the movies were filmed is finally putting on a production of High School Musical with this episode mainly focusing on the auditions for the production. In terms of story it's understandably pretty basic since all it does is set up the characters and nothing more but at the same time I would have liked it if they had a bit more going on to keep me interested in the series long term.

Starring in this episode and the rest of the series is Joshua Bassett as Ricky Bowen , Olivia Rodrigo as Nini Salazar-Roberts , Kate Reinders as Miss Jenn , Sofia Wylie as Gina Porter , Matt Cornett as E.J. Caswell , Julia Lester as Ashlyn , Larry Saperstein as Big Red , Dara Renee as Kourtney , Frankie Rodriguez as Carlos , Mark St. Cyr as Mr. Mazzara , Joe Serafini as Seb Matthew-Smith and Alexis Nelis as Natalie.

If i'm being honest the acting in this episode isn't that good but given that this is the first episode that's understandable. The actors are clearly talented and so over time you just know that the acting is going to get better as the series goes on but it still does leave a mark on this episode tho and so it's something that I have to talk about but like I said the actors are talented and so there's more room for them to grow.

Now the aim of this show from what I can gather from the first episode is about the characters growing and becoming friends. Which is honestly something that i've personally not seen before in any show and so it was really refreshing for me to see it possibly be the aim for this show and if it is then great because it's something new and something different and we need new and different now with so many streaming networks coming.

What I found very hard to believe is that everyone in the world of this show loved High School Musical and if they didn't at the start then they did by the end of the episode. I get that it's an instalment of that franchise but it's ok to have characters that don't like the film or it's sequels in fact it would be really refreshing since then they could offer a viewpoint that you wouldn't get from people who obsess over it.

Like I said Disney aired the first episode on ABC however what they did was have the cast talk about the show several times so instead of being around twenty minuets it's around forty minuets. I would have preferred if they didn't have the cast interrupt the episode since that way you'd be able to get a better feel for what the show is going to be like but they chose not to go that route which would have made more sense if you ask me it would be like having the cast of a movie interrupt the movie your seeing to talk about the movie your watching is what i'm getting at.

There is one sequence that I have to talk about because honestly it was so good and was easily the best moment of the whole episode for me. It's Nini's version of "Start Of Something New" I just loved that sequence it starts with her singing in the dark because the power died and then one of the male characters uses his phone to give her some light and then another male character does the same and then the whole scene transitions it this beautiful looking stage full of chandeliers with Nini wearing Gabriela's red dress and I just loved it.

This actually a musical series and will include original songs as well as cover versions of songs from at least the first film. We do get an example of one of the original songs in this episode with "I Think I Kinda, You Know" and like I said "Start Of Something New" both of which are being sung by Olivia Rodrigo and man can she sing if she doesn't want to act anymore she could very easily make it as a singer and I like the fact that the show is using a mixture of old and new songs because it keeps things fresh which is always good.

Overall this was a really good episode one thing I forgot to mention was the comedy which was very hit and miss for me personally but there might be some people who find this episode to be funny as heck. For those of you who don't know I don't give out ratings when I do a first impressions just because that rating might go up as the series goes on and I have no idea if i'm going to watch the rest of this series or not so I don't know if there will be a review of it or not and yes the teacher does mention being a backup dancer in the original film which was pretty funny. #HSMTMTS
