My SPOILER FILLED First Impressions Of The Agatha All Along TV Series

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been seeing alot of ups and downs recently with the TV side of things not really taking off all that well either. With the only two decent TV shows being What If and Wandavision and well the spin off of Wandavision has now jus5t aired it's first two episodes and well then since I was fan of Wandavision back when that show was first airing you all just knew that I simply had to check this show out the very first chance that I got and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FILLED first impressions of the show that's had more name changes then we've all had hot diners with the show in question being called simply just "Agatha All Along" enjoy.

The plot of these first two episodes is three years after the events of Wandavision Agatha Harkness finds herself free of the spell that Wanda put her under but without her powers she embarks on a quest to get her powers back. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty really good with the plot doing a good job of not only setting up what Agatha has to go through in the show but also catching us up on what the character ha been up to in the years since we last saw her in Wandavision however with all of that being said tho the plot of these first two episodes does also bit to generic with it being made painfully obvious what Agatha's arc is going to be for the rest of the show which does make the rest of the show feel a bit more predictable then what it might actually end up being and while there are some twists and reveals in the first episode that do make you want to watch the second episode there's nothing in that second episode to make you want to come back and watch further episodes of this show with the plot of this show also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in these episodes is Kathryn Hahn as Agnes O'Connor / Agatha Harkness and Joe Locke as Teen. Also starring in these episodes is  Debra Jo Rupp as Sharon Davies , Aubrey Plaza as Rio Vida , Emma Caulfield Ford as Dottie Jones / Sarah Proctor , David Payton as Herb Feltman / John Collins , David Lengel as Phil Jones / Harold Proctor , Asif Ali as Norm Gentilucci / Abilash Tandon , Amos Glick as Dennis Webber , Sasheer Zamata as Jennifer Kale , Ali Ahn as Alice Wu-Gulliver , Okwui Okpokwasili as Vertigo , Chau Naumova as Coyote , Bethany Curry as Crow , Athena Perample as Fox , Alicia Vela-Bailey as Owl , Britta Grant as Rat and Marina Mazepa as Snake.

Now then int6erms of what  personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad. With all pf the actors that you expect a good performance from really delivering a good performance but at the same time tho the acting in these first two episodes really could have been alot better then what it actually was with alot of the new actors just not turning as good of a performance that we the audience know that they can deliver due to them delivering a good performance in other projects and yet here for one or another they just don't turn in that good of performance with them being really wooden at best which is something that really does bring down the overall quality of the acting that's in these episodes with the acting that's in these first two episodes not really being helped by the fact that the scripts for these first episodes aren't that good as neither of them give these episodes actors a whole lot to work with interms of what it is that there actual characters personalities are even meant to be in the first lace which s something that really does harm the overall quality of the acting that's in these first two episodes.

For once it's hard to tell who is actually doing the CGI for either one of these episodes as there are no effects companies listed anywhere online.  Now the interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad as while there isn't alot of CGI to be found in both of these episodes what little CGI there is is used really well with it mainly being used to extend sets and remove wires and to that degree the CGI that's to be found in both of these episodes does look really good as that's what CGI should be used for extending what was already there on the day f filming and not be used to create something else entirely but at the same time given that this is show about witches these first episode could have used some of there effects budget to show us what these witches can do before they agree to go on this quest with Agatha but at the same time it was most likely decided not to use CGI  that much in these early episodes to save up on the effects budget so that they can have bigger and better effects when it comes to the second half of this show but at the some time you can still have small amounts of CGI in these early episodes and not have it effect your effects budget all that much you just have to be very smart about what becomes a CGI effects and what doesn't and that's really all there is to it.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!

For those wondering the first episodes does have reveal that the dead that we see at the start of the episode is fact Wanda Maximoff who of course we are believed to have died at the end of Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. However if you watch an earlier scene you'll notice that Agatha winks to the camera when she says that the person might not be dead and since we never get to see Elizabeth Olsen's face in the episode it does make you wonder if she'll cameo at the end of the show to reveal that she's actually still alive which would be an interesting way to bring the character back to life as it goes back to that age old rule of if we don't see the body on screen then did the character actually die and since we never saw Wanda's body at the end of Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness then it is possible that she could be brought back and still be alive and it does make sense that this be the show be the ne to reference that movie as that movie is essentially the follow up to Wandavision only from Wanda's point of view where as this show is from Agatha's point of view despite them both being a sequel to Wandavision and heck it's even pretty much a guarantee that Teen is actually one of Wanda's kids as every single time he does go to mention who is parents are something covers his mouth so we the audience and even the characters can't hear him clearly something which does also come into play during the shows second episode as well.

Much like how Wandavision in it's early episodes especially served as a sendup to classic sitcoms of the past. This show especially in it's first episode serves as a sendup of cop shows in this case it was Yellowjackets however where as Wandavision only had the basic set up and plot of sitcom and really nothing more then that this show does take it a step further then that by having the actual characters be listed in the fake opening credits which was such a smart idea and was the best joke in both of these episodes as it's something that you don't even expect to be a thing as it wasn't a thing in Wandavision and heck even the fiction show that Agatha is starring in is meant to be based off of a dutch show that is basically called Wandavision which was a cute little joke but at the same time it really wasn't needed either and that's the same thing with alot of the jokes in both of these two episodes with alot of them being cute but not really laugh out loud funny with this being the case with alot of the stuff in episode where alot of their jokes just make the characters look either dumb or like there the bad guy and that's really it and while yes episode two is better then the first episode in alot of ways episode one tops episode two by having some painfully jokes in it which do make episode one the more fun episode to watch.

Episode two does top the first episode one in the way that we do get to see alot of fun interactions not only with Agatha and Teen but also between the coven members as well. As Agatha and Teen have to try and convince each member of the coven to join them whilst Agatha was secretly planning to just get them to hit her so that she can steal there power something which teen may or may not know about and with the coven members interacting we do get to see some fun interactions with all of them as alot of them haven't really met each other before now but at the same time tho those interactions don't give any member of the coven a chance to get across what there personality is like which isn't a problem for Debra Jo Rupp and Kathryn Hahn both of whom are of course reprising their roles from Wandavision and as a result of that s the fact that there characters personalities was already set up in that show but it does become a problem with the newer characters as there's nothing interesting about the characters personalities that lend themselves to some really interesting interactions with certain characters and while yes we do geta lot of quips from the coven members they mean nothing if you don't have personality and interesting interactions to back them up and heck the only member of the coven who does get some sort of personality apart from Agatha and Sharon Davies is Teen who does come across as being a bit of spunky type of a character and that;s really it and it's not enough to make either him or the rest of the coven members interesting characters.

Now then episode one has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly thirty nine minuets and forty nine seconds whereas episode two has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty one minuets and twenty five seconds. With both of the episodes running time being some soldi running times for both of the episodes but at the same time episodes two could have been a tad bit shorter and episode one could have been a tad longer as episode one does have alot of things to set up where as episodes two doesn't have that problem and thus doesn't need to have a longer time in order to tell it's story as it very easily could have told it's story in a much more tighter thirty to thirty five minuets running time which would allow for the plot of the episode to be alot more focused then what it actually is and while episode one does have the opposite problem it has the problem of being two short as it has so many characters to introduce and as well as the plot of the show to introduce and still tell a really good story and it really can't do that with it's current running time and as a result of that is the fact that alot of episode does come across as feeling rushed as it has to hit certain plot points very quickly all of which could have been avoided if episode one had a much more longer running time but I will admit that both of these episode really do have some really good pacing to them tho.

So now then as this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad. As while we do get only one action scene across both episodes which is something that does make sense as we are only a few episodes into this show it is still a good action scene and while it doesn't really show us what Agatha can do in a fight it doesn't really need to do that as she doesn't have her powers and so of course she won't be able to fight as well as she does when she does have her powers as she's more used to fighting with her powers something that we see in the final ever episode of Wandavision but at the same time we don't really gey to see what Teen brings to the team either as he spends alot of the action just stood there doing nothing instead of trying to do something to help the one person that he really wants to go down the witches road ad as a result of that is the fact that it would have made sense for him to help Agatha out in her fight against Rio and it would have given us the audience a chance to see just what it is that he brings to the team as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this show does have all of the potential in the world to be a decent follow up show to Wandavision but at the same time given that it's only eight episodes long it does need to start getting to all of the good stuff from a plot point of view ad have no filler scenes like we have in both of these episodes and it is something that does make these episodes seem alot more boring then what they actually are in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in these first two episodes in this very post and since this is only my first impressions I won't be giving this show a rating however if this post does decently well and if you guys want me to check out another episode then I will do it and that post would then be a review of that episode and that episode only and not a review of the show as a whole.

Xena: Warrior Princess TV Series "Orphan Of War" Review

We are now sadly living in a time where we are lacking some actually good and well written female characters. With the female characters that we are getting that are meant to be strong female characters just not being that well written and yet all we have to do is look back to often forgotten show from the nineties to prove that people will watch something with a strong female character if the character in question is written well and the episode that i'm going to be reviewing for you all today really does help to prove that point and so then join me as I review that episode that reveals a big secret of Xena's with the episode is question being called simply just "Orphan Of War" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is Xena and Gabrielle offer to help the centaurs defeat one of Xena's old soldiers who wants to steal a powerful stone that will turn him into an evil centaur. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad but at the same time tho the plot of this episode wasn't all that good as it was a really weak plot at best with the main focus of the episodes plot shifting focus so many times that t was hard to tell what the actual plot of the episode as while the idea of Xena and Gabrielle helping out the centaurs defeat a really old friend of Xena's is more then a strong enough plot to carry an entire episode of the show for some reason the episode doesn't give that plot alot of focus and instead gives a side plot with Xena and Solan just as much if not more focus then the actual main plot of the episode with the plot of this episode also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Ash vs. Evil Dead and Justice League: The New Frontier star Lucy Lawless as Xena and Tales From The Crypt star Renee O'Connor as Gabrielle. Also starring in this episode is Hercules And The Amazon Women star David Taylor as Solan , Paul Gittins as Kaleipus , Mark Ferguson as Dagnine , Alexander Campbell as Meklan , Stephen Papps as See'er , Peter Tait as Daylon and Richard Adams as A Warrior.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that;s actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. As this show was never really known for having that good acting in any of it's episodes and as a result of that is the fact that it would be foolish to expect good acting in anything from this show but at the same time tho the acting that we did get in this episode was alot better then what it really had any right to be as it's clear as day that both Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor really are trying to turn in a good performance with the same thing also being true for alot of the shows cast as well the issue is tho is the director doesn't know hoe to direct this cast and how to get a good performance and while this doesn't effect both Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor as they both had the entire first season of the show to really get to know there characters it really does effect the actors that this episode introduces quite badly with that being something that really does let down the overall quality of the acting with this episode acting really being helped by the fact that the script for this really was so good that all this shows cast have to is just say the lies as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally which is something that really does hep to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very episode.

Doing the CGI for this episode and quite possibly the rest of the show as well is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Flat Earth. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad for the time that this show was being made and for the budget that this show had but at the same time it's quite clear as day that this shows effects haven't aged all that well with the shows centaurs looking really bad with it being obvious that they were done very cheaply and very quickly as when there in a full body shot you don't get to see them that clearly and when there in a mid shot or a close up you only see them for the waist up and heck even the shows CGI background when Xena and Solan fall down into a cave looks fake as it was obvious that they filmed the actors on a green screen and very poorly added them into the shot and while the bad CGI isn't something that the episode or show could have helped since these types of shows always had some really small budgets to them which meant that nine times out of ten that the effects budgets were really small as well there should have been at least some sort of effort to hide just how bad the effects are in this episode and not show them alot of the time. 

It's in this episode that we find out that not only was Xena Solan's mother but that she actually gave him up because of the fact that he would be a target and would learn things that no kid should ever learn. While this is a noble thing for the character to do it's hard to say if it's in character for her given that it happened when she was meant to be this evil person and yet it's because of the fact that it happened that we get to see Xena act like a mother to him all the while trying to hide the fact that she is his mother which does lead to some really beautiful scenes between the pair of them which does go to show you just how far that she come as a character as the version of the character that we first met back on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys would never act like this and yet it's because of the fact that she's actively trying to do good that we get these really nice scenes with the best one oddly enough not being the one where she helps to mend his broken arm but right at the end of the episode where she starts to break down after leaving the kid again after not telling him that she's his mother because he will still be a target for those that hate her and we see just how painful it is for her do that as she's close to tears after leaving him at the grave sight for his father and who he believes to be his mother all the while his actual mother is right there with him being a good mother doing something that is hard enough for any parent who truly cares about there kid to do in the first place.

With those scenes being a good example of what it is that makes Xena to be a really strong female character. As we get to see that deep down she does have these maternal feelings that she has to bury down inside her in order to keep her kid safe from people and we see how that does bother her and does get to her as she does snap at Gabrielle at one point in the episode because of the fact that she's still hurting from giving up her kid nine years ago and meeting up with him again nine years later only brought those feeling to surface and that's something that alot of modern female characters lack as they Hollywood seems to think that in order for a female character to be a strong character she has to lack basic emotion and character and yet it's those two things plus the fact that she really can handle herself in a fight that make her a strong female character that's a fully formed three dimensional character and while yes characters like the rest of the centaurs and Gabrielle do get the short end of the stick in this episode they don't get alot of screen time what little screen time they do get also go along way to helping to show us why both Xena and Gabrielle work well together as both friends and as characters as the second she realises that Xena is still hurting Gabrielle goes to apologise and they move on from it and heck Gabrielle herself could be considered a really strong female character in her own right as well as Xena.

There's a reason why this episodes main villain Dagnine hasn't been mentioned thus far in this review and that's the fact that he's not that interesting of a character. With hm being a former solider in Xena's army which could have made him an interesting character and while the episode does do as much as they can do with that aspect of the character and it even does play role in the episodes epic final act what lets the character down is the fact that there's nothing to this characters as we don't get to find out why this character is the way that he is and heck we don't even get to find out why he wants this stone that will turn him into an evil centaur in the first place all of which just make it seem like that he's evil for the sake of being evil as his role in the show could be played by any of the episodes new characters and the plot of the episode wouldn't change heck they could even have had one of the centaurs be the main villain and nothing would change as there's really nothing to Dagnine as a character that makes him standout and given what little we do see of his character he doesn't seem like the character who would go down into this cave to get this stone as he seems like the kind of person who would get a bunch of his guards to go in before he does as he does seem like the kind of character who does have a big ego and not like someone who would be willing to get his hands dirty.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty two minuets and thirty seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstandard running time for this show to have and to this episodes credit it really does take as full advantage as they really could have done with the plot of the episode being as developed as it really could have done but at the same time tho this episode really would have been alot more better if some of the characters were alot more developed then what they were as while it does make sense for Xena , Gabrielle and even Solan not to get that much character development as we have more episodes with him to get more character development and while yes Xena does get some character development in this episode with her learning to be a mother both literally and fugitively it's the episodes new characters that really do suffer because of the fact that none of them barring Solan get any kind of character development with Solan learning to trust Xena after previously hating her which is a good start for the character and while it is built up really well it also makes you wonder why all of the other characters don't at the very least get a line of dialog that shows that they two got some form of characters development as well but i really admit that this very episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this an action show that really does mean that I have ton actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. Which is really nothing new for this show as this show really does have some really fun and creative action that while yes can be seen as being over the top and campy it's that kind of over the top and campy action that makes the action not only in this episode but in the show as a whole seem to be really fun and heck even in the action in this episode we get to see just how much of a bada*s both Xena and Gabrielle are as we see Xena take on Dagnine and hold her own when he's in his evil centaur form basically on her own and we get to see how much Gabrielle has grown as a character as she takes on a few of Dagnine's soldiers and again hold her own all by her self all just by using her staff with the best action in the whole entire episode being the short but still awsome opening action scene as we get to see just how well both Xena and Gabrielle work together when there in a fight and it's just a really fun and cool action scene as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this episode was a really fun episode and it's one that goes to show that this show while yes it is very cheaply made is still a really good show that alot of people should watch but bare in mind that this show and this episode in particualr is both really cheesy and really campy as well and isn't afraid to be exactly either one of those two things in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this episode in this very review and such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Wandavision "Breaking The Fourth Wall" Review

We are now just a few short days from the release of the latest MCU Disney+ TV series Agatha All Along. As such it was only about right that I review something from the show from which the character of Agatha Harkness first makes her debut and well with a certain song that also bares the name of Agatha All Along also debuting in this very episode it only made sense that this be the episode that I do a review for and so then join me as I review that introduced the world to a surprisingly catchy song with the episode in question being called simply just "Breaking The Fourth Wall" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is with her grip on Westview slipping Wanda goes to extremes to make sure everything stays just the way that she wants it to all the while something truly evil emerges from Westview something which threatens to change everything forever. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty (I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with the plot of this episode doing a really good job of building up the overall plot of the show as a whole whilst also throwing in some twists and turns that make the plot of this episode feel new and different whilst also being the kind of plot that you'd expect to see in a show like this one as well with this being helped by the fact that the plot of this episode really does feel like the kind of plot that you'd expect to see in shows like Modern Family and the American version of The Office albeit with a Marvel twist that oddly makes sense for these characters which also makes the plot feel more refreshing , new and different then as well with the plot of this episode also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Also starring in this episode is Evan Peters as Ralph Bohner , Randall Park as Jimmy Woo , Debra Jo Rupp as Sharon Davis , Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis , Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness /Agnes , Julian Hilliard as Billy Maximoff , Jett Klyne as Tommy Maximoff , Josh Stamberg as Director Tyler Hayward , Emma Caulfield Ford as Sarah Proctor , Jolene Purdy as Isabel Matsueda , David Payton as John Collins , David Lengel as Harold Proctor , Asif Ali as Abilash Tandon , Alan Heckner as Agent Monti , Rachael Thompson as Major Aly Goodner , Selena Anduze as Agent Rodriguez and Amos Glick as Dennis The Delivery Man.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. Which really isn't all that new as the acting for this show is genuinely really good and heck the acting in this episode even got praise for being as good as it is with alot of that being down to the fact that some of this episodes actors are reprising their roles from other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies as well as the fact that alot of this episodes actors are a bunch of really good actors in there own right with it being clear as day that this episodes director Matt Shakman really does know how to get a good performances out of his actors which is something that does help to raise up the overall quality of this episodes acting and make it alot more better then what it really had any right to be with the acting that's in this episode really being helped by the fact that this episodes script is just so good that all this episodes cast have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance really will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very episode.

Doing the CGI for this episode is Monsters Aliens Robots Zombies and the legends and the greats that are currently over at capital T. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good as they use CGI in the way that it was meant to be used that is to extend and enhance what was already there on the day in this case making the Circus look alot bigger then what it was and while yes they do use it in order to create The Hex that's keeping them in Westview that's a case of that they had to to use CGI there as there's no way that you could do an effect like that in live action and to be fair it is an effect that does look good for most part as this is a TV show and as such the effects budget does have to be spread out alot more then what it would have to be in a feature length film and as a result of that is the fact that we do get some effects that don't look that good with the scene where Wanda lifts Monica in the air using her powers looking a little bit to fake and while it is something that would be a passable effect ten years ago it's also an effect that doesn't look as good as it perhaps should have done.

As alot of you know this is the episode that introduced the world to the song "Agatha All Along with the song itself being written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. The song itself is still surprising catchy with the song echoing sitcoms of the past most notably The Munsters something that is featured in the songs guitar and theme tune as well as the text that appears on the segment where this song appears which does make sense as a character like Agatha does seem like somebody who would've watched The Munsters at some point in her live but at the same time the song isn't all that good either as it's a song that hasn't been built up at all and isn't written all that well either as it doesn't have that many lyrics to it and as a result of that s the fact that it comes across like a TV jingle that you'd hear over an advert and not like the TV show theme song that it's pretending to be and heck it doesn't really go all that far into the fact that it is basically a TV show intro theme song which is something that it really could have done both in the visuals and in the actual song like it would have been funny if the episode had listed who was starring in this version of Agatha All Along and they even could have listed Agatha Harkness as being the creator of the show and the song it self could have had a bit more of punch to it this is despite the fact that the song is as to be expected from these writers still a really well written song that's performed really well by Agatha Harkness actor Kathryn Hahn.

Something that was to be expected from this show is the fact that this episodes sends up certain era of sitcoms in this case it's shows like the American version of The Office and Modern Family. Which is something that does date this episode as even when this show was being aired those kinds of shows were on the out and the world of sitcom was returning to being filmed infront of a live studio audience but at the same time it is still fun to see this episode send up aspects of those shows like the fact that Wanda does have a chat with the fictional director something which both disturbs her and serves as a key plot point in the episode as it lets us the audience now that somethings going on right now even if it is being one is a rather subtle way but at the same time it is something that does take away from the episode as well as those kinds of shows really do find away to spotlight everybody and give all of the characters something funny to say or do something which this episode really doesn't do and heck it's only Wanda and Vision that talks to the camera when it would have been funnier if we got to see more of the cast take to the camera as well which is something that really would have played really well into the sitcom aspect of this show whilst also not really taking away from the drama aspect of this show either.

Out of all of the characters that are in this episode it's Monica that gets alot less screen time then what she really could have gotten. As her breaking back into Westview is a key part of the shows finale and yet it's not given alot of attention instead she just arrives at an of sight army base and suddenly knows how to get back in after basically crashing a car and that's really it none of which is built up really well and all of which is something that could have been built up if she was given alot more screen time to fully develop that plot line but in doing so that would have taken from the main plot line and Vision's subplot of getting back to Wanda as well both of which are key plot lines and as a result of that is the fact that it does make it hard to fully judge which plot lone should either have been removed all together or cut down in order to give the other plot lines the time that they needed to fully breathe and develop more with this not really being helped by the fact that what little of Monica we do get in this episode really doesn't tell us all that much about her as a character which does make sense given how late into the show this episode is but at the same time since there very clearly trying to set up as a main character for future movies going forward then alot more effort should have gone into showing us what her personality is like in all of her scenes including her scenes in this episode as that would have made her a more developed character and that's something that can't be done with the fact that this episode really doesn't show her all that much.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly thirty four minuets and forty one seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstandard running time for this shoe and while this episode really does have more then enough there in terms of plot to really cover that amount of running time that running time is also the episodes biggest problem as it does mean that plot lines really do have to be rushed at an almost unnatural pace as the episode has to rush along to the next plot point instead of just letting plot points come across organically which does leave you with questions like couldn't Vision just fly back to Wanda at the start of the episode of when he and Darcy where stuck at the traffic light since Vision himself even noted that he knew that this was Wanda's doing and yet those gaps in logic are things that could have been covered over with if the episode took the time that it so desperately needed in order to reach to those plot points more organically instead of just rushing to them without explaining anything at best all of which does make the episode come across as being rushed at times when this is the point in a shows run when they should be slowing down a little bit just so they can explain more about what's going and heck even the sitcoms that this show is sending up do more often then not take there time in telling there stories and thus reach there plot points more organically this is despite them having a twenty two minuet running time but I will admit that this episode really does have some really bad pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is still a comedy as this point in time that really does mean that I have to actually talk about thew actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. As the episode does have some really funny moments in it which given that this episode does have Kat Dennings in it does make alot of sense as does the fact that she and and Vision that get alot of the episodes best jokes just because of the fact that it's so funny seeing these two characters that wouldn't normally spend time together now instead being forced to spend time together all the while Wanda is sending thing after thing to stop them from reaching her which is a funny idea and while Wanda herself doesn't get that many funny moments in the episode the few that she does get very early on in the episode do come across as being quite funny even if they are jokes that this version of the character really wouldn't make it's just a shame that the makers of this episode only give Kathryn Hahn only one joke in the whole entire which is still a funny joke but at the same time they could have given her a few more jokes like maybe her jokes get darker and darker the more the episode goes on just to sort of hint that things aren't quite what they seem with Agnes but the joke that she does get about being bitten by a kid was a really funny joke in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this was still a really fun filled episode it's also one that's not as good as it really could have been either with the episode really falling under the weight of it's self enforced really short running time but at the same time this episode really does show that the makers of this show really do know how to set up things that become important later on in the shows run in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now the i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a really grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Terminator Zero SPOILER FREE Review

The Terminator franchise is one that has already conquered the world of live action through the use of both films and TV shows. Well it now sets it's sights on it's very animated projected with an anime TV show that has just dropped all eight of it's episodes and well you all just knew that I had to check this show the very first chance that I got and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FREE review that see The Terminator franchise head into a country for the first time ever with the show in question being called simply just "Terminator Zero" enjoy.

The plot of this show is when an scientist from the year 1997 comes close to unleashing an AI to compete with Skynet Skynet itself sends a Terminator back from the year 2022 to stop him once and for all. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot thats actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty the worst aspect of the show just because of the fact that the plot just wasn't all that knew or interesting as it's the same kind of Terminator plot that we've seen done better in the other movies heck even Terminator Genisys had a much more interesting plot as it at the very least tried to do something new and different with it's plot it failed to do so but it was at the very least trying to do something new and different here it felt like that the show was just going through the motions and while yes it had the Terminator IP attached to it and had all of the iconography it failed to understand what it was that made those things so iconic in the first place and the plot of this show does suffer because of it with the plot of this show also just feeling really weak as well with the plot of this show not even being really rather entertaining nor is it really rather engaging either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this show is André Holland as Malcolm Lee , Sonoya Mizuno as Eiko and Timothy Olyphant as The Terminator. Also starring in this show is Ann Dowd as The Prophet , Armani Jackson as Kenta , Carter Rockwood as Hiro , Gideon Adlon as Reika , Rosario Dawson as Kokoro , Sumalee Montano as Misaki and Ver. 2 , Fred Tatasciore as Captain Fujino , James Mathis III as Commander , Julie Nathanson as Annie , Nicolas Roye as Captain Shiraki , Tom Bromhead as 1nno and Ver. 1 and Vanessa Marshall as Natsuko.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about thew actual acting that;s actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that;s actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty really good. Which is both not that surprising but also really surprising it's not all that surprising given that alot of this shows actors are a bunch of really good actors who have turned in really good performances in other projects both animated and live action but it's also really surprising as this show actors are also some really unknown actors and as a result of that is the fact that it would have been unwise to expect a good performance from all of this shows young actors and yet that's exactly what we got with all of this shows actors turning soe really solid performances with the acting that's in this hoe very not really being helped by the fact that the scripts for this show is just so bad as it doesn't really give this shows actors alot to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in this very first place which is something that really does effect the overall quality of the acting that's in this very show.

Doing the animation for this show is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Production I.G. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty i in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty really good which given who is animating this show really isn't anything thats all that new as Production I.G nearly always produce really high quality animation for all pf there projects with the same thing also being true for this as well as the animation that's in this show looks like that it really does belong in a feature length film and not in a TV series as that's just good the animation that's in this show really is with the show making good use of blending 3D CGI animation with the more traditional 2D hand drawn animation with the show using the 3D CGI animation to pull of the types of shots that you just couldn't do in 2D animation with the shows 3D animation looking just as good as the shows 2D's animation as well with all of the shows characters having some really nice fluid movements to all of them as well.

This show does introduce us to new bunch of resistance fighters with the main one being Eiko who is alot better then Grace. As Eiko at least is a somewhat likable character and you can at least understand where he hatred of all things machine is coming from where as with Grace while she did start of as a likable character by the end of Terminator: Dark Fate she was just an annoying character who had no reason to hate machines out side of the fact that she's from the future and that's really it where as here with Eiko her hatred is a little bit more justified as we see just how much the terminators put her through prior to her going back in time and while that is indeed a small thing it is also something that adds to her character as it then becomes something that she has to try and overcome over the course of the shows eight episodes with this being helped by the fact that she does come across as being a really likable character as she is forms a bond with those that she's there to protect and sort of becomes a motherly figure to some of the characters eventually forming sort of a found family with those characters something that Grace would never be able to do as she's not that good of a characters where as with Eiko while yes it does take her some time to do all of that when she does reach thar point it feels right for here character to do so.

In a rather strange and bizarre move it was confirmed by this show show runner Mattson Tomlin has said that all of the prior films are indeed canon. This is something that really doesn't make sense when you take Terminator Genisys into account as that film created a whole new timeline of events one in which Sarah Connor meets the terminator in the seventies before it agrees to protect and she meets up with that films version of Kyle Reece in the eighties and yet now this show is saying that that film is now canon to the main timeline when it really isn't as all you'd have to do is watch that film and see that it's not canon as all it would do is mess up the already pretty messed up Terminator timeline as it is if anything this show should have been treated as being in it's own timeline one that's separate from the main timeline but close enough to where it can pull in certain characters and themes as and when it needs to and yet because it's now saying that everything is now canon to the show that creates a whole mess of things that will need to be addressed as going off of that statement that Mattson Tomlin said John Connor is now both the franchises biggest hero and it's biggest villain both at the exact same time and that's something that just doesn't work at all.

The Terminator in this show is a solid character but at the same time for a show that's named after him he really doesn't play that nig of a role in the plot of the show. While yes the main purpose of Eiko going back in time is because of him once they both get to Japan he does very little to advance the actual plot of the show but to be fair given how this show ends that does make sense with the show even including another machine which is an interesting aspect and the show does take the time to fully develop that storyline and the character that's involved with it but at the same time tho it also takes away from the character that we've come to see that being The Terminator and while yes The Terminator in the first movie do all that much to advance the plot of that film either they did make up for that in the sequel where as or his first anime outing the character is just there alot of time to remind us that this is a Terminator show and that's really it with this not really being helped by the fact that the character himself really isn't all that interesting either with the character showing next to no personality which again does work with the fact that he's a robot but at the same time he's robot that's able to blend in with other people and yet the makers of this show don't really give this character much of an actual personality.

Now then this show has / has an exact grand total running time of really no longer then exactly thirty minuets. With all of this shows first eight episodes being roughly around twenty nine minuets in length which is a rally solid running time for all of these episodes to have as the show really doesn't have all that much there interms of plot and as a result of that is the fact that this show really doesn't require really long running times in order to tell it's story in good way with alot of this show being made up of filler scenes that add nothing to the overall plot of the episode with the worst example of this being most of episode seven which mostly takes place in the year 2040 and has nothing to do with the main storyline of the show and is the very definition of filler as it's something that could have been left on the cutting room floor or spread out over the course of the show with those far future scenes being used more as flashforwards as this would then allow the show to focus more on it's main story and the scenes set in 2040 could then be used to create a mystery as to who these characters and when the reveal happens it would then be even more shocking then what they ended up being but I really will admit this show really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that;s actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that;s actually featured / resented to us in his very show was in all honesty not that bad. With this show having alot of really gory action in it as you do get to see people cut in half thanks to being gunned down by The Terminator and people do get quite brutally stabbed with this show being an adult anime but outside of those gory moments a few swear words and some very brief nudity the show really doesn't feel all that mature as it doesn't have any of the very heavy mature themes that were present in both the first and second film and yet even tho anime can do very adult anime shows and movies with mature themes and still have some really good action in them this show doesn't do that which makes the shows action feel more kid friendly as there only mature in the most basic of senses and while this show does have some good action in it it's not as good as it really could have been either as there was nothing all that interesting happening in them in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Overall this show does have all of the potential to be a really good show as there is alot of potential there for it to be a good show as all of the shows faults can very easily be fixed by the time that the next batch of episodes do release but at the same time it also doesn't do all that much to help with the sorry state that The Terminator franchise has been in since the release of Terminator: Dark Fate in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then  i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very show in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very show really does ern itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.

Doctor Who: The Crimson Horror Review

With a show like Doctor Who you never really know what kind of show that your going to get from episode to episode. As one episode might be fairly scary episode and the next episode might be one that's more comedic and lighter in tone with the episode that i'm going to be reviewing for you all today being a really creepy episode of the show and so then join me as I review the episode that sees a truly iconic actress join the show with the episode in question being called simply just "The Crimson Horror" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is when bodies start turning in Victorian Yorkshire Madame Vastra , Jenny Flint and Drax along with The Doctor and Clara set out to stop this evil scheme once and for all. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad as it was a really unique plot but at the same time it's also not that very good either with it being the type of plot that you'd expect from the show at this point in time only it does nothing new or interesting and as a result of that is the fact that this plot just feels like that's going through the motions and while yes this episodes plot can be really good in parts with it having some really good ideas but the plot also doesn't really flesh out those ideas to the point where they feel like there really good ideas and as a result of that is the fact that the ideas that this episodes plot does try to introduce only feel good on paper and that's really it with the plot of this episode also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Matt Smith as The Doctor , Jenna-Louise Coleman as Clara Oswald and Catrin Stewart as Jenny Flint. Also starring in this episode is Neve McIntosh as Madame Vastra , Dan Starkey as Strax , Rachael Stirling as Ada , Eve De Leon Allen as Angie , Kassius Carey Johnson as Artie , Brendan Patricks as Edmund & Mr Thursday , Graham Turner as Amos , Scott Stevenson as The Dipped Man , Olivia Vinall as Effie , Michelle Tate as Abigail , Jack Oliver Hudson as Thomas Thomas and Dame Diana Rigg as Mrs Gillyflower.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. This is something that not really all that new for this show as pretty much all of this shows episodes from this time period pretty much all have some really good acting in them with the same thing also being true for this episode as well with the true standout performers in this episode being both Matt Smith and Dame Diana Rigg both of whom just give phenomenal performances in this episode and it's there acting in this episode that really does make the episode really worth watching as that's just how good there acting in this episode really is with the acting that's in this episode really being helped by the fact that the script for this episode is just so good that all this episodes cast have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance really will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very episode. 

Doing the CGI for this episode is the legends and the really greats that are currently over at The Mill and Real SFX. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with this episode having very shockingly minimal about of CGI with there only really being one big CGI effect in the whole episode and that's the reveal of the rocket ship that Mrs Gillyflower plans on using to spread her poison and kill everyone with that rocket ship looking really good given the fact that Doctor Who is produced on a very small budget and yet this episodes CGI still looks ten times better then the CGI that's in multi-million dollar movies that came out last year and while yes this episodes could have been better in some places given the fact that this show is produced on a really small budget it's remarkable that the effects that are in this episode turned out as good as they did as on paper this episode effects really shouldn't have looked all that good and yet we somehow managed to get some really good effects in this episode.

This episode does gave some surprisingly effective scares for a kids TV show with the fact that The Doctor is pretty much close to his death bed when he first appears in the episode. Which is just such a creepy idea even the location of Victorian Yorkshire looking really creepy and adding a somewhat Gothic atmosphere to the episode something that is added with the characters of Jenny , Drax and Madame Vastra all three of whom really do get a chance to shine in this episode and all three of them combined really do add to the overall dark tone in this episode the only real issue with the episodes scares is the fact that alot of the scares that are in this episode are just a bunch of jump scares which is fine for one two scares but when that's the overall majority of this episodes scares then it really does show that the makers of this episode aren't really willing t do all that much creepy and scary with them instead just relying on the atmosphere and jump scares and that's really it and while the atmosphere does indeed work and while some of the jump scares are indeed really creepy you do need a majority of different scares in this episode in order to make this episodes scares as effective as they really could have been and yet by the very fact that the makers of this episode chose not to do that it really does limit the amount of actual good scares that are to be found in this very episode.

In what was a really shocking move this episode really doesn't feature The Doctor all that much with him not even appearing until at the very least the fifteen minuet mark. With him not appearing in the episode not really effecting the episodes quality as the episode is just so good in it's own right that you almost forget that he's not even appeared in the episode yet with Jenny , Drax and Madame Vastra being the episodes main characters which does make sense as this episode was meant to basically be a backdoor pilot for a spin off show featuring those characters and as a result of that is the fact that not having The Doctor appear for a good chunk of the episodes running time as that does allow those character to really shine in there own right and it is something that really does make you wonder what a show featuring those characters would have looked like and given just how popular that those characters really were back when this episode was first airing it also makes you wonder why they didn't get there own show as the three of them really could have lead there show and yet even with The Doctor not appearing for a small chunk of this episodes running time it also makes you wonder where he is and when he will show up in the episode as well.

This episodes villain Mrs Gillyflower really isn't all that strong of a villain as she doesn't really get alot of screen time in this episode. Yet what little screen time that she does get she makes the best used of it by showing just how evil that she could be with it even being revealed that she basically abused her won daughter and made her go blind all of the sake of some question to find out at what dosage does the human body start to resist against her own poison and while she does have a clear end goal in mind the fact that the she doesn't have alot of screen time really does harm her as a villain as it means that she really get alot of time to show us the audience just how good and how interesting of a villain that she really could have been and yet when she does act creepy she does come across as being a really creepy villain and one that had all the potential to be one of the greatest Doctor Who human villains out there and yet because of the fact that she doesn't get alot of screen time it also means that she can't become as fully developed as a character which in turn would make her not only a really interesting character but it would also go a really long way into making her a really creepy villain as well both of which are things that really would have helped her character in the long run.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty four minuets and thirty nine seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstanderd running time for this show to have and to this episodes credit it really does make the most of that running time by spending the time to give us some somewhat good characters and to really shows us why Jenny , Drax and Madame Vastra really do deserve there own show and while yes the episode really does have enough there interms of plot to really cover that large amount of running time the episode also really didn't need to be as along as it was as alot of the episodes running time is spent with either filler scenes that add nothing to the plot of pointless comedic scenes which create tonal whiplash with the episodes more serious and creepy tone and yet if those scenes where removed from the episode then nothing that's actually important to the plot of the episode would need to be removed as all your removing is the pointless scenes that nobody would miss in the first place with the time that's then freed up could then be used to give the episodes cast some actual character development and make them feel like fully three dimensional characters but I really will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us n this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With this episodes action really being alot better then what it really had any right to be as it really does show us that even a character like Jenny a character that we really haven't seen in a fight before now really can not only hold her own in a fight but can also get the best of several men all trying to fight her at the exact same time which yes might come across as being a bit campy but it's also something that really does work in the context of the episode with the best action in the whole episode being the episodes action packed third act which is just so exciting to see from it's start all the way to it's finish with even the more really lighter moment with Drax near the end oddly working really in it's favor as it's something that that character would do which really does show that the makers of this show really can make a really good action sequence when they really want to that is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this episode was alot better then it what it really had any right to be as on paper this episode shouldn't have been that good and yet for one reason or another this episode turns out to be a really fun episode that is also a very criminally underrated episode in the shows history in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.
