Doctor Who: The Abominable Snowmen Review

 

Doctor Who fans right now if rumours are to be believed then we are currently at the end of this run of animated reconstructions. Which is such a shame because right now these animated releases are a great way to introduce new fans to these classic stories and even tho i've had this story for a good few weeks this is the first time that i've been able to review it and so then join me as I review the episode that is Deborah Watling's favourite episode with the episode in question being called simply just "The Abominable Snowmen" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is after The Doctor , Jamie and Victoria land in Tibet in 1935 they discover a plan for world domination. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with this episodes plot being genuinely entertaining in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Patrick Troughton as The Doctor , Frazer Hines as Jamie McCrimmon and Deborah Watling as Victoria Waterfield. Also starring in this episode is Jack Watling as Professor Travers , Wolfe Morris as Padmasambhava , Charles Morgan as Songsten , Norman Jones as Khrisong , David Grey as Rinchen , David Spenser as Thonmi , Raymond Llewellyn as Sapan and David Baron as Ralpachan.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With all of this episode cast turning in some truly wonderful performances which is to be expected given that Doctor Who even at it's worst nearly always has some really good acting within it's episodes in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the animation for all six episodes of this mostly missing adventure is Digitoonz Media & Entertainment PVT LTD. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good and is quite easily among some of the best animation that has been in any one of these Doctor Who missing episode animations in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

What I wasn't expecting is the fact that they gave the character of Victoria quite a lot to interms of the plot. Since she's there for pretty much every single event that happens in this plot heck even a subplot in one of the episodes revolves entirely around her and this was a nice surprise since alot of the Doctor Who animations that I own have this character in a rather small role and so it was nice to see her take on a much more bigger role for his adventure and it's something that I felt worked really well in this episode in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

One thing that I really didn't like about this episode is the fact at least from an animation standpoint they really didn't make The Yeti seem all that frightening. Which is a shame because on paper they do sound really scary but here in this animation they really didn't make them out to be that scary instead they just come across as exactly what they are and that's robots that are being controlled instead of actually scary monsters that we the audience should be afraid of in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

These animations would always make small changes to episodes either by trimming scenes down a bit or just straight up cutting scenes out. However this episode changes entire ethnicities which while I can fully understand why they did that since in the original broadcast episodes all of the monks where all played by white British men in make up however by changing all of that and keeping the original vocal performances intact your drawing even more attention to the design changes and plus if your doing a reconstruction of something then you owe to those involved to keep alot of things that was made for the original broadcast episode intact as they were back when it was first being made and then thus being broadcast in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this episodes exact running time even was I do know that for a fact that this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly two hours and twenty minuets. Which I have to admit really did fly by this is because every single one of this episodes six episodes is all about advancing the plot of the episode and because of that this episode really does have some truly great pacing to it with all of it's episodes really being needed to tell this one whole story in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this is an action episode that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. Since all of the Yeti's where just men in suits and so they really could do alot with them action action wise but they do all that they could have done with them action wise and that really does work well enough in this episodes favour in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this was a very enjoyable adventure and while it as alot better then the The Web Of Fear animation animation wise I think that the The Web Of Fear has the much more better and scarier storyline to it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the good things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means  that this very episode erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

My First Impressions Of The Batwheels TV Series

 

Batman is a character that has starred in various animated projects over the years however what all of those projects have in common is the fact that they were all made with either family audiences or grown ups in mind. The show that i'm going to be talking about today however has a much more different audience in mind and so then join me as I give you my first impressions of the a show that is aimed at much more younger demographic with the show in question being called simply just "Batwheels" enjoy.

The plot of this first is that a bunch of villains cars want to steal Batman's Batcomputer and so then the Batcomputer brings to life the Batmobile and various other vehicles in the Batcave to life to combat this threat. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty just your fairly basic kids action show plot and nothing more then that which given this shows target auidence isn't that much of a bad thing at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this show is Jacob Bertrand as Bam , Jordan Reed as Redbird , Madigan Kacmar as Bibi and Noah Bentley as Buff. Also starring in this show is Lilimar as Batwing , Kimberly Brooks as The Batcomputer and The Limo Driver , Ethan Hawke as Bruce Wayne / Batman , A.J. Hudson as Robin , Leah Lewis as Barbera Gordan / Batgirl , Jess Harnell as The Penguin , Griffin Burns as Prank , SungWon Cho as Badcomputer and The Riddler , Josey Montana McCoy as Quizz , Mick Wingert as The Joker and Mobile Operations Expert , Regi Davies as Mr. Freeze and Chandni Parekh as Harley Quinn.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. With all of this episodes cast turning in some rather solid performances however I will admit that both Ethan Hawke and Chandni Parekh just don't sound right as their respective characters in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the animation for not only this very episode but also for this whole entire show is Superprod Studio. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty OK at best inmy freaking opinions anyways / at least.

If there's one character that really shouldn't be in this show at all let alone be in this very episode it's The Joker. Simply because of the fact that this character really doesn't lend himself to being a child friendly villain since The Jokers "jokes" are usually things that are only funny to him and are deadly to everybody else and yet when you rob the character of this aspect to his character then the character himself might as well be another character because of the fact that at that point he is no longer The Joker in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I have to admit that this show was just as harmless as I thought that it would be which I really did like since its a great way to get young kids into the comics. Which is in the end going to be a good thing and I do hope that this show does cause young kids to want to pick up any of the various Batman comic books since that could then lead to them becoming life long fans of the character in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

It really doesn't make sense for any member of the Batfamily to be in this show at all because now the writers of this show are going to have to write these characters out of every single episode. On top of that they really make Batman seem dumb in this episode since they hide the identities to all of the Batwheels team from Batman , Robin and Batgirl and Batman doesn't show or even hint at the fact that he knows that there lying which makes the so called world's greatest detective seem really dumb in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly thirty three minuets and thirty eight seconds. Which is a tad bit of short running tome for this special premiere episode to last since it has so much to do and not alot of time in order to do it and it just can't accomplish in that incredibly short amount of running time and as such plot points feel rather rushed and unearned instead of coming across as being rather natural and organic which in the end does more harm to this episode then good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

So now then since this show is an action show and there is action in this very episode that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. At least for a show that's aimed at very little kids and plus there's only s much that you can actually do when all of your main heroes and villains are vehicles of some sort in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this wasn't a bad first episode it wasn't a particularly good one either however while I can't see adults or teenagers liking this show I can see very little kids becoming huge fan of this show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this episode in this very post and since this only my first impressions of the show i'm not going to give this show a rating but I will review this show if i'm still watching by the time that the final episode is either released or aired.

Cars On The Road TV Series Review

 

The Cars franchise is one that not alot of PIXAR fans enjoy but at the same time it's also one that alot of kids enjoy. Hence why we've gotten three Cars movie , two spin off movies and now another TV series and I will admit that I did find the idea for this show to be quite an enjoyable one and so then join me as I give you my review of the TV series that brings us back into the world of Cars with the TV series in question being called simply just "Cars On The Road" enjoy.

The plot of this series is Meter is invited to his sisters and so then he nd his best friend Lightening McQueen go on a cross country road trip on their way to her wedding. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual wedding that's actually featured / presented to us in this very TV show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very TV show was in all honesty not that bad with the cross country set up being used to it's fullest advantage and a lot of really fun stories coming out of this one and simple set up in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this show is Larry The Cable Guy as Mater , Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen and Bonnie Hunt as Sally. Also starring in this very TV show is Jenifer Lewis as Flo , Lloyd Sherr as Fillmore , Cheech Marin as Ramone , Guido Quaroni as Guido , Tony Shalhoub as Luigi , Tania Gunadi as Lisa , Ruth Livier as Louise , Steve Purcell as Randy , Kathy Holly as Speed Demon , Masa Kanome as Noriyuki , Quinta Brunson as Ivy , Megan Cavanagh as Mae Pillar-Durev and Bella Cadavre , Hayden Bishop as Kay Pillar-Durev and 1st AD , Zeno Robinson as Lance The Writer and Jeremy , Dave Fennoy as Town Marshall and Justice Stern , Tom Bromhead as Cap'n Long Leggy , Debra Cardona as Squat , Cristela Alonzo as Cruz Ramirez , Dana Powell as Mato and Oscar Camacho as Mateo.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty really good. Which is something that I thought to be rather surprising since the acting in this franchise has either been OK or bad and so to see actually good acting in this show was a welcome surprise in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the animation for this show is of course the legends and the greats that are currently over at Pixar Animation Studios. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty really good which considering that is a PIXAR product isn't that surprising but what is surprising is the fact that this shows animation is movie quality animation in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

What I found to be rather odd is the fact that one of this shows episodes is basically one huge parody of the Mad Max franchise. Even down to the Mad Max inspired cars having Australian accents which was pretty cool to see but at the same time I have to wonder why they chose to parody an adult film franchise in what is a kids TV show since no little kid is going to know what Mad Max is and so then spoofing the Mad Max franchise just didn't make any kind of sense whatsoever in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This show isn't the first show to be based in the world of the Cars franchise with that honor going to Cars Toons. With both this show and Cars Toons being very similar in the fact that that both feature the character of Meter as a main character and the fact that they both have episodes which could also serve as short films however where the two separate has one overflowing narrative which does get brought up in several episodes and I have to say that it was nice to see a Cars TV show not only have overflowing narrative but also have several episodes that tie directly into each other since it provides us with a nice sense of continuity in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

I really didn't like the fact that all of the weird things that they do in this show like the Mad Max spoof for example don't play into the overall story at large. Which is a shame because those types of episodes are some really fun but when they add nothing to the overall story it makes you wonder why it was included in the first place since you very easily could have dedicated that time or that episode to advancing the overall plot of the show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this show has / had an exact grand total running of roughly one hour and thirty minuets with the show having nine episodes all of which last no longer then ten minuets. Which I felt was the right amount of time and the right amount of episodes for this show to last since this show really doesn't have alot there interms of plot and so having this show last longer would be stretching an already thin storyline even thinner in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since is a comedy that means that I have to actually featured / presented to us in this very TV show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very TV show was in all honesty not that bad. Since there are a few good jokes in this show but at the same there are also quite alot of some very bad or even just straight up unfunny jokes in this very show which isn't a good thing at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Overall this was a harmless TV show and it's one that I could very much see alot of little kids watching since this show is as harmless as it gets in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Chosen Review

 

TV fans it's ever so rare that a great TV series has a great ending since they more often then not fail to stick the landing. However there was one show that had a fantastic run and stuck the landing and that's the very episode that i'm going to talk about today simply because it is such a good final ever episode and so then join me as I review that is the final time that we've seen Buffy on our TV screens with the episode being called simply just "Chosen" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is Buffy and all her alley's gather for one last fight one which will determine the fate of the whole entire world as we know it. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with this episodes plot doing a very good job of making the threat of the episode seem very menacing and really very epic in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy Summers , Nicholas Brendon as Xander and Emma Caulfield as Anya. Also starring in this episode is Michelle Trachtenberg as Dawn Summers , James Marsters as Spike , Alyson Hannigan as Willow , Anthony Stewart Head as Giles , Eliza Dushku as Faith , Nathan Fillion as Caleb , David Boreanaz as Angel , Tom Lenk  as Andrew , Iyari Limon as Kennedy , Sarah Hagan as Amanda , Indigo as Rona , D. B. Woodside as Principal Wood and Felicia Day as Vi.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty very good. With all of this episodes cast turning in some really good performances all of which work really well for the story that this episode is trying to tell in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the CGI for this episode is the legends and the freaking greats that are currently over at Zoic Studios. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty pretty bad which was to be expected since this episode was released in 2003 and so then of course the CGI isn't going to be that good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

While this episode might have been the last time that we saw the Buffy characters appear on our TV screens the show did infact continue onwards in comic book form. With new "seasons" being presented in various comic book series which I have to admit was a great way to continue the series just because you could do alot more outlandish things in comic books that you just couldn't do in the realm of live action media in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I have to admit that I really didn't care for any of the romance stuff that this episode included simply because of the fact that it had very little to no impact on the plot of this episode. Which makes you wonder why this episodes writer and director and this shows creator and producer Joss Wheadon chose to include it since they very easily could have had be resolved on the Buffy spin off show Angel since it would have made alot more sense to have be resolved on that show then it does in this episode since the main focus of this episode should be on this big epic final fight in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I have to admit that I really did like Buffy's speech about giving every single who could have the power to defeat evil that power. Since it's a sign of just how far this character has come since the Buffy that we got in the show's early years just wouldn't do that and yet here because of the fact that she's matured so much over the course of the show she does it and that is the sign of a well written and in this case strong female character and yes I do think that Buffy is a strong female character because even in this episode we see her struggle to reach her goal and what it costs her when she does reach that goal in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then while I cannot remember whatever this episodes exact grand total running time even was I do know that for a fact that this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly forty one minuets. Which for an episode that's as epic as this one really isn't that long at all since in order to do this episode just this episodes running time would have had to have been at the very least one hour and thirty minuets long in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With the of course the stand out action set piece being the truly epic final battle where we get to see pretty all of Buffy's alleys fighting and it's just such a cool action sequence in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this episode is a truly fantastic episode to end this truly iconic and this truly fantastic series on since it does something that very few TV show finales do and that's give us a truly satisfying ending in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode erns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Doctor Who: The Ice Warriors Review

 

Doctor Who fans with what is for now at the very least the last Doctor Who animation being released today. I thought that it was a good time to take a look back and review the story that airs right after this newest animation and so then join me as I review the story that sees the introduction of some truly classic Doctor Who villains with the actual story in question being called simply just "The Ice Warriors" enjoy.

The plot of this story is The Doctor , Jamie and Victoria find themselves of Earth during a new ice age and when one of the scientists discovers an alien frozen in ice it's up to The Doctor t save the day before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very story well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very story was really good with the plot itself being very well written and entertaining and at times quite thrilling and exciting as well in my freaking opinions anyways /  at least.

Also starring in this episode was Peter Barkworth as Clent , Peter Sallis as Penley , Wendy Gifford as Miss Garrett , Angus Lennie as Storr , Peter Diamond as Davis , George Waring as Arden , Malcolm Taylor as Walters , Roy Skelton as The Voice Of The Computer , Bernard Bresslaw as Varga , Roger Jones as Zondal , Sonny Caldinez as Turoc , Michael Attwell as Isbur and Tony Harwood as Rintan.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. With all of this episodes cast turning in some really good performances which given who is starring in this episode really isn't that much of a surprise at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the animation for episodes two and three of this story are the legends and the greats that are currently over at Qurios. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very story well then I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very story was in all honesty not that bad however that's also the issue because it's not that very good either since it just looks cheap and very stilted looked in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This episode does introduce us to The Ice Warriors and I have that there introduction into this story does make them come across as very menacing threat. However what lets them down is the fact that it's very hard to tell who is who since there's no difference in the designs of each Ice Warrior heck i've seen this episode this episode several times over the years and i've only just worked out that it's Turoc that's in the caves with Victoria that's how hard it is to tell each Ice Warrior apart from each other in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I have to admit that I really didn't fully understand what there plan was since they never make it clear what it is that the villains of this story even want. Which is a shame because on paper having a small squadron of Aliens close to attacking you should make for interesting characters however you also need to give them an end goal since then we the audience would be able to fully understand what the stakes are and when you don't do that or you don't make it clear what the villains end goal even is then you've lost all dramatic tension that could've been built up in the episode in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

To me it seems that the character of Victoria really had nothing to do in this episode since all she does is get captured , run away and either scream or cry and that's really it. Which is a shame because you could have had some fish out of water comedy with her earlier on in the episode and you could have had her show us some her intelligence since her father was an inventor it would have made sense that she herself would know alot of things and that could have played into the story in a very meaningful way in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This story is six episodes long and while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this episodes grand total, running time I do know that for a fact that this episode has / had a rough grand total running time of roughly two hours and thirty minuets. Which is a bit of a long time for this story to last simply because of the fact that there really isn't enough there in terms of either plot or story to cover six twenty plus minuet episodes of a TV show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this is Doctor Who that means that I have to actually talk about the actual villains that are actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual villains that are actually featured / presented to us in this very episode were in all honesty not that bad. With this episodes villains coming across as being quite menacing and with how they pronounce there S's makes them sound rather creepy as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.    

Overall this wasn't a bad episode altho it is an episode that does have it's fair share of problems and it's those problems that were for me at least very hard to freaking ignore in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

My SPOILER FREE First Impressions Of The The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power TV Series

 

The Lord Of The Rings fans the day that many of us have dreaded is now finally here since after decades of conquering the big screen the franchise now takes it's aim at the small screen and well if the trailers were anything to go by that it was always going to be an uphill battle. So then join me as I give you my SPOILER FREE first impressions of the show that none of us wanted or even needed with the freaking show in question being called simply just "The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power" enjoy.

The plot of this show so far seems to be that after an epic war Galadriel a solider seems determined to find out if the dark lord Sauron is indeed gone for good. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes was in all honesty not that bad but that's also the issue because it's not all that good either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Starring in these first two episodes is Ismael Cruz Córdova as Arondir , Nazanin Boniadi as Bronwyn and Charles Edwards as Celebrimbor. Also starring in these first two episodes is Beau Cassidy as Dilly Brandyfoot , Markella Kavenagh as Elanor Brandyfoot , Robert Aramayo as Elrond , Morfydd Clark as Galadriel , Daniel Weyman as The Stranger , Sophia Nomvete as Disa , Owain Arthur as Durin IV , Peter Mullan as Durin III , Megan Richards as Poppy Proudfellow and Sir Lenny Henry as Sadoc Burrows.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad. However that's also the issue because this franchise demands great acting and great writing and sadly these first two episodes doesn't give us either one of those two things in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the CGI for not only these episodes but for also the rest of this series is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Industrial Light & Magic. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty pretty bad with the CGI being being laughable at best even more so when you take into account how much Amazon invested into this series and as such you'd expect there to be better looking CGI effects in both these episodes and in this very show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This show is for some strange reason a prequel to both the books and the live action Peter Jackson films. Which means that since this show features characters that appear in both the books and the films that we now already know where all of the characters are going to end up and it also means that those characters can't die because we've seen them appear in much better Lord Of The Rings adaptations and so then all drama and all threat and tension that could have been built up is now officially lost in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

These episodes really don't feel like that they belong in the world of the The Lord Of The Rings since there's nothing about these first two episodes screams J.R.R. Tolkien. Which given by what the actors have been saying when promoting this show it seems like that all of those involved weren't interested in making a faithful adaptation of Tolkien's world which is a shame because the world of Tolkien's Middle Earth is so rich and so full diversity that it could have made for a decent TV show as it already was in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

If you saw my review of The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King then you'll remember that I said that that film was made by fans. Well this show and more espically these episodes are made by people who aren't fans and the difference so obvious because the films treated it's source material and it's characters with respect where as this show and these first two episodes aren't treating the source material with respect and it really does show through in both the writing for these episodes and how the characters are written. Like for example Galadriel isn't a warrior she's somebody who will only pick up a sword and shield if all other options have been exhausted first and she's not the kind of character to go on what is basically a revenge mission either this is just a sign that the makers of this show have no idea about the characters that there adapting for their very own TV show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then these episodes have a combined grand total running time of roughly two hours and fifteen minuets. With each episode coming in at roughly one hour and five (episode one) and one hour and seven (episode two) minuets long respectively which doesn't do these episodes any kind of favours whatsoever since both of these episodes are incredibly slow paced with there being very little plot or story and that really does make both of these episodes feel pretty boring in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since there is alot of action in these first two episodes that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad. With the action that we get in these first two episodes actually being the best freaking part of both of the episodes in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall these first two episodes aren't that good which is a shame because when these episodes want to be like Tolkien that's when we get the best part in the episode and both of these episodes are very visually stunning to look at in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well s all of the bad things that are in these first two episodes in this very post and since this only my first impressions of the show i'm not going to give this show a rating but I will review this show if i'm still watching by the time that the final episode is either released or aired.

The Inbetweeners: First Day Review

 

I've reviewed both of the The Inbetweeners movies quite a few times by now however i've never taken a look at the actual show. Well that ends right as i've finally say down and watched an episode of the show just to see if it still holds up all of these many years later and so then join me as I review the first episode of The Inbetweeners TV show with the episode in question being called simply just "First Day" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is Will McKenzie enters his first day at a public sith form school where he struggles to make new friends. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad since it was a rather simple plot and really that's all you want from a sitcom plotline in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Simon Bird as Will McKenzie , James Buckley as Jay Cartwright and Blake Harrison as Neil Sutherland. Also starring in this episode is Joe Thomas as Simon Cooper , Henry Lloyd-Hughes as Mark Donovan , Anabel Barnston as Susie , John Seaward as John Webster , Greg Davies as Phil Gilbert , Richie Hart as David Glover , Emily Head as Carli D'Amato , Belinda Stewart-Wilson as Polly McKenzie , Alex Macqueen as Kevin Sutherland , Robin Weaver as Pamela Cooper and Ollie Holme as Tom.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good with all four main boys not only turning good performances but they also have some really freaking great chemistry together as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

If your like me and you grew up around the time when this show was being released then you either a fan of this show or a fan of Skins. Very few of us were fans of both and I was a fan of both shows however I can very easily admit that this show is a more realistic approach to how teenagers are and act where as Skins takes a more fantastical approach to how teenagers act and are however both shows are very enjoyable shows and both shows deserve all of the love that they get in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

All of the kids in this show and in this episode are presented as relatable characters since everything that the characters go through are all things that teenagers themselves go through. Heck even the main four boys represent people that are present in alot of people's friend groups and so everybody knows somebody who is like these characters and that makes them and their stories seem all the more relatable because everybody can relate to at the very least one of this episodes characters in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I have to admit that this episode and this show wouldn't be made today since this show is so raunchy and this episode pulls no punches. Which are things that wouldn't fly today which is a shame because that's what makes this episode feel relatable since how the kids talk in this episode are how teenagers talk in real life and that makes this episode seem all the more funny because it now allows us to laugh at ourselfs in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.  

I will admit that there some things about this episode that I personally didn't like like for example the story which is rather thin at best. The other thing that I didn't like about this episode is the fact that absolutely none of the four boys are given anything likable about them which I get it that might be the point but at the same time when your creating a TV show even if your characters are being realistically you still need to give them something that's likable about their personality in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this episodes running time even was I do know that for a fact that this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly twenty two minuets. Which is pretty much the bogstanderd running time for any sitcom to last and to this episodes credit it really does last the perfect amount of time since it really doesn't have enough their in terms of plot to last anything longer then twenty two minuets in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.  

So now then since this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all really good. With alot of this episodes jokes landing and getting a huge laugh out of me and while there are some unfunny jokes in this episode those are very few and far between with this episode containing alot more funny jokes then unfunny jokes in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this episode still holds up really well which was something that I wasn't expecting to be the case and while there are a few issues with this episode this is still a very good and a very funny episode of this very funny TV show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode and well then that means that this very episode erns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8.5 out of 10 from me.
