WWE Raw July 12th 2021 Review

 

Ladies and gentlemen WWE Raw has been pretty unwatchable as of late and well I have to wonder when will Raw get good or even watchable again. Well it turns that we won't have to wait until Raw returns to being infront of a live crowd for WWE Raw to start being good or even watchable again as this very / particular episode of Raw was actually very watchable and was also very good and so join me as I review the July 12th 2021 episode of the show that is called simply just "WWE Raw" aka "Raw" enjoy.

Now then the biggest storyline going on on Raw right now is the storyline feud between The All Mighty Bobby Lashley and Kofi Kingston and well I have to say that just based of off this episode this story line is really entertaining. Simply because it's something new and fresh both Bobby Lashley and Kofi Kingston have some great chemistry together. It seems that they are also starting a storyline between Alexa Bliss and Eva Marie this is despite the fact that Eva Marie is already in a storyline with Piper Niven and yeah as you can tell i'm not that sold on the possibility of an Alexa Bliss vs Eva Marie storyline just because it just seems pointless but her who knows it could turn out to be an actually good storyline but sadly only time will tell tho.

Just like how last Friday's episode of Smackdown was the last episode of Smackdown to be broadcast from the WWE Thunderdome. This episode of Raw is the last piece of WWE television that will be broadcast from the award winning and fan pleasing WWE Thunderdome since Money In The Bank 2021 will take place infront of a live crowd and from this weeks episode of Smackdown onwards both Raw and Smackdown will go back to being performed infront of a live crowd.

I have to say that as much as I like the WWE Thunderdome I cannot wait to see a live crowd back on WWE television on a weekly basis. Just simply because the WWE is a product that works at it's best when the WWE superstars have a live crowd to feed off of and that has been sorely missed for the past year and a half and I hope that once a live crowd is back watching WWE television on a weekly basis then hopefully the WWE creative team will up there efforts and make Raw a much better show and hopefully that will include writers who actually know about the product that they are currently writing for.

One of the characters / gimmicks i'm really starting to love right now is that of Nikki ASH just simply due to the fact of how entertaining Nikki ASH well and truly is. Yes we have seen the superhero character done before but that doesn't mean that the superhero type of character isn't entertaining because when it's done right like it is being done here then it can be very entertaining to watch and all of the segments that feature that character are also very entertaining to watch as well in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then there is a very huge chance that the commentators might have just gave away who is going to win the match at Money In the bank between Bobby Lashley vs Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship. As the commentators for this particular episode of WWE / WWF Raw kept on bigging up Kofi Kingston and doing nothing to build up Bobby Lashley as someone who could quite possibly very easily beat Kofi Kingston and so if Bobby Lashley does indeed win at Money In The Bank then blame the Raw commentary team because they would well and truly deserve it in my opinion anyways / at least.

I will say that compared to more recent episodes of raw this particular episode of Raw is actually pretty good yes it does have it's faults which i'm currently in the process of talking but when you compare to issues that were present in more recent episodes then the issues that are in this episode don't seem as bad. I have no idea why this episode is actually pretty good since as far as I can tell there's been no change to the WWE creative team for Raw but whatever happened that made this show I hope that it continues to happen because my god do we need more good main WWE roster shows right freaking now.  

Now usually I personally find that the "Alexa's Playground" segments are usually fairly entertaining which is mostly because of the fact that I love horror films and this very version of Alexa Bliss is clearly a horror theme character but for some strange I just didn't enjoy this weeks "Alexa's Playground" segment. Which now that I think about it might be because it really served no purpose and wasn't actually creepy at all and so it was just there just to pad out the running time which is something that they didn't really need to do since they have some fairly long matches taking place on this weeks episode of WWE / WWF Raw.

Now then this particular episode of WWE / WWF Raw had a grand total running time of exactly two hours and five minuets and forty one seconds and well if i'm being really freaking honest here people this show didn't really need to be that long at all whatsoever in my opinion anyways / at least and they really did make alot of things long to reach that running time. Like for example they had a nearly two minute opening hype package just for the Bobby Lashley v Kofi Kingston feud which we don't really need reminding of since it's the biggest storyline on Raw right now plus like i said there was the pointless and aimless "Alexa's Playground" segment and so this show could have done without those two things it actually would have been a slightly better show in my very freaking opinion anyways / at least.

Now then since this is a weekly wrestling show and there are actual wrestling matches that are on this very wrestling show which means that I have to to actual talk about the actual wrestling that is featured / presented to us in this actual episode and well in all honesty the wrestling that's featured / presented to us in this very episode wasn't that bad. However the issue is that alot of the time it wasn't good either take for example the women's fatal four way match which was between Nikki ASH , Naomi , Asuka and Alexa Bliss now on paper that match sounds awesome but there were a few botches in the match which were very clear as day to see and plus alot of the time it was just two or three women fighting in the ring with a fourth woman being knocked out of the ring for a shockingly long time and that brought down the quality of the match for me personally but when this show did have a good wrestling match my god did you really know bout it since the good wrestling matches that are on this show are well and truly phenomenal in my opinion anyways / at least. 

Overall this Money In The bank 2021 go home show was a lot better then the Hell In A Cell 2021 Raw go home show was but even so this episode is at best just above average but since we've spent so long with just straight up bad shows having a show that is at best just above average is a very good thing indeed in my opinion anyways / at least. Now then since i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode that means that this particular / very episode of WWE / WWF Raw gets a 5.5 out of 10 from me.

WWF Smackdown April 12th 2001 Review

 

Wrestling fans i've covered alot of classic and current WWF PPV's and trust me when I say that I plan on reviewing alot more classic and current WWF PPV's in the future. However i've never one reviewed an episode of Smackdown and well that is something that is going to end right freaking now and well I have to say that this episode of WWF Smackdown is really freaking good and so join me as I review the April 12th 2001 of the WWF wrestling show that is called simply just "WWF Smackdown" and so enjoy the review everyone.

Of course the main plot line going across the entire WWF programming at this time is of course the formation of The Power Trip and well rather shocking only Triple H has a part to play in this episode of Smackdown. Since the show gets rid of Stone Cold Steve Austin by the thirty minuet mark and Stone Cold Steve Austin is barely mentioned or referenced for the res of this particular episode and while usually i'd say that you don't need to have seen the rest of the shows to fully understand what the storylines going into this show are in this case I think that you should watch some of the shows before watching this particular episode simply because the other storylines that are currently going in the WWF at this time period aren't really as defined as the story of the formation on The Power Trip is in my opinion anyways / at least.

This show does feature the classic circles set which is the set that I personally grew up watching and I have to say that seeing it again in this episode it filled me with a sense of nostalgia for this particular / very Smackdown set / stage and however with that being said this set / stage does look a little bit boring to me personally. Since there's nothing visually interesting about this particular set / stage which is a shame because this is an iconic set / stage and so it's just a shame that it doesn't quite hold up well enough today.

Now then this was actually one of the many episodes of WWF Smackdown that I actually watched as a kid heck I can even tell you what channel Smackdown used to air on in the UK as well as the day that Smackdown used to air on in the UK and what day that it used to air in the UK as well. However I strongly remember the main even for this particular episode being alot more epic then what it actually was but that might be because I was eleven years old when I first saw this particular episode of WWF Smackdown. 

Now then one of the few things that the commentary team for this particular episode of WWF Smackdown keep on reminding us of is the the fact that both Lita and Matt Hardy are at home nursing injuries which they sustained when Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin attacked Lita and Matt and Jeff Hardy with steel chairs on the previous episode of WWF Raw Is War. This is really something that they didn't really need to do because we already have not one but two video packages showing us what happens and so we don't really need to hear the commentary team reminding us of the attack every five minuets or so.

The other thing that they kept on bringing up on / in this particular episode was the failed American football league the XFL. Which was something that I personally just found to be hilarious simply because they kept on saying how the XFL was having a great first season and yet it wasn't it just simply wasn't since the ratings for the XFL were so bad that the league was cancelled after it's first season and it would be brought back until 2018 where it failed again and so here's hoping that Dwayne Johnson has some much more better luck with the XFL then Vince McMahon ever did.

Now then even tho i've been fairly positive about this particular episode of WWE /WWF Smackdown thus far there are some thing that I personally didn't like about the show. Like for example I didn't like the fact that apart from the main event alot of what we see in this show is just basically filler which is a shame because they had alot of very talented wrestlers working on this very show and yet alot of them are given nothing to do or even nothing to work with which when you have a card that's as good as the one that this show has having alot of wrestlers just doing nothing is not a good thing at all in my opinion anyways / at least.

I will admit that it was nice seeing very big name stars appearing on Smackdown simply because even tho guys like Roman Reigns and Edge among many others are big name stars they just simply aren't on the level of Triple H in his prime or even Stone Cold Steve Austin in this prime or even Jeff freaking Hardy in his prime and so it was good to see those guys appearing on this particular episode of WWF Smackdown. As it makes WWF Smackdown seem like a big deal and plus it gives them a chance to carry on with any storylines that might have started on WWF Raw Is War and that kind of synergy is something that you just don't see in todays WWE / WWF product but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways.

Now then this particular episode of WWE / WWF Smackdown has / had a grand total running time of one hour and twenty seven minuets and forty four seconds and well if i'm being really freaking honest here that running time really did effect the quality of the show for me personally. Since everything just felt like that it was on fast forward and as such it felt like that there was no room to breathe or to catch a breath because everything was moving that fast and as such I really do wish that this particular episode of WWE / WWF Smackdown was alot closer to two hours since then the audience would be able to catch their breath alot easier and storylines would then be allowed to develop at a more naturel pace but that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways.

Now then since is a wrestling show and that thus that means that there are wrestling matches that are to be found on this wrestling show and so that means that I have t actually talk about the wrestling that are featured / presented to us on this actual wrestling show and well the wrestling that's featured / presented to us in this wrestling show is really good. However I did notice at least a botches which are in the Test Vs Val Venis match with the first one being when the rest of the The Right To Censor start attacking Test on the outside you can quite clearly see The GoodFather not actually connecting with Test and the second one being when Bull Buchanan tries to a scissors kick to test on the outside and you can just tell that he didn't do the move right because Bull Buchanan doesn't land how you normally would land when doing a scissors kick and so if anything he lands like you normally would when your performing a leg drop.

Overall this wasn't a bad episode per say infact it was one that I had alot of fun watching but at the same time I do wish that pretty much all of the matches that were on the card for this particular episode could have gone on bit longer and infact apart from the main event none of the matches that are featured / presented to us in this very / particular episode last longer then four minuets with the main event lasting just over eight minuets. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this particular episode that means that this particular episode gets a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness Dubbed Full TV Series SPOILER FREE!!!!! Review

 

Resident Evil fans the franchise that has spawned several movies both animated and live action is also about to spawn it's first ever American live action TV series for Netflix but before that tho we have the franchises first ever animated TV series which is also being released via Netflix. I will very fully admit to you all reading this review right here and right now that I completely forgot about this show even being a thing let alone when it was coming out and so join me as I give my one hundred percent SPOILER FREE review of the TV series that let's face it alot of forgot was even a thing with the TV series in question being called simply just "Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness" enjoy.

The plot of this series is after a zombie outbreak occurs at the White House Leon S. Kennedy and a team of agents are tasked with finding who started this attack on the White House meanwhile Claire Redfield investigates a drawing that a child made in the fictional war torn country of Penamstan with the picture depicting what looks to be another zombie outbreak. Now then in terms of what I personally thought about the plot of this show / TV series in all honesty I personally thought that the plot of this show / TV series was at best decent since it was pretty / fairly engaging but at the same time the plot is also fairly forgettable and as well as being pretty / fairly boring as well at the same time in my opinion anyways / at least.

Starring in this dubbed version of this particular TV show / TV series is Nick Apostolides as Leon S. Kennedy and Stephanie Panisello as Claire Redfield. Also starring in this TV series is , Aleks Le as Jun See , Anthony Tai as Yu En , Billy Kametz as Patrick , Brad Venable as Ryan , Doug Stone as Wilson , Joe J. Thomas as President Graham , Jona Xiao as Shen May , Ray Chase as Jason , Armen Taylor as Maddog , Bill Butts as Maddog , Chris Tergliafera as Maddog , David Vincent as Maddog , Kaiji Tang as Spacer and Xander Mobus as Maddog.

In terms of what I personally thought about the acting thats featured / presented to us in this TV series well then in all honesty I honestly really did like the acting that's featured / presented to us in this very TV series. While I have no idea if any of the voice cast have played their respective characters in the Resident Evil video games I can honestly say that I wish that Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello get more chances to play their respective characters as they are really good at playing their respective characters in this particular / very TV series.

Doing the animation for this particular / very TV series is Quebico who according to animenewsnetwork have only worked on this particular / very TV series and literally nothing else ever made in the history of ever. Now then in terms of what I personally thought about the animation that's featured / presented to us in this very TV series in all honesty I personally thought that the animation that was featured in this particular / very TV series was really goof and i'm not just saying that either I honestly do believe that the animation that was featured / presented to us in this very TV series was feature film worthy because the animation really did look that good and what helped the animation in my opinion anyways / at least is the fact that they used motion capture for all of the characters (in some cases even using the same actor or actress to do the motion capture for their respective character) which in all honesty really did help get the character movements and as well being the character animation down freaking perfectly in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then I know what your all thinking and yes you are all right Netflix does indeed have a Resident Evil in development however the stark difference between the Resident Evil series that is currently in development at Netflix and this series is that the series that Netflix is currently working on is live action where as as you can see this series is fully 3D CGI animated. Honestly I have no idea why Netflix chose to have not one but Resident Evil TV series airing on their streaming service since it will only create some very mild marketplace confusion with mainstream audiences and while that confusion is soften up by the fact that this series has a subtle there will be some people who jus see the new Resident Evil and assume that this series is the live action series and honestly I think that it would have helped Netflix if they held of on greenlighting a live action Resident Evil TV series until they had fully released all of the episodes of this particular / very TV series.

This way mainstream audiences / none anime fans wouldn't get confused over which Resident Evil TV series that they were about to press play on. I will give Netflix this tho making Netflix the only place where you can watch a high profile anime series like this very / particular series is a good way to ensure that you get a few more subscribers then say Peacock , HBO Max or Disney+ all of whom have very high profile films and TV shows either currently out or being released very soon.

As to be expected for a show this short there really isn't much there in terms of character development at all in this series. Which while it is to be expected given the amount of episodes it's still a bad thing since it comes across as the writers for this very / particular series are being very lazy and not really helping things is the fact that none of the new characters are not only not really likable but none of the new cast of characters are given any kind of personality trait whatsoever and so all of the new characters that are appearing in this particular / very TV series come across as bland and wooden characters.

Now then this particular / very TV series is only four episodes long with each episode lasting no more then thirty minuets which means that the total running time for this particular / very TV series is that the very least one hour and thirty minuets and as such you could very easily watch all four episodes in one sitting if you really wanted to and I gave to say that the total running tome for this series was the perfect running time for this series. Since there really isn't enough there in terms of plot or in terms of story for that matter and so trying to make this series last say eight episodes for example would have been stretching an already fairly thin story even thinner in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then while the Resident Evil franchise is a horror franchise and indeed there are horror elements to be seen in this TV series in my opinion anyways / at least this TV show / TV series is more if an action drama then a horror show and as such that does infact mean that I have to talk about the actual action that is featured / presented to us in this film and well just like with the animation the action that's featured / presented to us in this TV series is really good. This however is not a surprise since the action in any of the animated Resident Evil products has always been really freaking good and so it's only fitting that the action is indeed actually good for the first ever animated Netflix Resident Evil TV series in my opinion anyways / at least.

Overall this is by far not the worst Resident Evil piece if media out there since that honor goes to Resident Evil: The Final Chapter but it's also not the best piece of Resident Evil media that's currently out there either. This series falls into a strange and weird middle ground since for everything that it gets right it does two things wrong and now then since i've talked about both of the good things and as well as both of the bad things that are in this TV series in this very review that means that this TV series gets a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

WWF Summerslam 2000 Review

 

WWF and wrestling fans it's been roughly two months since I last took a look at a classic WWF PPV and well the the PPV that i'm about to review for you all today is one that I have a bit of personal history with. This is also PPV that's been sitting on my laptop for at least a month and every single time that i've planned to review this very / particular show something else always came up which prevented me from reviewing this show and so here is my review of the PPV event that marked the official end of the original D-Generation X with the PPV event in question being called simply just "Summerslam" enjoy.

Of course the biggest storyline thats going into this PPV event is the Kurt Angle , Triple H and Stephanie McMahon and I have to admit that this PPV does a good job of portraying Kurt Angle as a bit of creep. I will admit that this show does also do a good job of telling you what the other storylines are that currently going on at this point through the use of video packages and so you don't really need to watch every single show up until this particular / very PPV event since it's very easy to work what the storylines that are currently being told are.

Now then just like with alot of sets / stages from the attitude era the set /stage for this show is very minimalistic with the set not really being impressive and there's nothing that reminds you of the summer season. Which for an event called Summerslam and for an event who's sets / stages are known for having the theme of summer presented in some way shape or form it's sad to see that the set / stage for this particular PPV / stage didn't really have anything that reminds you of the summer season or reminds you of anything that's do with summer at all.

As someone who grew up and thus watched the WWF around this time period I felt alot of nostalgia when watching this particular / very WWF PPV event. Since pretty much all of the wrestlers that are competing on this show are all wrestlers that I grew up watching and so for me at least watching this show particular / very WWF PPV event made me feel like I was a ten year old again and that for me any ways / at least was a very great feeling to have since we all nearly always get into wrestling when we are around ten years old.

There was no way that I could review this PPV event and not talk about the fall that Shane McMahon takes because my god is that a cool looking fall. Just everything little thing about that fall was just perfect with my only real gripe that they don't show the impact of the fall when it actually happens which I honestly do feel would have helped make what is an average match at best seem even better at in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then there are technically two women's matches with the better one of the two being the Eddie Guerrero and Chyna Vs Val Venis and Trish Stratus. This is simply because the other women's match that's on this show is The Kat Vs Terri Runnels in a stinkface match I get that the WWF didn't really think that highly of womens wrestling back in the early 2000's but anything would have been then The Kat Vs Terri Runnels.

Nothing is ever going to beat watching Chyna compete when she was in her prime simply because Chyna really could wrestle and it makes sense to have Trish Stratus fight her because at this point in her career Trish Stratus was just getting into wrestling more then what she did when she was paired with Test & Albert. Altho I do admit to laughing me a*s of during the Eddie Guerrero and Chyna Vs Val Venis and Trish Stratus match simply because you get to hear what sounds like Val Venis swear quite freaking loudly altho i will admit that the Eddie Guerrero and Chyna Vs Val Venis and Trish Stratus match ended rather quickly with very little to no actual build up to the actual finish of the actual match in question.

Now then I said at the start of the review that I had some personal history with this particular / very WWF PPV event and well i wasn't kidding at all. Since this was the first ever American WWF PPV that I actually watched live I had seen the UK exclusive PPV shows that were broadcast but just simply due to when the American PPVS would air over here in the UK I never got to watch one live since I was ten years old at the time that this PPV was broadcast but as fate would have it on the exact day that this PPV was being broadcast me and younger / little brother were going to have a sleep over at my cousins and my uncle let all three of us stay up until the very early morning to watch this entire PPV live which we did but we regretted it the next day tho.

Now then this particular WWF PPV event has a grand total running time of two hours and forty minuets and forty one seconds which I personally felt was the right amount of time for this particular / very WWF PPV event. Altho I do wish that most of the matches that are featured / presented to us on this particular / very WWF PPV could have been longer since the show had the running time and so they very easily could have made some matches alot longer if they really wanted to.

Now then since this is a wrestling show and there is wrestling matches on this actual show it only makes sense that I now talk about / cover the actual wrestling that's featured / presented to us on this actual classic WWF PPV and well apart from the The Kat Vs Terri Runnels. The matches that are on this show are pretty decent with pretty much all of the performers that are performing in the matches in question coming of looking really good with the one very bad wrestling match being the The Kat Vs Terri Runnels which is just there for reasons as far as I can tell and it's just a pain in a*s to sit through and if i'm being honest this match should have been cut and the time saved from cutting this match should have been allocated to over better matches that are on this classic WWF PPV card in my opinon anyways / at least.

Overall this was a really decent show and it's a show that i'm glad that I got to relive however this really isn't a perfect. Since as you can tell by my review there are are somethings that are in this show that just aren't needed and it's those exact same things that let this show down and that keep this show from being as good as it possibly can be. Now then since i've talked both of the good and as well as both of the bad things that are in this very show in this very review that means that this show gets a 5.5 out of 10 from me.

Teen Titans Go! See Space Jam! Film Review

 

Well then look animation fans it's another Teen Titans Go! "movie" and well this movie is the very definition of unneeded. Simply because every little thing about this film just screams cheaply made and given that this "movie" debuted on Cartoon Network instead of either being a direct / straight to DVD movie only just proves that the Teen Titans Go brand is just going to be used to push / promote other and hopefully better Warner Bros Pictures. movies and so join me as I review the film that is totally unneeded with the film in question being called simply just "Teen Titans Go! See Space Jam!" enjoy this review review everyone.

Now then for once I actually don't have to tell you what the plot of this film / movie even is since it's right there is the freaking title of this film / movie. Now then In terms of what I personally thought about the plot / set up of this film in all honesty the set up of the film wasn't that bad since the Teen Titans Go production team did find a rather organic way to have the The Nerdlucks appear in the Teen Titans Go universe / world but that's all this "movie" / "film" really did right plot wise because the set up of this film just feels like a cheap cash grab and nothing more / else then that.

Starring in this film is Scott Menville as Robin , Hynden Walch s Starfire , Greg Cipes as Beast Boy and Khary Payton as Cyborg. Also starring in this film is Tara Strong as Raven , John DiMaggio as Bupkus and Nawt and Fred Tatasciore as Pound , Blanko and Bang. For reasons that will become obvious later on in this review i'm not going to list the cast who starred in Space Jam simply because it would be rather pointless to do so.

Now then in terms of what I personally thought about the acting that's featured / presented to us in this film in all honesty I thought that the acting that's featured / presented to us in this film wasn't that bad. The issue is however that the acting isn't that good either since it just feels like that every single cast member who is starring in the this "movie" is just phoning in their performances which is a shame because every actor that's starring in this film "film" are really good actors and actresses and so it's sad to these actors and actresses phone in their performances.

Doing the animation for this "film" is Copernicus Studios Inc who have provided animation for episodes of The Loud House and Pickle & Peanut among many , many , many , many , many other things. As for what I personally thought about the animation that was / featured / presented to us in this "film" in all honesty that was provided for this film wasn't that bad but the issue is there's upgrade from the quality of animation that we see in the Teen Titans Go TV show and not something that you'd expect to see in a movie heck We Bare Bears: The Movie which just like this "film" We Bare Bears: The Movie was a TV movie and you could see that there was a visual upgrade in terms of both animation as well as the visual from the TV with We Bare Bears: The Movie looking alot better then the We Bare Bears TV show ever did and that's sadly not even close to being true for this "film" whatsoever in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then there is a reason as to why I didn't credit the original cast of Space jam when I was crediting the cast for this film and that's because this film takes the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 approach tho this little cross over / cash grab. In that they play the movie almost in it's entirety and they have the characters appearing in the Teen Titans Go segments commenting on the movie and making jokes about the movie.

This was honestly the approach that I didn't want them to take for his "film" since it would have been better if they had the Teen Titans Go characters find away to appear in the Space Jam film. This way you could have your cheap cash grab / promotion happen and you could tell an actually interesting story instead what we get is a bunch of characters making some semi unfunny jokes all to please kids who perhaps haven't seen Space Jam and those exact same kids who perhaps haven't seen Space Jam would be much better of actually watching Space Jam instead of this poor excuse for a film / cheaply made cash grab.

I think it's really freaking obvious as to why this movie was made since coming out in little over a month is Space Jam: A New Legacy and so Warner Bros Pictures. / Warner Bros Animation. very quickly put / cobbled this film together for no reason whatsoever. Since / because this film has no other reason to exist other then to try and get you to watch Space Jam: A New Legacy and to possibly get kids to watch the first Space Jam but that's really about it and guess what neither reason is a good enough excuse at all to make this movie at all in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then this film does have a mercifully short running time of only one hour and fifteen minuets and fifty eight seconds so lets just round that up to one hour and sixteen minuets shall we. This film really did not need to be that long at all since you very easily could have done the entire story for this "film" in an average episode or an average special of the Teen Titans Go animated series and while this film is mercifully short it also oddly drag on and it also oddly feels alot longer then it actually is and I honestly have no idea why this is the case whatsoever.

Now then boys and girls since this "film" is meant to be a comedy film that means that I have to actually talk about the jokes that are featured / presented to us in the actual film itself and well to be freaking blunt / honest the jokes that are featured / resented to us in this "film" are a pretty mixed. Since there are some jokes that did get a little chuckle out of me but then there are a alot more jokes that are featured / presented to us in this film that are just flat out bad and I cannot see a kid laughing at the overall majority of the bad jokes because that's how bad the bad jokes in this film well and freaking truly are.

Overall this "film" is just plain bad and the reason why i'm putting the film in quotation marks is because this is a barely a film to begin with despite the fact that it's being promoted as the third Teen Titans Go film. Now then since i've talked about both of the good things that are in this film and as well as well as the bad things that are in this very film in this very review that means that this film gets a 3 out of 10 from me.

The Mandalorian "Chapter 16: The Rescue" Review

 

Star Wars fans it's been a very long time since i've spoken about The Mandalorian and well I wanted to put that to an end since for the past few days now i've been thinking about reviewing an episode of The Mandalorian. However with so many good episodes to choose from it was honestly really freaking hard for me to pick just one episode for me to review and well i've finally made up my mind on what episode i'm going to be reviewing and so join me as I review that caused Star Wars fans to cry with joy ad that caused Pablo Hidalgo to cry in anger and pain with that / the episode in question being called simply just "Chapter 16: The Rescue" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is after Baby Yoda (yes I know that he has a name but he'll always be called Baby Yoda to me so deal with it) is kidnapped it's up to The Mandalorian and his various alleys to save him before something dreadful possibly happens to him. Now then in terms of what I personally thought about the plot of this particular episode in all honesty I thought that the plot of this particular episode was really good it was a nice simple plot that was honestly perfect for this show and was the perfect story to end this season on.  

Starring in this episode is Pedro Pascal as The Mandalorian , Omid Abtahi as Dr. Pershing and Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett. Also starring in this episode is Gina Carano as Cara Dune , WWE Superstar Mercedes Varnado AKA Sasha Banks as Koska Reeves , Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan , Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand , Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon and the absolute legend and the Star Wars legend that is Mark Hamill as The Voice Of Young Luke Skywalker / Luke Skywalker.

Now then as for what I thought about the acting that's featured / presented to us in the actual episode itself in all honesty I really did like the acting that was featured / presented to us in the actual episode itself. Which shouldn't come as a surprise to absolutely anybody since pretty much all of these actors are really good actors and so it only makes sense that all of these actors would turn in some really good performances in this episode but what does let the overall quality of the acting down is the fact that the extra's in this episode or either over acting or under acting. 

Doing the CGI effects for this episode are Important Looking Pirates , Legacy Effects and Lola Visual Effects. In terms of what I personally thought about the CGI effects that are featured / presented to us in this episode in all honesty I thought that the CGI effects that are featured / presented to us in this episode were really good and since this show makes great use of practical effects as well it was honestly really hard for me to tell what effects were done practically what effects were done inside of a computer because / since all of the effects looked that good in my opinion anyways / at least.

I'll very fully admit right now that the only reason that I decided to review this episode was because of the fact that Luke freaking Skywalker is in this episode and honestly the CGI / technology that used to make him look like how did in Return Of Jedi is so much more better then how they did a young Princess Leia in Rogue One A Star Wars Story. This is because in my opinion there's not much lighting Luke's face and so the team could get away with making the face not look quite right which simply isn't the case with the scene in Rogue One where a young Princess Leia appears however it's also because the technology needed to replace a human face with a CGI face has advanced so much in the years inbetween making The Mandalorian and Rogue One A Star Wars Story and so of course young Luke Skywalker is always going to look better then young Princess Leia does.

Honestly if I have any criticisms about this episode it's the fact that Luke's face look a little bit to plastic looking and Luke's face a little bit to smooth. If you run your hand over your face you'll notice that your face is a little bit bumpy and none of that comes across in this episode but alot of that comes down to the fact that the technology to create an accurate looking human CGI face just isn't there and it's also because / down to the fact that creating an accurate looking CGI human face is incredibly hard work just due to how complex the human actually is and so I give them credit for at least trying to create an accurate looking human face. 

The other thing that I really didn't like about this episode is that when both The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda made it to the the bridge of the ship neither of them had anything to do other then just stand there and wait for Luke Skywalker to come and rescue them. Which for your two leading characters isn't really a good thing since it makes both characters look dumb since from what I can remember both characters have gotten out of worse situations then they were in in this episode and so there was no reason as to why they couldn't do more when they reached the bridge.

This episode has a total running time of forty four minutes and one second and I have to be honest here that running time suited this episode perfectly. Simply because there's not much story there to cover anything that's even close to one hour and so to try and get this episode up to one hour without opening or closing credits would be stretch and heck without the opening or closing credits this episode comes at thirty eight minuets so even then that running time still works because it allows every single scene to be about advancing the plot of the episode which means there's no filler scenes at all which is always a very good thing in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then boys and girls this show is an action show after all and so that means that there's action to be found in this very episode and that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's featured / presented to us in this actual episode and if im being really freaking honest here I loved the action in this episode. Simply because the action that's featured / presented to us in this episode was so fun to watch with all of the characters both good guys and girls and bad guys getting a chance to shine and to some really cool moves and those those cool moves that make the action in this episode really freaking fun to watch for me personally.

Overall this was a really good episode and it was a good episode to end the second season of this fantastic show. Now then since i've talked about all of the good things that are in this very episode in this very review and as well as all of the bad things that are in this episode in this very review that means that this particular episode of The Mandalorian get a 9.5 out of 10 from this particular Star Wars fan.
