Young Jedi Adventures "The Young Jedi" And "Yoda's Mission" Review

With this review currently being written on May the fourth it means that it would only be right that something to do with Star Wars would be reviewed. While it would have been super easy to go with quite literally any of the movies or even with some of the more lesser known animation shows I thought that i'd mix it up a bit by reviewing a show that is not only still airing new episodes but who's target audience is little kids as afterall Star Wars is for them as well and so then join me as I review the episodes that sees some younglings go on a secret mission for Yoda with the episodes in question being called simply just "The Young Jedi" and "Yoda's Mission" enjoy.

The plot of "The Young Jedi" is when three younglings head to a new planet where they are to be trained they discover that one of the planets inhabitants is a pirate and has to convince to return all of the things that he's been stealing from around the town while in "Yoda's Mission" Yoda sends the three younglings on a special mission to retrieve something for a celebration that the people of the planet Tenoo or having and that the jedi are due to take part in. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plots that are actually featured / presented to us in these very segments well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plots that are actually featured / presented to us in these segments was in all honesty not that bad as they are both plots that will please the shows target little kid audience with the better plot going to "Yoda's Mission" as the plot of "The Young Jedi" just felt like the stereotypical pilot plot where as with the second plot it was not only a much more stronger plot but it was also alot more focused of a plot where as the first segments plot was a bit on the weak side of things with the plot not really kicking in until the segment was almost over and wasn't really all that focused on which does make sense given just how much that first segment had to set up where as with the second segment they could just get right into the plot with both plots also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in these episodes is Eric Bauza as EB-3 , Taran Killam as Hap and Jamaal Avery Jr. as Kai Brightstar. Also starring in these episodes is Juliet Donenfeld as Lys Solay , Nasim Pedrad as Master Zia Zanna , Emma Berman as Nash Durango , Dee Bradley Baker as Nubs , An Adult Pirate and An Alien Patron , Sarah Kramer as Pord and A Patron , Jonathan Lipow as RJ-83 , Dee and Kumpa , Trey Murphy as Taborr and Piotr Michael as Master Yoda.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episodes was in all honesty not that bad. As alot of this shows main actors are kids and so it is hard to judge there acting ability with all of the episodes kid actors doing a fine job with there respective characters but at the same time tho it would have been better if they cast kids had chemistry with each other as the kid actors in these episodes don't come across as having chemistry with each other with it feeling like that they were all recorded separately which is the norm for animated shows and movies but this is the case it would have been more beneficial to the show if the kid actors were all recorded together with it being obvious that the better actors in these episodes are the adult actors just because of the fact that they've had more time voice acting with Piotr Michael making for a really solid Yoda with the best actor from the adult actors being Dee Bradley Baker just because of the fact that he gets to play more characters and he makes them all sound very distinct from one another with the kid actor being Emma Berman just because of the fact that she actually sounds like that she's having the most fun out of all of the kid actors and that is something that does shine through in the final cut of these two episodes with the acting that's in these very episodes also being helped by the fact that the scripts for these episodes was so good that all these episodes actors have to do is just the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out pf them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in these first two episodes.

Doing the animation for these episodes is the legends and the greats that are currently over at ICON Creative Studio. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in thee very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad as by all rights the animation in these episodes should have been pretty bad given it's target auidence but the shows animation was alot better then what it really had any right to be with really the only issue in regards to the animation being the fact that the animators seem to think that Lightsabers are bendy which got super annoying as that's not how they work and yet for some strange every single time a character does a move and they have there lightsaber out you can see the blade bending as they move and while the animation quality from these two episodes indeed of a really high quality there are little things like that that do take you out of the episode and remind you that your just watching a TV show and while "Yoda's Mission" does have the more stunning animation to look the animation in the first segment isn't that bad either as all of the locations be it the original Jedi temple to even the planet of Tenoo itself do look really good with it being clear that alot more thought and effort went into this shows animation then what was really necessary as no one would have blamed the animators that worked on these two episodes if they chose not to give it there best work and they still turned in some really good animation that could even be considered feature film worthy as it's just that good.

Sadly tho these episodes characters are the kind of characters that you see in alot of shows that are made for little kids. With all of them being just as bland and boring to watch which is fine for a show that's made for little kids but at the same time tho you still do want your characters to be memorable and good and that's something that's just isn't the case for these characters as none of them apart from Yoda isn't that memorable and do nothing memorable and even then Yoda himself is only memorable because of the fact that he's a legacy character ad that's really it with it not really being helped by the fact that all of the episodes main characters have the exact same personality in that there hot headed at times but they also have a heart of gold and will do anything for their friends which is fine for one character but when that's all of your main characters then there's clearly an issue that needs to be fixed as that character type only works because it's the one character and while the episode does try to add in little things like Nubs being the more comedic of the group and Lys being the animal lover of the group the first segment in particualr which is meant to showoff these characters does nothing with these traits and instead just has them all being distilled to the hot headed one with a heart of gold and that's really it and as for Nash there new pilot friend it's hard to even pinpoint just what her characters personality is even meant to be as the whole episode doesn't give her own which is kind of understandable as when your introducing this many characters at once one of them is going to fall through the cracks but at the same time it also means that she's just not that memorable of a character despite the fact that the idea of having a kid pilot is a solid idea for a character.

For those of you that don't know this show is the first and to date only Star Wars animated show to be set during The High Republic era. Thus meaning that while there are plenty of jedi to go around there are no sith characters with the very idea of doing a show that's made for little kids be set during this newly introduced era is a good idea as it's an era that really hasn't been explored all that much and given that there not producing anything for this era anymore that can be seen as being a shame as seeing just what the jedi were like prior to The Phantom Menace and how they got into the shape that they were in at the start of that film is more then a strong enough idea as all it would need is a bunch of really good writers to make it good and with the show being set during that era as well it's also a great way to get little kids into Star Wars without them having to wonder why seeing Ahsoka show up at the end of Rebels season 1 is a big deal for example as there pretty much is no lore for them to question as this is the start of that lore and for a kids show the simpler you can make the show the better and what better way to make a simple show then to go right back to the beginning of the timeline and explore an era that hasn't been explored and then maybe if those kids like this show then maybe then there parents can introduce them to The Phantom Menace and then start of there Star Wars journey from there as not is that film the more kid friendly out of the films but it's also got Yoda who they'll know for this show and is kind of similar in tone to this show as a whole as well.

These episodes do of course try to have lessons for little kids to learn like the fact that if you work together you can always get things done and real friendships will always mean more then material goods. Both of which are not only handled very well in both of these segments but there also lessons that we as adults could still stand to learn as well as we still do try and do everything on our own when if we stop for a second and ask for a help from people that we know and trust then we can get those things done and we do put more material goods over friendships with some of us even getting new things just to show up are friends when it would be more better if we didn't do that and instead supported and cheered on our friends and while these are lessons that are seen in every single kids show out there they are still good lessons to learn as well as they do help kids to become better people with the lessons even being woven into the episodes very well as neither segment does a three strikes thing where the character does the same mistake three times to the point where they have to learn the lesson as here the lesson is learned pretty quickly which could also be seen as being a bad thing as it means that the story as a whole is just rushing threw plot points but that's more due to the two segment per-episode formular that all kids shows these days seem to have and isn't an issue with this one episode and while the fact that it's the same character in both of of these segments learning these lessons when giving screen time to the other main characters would have made sense the audience that this show is made isn't going to about that as they just want to see the characters that are like them learning these lessons and that's really it.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty four minuets and three seconds. Which is pretty much the perfect running time for a show like this one as even tho the first segment has more then enough plot there to be it's own twenty two minuet special the episodes second segment "Yoda's Mission" doesn't have alot of plot there even with both of the segments being cut up into two eleven or twelve minuet segments with neither segment really using it's running time all that wisely as "The Young Jedi" doesn't take the time that it really needed in order to fully establish all of it's characters and takes far to long to get to the actual plot of the segment where as with "Yoda's Mission" despite it having the better plot of the two segments isn't as fully developed as it really could have been with it not really being explained why Yoda needed it to be Kai and his friends that need to get these seeds for him as really any one of the younglings or even Master Zia for that matter could have filled in that role perfectly and nothing about about the plot of the episode would need to be changed all that much with the first segment also having the issue of trying to introduce two many characters and not devoting enough time to fully develop them as characters as this is something that yes is a result of this segment being part of a two segment episode when it really did need to be it's own twenty two minuet special as then all of the characters that we are going to meet in this show can then be fully set up as characters and the plot of the segment could then be allowed to develop at a more natural pace and not just happen within the last few minuets of the segment but I really will admit that these episodes really do have some really good pacing to them tho.

So now then as this is an action show that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured /, presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad. As the episodes action is cartoonish enough for it pass as being action in a show that's meant for little kids whilst still hitting alot the notes that you expect to see in an action scene from something that's from Star Wars like outside of the fact that all of the Jedi use there lightsabers you do see them using the force to either move something or to force jump during an action scene all of which are things that we see alot of the time in action scenes from the Star Wars movies with the best action scene by kids shows standard being the one in "Yoda's Mission" just because of the fact that we do get to see all of the main characters really working together as a team which while we did get to see Kai , Lys and Nubs working together in "The Young Jedi" we really didn't see Nash helping them out until the very end where as here we get to see all of them working together as a team and that was something that did make that ending action scene against Taborr and his crew all the more fun to watch as then we get to see what all of the characters bring to the team like Lys is the agile one , Nubs is the heavy hitter , Kai is the thinker and Nash is the groups technician with all of them using those skills in their fight against Taborr and his crew which does make for a really fun filled action scene in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while these episodes are a pair of really good episodes in their own right it's the second segment that is quite easily the better of the two because of the fact that it just gets right into the plot of the episode and with Star Wars quite literally releasing a new show un this case Star Wars: Tales Of The Underworld on Star Wars Day it's really safe to say that Star Wars from an animation point of view really will always be for anyone in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in thee very episodes in this very review and as such that really does mean that this "The Young Jedi" earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me whilst " Yoda's Mission earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me with both of the episodes as a whole earning themselves a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Star Wars The Clones Wars fandom wiki page , the official Disney fandom wiki page and the official Star Wars fandom wiki page. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from this very episodes that I used in this very review being the really great the official Star Wars fandom wiki page really simply just due to the fact that really alot of if not really all of the images that are all really from this very episodes with alot of them being better quality then what you'd really think of and all of the images are really of course up and really on the official Star Wars fandom wiki page are also really all fairly high in quality and as well as them all being really fairly freaking high in definition and May the fourth be with you all.

The Simpsons "The Principal And The Pauper" Review

It's been a good few years since I last covered anything from The Simpsons TV show and will with the show now back to getting rave reviews from both fans and critics alike. I thought that that now was the right time to take a look at another episode from the show with the episode being one that actually got some hate from the fans back when it first aired and so then join me as I review the episode that gives a side character some much needed back story with the episode in question being called simply just "The Principal And The Pauper" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is when a secret about his past is reveled Principal Skinner has to make a life changing decision. Now then then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad as it was a really good plot that does give the Principal Skinner character some much needed backstory as nothing all that much about the character had been revealed up until this episode and to the episodes credit it does so in a way that is genuinely quite shocking and yet also in keeping with the style of the show as the show up until this point in time was all about doing new and creative things with it's characters and that's something that the plot of this episode does wonderfully with the episode even giving some of the spotlight to Agnes which makes sense and seeing her have this heart to heart with her son was something that worked well and wasn't just thrown in because the plot needed it to happen as it felt like something that the character would do with it being something that does add to the plot of the episode rather take away from it with the only real issue regarding the episodes plot is the fact that it doesn't give us the chance to really get to the real Seymour Skinner as the plot just has him appear in a few scenes and that's really it where as a character that's this important to the plot of the episode really should have played a more active role in the plot of the episode itself with the plot of this episode also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Dan Castellaneta Homer Simpson , Groundskeeper Willie , Mayor Quimby and Abe Simpson. Also starring in this episode is Julie Kavner as Marge Simpson , Nancy Cartwright as Bart Simpson , Nelson Muntz and Ralph Wiggum , Yeardley Smith as Lisa Simpson , Hank Azaria as Superintendant Chalmers , Harry Shearer as Principal Skinner / Armin Tamzarian , Kent Brockman and Judge Snyder , Marcia Wallace as Edna Krabappel , Tress MacNeille as Agnes Skinner , Maggie Roswell as Miss Hoover and Martin Sheen as Sgt. Seymour Skinner.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. Which is something that really does make a whole lot of sense as the overall majority of this episodes actors have been with the show playing there respective characters since the very episode of the show and are STILL playing them all of these later and as such it really would make sense that they would know how best to perform there respective characters as they've had several years to perfect playing them at this point in time with it really being hard to say just who exactly was the best actor in this episode and really anyone of this episodes actors could make a very viable claim that they are best actor in this episode and it would totally be justified as all of this episodes actors are just that good with a slight edge going to both Tress MacNeille as Agnes Skinner and Harry Shearer as they both really do get a chance to shine in this episode and really get the chance to show us just what it is that they can both do as actors with the acting that's in this film episode really being helped by the fact that this episodes script is just so good that all this episodes actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very episode.

Doing the animation for this episode is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Akom Production Company and Film Roman Productions. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good as while there was nothing that really stood out in this episode from an episode from an animation point of view all of the characters do have some really nice fluid movements to them with there even being a lot of known characters in group shots or in the background something that the show wouldn't typically do and yet here they are in this episode with this episodes animation even having some small details like the fact that when we see the helicopter flying in the flashback scene we see the wind coming from it's blades pushing down the grass below it which was a nice little touch and it's something that the makers of this episode really didn't have to include at all with the episode having lots of little touches like that that do help to make this episodes animation so much more better then what it really had any right to be as by all rights the animators that worked on this episode really didn't have to put in alot of effort into giving this episode some good quality animation and while yes granted this episodes animation isn't as good as other episodes it still doesn't change that the animation in this episode is still not only good but also of a really high quality as well.

As was stated at the very start of this review this episode does delve into the backstory of Principal Skinner by not only revealing that he was in the army but also the fact that he's not really Seymour Skinner. With him only taking up that name due to the fact that he believed that his commander in chief and his mentor was killed in combat and so he took up that name not only to spare his mother the news that her son might be dead but also to honor his memory with this aspect of the episode being one of a few reasons as to why the fans of this show are very mixed about it with some calling it the best episode ever due to the fact that it does show us a human side of Principal Skinner with others hating as it's taking a character that we've known since the shows first proper episode and not telling us that he's not who we all thought that he was with even show creator Matt Groening and Skinner's voice actor Harry Shearer not even being that big of a fan of the episode with Shearer even being quoted in a 2001 interview as saying "That's so wrong. You're taking something that an audience has built eight years or nine years of investment in and just tossed it in the trash can for no good reason, for a story we've done before with other characters. It's so arbitrary and gratuitous, and it's disrespectful to the audience." with him being quoted at a later date as saying "Now, the writers refuse to talk about it. They realize it was a horrible mistake. They never mention it. It's like they're punishing the audience for paying attention." with Groening simply stating that he thought that the episode was a mistake which does track as then showrunners Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein do state on the DVD commentary for the episode that it did take a while for them to get Matt to agree to the episode.

On paper this episode really could have worked and really could have been a fan favorite episode as it does have all of the right ingredients. All it really needed was to focus alot more on Sgt. Skinner as that would then give us the audience a reason to care about his character and not do anything that goes against what we know about the character of Seymour Skinner in the first place which this episode could very easily do as his backstory was delved into in other episodes of the show but weather or not it does is something that I can't say as i've not seen those episodes but they do retcon the fact that Seymour knows Ned as according tot this episode he's never met him before this is despite the fact that in an earlier episode of the show he teamed up with Bart to get Ned ousted as school principal so he would there for know who Ned Flanders is and given that both Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein wrote that episode you'd think that they would remember that but it seems not as they don't even mention it in the DVD commentary for the episode as they spend quite literally the entire commentary just defending the episode and not really giving us any interesting piece of information about the episode outside of the fact that it's an episode that was due to air as the last episode of season eight and that's really it with this episode being one that does work if you haven't watched that many episodes of The Simpsons but at the same time tho this is an episode that despite having a really good premise to it just doesn't work all that well.

What is really shocking is the very idea that Agnes might have secretly known all along that Armin Tamzarian wasn't her real son. As when he comes to tell her that her son has died before reversing course and then claiming to be her son she then has to direct him to where her sons bedroom is something that she wouldn't have had to have done if that really was her son as he'd already know where his bedroom is so maybe she saw something in Armin Tamzarian like the fact that he is also dealing with the grief of loosing someone close to him just like she's dealing with the grief of potentially loosing someone close to her and in that way they both did kind of need each other not to reveal that they know the truth as a way for them both to move on with this even leading to sweet moment between the two near the end of the episode where she states that not only has she known him far more longer then her real son but that she was actually more of a mother to him because of it with that statement being what convinces Tamzarian to return to Springfield and that was a nice little thing to have as it should have been Agnes that convinces him to return as she would know him the best and given that we spend the vast majority of this show with her bossing him around it was nice to see a more caring side to her character as well as we get to see that she really does care for Armin Tamzarian like an actual son something that we really hadn't seen before now with it being something that does work in the context of this episode as at that moment he didn't need to be yelled at by her he just needed to be mothered by her and that's exactly what we got in this episode.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty two minuets and forty four seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstandard running time for this show to have and to this episodes credit it really does have more the  enough there interms of plot to really cover that amount of running time however tho this episode really doesn't use it's running time all that wisely as the Sgt. Skinner character who is also meant to be a leading character in this episode plot isn't given that much screen time to actually show us why we should care him and to get across just what exactly he's like as a character as we don't even get to find out all that much about him outside of the fact that he's just several years working in a sweat shop in China and that's really it and this is something that does harm the episode as it means that us the audience aren't given a reason to care about his character and therefor when the characters quite literally wheel him out of Springfield in the back of train we feel nothing and while seeing some of Tamzarian's backstory was nice it would have worked just as well if we got to see things from the point of view Agnes as we don't know what she was thinking or feeling the moment that she saw Tamzarian answer her door and start to tell her that her real son might have been killed as that is something that could have added something to her character as well and while her role in the episode is fine without knowing what she thinking or feeling at that moment it is something that could have added some extra emotional weight to when she talks Tamzarian back into coming back to Springfield but I really will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is comedy that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us un this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. However tho at the exact same time this episodes comedy wasn't as good nor as clever as it was in earlier episodes of the show as there aren't that many actually laugh out loud moments in this episode which is something that might make sense as this episode was more drama focused then comedy focused but at the same time tho this show was always a comedy and therefor the focus should always be on giving us good jokes and this was something that the makers of this show did understand even during this ninth season of the show and yet for some strange reason this episode just doesn't have that many actually funny moments in it with the best joke in the episode being when Kent Brockman does a segment on the real Seymour Skinner only for those that he works with to put a picture of Armin Tamzarian and when he corrects them on this they put up a picture of the real Skinner only now it's upside to which he just calls them all stupid and that's really it and even that joke isn't that good as even the episodes ending joke with the characters vowing to never mention Sgt. Skinner ever again and pretend that Armin is the real Seymour Skinner isn't as funny as it really could have been as while it's in there characters for them all to say something like that it's just not as good of a joke as it really could have been in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this might not the best episode of this show it's certainly not the worse one either and it's not that truly deserves all of the hate that it got as the premise is solid enough it just needed to be executed a bit better is all but because it wasn't it does mean that the episode wasn't as good as it really could have been tho and that is something that really does let this episode down by quite a bit in my freaking opinions anyways / at least Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used n this very review from the official The Simpsons fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from this very episode that I used in this very review being the really great the official The Simpsons fandom wiki page really simply just due to the fact that really alot of if not really all of the images that are all really from this very episode with alot of them being better quality then what you'd really think of and all of the images are really of course up and really on the official The Simpsons fandom wiki page are also really all fairly high in quality and as well as them all being really fairly freaking high in definition.

Goosebumps 1995 TV Series "The Haunted Mask" Review

Horror anthology shows and books are not really all that new but alot of them have the exact same thing in common and that's the fact that alot of them are made exclusively for adults. Well there is one horror anthology show out there that was made with kids in mind and is even based of a series of books that was meant to scare kids and so then join me as I review the episode that tried to make masks scary with the episode in question being called simply just "The Haunted Mask" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is when she's sick and tired of being scared by two local bullies Carly Beth decides to get her own back by buying a creepy looking mask without realizing that the mask is more then meets the eye. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad as it was a decent plot but at the same time given that this was a two part episode it kind of felt like it wasn't big enough to warrant being a two part episode as you very easily could have told the plot of this episode in just the one singular episode with it coming across as the makers of this show wanted to see if these stories could support a forty five minuet run time with there current plots and the fact is with this episode it just can't as the plot isn't one that demands that long of a running time and while granted if they just straight up adapted the book line for line then maybe they could have gotten away with it but given that they do make changes to the plot of the book then it makes you wonder why they made this a double length episode when the plot for this episode isn't strong enough or even scary enough to warrant more running time with the episodes plot being at best thinly drawn as it does come across as the characters just doing things for rhyme or reason and when the episode does put alot of focus on the plot that's when the episode gets good and you start to see alot of the good ideas that got lost in translation from the book to the show with the plot of this episode being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Goosebumps creator R.L. Stine as Himself / Host and Kathryn Long as Carly Beth Caldwell. Also starring in this episode is Colin Fox as The Shopkeeper , Kathryn Short as Sabrina Mason , Brenda Bazinet as Mrs. Caldwell , Cody Jones as Noah Caldwell , George Kinamis as Steve Boswell , Amos Crawley as Chuck Greene , Fielding Horan as Trick-or-Treater 1 , Rider Johnson as Trick-or-Treater 2 , Anne Marie Loder as Mother , Jesse Cairns as Little Boy , Jennifer Pisana as Little Girl , Quyen Hua as Oldest Girl , Alexander Broughton as 1st Costumed Boy and Ryder Britton as 2nd Costumed Boy.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. As while yes this episodes acting isn't all that good either given that alot of this actors are either kids or very unknown actors your not going to get great acting out of them and therefor the best that you could hope for is passable acting and that's exactly what we got in this episode as all of the kid actors are indeed trying their best and really giving it there all so much so that there's not one single bad performer inbetween them but at the same thing cannot said for the adults in the episode as alot of them are just either bad at best or look bored or disinterested at worst with Brenda Bazinet being one of the few adult actors in this show who is just bad with the other one being Colin Fox as both actors do try to make the most of what little screen time that they have but it's clear as day that this episodes director Timothy Bond really does have no idea how to direct his actors in a way that gets a good performance out of them and because of that this episodes actors do come across as feeling a bit lost and unsure of what to do with themselves performances wise with the acting that's in this very episode not really being helped by the fact that this script is just so bad as it gives none of tis episodes actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does harm the overall quality of the acting that's un this very episode.

To give this episode some credit the masks in the episode do look genuinely quite creepy and not just for a low budget kids TV show either. With these being masks that you could genuinely see scaring adults on Halloween night itself but what makes the masks in this episode standout oddly enough isn't there designs but rather it's the fact that the makers of this episode do make some great use of early CGI which granted does look pretty bad by today's standerd but using it to make the masks either smile for a split second or to show some kind of human emotion does oddly enough not only make them more off putting but it also makes them more creepy as well with really the only thing that lets the masks down in this episode is the fact that we don't get to find out all that much about them outside of the fact that The Shopkeeper made them for literally no reason whatsoever and while that does explain why the masks in his pop up shop can move and talk it doesn't explain how the bust of Carly's head that her mother can do the exact same thing as all that does is bring up more questions and it's questions that this episode doesn't bother to answer and it's something that actually could have added to the episode as The Shopkeeper character is already creepy enough as it is and finding out not only how he made the masks but if others can also make masks like his could have added to the overall creepiness factor of the episode it self but it could also be argued that not finding out all of that does also make the creepy masks seem all the more creepy as well as sometime not knowing how things are made is more creepier and scarier then finding those things out.

This episode is of course adapted from the book of the exact same name by Goosebumps author R.L. Stine. With the episode changing around a few things with some scenes now happening at different locations and the school science fair scene being cut all together while none of these changes do affect the overall plot of the episode as the plot of the episode is true to the plot of the book it would have helped with the episode more longer running time if the episode did adapt more scenes from the book even if there just filler scenes as this episode could justify putting those scenes in as it has more time to fill and while i've never red any of the Goosebumps books I was a huge fan of this particular TV show growing up but even so this episode doesn't make me want to read the book as the story just doesn't seem to be that interesting to me personally but at the same time tho it would be hard to argue the fact that the story does make for a decent plot for a TV show as the bones for a good show are there in the story and if you prolong certain things to build up the tension a bit more you could very easily get a five episode miniseries out of this book alone and with those extra episodes you can then delve deep into the characters and find out what it is that makes them tick and best of all is the fact that this story in any form is timeless as it's core it's about a girl learning to be happy with who she is on the inside and that's really it and as long as you stay true to that message then you can't really go wrong and best of all is since this book did also get sequel books as well then you can adapt those as well should this one prove to be a good potential show.

There are many gateways into the world of horror and getting kids into horror with something that's both good and yet not going to give them nightmares is a good idea. With being something that does work well enough for this episode as this is a good episode that could get kids into horror should they like this episode or even the book that it's based off of course as the episode isn't to scary and the performances in it are fine heck even lead actor Kathryn Long got a Gemini Award nomination for "Best Performance in a Children's or Youth Program or Series" which was basically the Canadian version of the Emmy Awards and while there more better episodes of this show out there and heck there's better kids horror media out there this is one that will stick them due to the fact that the characters use Halloween masks something that they see alot of the time and while yes this episode could have been done alot more better then what it was done for a nineties kids live action TV show this was as good as it was always going to get as it doesn't dumb down the overall message of the story with even the books central message of it's OK to be happy with who you are on the inside being something that is not only still relevant today but also something that thanks to the advent of the internet and social media kids today could still stand to learn that lesson and what better way to teach it to them then in something that will not only entertain them but also scare them at the exact same time as that will be something that will make them remember the central message of the story and hopefully it'll also turn them into future fans of the horror genre as well.

While the mask does change Carly Beth her action in this episode are completely justified as the two bullies Steve and Chuck scare her at every single chance that they get something which her brother Noah does as well and even her own friend Sabrina laughs at her once in the episode. So seeing her not only take the mask but also use it scare to people is justified as that's what others had been doing to her all day long and yet she's treated as the villain during those scenes and yet the kids that did scare her they treated like the heroes when they do so and while yes her brother has the excuse of he's just young so he doesn't know any better both Steve and Chuck look to be around the same age as Carly Beth and yet they only apologize to her when she scares them and confronts them about there actions and while it was cool to see how the mask does change Carly Beth with her going from this sweet and innocent kid who is afraid of her own shadow to someone who does pretty much steal the mask something that she does admit was not like her to even scaring innocent kids all under the pretense of her staying in character it would have made the change all the more scary if we got a better idea of what she was like without the mask on first as that would then make the sudden personality shift all the more shocking and disturbing and while she is yes justified in her actions against those that did scare her and that did wrong her earlier on in the episode seeing just how far the mask makes her go does also make her seem like the villain of the story as well when if anything she's like a tragic hero in that she's only doing these things because of the fact that she has no control over her own body.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty three minuets and nine seconds. With this episode being double the length of an average episode of the show but that there is a huge issue as this episode really doesn't have alot of plot there to really cover that amount of running time as this episode really does have the right amount of running time to only cover around twenty two minuets at best and while this wouldn't be that huge of an issue if the episode used it's running time all that wisely to flesh out it's plot and characters as then that extra running time would be more justified it sadly doesn't as the plot of the episode isn't as fleshed out as it really could have been as at times it was hard to tell what the actual plot of the episode was even meant to be from time to time and the episodes characters aren't that well developed either with alot of them just coming across as being the stereotypical kids TV show characters with nothing new added to them with this being something that really could have been fixed if the makers of this episode did use there longer running time more wisely as then they could have developed the plot of the episode and have things make more sense whilst still keeping the creepy tone of both the book and the episode and they could have developed the characters alot more to the point where we want to see them make it out of the episode OK which is something that doesn't happen with the episode in it's current form but I really will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a horror show that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual scares that are actually featured / presented to us u this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual scares that are actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. As while yes granted all of the scares that are in this very episode are only meant to be scary for little kids what makes them work for us adults is the ideas behind them with the best example of this being the fact that the longer Carly Beth keeps her mask on the more harder it is for her to take it off even getting to the point where there's no seams under the mask for anyone to get there hand under and pull it off which is just such a creepy idea that it could also work in a more adult horror film or Tv show as well with that also being the best scare in this episode as all of the episodes other scares are either all jump scares or involve some very poorly aged CGI effects which make those moments more laughable then they do scary with the fact that Carly Beth struggles to take her mask when it has to seams underneath it to help her out also being the best scare in the whole entire episode as the idea of being forced to wear a mask twenty four seven is a pretty creepy idea in it's own right and it's one that not only works for this episode  so much so that it wouldn't feel out of place in a more adult horror film as it's just something that's well done and will always be creepy and scary no matter where it shows up in but it is something that's also pulled off really well in this episode as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a decent start tot his truly iconic series and while Disney has started airing there own version of Goosebumps nothing will ever be able to top this show because of the fact that this show and this episode adapted the books with this episode being a really decent adaptation of the book as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Goosebumps fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from this very episode that I used in this very review being the really great the official Goosebumps fandom wiki page really simply just due to the fact that really alot of if not really all of the images that are all really from this very episode with alot of them being better quality then what you'd really think of and all of the images are really of course up and really on the official Goosebumps fandom wiki page are also really all fairly high in quality and as well as them all being really fairly freaking high in definition.

Popeye "I Eats My Spinach" Review

Popeye is a character that thanks to now officially entering the public domain has seen a surge in popularity not due to him being in anything good but due to the fact that now horror film producers can now make horror film with him as the main character. With three of them being released just a few months ago and such it was only right that I take a look one of the original cartoons that made the character so popular to being with and so then join me as I review the cartoon that sees Popeye fight a bull with the cartoon in question being called simply just "I Eats My Spinach" enjoy.

The plot of this cartoon is when Popeye takes Olive Oyl on a date to the rodeo they get more then they bargained for when the rodeo's lead star The Great Bluto kidnaps her and so it's up to Popeye to get Olive back before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very cartoon well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very cartoon was in all honesty not that bad as even tho this cartoon was rather thin on plot that's something that's to be expected from alot of cartoons from this same time period as alot of them where only around seven minuets in length and because of that there plots weren't as fully developed as they could have bee with the same thing also being true for this cartoon as well as things just seem to happen for no reason or are only happening because pf the fact that the plot needs to happen like for example there's no need for Popeye to get jealous of Bluto early on in the cartoon but it only happens so that Popeye can start showing off thus making Bluto mad enough to kidnap Olive in the first place and alot of the plot for this cartoon is like which is by no means a bad thing as that's just how things where done back in those days but at the same time tho it would have helped this cartoon alot if the plot did get alot more focused and wasn't just used as an excuse for the jokes to happen with the plot of this cartoon also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this cartoon is William Costello as Popeye , William Pennell as Bluto and Mae Questel as Olive Oyl. While this cartoon does only have three actors in it that is pretty much the norm for these theatrical cartoons as alot of them for one reason or another only had a very small handful of actors appearing in them and even then unless your name was Mel Blanc they nearly always went uncredited which is something that just doesn't work as if you want to follow a certain actor then surely you want to name is so that you can follow there career and watch them grow as a performer with this cartoon really making use of it's three actors as even tho the character of Wimpy appears he never talks with the three characters that do speak being the only ones that are actually important to the plot of the cartoon but at the same time tho it would have made alot of the crowd scenes feel less empty if they did have actors speaking as that would make the stadium feel more alive but then again due to the fact that alot of cartoon only had very minimal casts heck Tom And Jerry is famous for not having either of it's main characters talk it would there for feel odd for this cartoon to break that mold as they had only just worked out how to make sound cartoons in the first place and so there therefor most likely wasn't alot of voice actors available and the actors that were available more then likely saw cartoons as being a lesser form of entertainment and so alot of cartoons much like this one would have had to make do with what little talent that they could most likely find at the time as cartoon were still a new thing let alone ones with sound in them as well.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very cartoon well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very cartoon was in all honesty really good. With this cartoons acting being alot more better then what it really had any right to be as alot of these very early cartoon did nine times out of ten have some really bad acting in them and therefor nobody back then would have blamed this cartoons actors if they chose to phone in there performances but they all manage to turn in some really good performances so much so that for a ling while these where the voices that people thought off when they thought of these characters and heck this cartoon even sees the debut of Mae Questel who was also the voice of Betty Boop debut as the new voice of Olive Oyl with her being really good for what this role was meant to do interms of the plots of these cartoons and while the voice of Popeye would get more better of the years William Costello does make for a good Popeye with the voice of Bluto being pretty much perfect right from the word go with all three of this cartoon actors turning in some really good and at times funny performances inn this very cartoon as well with it really being helped by the fact that this cartoons script is just so good that all this cartoons actors have to do is just the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very cartoon.

Doing the animation for this cartoon is the regular Popeye animators Seymour Kneitel and Roland Crandall. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very cartoon well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very cartoon was in all honesty really good and was more then up to the already high standard of animation that animation studio Fleischer Studios later renamed to Famous Studios were already known for and while yes this cartoon does have the one thing that I personally hate in alot of these early cartoons which is the fact that you see the characters bouncing up and down for no reason whatsoever there's no denying the fact that this cartoons animation was really good with it being so good infact that it could have been the animation for a feature length film and it wouldn't look out of place as that's just good that it looks with all of the characters even having this nice smooth and fluid movements to them with it being made crystal clear that all of the animators and crew that worked on not only this cartoon but alot of the Popeye cartoons as a whole where not only fans of the characters but were also really good at what they did as there putting in alot of there best effort into giving Popeye some truly good animation with this cartoons animation being so good that it could rival some of the early Mickey Mouse cartoons as it's just that good.

While the Popeye character did indeed start out life as a comic book character with him appearing in Thimble Theater. He now has found life as a slasher horror film villains thanks to the rights for him expiring and boy oh boy did horror film producers act quick as we've already had three Popeye themed horror films with Popeye's Revenge , Popeye The Slayer Man and Shiver Me Timbers all being released within the first few months of this year alone and yet Sony who did actually have the rights to make a Popeye movie at one point chose not to do so with both of these choices being baffling to say the least as surely if anything Bluto would be the horror villain and not Popeye this is something that the makers of these Popeye themed horror movies need to understand as while yes granted having Popeye be the villain is great for internet clicks and it does put more eyes on your movie but so does the fact that your making a Popeye themed horror movie regardless of he's the villain or not and as for Sony they straight up cancelled there animated Popeye movie despite it's test footage not only being fully animated and cast but also getting alot of positive responses from the audience with them instead choosing to make The Emoji Movie a movie which no one liked where as with the Popeye movie you could tell that there was some effort to make it like these more early Popeye cartoons as it had that exact same zany energy to it that these early cartoons had and is also something that the Popeye themed horror movies also don't have as there all playing it far to safe with even the best one Popeye The Slayer Man still not being as good as it really could have been either.

While there is action to be found in this cartoon they do put more of an effort in the cartoons comedy aspect. With this short cartoon being painfully funny with it having alot of jokes that have aged really well like the fact that when Olive should for Popeye at the start of the cartoon he then blushes and a heart with an anchor appears which is just so cute and of course there the usual jokes like Bluto using a horses tail as some stairs and even the fact that she's calling out for help Olive is still beating up Bluto and while granted that last one really isn't all that funny as it just goes to show you that these shorts can be badly written at times it is still a joke that works some of the time like in this cartoon for example as she's quite clearly not going to be beat up Bluto and so just kicking him will have to do for her and the cartoon is filled to the brim with jokes like this with nearly all of the cartoons jokes and sight gags working with them working nit because they mentioned a popular product or a meme but because of the fact that they are timeless jokes that when there done right are going to be making generations of people laugh with the best one of these jokes being the Popeye heart joke as it's noy only a really well done joke but it's also one that you don't really see coming and because of that it catches you off guard which is something that does make it all the more funnier then what it really had any right to be and it's something that makes you wonder why the makers of this cartoon didn't put more effort into these creative jokes instead of just relying on what worked as while the joke of someone using an animal as stairs will always work the one with Olive asking for help when she quite clearly doesn't need it doesn't always work alot of the time.

For some strange reason the makers of this cartoon thought that i'd be a good idea for Popeye to get jealous of Bluto. Which is something that just doesn't make alot of sense for either character as Bluto is meant the stereotypical bully character and Popeye is meant to be the one that over comes him at every turn and yet by having Popeye be jealous of Bluto all that does is make Popeye seem like the type of character who would get jealous if you had something that he didn't have and that's not true to his character and heck it's even him being jealous of Bluto that gets Olive kidnapped in the first place as Popeye is to busy showing off that Bluto decides to get even by taking one f the two things that Popeye loves the most in the world his girlfriend Olive Oyl when if the makers of this film wanted to have that kind of thing happen anyway all they had to do was have Bluto get jealous of Popeye and since he's meant to be a bully anyway they could have had him beat up Popeye and then take Olive Oyl just because he can do as that would something that's true to both of their characters and then they could have the big showdown with Popeye and Bluto and eventually have Popeye win the day and the girl but because they went the opposite route it makes everything that happens to Olive Oyl in this cartoon Popeye's fault as Bluto really wasn't doing anything other then his job when he first appeared in this cartoon and that was really it and yet Popeye was the one that got jealous of him and because of it Olive Oyl got kidnaped when if he hadn't done that she wouldn't have done and the whole idea of Popeye getting jealous of Bluto would be OK if it played into the characters arc for this cartoon but it doesn't as it's never brought up ever again.

Now then this cartoon has / had an exact grad total running time of exactly six minuets ad fifty three seconds. Which is not only the bogstanderd running time for alot of these early Popeye cartoons but also alot of these early theatrical cartoons as well with this cartoon really having the right amount of plot there to really cover that amount of running time as this is a cartoon that really doesn't need a long running time in order to tell it's story as all it needs is enough time to get across what the basic setup for the cartoon is and that's really it and while this cartoon doesn't really use it's running tome all that wisely as nothing from the plot to the characters are as fully developed as they really could have been in this cartoons defense however they don't really need to be as these cartoons aren't meant to be something that requires you to think whilst your watching them as you don't really go to cartoon like the Popeye cartoons or really even the Looney Tunes and Tom And Jerry ones to have fully developed plots and characters as all you want to see is either the jokes and the action and that's really it with the Disney ones being the ones that you go to for fully developed plots and characters and as such while it would yes have been nice if both the plot and the characters were fully developed characters there not something that's needed in order to make this cartoon enjoyable as for that all you really need is the characters and the wonderful animation and that's something that this cartoon already has going for it in the first place but I really will admit that this very cartoon really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this an action cartoon that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very cartoon and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very cartoon was in all honesty not that bad. However at the same time it wasn't all that good either as we don't get to see alot of zany action in this cartoon with Popeye only beating Bluto with ONE punch at the very end and that's really it with the rest of the cartoon being spent with Popeye showing of at the rodeo which is screen time what would gave been much more better served by having a longer fight scene as then both of the characters could really go at each other and while this cartoons action was by no means bad as it is serviceable but at the same time tho it's something that could have been so much more better like you could have had the characters use the animals as weapons or just something that takes full advantage of the fact that it's a cartoon with this cartoons action being something that could have been done in live action but with that being said the best and only action scene in this movie being the third act fight between Popeye and Bluto as even tho it gives us a much more shorter version of what a fight between these two characters should be with Bluto first beating up Popeye until Popeye eats some spinach before winning the day it was something that does still work enough in this cartoon for the action as a whole to be a really passable piece of action in this very cartoon in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while cheaply made horror movies might be what keeps Popeye in the public conscious for at the very least a little while it's these early cartoons that really did bring him to the main stream audience with this cartoon being a really very good example of that even if this cartoon isn't the best Popeye cartoon out there in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad thigs that are in this very cartoon in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very cartoon really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Popeye The Sailor Man fandom wiki page , Amazon . Co . Uk and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from this very cartoon that I used in this very review being the really great Google Images really simply just due to the fact that really alot of if not really all of the images that are all really from this very episode with alot of them being better quality then what you'd really think of and all of the images are really of course up and really on Google Images are also really all fairly high in quality and as well as them all being really fairly freaking high in definition.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Mystery Of The Cliffs PSA Review

To say that the nineties was the heyday for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would be a huge understatement. As not only did they have a very popular animated TV series , three live action movies and a live action TV series which also crossed over with Power Ranger In Space however people really seem to forget or just straight up don't know about all of the more stranger pieces of Turtle media to come out in that decade and well I thought i'd take a look at one of the two live action PSA's that they did and so then join me as I review the PSA that merges THREE piece of turtles media together with the PSA in question being called simply just "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Mystery Of The Cliffs" enjoy.

The plot of this PSA is when Splinter sends the Turtles out into the dessert for some training they discover members of the Foot Clan stealing somethings within the cliffs and have to stop them before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very PSA well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt hat the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very SA was in all honesty not that bad but at the same time it wasn't all that good either as it did a good job of doing whatever it was that it was trying to do but at the same time tho it makes zero sense for the turtles to be out in the dessert in the first place as Splinter doesn't fully explain why he wants them out there in the first place with the dialog explaining it feeling forced as even tho it's meant for us the audience the characters would already know why there out there and so they wouldn't need to repeat it in the first place look fair enough you need to have a reason for these characters to be in this location and this PSA quite clearly didn't have a budget but at the same time tho there should have been a lot more effort into giving this PSA a plot that not only makes sense for the story that there trying to tell but also for the characters as well as the turtles especially the 1980 animated series turtles would never be caught dead in a dessert because there's no way for them to get any Pizza with this PSA's plot feeling like it was written by someone who was only given a brief outline of who the turtles are but quite clearly isn't a fan of them in the first place with the plot of this PSA not really being really rather entertaining and nor is it really rather engaging either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this PSA is Cam Clarke as The Voice Of Leonardo and Townsend Coleman as The Voice Of Michelangelo. Also starring in this PSA is Barry Gordon as The Voice Of Donatello , Rob Paulsen as The Voice Of Raphael , Peter Renaday as The Voice Of Splinter and Splinter's Ancestor , David Anthony as Splinter and Splinter's Ancestor , Mark Barrett as Michelangelo , Michael Carpio as A Foot Ninja , Laura Kotecki as Leonardo , Danyol Leon as Donatello , Scott Quintard as A Foot Ninja , James Saba as A Foot Ninja and Danielle Silveira as A Raphael.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very PSA well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very PSA was in all honesty not that bad. Which in this case is something that does make sense as it's actors are quite literally just the same voice actors from the original show all of whom are reprising their roles in this PSA and there for thy would have of course know how best to perform there roles with the in suit actors doing a passable job given not only the suits that they had to work with but also the fact that this PSA had no budget to it but at the same time tho this is quite clearly not the best work from the actors that are reprising their roles as even tho there not sleepwalking through this entire PSA at all it's quite clear just feel lost and unsure of themselves like there not being given the right direction needed and this is something that this PSA's director Jacques Guerin really should have helped them with as that is something that would have made this special all the more watchable then what it already is with the acting that's in this very PSA not really being helped buy the fact that this PSA's scrips is just so bad as it gives none of this PSA's actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there actual characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does harm the overall quality of the acting that's in this very PSA.

For one reason or another the makers of this PSA chose to make Mikey's entire character be about Pizza as that's all he talks about in this PSA. While yes both he and the other turtles love Pizza this is something that we all know but they don't all keep on talking about it all the time as no joke around ninety percent of Mikey's dialog in this PSA is just made up of him talking about Pizza with the other ten percent being made up of nineties catchphrases and it got to the point where I was dreading him having to talk about of the fact that I knew right away what his dialog was going to be about and this is a good example of the makers of this PSA not really being fans of the characters and just being given a very brief outline of who the turtles are as no self respecting turtles fan would just have the characters talking about Pizza and having the one turtle that alot of nineties kids loved become so annoying in this one PSA that you actively dread having to hear him talk because you know where his dialog is going to go and while yes it would have been hard to get people who are adults and who are fans of the original animated series turtles to write this PSA as they more then likely didn't exist but at the same time you could have gotten advice from the makers of that show on how to write for the characters or even perhaps watched one of the shows episodes just something would have done as then you would know that Mikey doesn't talk about Pizza in every other sentence but that would mean that the makers of this special would actually have to do the work to understand these characters which is something that they just didn't do and that is something that you can tell just by the way that they handled not only Mikey but the rest of the characters as well.

Believe it or not not only is the not the first live action turtles PSA but also this PSA actually combines THREE elements from other turtles media as we have the voice actors from the original show all of whom are reprising their roles for this PSA but we also have the music from the firs two live action films and we have the suits from the The Coming Out Of Their Shells Tour as well. Which is just weird and yet at the same time oddly awsome to see as well as one of the things that people love about the first two live action films was the music and the suits from the tour is one of the best things about the tour and the fact that they got the original actors back does lend the project some legitimacy to the project but all it does is remind you of those other projects and it makes you wonder the makers of this PSA went this route as they could have put together some cheaply made turtle suits or gone the Operation Blue Line route and have the suit mascots be the suits used in this special and they could have come up with an original score instead of sourcing it from somewhere else but in saying that the disco type version of the nineties movie theme song that they play over the end credits was pretty good and the makers of this PSA did know when to use a creepy piece of music from either film but again tho hearing these tracks play over a scene with the tours suits just feels weird somehow as at the very least with the Operation Blue Line PSA they used there own score and had there own suits whilst also oddly enough using the original series actors.

Perhaps the smartest thing that the makers of this PSA did was have Donatello be the one that spouts out all of the information by why us the audience should want to preserve these old buildings in the mountains. As that is something that is perfect for his character as he is meant to be the smart one of the group and so of course he would be the one to listen the hardest when Splinter is telling it to them in the first place which makes it all the more weird when both Mikey and Raph pick on Leo for not remining them about it when all they have to do is ack Donatello who is standing quite literally a few feet away from them in the first place and while this is understandable given that it is a PSA alot of his dialog is all about trying to save the things that are to be found in these maintains which does make sense given that this is a PSA but at the same time you don't need to keep on going on about it as mentioning it once or twice would have hit the mark all the same but given that this PSA was made for little kids it does also make sense that Donatello would keep on going on about it as that's who he's trying to get through to at the end of the day and having him be the one to tell all of the turtles these facts about the maintains that there in does oddly enough make alot of sense and is actually the only thing that's in this PSA that actually does make sense as alot of it is just weird at best and at it's worst just feels like the people that are making this PSA are trying to hard to make a good turtles product instead of actually making a good piece of turtles media in the first place.

In what is both an understandable and yet at the exact same time baffling reason this PSA dedicated about four to five minuets at the end very end just to telling us why we the audience should want to see these old mountain buildings be kept as they are. This is baffling in the sense that they just dedicated the first twelve minuets of the PSA to exactly that and now after the end credits have finished there now doing a more shortened version of it which is something that really doesn't make any kind of sense whatsoever as no kid is going to willingly watch an additional five minuets of this PSA tape as it's telling them things that just don't interest them but to play devils advocate here it does also make sense to do exactly that as it does give you information about what you should do should you see someone trying to take something from them and it tells you where they either are or now where as well why alot of that really couldn't have been covered in the main PSA tho remains a mystery in it's own right as those are things that Splinter surely would have told the turtles before they left to go into the dessert and heck given that we also see members of The Foot Clan stealing things from one of these buildings it also would have been oddly relevant to the main plot as well with it being tacked on at the very end it only makes it feel like that it was something that the makers of this PSA forgot to do whilst filming it and so they just stuck it on at the end and had Barry Gordon do voice over over a couple of still images and called it a day which if that is the case is just a lazy to it as it is something that could have been worked into the main plot of the actual PSA itself.

Now then this PSA has/ had an exact grand total running time of exactly nineteen minuets and forty four seconds. Which is a fairly solid running time for this PSA to have but in saying that this PSA really doesn't have alot of plot there to really cover that amount of running time as by all rights this PSA's plot only about should have been ten minuets long and no more then that with both the end credits and the after credits speech from Donatello eating up alot of the PSA's running time with this not really being helped by the fact that it doesn't even use it's running time all that wisely either as nothing be it from the plot to the characters is particularly fleshed out which is to be expected as these were never meant to be seen by alot of people apart from kids in schools and that's really it but at the same time tho even PSA's should have fully fleshed out out plots look at another Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles PSA called "Cartoon All Stars To The rescue" as a prime example of that as while yes it was still trying to get across a very important message it still took the time to fully develop it's plot and characters to the point where you want to care about them and where you want to see them succeed here tho because neither is fully fleshed out us the audience can't care for either the plot or it's characters as the SA doesn't really give us a reason to care form them outside of the fact that there characters from a hugely successful TV show and that's really it but I really will admit that this PSA really does does have some really pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in tis very PSA well then in all honesty I in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very SA was in all honesty not that good. With nothing that the turtles say being particularly funny or clever either with them instead just feeling like that the writers of this PSA  were trying to hard to be funny and clever where as the turtles from the original eighties TV series just were and while yes they were goofy and silly it was that exact goofiness and silliness that not only made them enduring but also both funny and likable where as here because of the fact that the characters aren't being goofy and silly there not that enduring and there not the funny with the only funny thing in this whole PSA not even being something that the turtles said or did as just before they are about to fight the members of The Foot Clan the PSA does a random scene transition to after the fight which is only funny as it makes you realise just how cheaply made this PSA was and heck even the The Coming Out Of Their Shells Tour which was still done pretty cheap still managed to have a fight scene with the turtles , shredder and the foot clan and yet this special couldn't afford to have the four or five Foot Clan actors be involved in a fight scene with the turtles and that is the best joke and it's not even something that the turtles as all it does is put emphasis on just how cheaply made and how quickly thrown together that this PSA was of that is the best joke in this whole entire PSA as the thing as a whole just isn't that funny in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this PSA does get credit for having turtle suits that has mouths that actually open and partly close the better live action PSA has to be Operation Blue Line just because of the fact that we get to the turtles out of New York and in LA for literally no good reason whatsoever where as here there's nothing that's all that redeemable about this PSA as it's just that bad and is better left forgotten about in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very PSA in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very PSA really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 3 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and a swell as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images from this very PSA that I used in this very review being the really great Google Image fandom wiki page really simply just due to the fact that really alot of if not really all of the images that are all really from this very PSA with alot of them being better quality then what you'd really think of and all of the images are really of course up and really on Google Images are also really all fairly high in quality and as well as them all being really fairly freaking high in definition.
