Game Of Thrones "Valar Morghulis" Review

 

Game Of Thrones fans i'm not making this up when I say that it's been roughly a decade since i've seen anything from season 2 of this show. As such I thought that it was only about right that I cover an episode from this particular season of the show and well i've picked a really good episode from this season of the show to review and so then join me as I review the episode that brought back Jason Momoa with the episode in question being called simply just "Valar Morghulis" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is Dany tries to get her dragons back all the while the King thanks those who helped him fight in a war. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad altho I will admit that parts of this episodes plot a fairly forgettable tho in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister and Lena Headey as Queen Cersei Lannister. Also starring in this episode is Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Ser Jaime Lannister , Michelle Fairley as Lady Catelyn Stark , Emilia Clarke as Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen , Aidan Gillen as Lord Petyr Baelish , Iain Glen as Ser Jorah Mormont , Kit Harington as Jon Snow , Charles Dance as Lord Tywin Lannister , Richard Madden as King Robb Stark , Isaac Hempstead-Wright as Prince Bran Stark , Sophie Turner as Princess Sansa Stark , Maisie Williams as Princess Arya Stark , Alfie Allen as Prince Theon Greyjoy , John Bradley as Samwell Tarly , Jack Gleeson as King Joffrey Baratheon , Natalie Dormer as Lady Margaery Tyrell , Stephen Dillane as King Stannis Baratheon , Carice Van Houten as Melisandre , Conleth Hill as Lord Varys , Sibel Kekilli as Shae , Oona Chaplin as Lady Talisa Maegyr , Gwendoline Christie as Brienne Of Tarth and Jason Momoa as Khal Drogo.

Now then interms if what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. Which is nothing new for Game Of Thrones since even the worst episodes of Game Of Thrones have some really good acting within them in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the CGI for this episode is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Pixomondo and Baked FX. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good with the dragons fire effects looking really freaking good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This episode does also continue the budding friendship between Jaimie and Brienne Of Tarth which was something that I rather liked. As it was their relationship that helped steer the show through it's more rougher seasons plus it really does help that the two of them really do have some really good chemistry together and do genuinely come across as being a pair of very good friends in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This is very apparent in their only scene in the episode where the two have to use their wits to escape a bunch of rogue Stark soldiers. Which I really did like as it shows that these two characters are very slowly going from two people that don't like each other to a pair of people who now somewhat enjoy each other's company and is a very good sign of character development in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

There is one thing which now upon reflection is very confusing and that's the fact that at the end of this season we see a bunch of White Walkers walking to The Wall with The Wall only a few hundred yards away. So then why does it take them until season 7 to break through when it's so clearly being set up that season 3 was going to deal with them invading Westeros I haven't seen season 3 in a long time either so maybe it gets explained there but it seems like a rather confusing ending scene when you now look back at it upon reflection in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this episode has / had a grand total running time of exactly one hour and three minuets and twenty six seconds. Which is roughly the bog standard running time for a season finale to Game Of Thrones and it really does help that this episode in particular has more then enough there in terms of either plot or story to cover that rather large amount of running time in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this show is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. However there where alot of very quick cuts in this episodes action which did make it very hard for me personally to work out what was actually going on which is not a good thing at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this episode is a prime example of what this show was like when it was at it's prime because that's how good that not only this episode is but also how good this show was when it was in it's prime in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 9.5 out of 10 from me.

Krypton TV Series "Pilot" Review

 

Superman as a character has been the focus of a lot of live action TV shows with one still airing as we speak. However there hasn't been a live action TV show that's based upon Superman's home world of Krypton well then that all changed in the year of 2018 when the first episode of a new TV show aired and so then join me as I review the first episode of the show that explores Superman's home world with the show being called Krypton and the episode itself being called simply just "Pilot" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is in all honesty rather hard to describe since there's not really a plot to speak of what so ever. Which would be a huge red flag for me personally but given that this is only the pilot episode it makes sense that there isn't much of a plot in this episode since this episode is alot more focused on setting up the world and it's characters but it still would have been nice to see some sort of a plot in this episode tho in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El , Georgina Campbell as Lyta-Zod and Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange. Also starring in this episode is Elliot Cowan as Daron-Vex , Ann Ogbomo as Jayna-Zod , Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em , Rasmus Hardiker as Kem , Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex , Blake Ritson as Brainiac/ The Voice Of Rao , Ian McElhinney as Val-El , Paula Malcomson as Charys-El and Rupert Graves as Ter-El.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in his very episode was in all honesty OK at best. This is because this episodes script gives this episodes cast nothing to work with and so they can only do so much to make this episodes script work well enough for them in their favour in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the CGI for this episode and I assume the rest of the series is BUF , DNegTV and the legends and the greats that are currently over at Rodeo FX. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad espically for something that was created in a SYFY Channel budget in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This episode really does shove Superman in your face which is understandable for this show however this episode doesn't go that long without brining him up. Which is a bit much and it is something that does get a little annoying and it is something that takes away from the main characters since it doesn't allow us to get to know these characters since all their doing is shoving Superman down our throats in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I have to admit that the idea of someone destroying various planets just to make sure that Superman isn't even born is a good idea. However at the exact same time tho this episode really doesn't do all that much in setting up that idea other then just straight up saying that's what there going to be doing and that's such a shame because there's so much that you could do with this idea if it's something that's properly explored in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I do like the idea of exploring the planets politics since that is something that we genuinely haven't seen in a live action adaptation of Superman. However instead of going the Game Of Thrones route this show plays it safe which isn't that interesting since it makes those scenes all the more boring and it makes the world feel alot more smaller then what it actually is and I get not going that much into the politics of this world in the first episode but when your whole basic premise is built around showing us what life was like on this planet before it blows and then not delivering on that premise in a satisfactory way then you have a huge problem on your hands in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty three minuets and six seconds. Which for an episode like this one is such a short amount of time since this episode really should have been a feature length episode which then would have allowed for the show and for the episodes storyline to be fully developed and it would have allowed for the shows characters to comes as alot more three dimensional but as it is alot of scenes get rushed because of the fact that they have to hit the next plot point and that's not a good thing at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

So now then since there is some action in this episode that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. Which granted isn't really saying all that much since we don't get alot of action in this episode but what little action that we did get was really good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a decent first episode to this show since it did a somewhat decent job of setting up this shows main storyline however it forgot to have an actual story in this first episode which made this episode feel boring and unneeded at times in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Doctor Who: The Power Of The Daleks Review

Doctor Who fans it's been quite a long time since i've last covered a classic Doctor Who serial and well then the serial that i've chosen to review for all today is well and truly iconic. I will well and truly admit that the only reason that I chose this serial to review for all today was that I just fancied watching it and then thus reviewing it and so then join me as I review the serial that is the first ever post regeneration serial with the serial in question being called simply just "The Power Of The Daleks" enjoy.

The plot of this serial is a recently regenerated Doctor takes him and his companions Polly and Ben to the planet Vulcan where a scientist is trying to turn some old enemies of The Doctor's into his slaves and it's up to The Doctor and his companions to save the day before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very serial well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very serial was in all honesty really good and was also rather shockingly suspenseful as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this serial is Patrick Troughton as The Doctor , Anneke Wills as Polly and Michael Craze as Ben Jackson. Also starring in this serial is Bernard Archard as Bragen , Peter Bathurst as Hensell , Robert James as Lesterson , Nicholas Hawtrey as Quinn , Pamela Ann Davy as Janley , Martin King as The Examiner , Edward Kelsey as Resno , Richard Kane as Valmar , Steven Scott as Kebble and Peter Hawkins as The Voice Of The Daleks.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very serial well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very serial was in all honesty really good.  With all three of the series main leads turning in some really good performances and this serials guest cast more then holding there own performance wise when compared to the series three main leads that is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

For the absolutely life of me I cannot find out who did the actual animation for this serial which is a shame. Simply because the actual animation that was actually featured / presented to us in this very serial was in all honesty not that bad for the most part however there where one or two very dodgy looking shots which isn't a knock against the animators but is a more a knock against the BBC who give these animators such a short amount of time to animate six episodes and so then of course we are going to end up with one or two very dodgy looking animated shots in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Daleks creator Terry Nation once said that he didn't like this serial because he felt that they made the Daleks to kind and sweet. I have to disagree because of the fact that they made the Daleks alot more manipulative which to me is alot more scary then them being just a pure force or pure evil since this way you never know what there going to do next and you don't know how there really feeling in any given situation and that right there makes them alot more scarier in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This episode is iconic for the fact that it's the shows first ever post regeneration episode and this is where we get into the negatives of the serial. Simply because this serial really didn't really explore the effects of regeneration which is to be expected since this was the first post regeneration episode but at the same time I feel that it really would have added something to this serial if they did explore the after effects of regeneration in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

To me if you want any actor to prove that they are The Doctor then you pit them against the Daleks and so having The Second Doctor go against the Daleks in his outing. Is a good way to get across who this character is because no other villain is going to push The Doctor further then The Daleks and so having the Daleks be the first foe that this incarnation of the Doctor goes up against is more then enough to give you a very good idea of who this Doctor is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then while I cannot remember whatever this serials running time even was I do know that for a fact that this serial had a grand total running time of roughly two hours and fifteen minuets. With this serial being six episodes long which is more then enough time and more then enough episode count in order to tell this and do this story some freaking justice and do it well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since there is some action in this serial that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very serial and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very serial was in all honesty not that bad. With this serials action really making the Daleks look like a real threat which is what you want from an action scene that's featuring the Daleks in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this serial is perhaps the best if not one of the best Dalek serials ever made simply because it makes the Daleks an actual threat which is what you always want a Dalek story to do in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very serial in this very review and as such that means that this very serial erns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8.5 out of 10 from me.

Gekisou Sentai Carranger "Fighting For Traffic Safety" Review

 

Power Rangers fans even tho it's been a shockingly long time since I last reviewed anything to do with Power Rangers. I thought that now was the absolutely right time to review something from the franchise that spawned Power Rangers that of course being Super Sentai and so then join me as I review the first episode of the show is a parody of the Super Sentai format and formula with the show being called Gekisou Sentai Carranger and the first episode being called simply just "Fighting For Traffic Safety" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is after his home planet is destroyed an alien called Dappu arrives of earth to find the five heroes who will begin to bring peace to the galaxy. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with this episodes plot being the stereotypical plot for a first episode but one that is also rather enjoyable and fun to watch play out in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Yūji Kishi as Kyosuke Jinnai , Yoshihiro Masujima as Naoki Domon and Yoshihiro Fukuda as Minoru Uesugi. Also starring in this episode is Yuka Motohashi as Natsumi Shinohara , Atsuko Kurusu as Youko Yagami , Mari Maruta as The Voice Of Dappu , Rika Nanase as Beauty Zonnette , Hiroshi Ōtake as The Voice Of President Gynamo , Kyousei Tsukui as The Voice Of Deputy Leader Zelmoda and Takashi Nagasako as The Voice Of Inventor Grotch.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. With all of this episodes quite clearly trying to make this material work however this episodes script just doesn't give any of this episodes cast anything to work with what so freaking in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This episode has a shockingly dark opening since we open upon the episode with a gang destroying an entire planet. Which was something that you'd never ever see on an episode of Power Rangers and yes they do confirm that all of the planets inhabitants died in the explosion which just goes to show you just how dark this episodes opening scene well and truly is and it oddly works well enough in this freaking episodes favour in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

For those that don't know this particular sentai is actually meant to be viewed as a parody of the sentai format and formular and as a parody this episode does work really well. With this episode having alot of good jokes that not only take aim at the Sentai franchise but at every day live with the five main heroes having to literally be dragged into action which is just the best joke in the entire episode in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I don't really think that this needs to be said since you can quite clearly tell by the pictures but this sentai had it's footage used in Power Rangers Turbo. With from what I can tell very little footage from this episode being used at all in Power Rangers Turbo but I could be wrong tho but given that this sentai is meant to be a parody it makes me wonder why the makers behind Power Rangers chose to adapt this sentai since it's quite clearly something that's not be to taken seriously in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

For some reason this show chose to make it's main guardian character seem fairly unlikable and really annoying. Since he's given this really annoying voice and an irritating personally with him lying to our heroes in order to get them to do whatever they he wants him to do which makes him seem really unlikable and so I can only hope that he gets better as the show goes on but so far this character is not of to a good start at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this episode has / had a grand total running time of exactly nineteen minuets and fifty nine seconds and so then lets round all of that up to twenty minuets shall we. I will admit this episode could have been a bit longer since it throws so much at you in such a short amount of time that it's hard to keep up with what's going on story wise and so if anything this episode should at the very freaking least have been two episodes long in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.  

So now then this episode does have alot of action within it and so then that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. However that's also the issue because of the fact that this episodes action isn't that particularly good ether in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Overall this episode was a good episode and you can quite easily see why Power Rangers Turbo is considered to be such a bad season of the show since this episode features alot of what makes that show so bad in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. What If... Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead Of His Hands? Review

 

Marvel fans the company has pretty much conquered the live action world and well it was only a matter of time before Marvel Studios turned it's head to the world of animation. Well just last year we got the great What If series which gave us a chance to look at our favourite heroes in a new light and well then join me as I review the episode that is quite possibly the saddest episode of the show with the episode in question being called simply just "What If... Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead Of His Hands?" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is after the death of his one true love Doctor Steven Strange embarks on a quest to bring her back to life. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good with this episodes plot being the best plot of the entire show for me personally just due to how impactful it is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Jeffrey Wright as Uatu / The Watcher and Benedict Cumberbatch as Evil Stephen Strange / Evil  Doctor Strange and Regular Stephen Strange / Regular Doctor Strange. Also starring in this episode is Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer , Benedict Wong as Wong , the great Tilda Swinton as Ancient One , Ike Amadi as Cagliostro / O'Bengh and Leslie Bibb as Christine Everhart.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with all of this episodes main cast delivering some truly wonderful freaking performances in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the animation for this episode is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Flying Bark Productions. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad with this episode giving us some truly striking images and some truly striking animation as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This episode is perhaps the most heartbreaking episode of this show since all you have to do is imagine seeing the love of your life dying over and over again and you can't do anything to stop it. On top of that all of the action that Steven Strange takes to keep Christine alive ultimately end up in the destruction of his own universe and so he still doesn't get to be with the one person that he loves in this world and that is such a tragic ending to this episode in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I really do think that this episode is kind of like Breaking Bad in the sense that both shows are about the good guy falling from grace and becoming the bad guy. Where as Breaking Bad had several seasons to tell that story this show only had one episode and it did the best that it could telling it however I would have liked it if this story was told over several episodes since it is a really interesting story to freaking tell when done well that is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I really do think that they should have shown us a little bit more of what Steven's relationship with Christine was like before she died. Since then it would  have made her death all the more impactful where as here I really did feel nothing because we know nothing about this version of the character and since her death is a key plot point it would have helped the episode quite alot if we got to see what there freaking relationship was actually like in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly thirty four minuets and forty four seconds. Which was a great amount of time to tell this one storyline however this story would have benefitted from a much longer running time since then you could have delved into the characters a bit more and the Evil Strange's relationship with Cagliostro / O'Bengh and show us how his death effects Strange as well in my freaking opinions anyways /at least.

So now then since this episode is an action episode that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty OK at best. Which is a shame because the very idea f Doctor Strange fighting himself really does open it up to some really creative action scenes that this episode just doesn't take full advantage of in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall interms of emotional impact this episode is quite easily the best episode of this truly phenomenal show and it's one that I highly  recommend people go back and watch again just due to how good this episode is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Green Lantern: Beware My Power Mild Spoilers Film Review

 

DC fans there is a new direct to DVD animated DC Comics movie out and while i'm slightly late getting this review i'm finally getting to it. I will very fully admit that I just straight up forgot about this film even being a thing which I think is also true for an awful lot of people and so then join me as I review the film that brings a fan favourite Green Lantern to the small screen with the film in question being called simply just "Green Lantern: Beware My Power" enjoy.

The plot of this film is Jon Stewart is made a Green Lantern and so he is Green Arrow go to find out what happened to the rings previous owner Hal Jordan. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / resented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad but at the same it really didn't feel like a plotline that was worthy of being in a feature length film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Starring in this film is Aldis Hodge as John Stewart , Jimmi Simpson as Green Arrow and Nolan North as Hal Jordan. Also starring in this film is Ike Amadi as Martian Manhunter , Brian Bloom as Adam Strange , Jamie Gray Hyder as Lt. Shayera Hol / Hawkgirl , Rick Wasserman as Sinestro , Sunil Malhotra as The Green Lantern Ring , Mara Junot as Lyssa Drak and Banth Dar , Jason J. Lewis as Ganthet and Captain Kantu and Keesha Sharp as Vixen.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With alot of this films cast making the most of what little this films script gives them to actually work with interms of their characters and personalities in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Doing the animation for this film is Edge Animation Co., LTD , The Answer Studio , Maven Image Platform and Studio Grida. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad and while yes there are some fairly badly animated scenes in this movie those are in the minority and don't represent the majority in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

MILD SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!

For all of you wondering yes they do find away to write out the entire Justice League from this film with them giving some pretty weak reasons as to why there not coming with Jon and Oliver. Since they tell us that both Superman and Wonder Woman are off world and that Batman has done one of his disappearing acts which to that I say that they could have called Superman and Wonder Woman anyways to ask for help but for some strange reason they don't do that at all and both Vixen and Martian Manhunter openly choose to stay behind for little to no reason which is just bad screen writing right there in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This is in all honesty a really stupid way to write of the entire Justice League since they very easily could have just called Superman and Wonder Woman later on in the film to ask for help. Heck if your going to write out the entire the Justice League then at least say that they've lost contact with the Justice League and will thus be unavailable for the foreseeable future since that is more realistic explanation then what we got in the film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I'm not going to spoil what actually happens to Hal Jordan but I will say that it does somewhat make sense. Altho it does go against his character a little bit altho given the explanation that give for his actions it is somewhat understandable but it's something that could have been handled much better with it being painfully obvious what's going on with Hal from a very early stage in the film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly running time of exactly one hour and twenty seven minuets and thirty seconds. Which is a good thing simply because this film really doesn't have enough there in terms of either plot or story to last any longer then that which is just due to the fact that this films storyline is very simple and is very thin at best in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now  then since this film is an action film and that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty i in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / resented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With all of this films main heroes getting a decent amount of screen time to show what they can in this films many action sequences in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a very enjoyable film to watch and it's glad to see DC Animation getting back to making actually good direct to DVD animated films again after the last few films not being that good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Yona Of The Dawn "Princess Yona" AND "Torn Bonds" Review

 

Anime fans I cannot for the absolutely live of me remember the last time that I made an anime post and well I thought that i'd put an end to that right now. By reviewing two episodes of a show that I haven't seen in years this is despite owning the first half of this show on both Blu-ray and DVD and so then join me as I review the episodes that will make you go off falling in love with an evil lord forever with the episodes in question being called simply just "Princess Yona" and "Torn Bonds" and the show itself being called simply just "Yona Of The Dawn" enjoy.

The basic plot of both of these episodes is that Princess Yona is a spoilt princess who after seeing her father die has to whatever it takes to bring his killer to justice no matter what it takes. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these episodes was in all honesty not that bad since these first two episodes do a fairly solid job of setting up the main conflict of the show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in these episodes are co-writer Monica Rial as Yona , Christopher R. Sabat as Son Hak and Micah Solusod as Su-Won. Also starring in these episodes are Sean Hennigan as King Il , Lindsay Seidel as Min-su , John Burgmeier as Keishuk , Clifford Chapin as Yun , Ian Sinclair as Gija , Eric Vale as Sinha , Joel McDonald as Jae-ha , Power Rangers legend Johnny Yong Bosch as Yuhon and Josh Grelle as Jeno.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty really good. With all of these episodes main cast members turning in some really good performances in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the animation for these episodes are the legends and the greats that are currently over at Studio Pierrot. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in these episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty really good even tho you can quite clearly tell where there  cheaped out on the animation which does harm the over all quality of the animation in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

These episodes do something that alot of media is very afraid to do and that's give us an actually strong female character. Since in these first two episodes we see Yona go from this character who is only interested in falling in love with her childhood best friend to someone who is willing to fight for whatever she believes in and we also get to see how her trusting nature can also be a curse as well as a blessing all of which serve to make her a rather strong female character in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Sadly tho it's not all good since there are some things in these first two episodes that I really didn't like the first of which being the fact that the overall threat of this show doesn't really feel all of that threatening which makes sense for the start of episode but it doesn't make sense for the second half of episode and all of episode two tho. The second thing that I didn't like is the character of Su-Won since he's not really given much of an actual personality and that does make it hard for me to connect with him as a character in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

The first episode does somewhat try to start a romance angle between Yona and Su-Won but as to be expected it doesn't really go anywhere. Which does make me wonder why the makers of this show even included this angle yes it might have been in the Manga but that doesn't mean that it has to make it into the anime adaptation since we all know where it's going to go just from looking at the above picture in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then these episodes have a grand total combined running time of roughly around forty fiver minutes. With each episode being around twenty two minuets each which is the bog standerd running time for any anime episode to last and to this shows credit it does make the most out of that running time I just wish that each episode lasted a little bit longer just so that they could further flesh out the characters and not have them seem freaking one dimensional in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

So now then there is some action in these episodes and that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in these episodes and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad. However that's also the issue because it wasn't that good either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Overall these first two episodes where a pair of really entertaining episodes and it really does shock me that not alot of anime fans talk about this show all that since from what I remember this show was a very entertaining show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in these very episodes in this very review and that means that these very episodes ern a score of a 7 out of 10 for episode one and a 7.5 for episode two with them getting a combined score of a 7.5 out of 10 from me.
