Top 5 Modern Cartoons

Well hello there cartoon lovers since my last cartoon themed list did pretty good i thought i would return with another one but this time focusing on my personal top 5 modern cartoons i must however state that this is just my own personal list so please don't hurt me :P

5) Ben 10 2016 / The Powerpuff Girls 2016

i really couldn't choose which one to put here so i went with both of them just because these two shows for me at least are pure escapist entertainment and since i never watched the original Ben 10 i can't say which is better and while the new Powerpuff Girls is indeed pretty bad it does have some good voice acting and some good episodes.

4) My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

I went with this series over Adventure Time because of two reasons the first being i couldn't find any reasons why i liked Adventure Time and the second being that not only has this show brought together two generations of fans but it also teaches you lessons that we as adults could adhere two every now and then.

3) Steven Universe

This is at number three because while it does have great writing and great songs since i only started watching the show near the end of season 3 i don't have that connection that the die hard fans have so this is more of a personal thing then anything else.

2) Milo Murphy's Law

This show to me at least is really strange but it has great witty dialog which i love and i find my self laughing at least once in nearly every episode plus it has Weird Al and that's a win for any show.

1) Mighty Magiswords

This show is just freaking funny as hell it has a premise that i havn't seen before the jokes nearly always hit and i like the animation it reminds me alot of shows like Tiny Toons and Animaniacs where they have these great funny leads and then surrounded them with crazy side characters and plots.

My Top 5 Iconic Cartoon Vehicles

Hello there cartoon fans you know i was thinking today about my childhood and things that really stuck out especially from cartoon shows and then i thought well why not make a list of my top 5 iconic cartoon vehicles and before i start one of these shows is based on a live action show but it did get a cartoon counterpart so it counts so let's begin.

5) The General Lee From The Dukes

I admit that my love for this car stems mostly from the live action show The Dukes Of Hazzard but it looks so good in animation form that i just had to include it.

4) The Turtle Van From TMNT 1980's Series

I loved this van growing up and what's not to like about it it has everything a turtle's fan could ever want it has gadgets and it has guns and all the turtle vehicles are somehow always stored in the van.

3) Thunderbird 2 From Thunderbirds

This choice is something that most Americans won't know about but it's some what of a British institution and i loved watching the original Thunderbirds when i was growing up in the 90's and the one vehicle i loved the most was Thunderbird 2 out of all he vehicles they had on that show this is the one that not only looked like it could do anything but could do so with some style.

2) Batmobile From Batman The Animated Series

Just look at this car it's so freaking cool and the fact that the animators went out of there way to make it look like the 1989 Batmobile is really something.

1) The Mystery Machine

This car might not be the most reliable in fact it spends half of it's time breaking down but with a franchise as iconic as Scooby Doo all you would have to do is show someone just the side of this van and they know what it is instantly and the franchise is till on going it's been viewed by that many people over the years that it's earned it's place in Cartoon Vehicle history.

Wake Up, Girls! Seishun no Kage Review

Hello there anime fans i'm here today with the first true sequel to what i think is now the third best idol anime series ever Wake Up, Girls! Seishun no Kage so here we go.

The plot of this fifty five minuet follow up is that the girls have signed a major record deal in Tokyo and that company chooses to release there song 7 Girls War and that's really it it's a simple story but for this special it really works even if the film has pretty bad pacing.

The voice cast from the tv series all return to voice there characters and all of them do a really solid job with the script that there given but while they do a good job they don't really bring anything new to the characters all of them instead of being three dimensional characters end up just being 2D and i'm not blaming the VA's at all i'm blaming the writer.

The animation in this film / special is pretty good you can tell from the very start that there was a huge bump up in the budget and i'm glad that this franchise is being given a chance because i really want it to succeed. There was a lot of fluid looking animation in the special / film and lots of stunning backgrounds but i couldn't help but notice some lazy animation especially when it comes to the girls mouth movements.

As with any idol anime the most important thing is the music at least it is to me anyways and the three songs that are featured here are pretty good of course we have 7 Girls War but then we have two movie exclusive songs who's names i've forgotten but the last two songs do there job really well but nothing is going to top the awesomeness that is 7 Girls War and nothing ever will.

Ok people i've held this off long enough i have to talk about the freaking terrible ending the film for some reason chooses to end with no resolution which really p****d me off even if this film is just a part 1 you still need somethings to be resolved and something to lead you into part 2 and while we do get that last part we don't get the first part and the film chooses to end on a song. There is a mid-credits scene but really doesn't do anything and could have been the scene before the credits.

Overall guys i'd say that if you were a fan of the Wake Up Girls anime series and the Zoo spin-off then i suggest that you watch this movie because it gets you cought up with the characters that you love but that being said it has terrible pacing and pretty bad editing and you know my thoughts on the freaking ending i give this movie a solid 6.0 out of 10

Shingeki no Kyojin Movie 2: Jiyuu no Tsubasa AKA Attack On Titan: The Wings Of Freedom Review

Hello anime fans i'm here to get you all ready for season 2 of Attack On Titan and the best way i thought i could do is if i review the second movie called Shingeki no Kyojin Movie 2: Jiyuu no Tsubasa since i've already reviewed the first one  so here we go with the second .

Now here is where i would get into the story of the film but since this film is a recap from the second half of the first season i will just say watch the first season of the show and you'll get the story. I will however say this the film's pacing isn't that good there are scenes that could have served from getting trimmed down a bit.

All the voice actors from the series are all back (duh) and they all do a great job voicing there characters one of the things i liked about not only the first movie but also the few episodes of season one i did watch was the voice acting and how the actors were able to make you believe that this world is real and so are the threats within it.

The animation is freaking brilliant the motions were very fluid and life like but you can tell that this was done on a TV budget this is sadly one of the short comings that all recap movies have especially when it comes to anime recap films it's nothing the film makers can help but since it's in the film i have to point it out.

Since this film is the last entry of Attack On Titan before we go through the long wait for season 2 there is a new ending added on that does lead into the new season i won't spoil it here but if your a die hard fan of the franchise you will like it. The one thing i discovered while watching this film is how brutal the action scenes are you see a lot of blood and they don't even try to hide it either.

Overall if your a fan of the show and you want a quick recap of the first series then i recommend you watch these films however if you have not seen the first series but are interested in seeing what it's all about then i say watch it but there are pacing issues so as a non fan i give this film a 7.5 out of 10

Red Sonja: Queen of Plagues Review

Hello there comic fans i'm going to do something i havn't done before and depending on how many i can find and how well this goes down there will be more of i'm going to review the motion comic Red Sonja: Queen of Plagues.

Now this is my first time watching a motion comic and i admit i never saw the original Queen Of Plagues Arc so i have no idea if this is faithful or not but i can tell you that the film does a good job of telling it's story which is Red Sonja the She-Devil with a Sword, intends to pay back a blood debt owed to the one man who has gained her respect even if it means leading a doomed army to their certain deaths! Who is Dark Annisia, and how has this fearsome warrior accomplished what neither god nor demon has been able to do: force Sonja to her knees in surrender? An epic tale of blood, lust, and vengeance, Queen of the Plagues takes Red Sonja from the depths of her own grave to the heights of battlefield glory.

The cast do a great job with there roles i really liked Misty Lee as Red Sonja she really adds emotion to the character and her yelling her name in a fit of rage is truly something to behold. Sadly tho most of the dialog isn't that good and it could have done with a quick rewrite just to make sure it didn't sound so clunky which is a shame because the writer Gail Simone usually gives us good dialog.

The artwork does look really good and is really stunning to look at the artwork looks like it was ripped straight out of the books which was something i really liked and i know they didn't really have to do this but i loved that they animated things like people's hair or even the hair on the horse it was a small touch but it's something i'm glad that they did.

The animation in the film/motion comic looked really good like i just said they animated not only people's hair but also hair in the horses but they also animated transitions between what i think were the panel pages which was a great way to get from one panel to the other. The lip movements also synced up really well with the actors performance.

The action scenes looked really good and were really freaking brutal i had an idea going into this of how brutal it would be but even i was shocked at how much blood and violence they some how managed to get away with. I'm glad that in most of the action scenes Red Sonja has to use her wits to kill her opponent because she does have a huge sword so it would have been very freaking easy just to have swing the word a few times and end the battle there.

Overall if you want to watch something with a strong female lead who takes no bs from anybody then i suggest you watch this i give Red Sonja: Queen Of Plagues a solid 7 out of 10 because it does have some pacing issues that i can't ignore.

Mr. Pickles A Show You Might Not Know About

Now then TV fans i'm going to tell you all about a TV show you might not know about in adult swim called Mr. Pickles

Mr. Pickles is a show on adult swim about a dog who on the outside seems normal but when your not watching him he worships satan , kills people who look at him wrong , humps his victims and sometimes he takes them back to his lair which is also his cenal. So as you can see this show is really freaking messed up but it is really creative.

This show while being really freaking messed up in the head does have some pretty good voice acting coming from the leads which are Kaitlyn Robrock , Jay Johnston , Brooke Shields and Frank Collison who all play members of the Goodman family who adopt Mr. Pickles as there pet dog and most of them are unaware of what he gets up to which does lead to some funny moments and the mother is also unaware that he is hitting on her the only person who truly knows what he's up to is the grandpa but the family just laugh it of everytime he tries to bring it up.

The show does have a pretty strange animation style even tho the show started in 2014 it looks like it could have been made in the early 00's it really hard to describe the animation style in this show to anyone who hasn't scene it but the best way i can think of is it's like a cut scene in an early 00's PC game.

The episodes are all self contained so you don't have to watch episode 1 of season 1 to get what's going on in season 2 episode 1 but some prior knowledge would help the storylines for the show range from being messed up to just plain strange one of the episodes is dedicated to a space dolphin who is also a private detective i kid you know. Now since this is on adult swim you do get to see alot and i mean a lot of gruesome images which is why i'm finding it hard to pick what images i can use since you never know who will read this but you'll have to take my word for it.

There is a reason why this show has been picked up for a third season and that's because the show is it hit with the adult swim audience and it's not hard to see why here is a show that pulls no punches it doesn't hold back and you as an audience member can have a good time with it.

Harry Potter And The Cursed Child Review With HUGE Spoilers

Hey there Harry Potter fans i like the rest of the world have the newest HP adventure in my collection and i'm going to review it right here right now so get ready because there will be alot of spoilers.

Now before i begin i will only be reviewing the book and not the stage play so here we go. The story for the book picks up literally when the final book ends and it mainly focuses on Harry , Ginny , Hermione , Ron , Draco and the sons of Harry and Draco and i have to admit the book does all of the characters justice and does a great job of making Albus a flawed character and the same goes for Harry. The story as well is really easy to follow and has plenty of twists and turns that keep you hooked from start to the draw dropping finish.

The writer Jack Thorne does a great job of not only telling us what the characters have been up to in the years since the seventh book and this one and also telling a wonderfully crafted story the characters are almost exactly as you remember them and while there are times when you will hate Harry for what he says and does in the book i got the feeling that's because the story is being told from the point of view of Albus so your seeing Harry as Albus see's him just like we see Ginny as this wonderful caring mother.

The characters have grown up alot in the 19 years between storys we see that Harry as a job in Magical Law Enforcement , Hermione is now the Minister Of Magic , Ron works at his brothers Joke shop but is mostly a stay at home dad and Ginny writes for Daily Prophet doing all the sports articles and Draco is still Draco in that he's a bit of bully to the characters but even he grows as a person by the time the book is finished to the point were he and Harry are friends.

Hermione herself takes on a more assertive role this time often telling Harry and Ron when there in the wrong and is one of the people who works out why Delphi is going back in time. There are alot of twists and turns in this story and that's good because it keeps you guessing which way the story is going to go at first you think it's going one way and then something will happen and it goes another way.

Now onto the biggest surprise the reveal that the Dark Lord himself has a kid and that you the reader have until that point hopefully have been cheering her on because we find out the Delphi is Voldermorts daughter and it's done in a way that was really well handled i wont give away two much about the scene but it is worth reading just to see how they do it and you also find out who her mother is and it is ....................................Bellatrix Lestrange it turns out that some point during The Deathly Hallows the dark lord felt a little randy and got it on with Bellatrix.

The third act is really thrilling it's also very well written and very action packed again not much will be spoiled but it does involve the date October 31st 1981 and Godric's Hollow. I actually liked how they portrayed Ron in the book he was always the goof ball of the trio and since this film is so dark and it does get quite heavy at times to me it makes sense that they would make him the comic relief and we do get to see alot of your favorite characters come back and some are not in the way you'd think either and others are exactly how you think they would come back.

Overall if this is the end of Harry's story then i'm glad it's ended here but i don't want it to be the end of Albus's and Scorpius's story tho i reckon they have a few more adventures left in them so overall i would give this book a solid 8 out of 10 because while it is really good it does also have it's problems.
