My Own Personal Top 5 WORST And Top 5 BEST Films Of 2022

Film fans it's that time of the year of the again where I talk about what where my own personal top 5 worst and top 5 best films of the year. The bog standard rules apply here which are the films have to have a UK release date of 2022 and I have to have seen them since I can't count them if I haven't seen them and if your own personal favorite or least favorite film didn't make either just assume that it's in at number 6.

WORST

5) Black Adam

This is something that I thought long and hard about but i only put this film here because of how underwhelming the film is. Since this film had the potential to be one of the coolest DCEU films out there and yet for one reason or another it just failed to deliver the performances are fine but the film fails on every other aspect the film even failing to do justice to it's titular character turning him from a cool as heck bad guy to anti-hero for literally no reason at all.

Of course the reason James Gunn drama really doesn't help things either since this now means that this film s officially the last film to star a certain actor as a certain caped character. However given that this character only appears in one scene it was just hype for the sake of hype and while the film being this low down on the worst list is indeed a good thing since it means that it can be improved upon very easily it shouldn't have been on the worst lost at all just simply due to who is involved with making the film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

4) Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022

The first of a few horror films to be featured in this post and while this year has been a shockingly good year for the genre as a whole. The same thing cannot be said for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise with this new legacy sequel being a direct sequel to the original that aims to capture the magic of Halloween 2018 however what made Halloween 2018 work is the fact that it managed to get original stars from the original film back where as this film simply cannot do that.

Not really helping things is the fact the character of Sally Hardesty in this film acts more like a glorified cameo. Instead of an actual character and when she is on screen she's acting so unlike Sally that it's hard to buy that these two characters are one in the same and when you add in the fact that this films main characters the people that we are supposed to root for are just unlikable as all heck it leaves with you with a film where the only likable character is the villain of the film and regardless of if your watching a horror film or not you should never ever want to be cheering for the villain as you should always want to be cheering for the heroes of the film.

3) Morbius

Memes and jokes aside this film like Black Adam is a waste of a really cool idea and a really cool character. However unlike Black Adam the cast of Morbius seem to be self a where enough to know that what they've made is a really bad with star Jared Leto even getting in the fun post release heck the only company who wasn't a where that this was a bad film was Sony Pictures who decided to re-release the film when the memes and jokes about this film where at it's peak.

Being fully a where that the film your making is a bad film isn't a bad move since it can show that your willing to have some fun with the movie going audience. However it still doesn't hide from the fact that the film that you've made is a bad film since this films villain is really badly written , the acting is OK at best and the less about the after credits scene and the writing of this film the better since this film fails on all of those things and then some.

2) Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore

The only reason as to why this film isn't at the number one spot on this is the fact that there shockingly is a film that's worse then this one. Since this film is just straight up bad at least with Morbius the film is so bad that it's almost good this film isn't even that since the so called secret of Dumbledore is one that's been known for quite literally decades at this point and even then Dumbledore's secret doesn't play apart in the final film it's literally just there for the sake of having a cool sounding title and that's really it.

Of course not really helping things for this film was the whole Jonny Depp debacle which i'm not going to discuss here. However I will sat that actor Mads Mikkelsen does do a good job as this films leading villain Gellert Grindelwald but with that said all of the actors are let down by a script that feels like it never made it past the first draft stage I could forgive the script for the film being bad because it's was J.K. Rowling's first time writing a screenplay but we are now three films into this new series and she's shown no signs of improving the script and when the script just isn't that good it doesn't matter how good the acting or the special effects are because the film has failed at being good at even the most basic of levels and i'm a Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling fan.

1) The Munsters 2022

I will admit that picking the number one for both the worst and best films of the year was incredibly tough this year. However what makes this film worse then Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore is the fact that this films characters aren't The Munsters at all they are only those characters in name only with the characters acting so far out of character that you could call them quite literally anything else and it work.

Not really helping this film at all is the fact that this film looks incredibly cheap which really shouldn't have been the case at all. Since this film cost a good few million to make and we don't see any of that budget on screen and when you add in the fact that the acting is just flat out bad and the fact that the film just ends with no resolution to what little story it has it's now obvious as to why this film is my top pick for the worst film of the year.

BEST

5) Chip 'N Dale: Rescue Rangers

We re now finally out of the worst films of the year and well what better to start of this half of the post then the film that not alot of people had hope for. Since when you think of a live action adaptation of a cartoon you don't usually think of a good movie and yet this one movie blew away people expectations by not only being a good movie but also in doing something new and different and giving us something that we didn't know that we wanted.

What really made this film standout to not only me but alot of people wasn't the references altho that play a huge part of it but the fact that the film was very well written. With this film having a good script that is well paced out an jokes that are not only smart but work on different levels with kids getting certain jokes and adults getting certain jokes as well and heck this one film makes me want to see what other Disney Afternoon shows could get this kind of treatment since it would be pretty funny to see a TailSpin movie done in the style of this film.

4) Bodies Bodies Bodies

To say that this film was great for not only horror films but also for A24 would be like saying Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was bad. However I feel like there's one film that everybody overlooks or just straight up doesn't talk about when they mention A24 or the good horror movies that came out this year and that's a shame because this film is such a well written satire on today's culture which is ready to "cancel" anybody over anything and that was something that I really did love about this film.

This film really did catch me of guard with how good it was just because the poster and the original synopsis really did make this movie sound terrible. Yet when I watched the movie I was not only on board with it's likable main character but I was also laughing alot at it's satire and it's jokes because they were very well written jokes and the satire was very well written and for a horror film the kills were not only good but when you take into account this films kind of twist ending the kills in this film come of as being kind of funny as well which was something that I wasn't expecting to be the case at all and yet it works out really well for this film.

3) Wendell & Wild

It's always going to be a good time when director Henry Selick makes a new movie and the same thing is true for this film, Which while this film isn't as good as say Coraline or even The Nightmare Before Christmas for example it's a good film that is really well animated while I do wish that the film was a little bit scarier especially given the fact that this film was released just before Halloween and is a child friendly horror film I really do think that this should have been alot more scarier then what it actually was.

I will very much admit that out of the three Netflix animated films that I saw this year Wendell & Wild is the worse of the two of three you'll understand why when you see what one of the number pucks is. That's not to say that this is a bad film tho because it's not since this is very thoroughly entertaining film that tells some good jokes whilst being a pretty grown film that deals with alot of grown themes and it handles those themes in a way that makes it feel like that there not dumbing those themes down for it's young target audience.

2) Avatar: The Way Of Water

This film is the most recent film to be featured on this post and while this film is indeed a good film it's also that has alot of problems. Those problems don't really stop this film from being one of the best films of this year since this film is still a very well made film with a good sometimes even great script and CGI effects that are just a treat to look at and that I fully expect Corridor Crew to be doing a full CGI Artists React episode on at sometime in 2023.

For me this films biggest issue is the fact that it spends alot of time setting up the over sequels instead of being it's own thing. Which in this case doesn't work well enough to this films advantage since it makes this film feel like a three hour trailer for Avatar 3 which is a shame because when this film does something that's genuinely great it is really good and this film for the most part is also a rather entertaining film as well it's just ashame that there FIVE films that beat it to my number one spot this year.

1) X , Pearl , Scream 2022 ,  Everything Everywhere All At Once And Netflix's Pinocchio

I'm not kidding when I say that choosing just one film to be my pick for my best film of 2022 because truth be told any of the films that I mentioned on this best of list could have quite easily have taken that spot. With all five films being incredibly beautiful in there own unique way and all five of these films deserve all of the love and attention that they got upon release because that's just how good all five of these films where for me personally.

Really helping things along is the fact that all five of these films put alot of care into there characters with all of there characters not only being very well written but also being very likable. Yes even the villains in these films come across as being likable characters with motives that whilst they don't make want to root for them you do oddly enough want to see them succeed and this makes them seem all the more complicated and complex and since a hero is only as good ad there villain that makes the heroes of all of these films come across as being well written and likable as well since they have a clear goal to archive as for why The Batman wasn't included on this list aside from the fact that I just straight up forgot about that movie that would have been a bit of cliche at this point but yes even that film just like all five of these number one films is a really great film and all of the films on this best of list are all really worth watching as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very post well then boys an girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very post from the official DC Extended Universe fandom wiki page , the official The Texas Chainsaw Massacre fandom wiki page , the official Sony's Spider-Man fandom wiki page , the official Harry Potter fandom wiki page , the official Disney fandom wiki page , the official Avatar fandom wiki page , the official Scream fandom wiki page , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from these very / particular / exact film being all of the official fandom wiki pages since alot of the images that are from these very films and that are currently still indeed up on all of the official fandom wiki pages are all really fairly freaking high in quality and as well as all of them being really fairly freaking high in definition Happy New Year everybody.

Encanto At The Hollywood Bowl Film Review

Encanto was one of the films that took Disney fans by surprise within the last few years with both it's songs and characters charming both audiences and die hard Disney fans alike. Well it seems someone one at Disney took notice and so then we got something that has quite literally never happened with any other Disney animated musical film before now and so then join me as I review the film that is something quite ne for the house of mouse with the film in question being called simply just "Encanto At The Hollywood Bowl" enjoy.

This film is quite literally a recorded version of a show that I think has now finished production featuring the original cast. I really do like the idea behind this show since it really does bring the songs and the music of Encanto to live in a way that we haven't seen before now and the fact that the got the original cast back for these shows only goes to help to make this film feel alot more special that what it already is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

As I just mentioned the original cast from the film are all back for this live performance which means that get to see Stephanie Beatriz , Adassa , Carolina Gaitán , Jessica Darrow , Diane Guerrero , Mauro Castillo , Angie Cepada , Olga Merediz. Sadly tho there are some missing cast members like for example we don't get Wilmer Valderrama nor do we get John Leguizamo back either while I can fully understand why Wilmer Valderrama since his character doesn't sing in the film it's odd that John Leguizamo doesn't come back since his character does have a singing part at the end or near the end of the movie.

What I really did like about this film is the fact that all of the people who are starring in this film and are reprising their roles from the original film just so easily slip back into their roles. Yes I know that there now technically reprising their roles but since they are singing the parts that there characters sing in the original film they are technically reprising their roles and they do it so effortlessly with all of the actors just simply becoming their characters it's almost as if they finished playing their characters just yesterday and then they went to do this concert because that's effortlessly they all just slip back into playing their respective characters.

The set for this concert is the Madrigal family home which is bought to life wonderfully via LED screens. I really did like the set used for this show however at the same time I would have liked it if they didn't use LED screens since it makes the set seem across as being rather flat and uninteresting which is a shame because having the main house serve as the set for this show does make alot of sense to me.

What was rather interesting is that actress Stephanie Beatriz was actually ill while recording this concert. Which doesn't really show through in alot of the songs but it does show itself during the ending of the "The Family Madrigal" song which just goes to prove that that song is cursed because when she was first recording the song she was pregnant and while she still does perform the song really well it's still a shame that she can't hit the same notes just due to her voice just simply not being up to the task at the time.

For some reason the films songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda opens this show and he really doesn't need to be there at all since apart from appearing in a video package midway through the actual show itself he does quite literally nothing during the entire show. Heck he doesn't even appear in the background during any of the songs he was purely there just so that Disney could put his name on the concerts poster and that's really it which is shame because they could have had introduce each song and give us a detailed look at how each song was created but they don't do that at all.

What I wasn't expecting for this show to involve the audience in one of the songs which was something that I really did like. As it was something that was rather creative and it's something that I wished had happened more in this show since alot of this shows songs could have used from involving the audience section of the The Hollywood Bowl which would have made alot of the songs more duller performances suddenly come alive and feel alot more magical which for an Encanto product is a very important thing indeed.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty five minuets an thirty eight seconds. Which does make this show feel alot more on the shorter but given that this show is just the actors performing the songs from the film it's kind of understandable and I would have liked it if the show was a bit longer even if it was just the cast performing the demo versions of the songs or performed songs from other Disney films just something would have been better to get this show to get to feature length and make this show feel all the more special and rather unique.

So now then since this is a concert that means that I have to talk about the actual songs that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual songs that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film where really good. With all of the films songs being performed really well with my person favorite being "The Family Madrigal" since it's a fun way to reintroduce the cast of the film an the fact that they reprise the song at the end of the film was really fun as well and yes all of the cast sing all of the sing really well as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a rather fun film or special that did something unexpected and that's remind as to why the film itself was so good and I hope that Disney does more concert films like this in the future since this one was so good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Disney fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very post being the wonderful the official Disney fandom wiki page since all of the images that are currently up and and featured / presented to us on the official Disney fandom wiki page are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.

The Wizards Return: Alex Vs. Alex Film Review

Disney is a company that's not really known for doing reunion movies and so when it was announced that one of their most popular shows was getting a reunion movie alot of people myself included where rightfully hyped up. Well after finally watching this reunion movie for the first time in almost ten years I thought that now was the right tie to review this movie and so then join me as I review the movie that serves as the series finale for one of Disney Channels most popular TV shows with the film in question being called simply just "The Wizards Return: Alex Vs. Alex" enjoy.

The plot of this movie is Wizard Alex Russo casts a spell to remove all of her negative parts but when her evil self escapes and helps in a plan to take over the world Alex has to save the world and her family before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty pretty good but at the same time it just felt like a rip off of several plots from the show itself and nothing really more then that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is one of this film executive producers Selena Gomez as Alex Russo / Evil Alex and Jake T. Austin as Max Russo. Aldo starring in this film is Jennifer Stone as Harper Finkle , Gregg Sulkin as Mason Greybeck , Beau Mirchoff as Dominic , Maria Canals Barrera as Theresa Russo , David DeLuise as Jerry Russo , Natalia Noculich as Carmela , Antonella Lentini as Francesca and Jack Donner as Papa Fabrizio.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With all of this films cast doing there best to make this films script work for them the issue that I have is the fact that this films script gives none of the characters returning or new nothing to work with interms of their characters personalities and so the actors can't really turn in anything more then an OK performance because the script just won't allow for it.

Try as I might I really can't find who did the GI for this film which is shame because I really did like this films CGI. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about thew actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good and was alot better then the CGI that we got in the show and what really helped to sell the CCGI for me personally was the camera angles all of which feel really cinematic and really help to sell the CGI in this film.

When most shows do a reunion movie it's usually been at least a decade if not more since the last episode. This show however decided to wait a little over a year before releasing this reunion movie which was a huge mistake since there isn't enough time for nostalgia for the show to form since the final episode had only just finished airing and so I really do feel that it would have been better if the makers behind this reunion film waited at the very least five years to make this film since then there can be some nostalgia starting to form for the show.

There is a reason as to why we only see the main living room set in this movie and that's the fact that Jessie had since taken over the sound stage where Wizards Of Waverly Place was filmed. With every set from Wizards being destroyed and so they only had enough budget to really rebuild the main living set which is why we get to see it alot in this film even when they do a transition they transition back to the same set which really does make this film feel alot more smaller and a little bit more claustrophobic when compared to even the show itself.

As with pretty much all of the specials that this TV series produced this one has quite alot of action in it. So much so that you really could make the case for this film being an action comedy and I have to admit that the action wasn't all that bad except you can quite clearly tell when they were using body doubles since they go to great lengths to cover up one characters face which really did take me out of the special since all it was remind me that I was watching a film and that is something that shouldn't be the case at all.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly fifty eight minuets and forty seconds. Which was oddly enough a bit on the short side for a story like this one I say since there quite clearly isn't alot of story there since it just boils down to the typical plot that these typical Wizards specials have but at the same time tho given the reunion aspect of this film you also could have stretched this movie even by ten or so minuets just so that we the audience could catch up with the characters from the TV show and see where those characters are now with their lives and see what those returning characters are now up to.

So now then since this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. I'm not going to lie and say that the show had great comedy because for the most part that's not true but even when the show wasn't all that funny it was still telling better jokes then the ones that we got in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while i'm glad to have finally reviewed something from this truly iconic Disney Channel franchise I just wish that I had chosen to review Wizards Of Waverly Place The Movie instead of this one since from what I can remember that's a better movie then this one is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Disney fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very review being the wonderful Google Images since all of the images that are currently up and and featured / presented to us on Google Images are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition and a special thanks to Youtuber Keyan Carlile who did a whopping eight hour plus retrospective on this entire show including both of the movies which inspired me to finally check out and review this movie and so if you all have a spare eight and half hours I highly recommend that you check out his two part video retrospective on the entire Wizards Of Waverly Place Tv series and the films as well since both videos are that good.

The Incredible Hulk 1996 TV Series "Doomed" Review

Marvel fans believe it or not but it's been a whopping two years since I last spoke about an episode of this show. Well i've chosen an episode that would been more relevant to do back in August of this year but I just couldn't be bothered to do it then and well with the character of She-Hulk more popular now then it's ever really been I thought that now was the absolute right time to review the episode that introduced the character to alot of nineties kids and so then join me as I review the episode that introduces us to a legendary comic book character with the episode in question being called simply just "Doomed" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is when The Hulk is in Washington DC he finds himself the target of Doctor Doom and it's up to his cousin Jennifer Walters to help him out before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good with this episodes not only doing a good job of making Doctor Doom seem like a genuine threat but at also introducing us to Jennifer Walters and being a genuinely entertaining plotline as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Neal McDonough as Bruce Banner , Lou Ferrigno as The Hulk and Lisa Zane as Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk. Also starring in this episode is John Vernon as General Ross , Simon Templeman as Doctor Doom , Castlevania star Matt Frewer as The Leader and voice acting legend , Star Wars legend and Batman: The Animated Series legend the one and only Mark Hamill as Yuri Topolov / Gargoyle.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. Which really shouldn't be all that surprising given who is starring in this episode and it really does help that all of this films cast members are a bunch of some really talented actors and actress as well.

Doing the animation for this episode is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Saerom Animation. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good with all of the characters having some nice movements to them and there was no animation errors that I could see and while there are other shows from around this time period that had much better animation this episodes animation was also a pleasure to look at as well.

As I said at the start of this review this episodes features the debut of Jennifer Walters and while her origin in this episode is changed. This episode does remove alot of the struggle and heartache that Bruce goes through since in the comic book Bruce knows that he gave Jennifer even a small dose of his blood then she would ultimately get her very own Hulk powers and in this episode there's no internal struggle he just does it which was something that I really didn't like since Bruce as a character should always be weary of giving someone else there very own Hulk powers but at least this version of the origin was alot better then the one that we got in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.

This version of Jennifer Walters does seem like a very well written character I say that because i've not seen any of her episodes from this show in quite literally decades. However just based of this one episode she does show alot of promise as a character since she is a character who does come across as being a bit of a hot head and who has self esteem issues and those are things that she does have to overcome and that really does make her seem like a very well written character and as such I can see why she became a very popular characters thanks to her appearing in this show so much so that the show changed it's name for it's second season to The Incredible Hulk And She-Hulk.

I really did like how this episode portrayed Doctor Doom since in this episode he's portrayed as someone who is the smartest person in any room he's in. With the character even being very well spoken all of which oddly make the character all the more terrifying since this man really does know how to get people to do what he wants even to the point where he manages to convince The Hulk to go on a rampage just because of the fact that The Hulk doesn't want him to hurt or even kill his cousin because that's just how scary Doctor Doom is in this episode as well as being a very good example of just how creepy and scary that this kind of character could be when there done really well like in this episode for example.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty one minuets and forty nine seconds. Which was a tad bit on the short side for my liking simply because of the fact that you could have gotten a lot longer running time out of this story which would have allowed you to delve into the characters a bit more which would have helped thew episode a bit more and it would have made the threat of this episode seem alot more epic and bigger in scale but as it is the episode just seems a bit rushed.

So now then since this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With this episode having some truly good action set pieces all of which where really exciting and all of which are really well animated in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a really fun episode and out of the three episodes of this show that i've seen this one is quite easily the best one since this episode gives you everything that you'd expect to see in a Hulk story in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episodereally does erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Hulk fandom wiki page , the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the actual images that are actually from this actual freaking episode being the official Hulk fandom wiki page this is simply because the official Hulk fandom wiki page actually has a wide variety of images from this actual freaking episode all of which are currently featured / up and on the official Hulk fandom wiki page right now / as we speak and plus all of the images that are currently featured / up and on the official Hulk fandom wiki page are all really fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in freaking definition.

Doctor Who: The Edge Of Destruction Review

Doctor Who fans when the series was first starting out it was only commissioned to last nothing more then thirteen episodes. Well with the first two serials lasting four and seven episodes and with no word of the series being picked up for more episodes the Doctor Who team still had to produce two episodes to wrap things up and so then join me as I review the episode that is infact the shortest classic Doctor Who serial ever made with the serial in question being called simply just "The Edge Of Destruction" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is when the TARDIS crew find themselves knocked out they have to find out what is wrong with the TARDIS before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good which was truly shocking given just how many characters this episode has and yet it's plot is still very well told and is at times quite scary as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is William Hartnell as The Doctor , William Russell as Ian Chesterton , Jacqueline Hill as Barbara Wright and Carole Ann Ford as Susan Foreman. That's right this episode only stars the four main leads of the show which is I believe something that hasn't happened since this episode and for the live of me I can't see why since it's a fast a cheap way to produce an episode of the show and to this episodes credit it really does make the absolutely most out of all of four of this shows main cast of characters.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With all four actors really working well of off each other and turning in some of the best performances from this shows very early years.

Unlike the rets of the show this show is set entirely within the confides of the TARDIS which was something that I actually liked. Sine we got to see more of this ship since at his point in time we had only seen one room and yet here we got to see alot more then that which makes the ship feel alot bigger then what we've previously seen which for a ship that's meant to be bigger on the inside is always going to be a very good thing indeed.

This episode gets dark pretty quick with Susan straight up trying to stab Ian and Ian trying to strangle The Doctor. Heck the only character that doesn't try to kill one of the other characters is Barbera who here acts like the voice of reason which is great since it did add some dimension to her character and it did give her alot to do in what could have been a very boring episode and the fact that it gets dark in places just goes to show you just how complex these characters can be and how great these characters can be when there written really well.

Since this episode is very early on in the shows run that also makes this episode the shows first ever cheap episode. Since like I said this show only has one major set and only features the four main leads and to this episode credit you can't really tell that this is a cheaply made episode at all since the episode itself is so good that you just don't notice just how cheap this episode is and that is something that just goes to show you just how good this show can be hen the show is working within it's very own limitations.

Even tho this episode is a really solid it's an episode that does get pretty repetitive at times and that is something that does effect this episode. Since there's only so many times that you can see the characters show distrust against each other before it starts to get boring and repetitive however this episode does have a pretty good speech from William Hartnell which just goes to show that the very idea of giving The Doctor some epic speech has been in the show since it's very beginning and it helps that the speech is also really well written by story editor and this episodes writer David Whitaker and delivered by William Hartnell.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly roughly forty five minuets. With this episode only being two episodes long which really does suit this episode since this episode really doesn't have enough story to last anything longer then two episodes and as such this episode really does last the perfect amount of time with no scene lasting any longer then what it really needs to and as such every single scene is all about pushing the plot forward with there being no filler scenes at all whatsoever.

So now then since this is a drama that means that I have to talk about the actual drama that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual drama that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty good. With the best bit of drama being between Barbera and The Doctor with Barbera blowing up about The Doctor about the way that he's been treating her and Ian in a fantastic scene that is really the best scene in the entire episode in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall for an episode that was meant to be the final episode of the show should the show have not been picked up for more episodes this episode doesn't really feel like a finale but it is still a really good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode really does erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Amazon . Co . Uk , the official Doctor Who fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website that I personally preferred to use to get the images that I personally used in this very review being the wonderful Google Images since all of the images that are currently up and and featured / presented to us on Google Images are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.

Doctor Who: Twice Upon A Time Review

Doctor Who fans it seems that I have for liking for reviewing regeneration episodes which trust me will stop come the new year. However I chose to review this episode in particular as it not only marks the departure of the actor playing the Doctor but also it's then current show runner and a long time composer and so then join me as I review the episode that really does feel like the end of an era for this show with the episode in question being called simply just "Twice Upon A Time" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is The Twelve Doctor finds himself sucked into a game of cat and mouse and it's one that involves a World War 1 soldier and two rather unlikely people. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad but that's also the issue as this episodes plot isn't that good either with the episode itself being rather aimless and pointless in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Peter Capaldi as The Doctor , David Bradley as The Doctor and Pearl Mackie as Bill Potts. Also starring in this episode is Mark Gatiss as The Captain , Jenna Coleman as Clara , Matt Lucas as Nardole , Nikki Amuka-Bird as Helen Clay , Toby Whithouse as The German Soldier , Lily Travers as Polly , Jared Garfield as Ben Jackson and Nicholas Briggs as The Voice Of The Daleks.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. With all of the actors doing there absolutely best to make this episodes script work well enough for them but the issue is that this episodes script gives the cast nothing to work with and so they can only do an OK job acting wise.

Doing the CGI for this episode is Milk , BBC Wales VFX and the legends and the greats that are currently over at Real SFX. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty pretty bad with the robot avatars looking like they would be at home in a late Playstation 2 game cut scene because that's just how bad this episodes CGI well and truly was.

This is of course the final episode to feature Peter Capaldi in the role of The Doctor and to be fair this episode does do a good job of making his particular regeneration seem epic. Which in a way it is since this version of The Doctor is really struggling to come to terms with the fact that he's dying and when you add in the fact that character has seen alot of his friends either choose to leave him willingly or die it really does make sense that this version of the character would just say enough and openly choose not to regenerate since it would mean his actual death and he'd get to be with all of the people that he holds near and dear to him again.

I have to admit that like alot of die hard Doctor Who fans I really did hate how thus episode treated The First Doctor. Since instead of being written like the world weary hero that he was at the point the his regeneration took place here he's instead written as somebody who will say the wrong thing just to offended Bill which wasn't and isn't in that version of The characters nature at all and to disrespect him in this way just goes to show that writer Steven Moffat really wasn't a fan of that particular version of the character at all.

For some reason just like with The Time Of The Doctor this episode has a scene where The Doctor says goodbye to all of his main companions. Which just didn't work for me in this episode since it didn't really earned and if anything it felt like that it was ripping of a much better scene which shouldn't be the case since a scene like this one should only be included if it works with the story which in this case it just didn't and while you very well could also make that case for the same scene in The Time Of The Doctor that scene felt earned because that entire episode was wrapping up several plot lines from every single Matt Smith series and having him in a way finally say goodbye to Amy was one of them and that just isn't the case with this episode.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly fifty none minuets and forty six seconds. Which was a bit of a long running time for this episode to last since there's not really much there interms of plot that really requires that long of a running heck you could have had this episode come in at the bogstanderd forty five minuets running time and you'd have to lose absolutely nothing that's actually vital to the plot of the episode.

So now then since this is an action filled episode that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. Which is very in keeping with this episode since we only get one action which while it is impressive you can tell that stunt doubles for both David Bradley and Peter Capaldi were used and that really did take me out of the action which was a shame because what I was seeing was OK at best in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a decent enough regeneration episode that did an OK job of doing what it set out to do the problem this episode is so average that I have no idea what it was that it was even trying to do in the first place and that's not a good thing at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this very episode erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out 10 from me.
