How I Think The Animated Feature List For The OSCARS Should Have Looked

I've considered making this post for the best part of the a few days now but i was honestly far to angry to do it when the nominations were released on Thursday so i've waited until my anger has gone down and here is how I feel the Animated Feature list should have looked please note if your seeing this on Cartoon Amino there will be anime films and if your seeing this on Anime Amino there's western animated films.

Coco

I think we can all agree that this film deserves to be nominated heck some might even say it deserves to win and out the actual nominations this one is most likely to win but either way this is the best film they could have gone with.

Before I continue i want you all to know that since I havn't seen either Loving Vincent or The Breadwinner or Mary And the Witches Flower i won't be making comments on any of those films so for the sake of this article you can fill them in below.

The Lego Batman Movie

This was one of the biggest casualties of this years nominations and like many of you I cannot think of a reason as to why this film wasn't nominated I know that the academy looks down on superhero films but then again this isn't just a superhero film it's a film about family and the importance of family so this was right up there street.

A Silent Voice

I'm a huge anime fan and I loved this film not because it's anime but because of the story it told but i guess the academy doesn't want stories that make you think or that have great animation and voice acting and this is one of three films that actually had me crying the other two were Coco and the next film i'm going to mention.

In This Corner Of The World

This is the other film that made me cry and it's a damn shame that both this film and A Silent Voice got snubbed for films that aren't OSCAR worthy. This film has great characters , a heartwarming yet tragic story and some great voice acting in all honesty there was nothing at all stopping The Academy from nominating this film at all.

My Top 5 Best Animated Films of 2017

Well then guys and girls of the animation world since i just put out my worst of 2017 animated films list it's now time to move on to bigger and better things so here is my top 5 best animated films of 2017 and like before it has to have been released in 2017 and i have to have seen it.

Honorable Mentions

Batman Vs. Two-Face

I really couldn't find a place for this film on this list which is a shame because it is a really good film and it's the last time the late Adam West played Batman but in my eyes it's not as good as Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.

Batman And Harley Quinn

In my eyes this wasn't a bad film it had alot of great moments with Harley Quinn but it felt like it was trying to hard to be the 60's Batman TV show instead of being it's own unique thing.

5) The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania!

In all honesty on paper this film should have failed but it's actually a pretty decent film with some fairly solid animation and voice acting plus it's better then the actual Jetsons movie we got from the 90's.

4) Cars 3

When Cars 3 was announced many people myself included most likely thought that it would be as bad as the second one but when that first teaser dropped we all knew we were in for something different and my god does film pull of the emotional story.

3) My Little Pony: The Movie

Yes i liked My Little Pony: The Movie so what it's well animated , well acted and i'll admit that the writing can be a bit of at times but when it's on it's really on and that's really all i can think of to say about this movie since everything i could have said i did actually say in my review of the film.

2) The Lego Batman Movie

Unlike The Lego Ninjago Movie this movie was actually funny and it put a different spin on Batman that i don't think has been seen and when you add in the fact that this movie is filled to the brim of imagination and creativity then i think it's clear why this film made the list so The Lego Batman Movie YOU JUST MADE THE LIST!!!!!!.

1) Coco

Let's be honest here we all knew this film was going to be number 1 but in my defense it truly is a great film it has some of the best animation i've seen all year mixed in with not only some of the best writing and acting but also the best songs and who here didn't cry at the end that's how good this film is and since this film doesn't come out in the UK (where i'm from and currently live) i could include it on next years list as well.
