Avengers Assemble Animated Series "The Avengers Protocol Parts 1 And 2" Review

Marvel fans since I had a good time taking a look at a few episodes of the Guardians Of The Galaxy animated series about a few days ago. I thought that I might like to spend the next few days talking about the of the recent Disney Marvel animated shows starting with a pretty badly named show given that it also shows the name of the first Avengers movie and so join me as I review the first two episodes of "Avengers Assemble" with the first two episode both being called "The Avengers Protocol" and so enjoy the review.

The plot of these first two episodes is that Red Skull while fighting Captain America has both himself and Captain America teleported somewhere else in the world and so it's up to Iron Man to get a disbanded Avengers back together and bring in some fresh blood to help save Captain America and stop the villain before he destroys New York. Sorry my summery was a little long but that was the best that I could do as for my opinions on the story first of i'm glad that this was a two part premier because you really couldn't fit all of what happens in these episodes into one single episode and secondly the story told was honestly epic enough that it deserved to be two parts.

Starring in these episodes are Adrian Pasdar as Tony Stark / Iron Man and Roger Craig Smith as Steve Rogers / Captain America. Also starring in these episodes are Travis Willingham as Thor , Fred Tatasciore as Bruce Banner / Hulk , Troy Baker as Cling Burton / Hawkeye , Laura Bailey as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow , Bumper Robinson as Sam Wilson / Falcon , Liam O'Brien as Red Skull , Charlie Adler as M.O.D.O.K. and David Kaye as J.A.R.V.I.S.

Acting wise I felt that the actors in these episodes did a really good job which given that a few of them are voice acting legends isn't really a surprise nor is it a surprise given that Fred Tatasciore has voiced Hulk several times in the past and so he knows what kind of performance would suit this character. As for the other actors they do a really good job playing these characters and making the characters there own.

Doing the animation for these two episodes and the rest of the series is Sunmin Image Pictures Co. don't worry if you've not heard of them i've not heard of them either. Now I know that this might make some of you angry but I actually like the animation in these episodes to me the animation at least was honestly really good and was alot better then it really had any right to be which for me is always a huge plus.

I'm not going to lie and say that this the best Marvel animated product every made simply because I feel that that has yet to be made. However in terms of the Disney produced Marvel animated shows the animation here is alot better then the animation in alot of Disney shows hell it's alot better then the animation seen in a lot of the mid 2000's Disney animated movies it's that good but then again saying the animation is alot better then the one's seen in any mid 2000's animated movies isn't really a high bar to reach.

Now this show for some strange reason bares the exact same name as the title of the first Avengers at least if your from the UK and that's where you saw the first movie anyways. So that basically means that if your from or in any country where the first film was released as Avengers Assemble you actually have to specify that your talking about the film and not the show on top of all this poster to both the show and the movie are basically the exact same.

I honestly have no idea why they chose to give the name of the show the exact same name as the movie since while it won't confuse people in America it would confuse people in other countries. Why they didn't just call it Avengers is beyond me since people would at least be able to tell the two apart even if the poster is the exact same one released for the movie which i'm actually fine with since from a marketing standpoint that actually makes sense since people would associate that poster design and layout with the first Avengers movie.

No matter how bad the show or film is it's always going to be cool seeing the Avengers fight each other and yeah the same is true here. Hell the only bad thing about this idea is that we don't get to see any interesting combinations we only see people who you think they would fight and that's just not that interesting even more so when you take into account that we just saw Thor and Hulk fight each other and Hawkeye and Black Widow fight each other in the first Avengers movie.

Try as I might I cannot find that much wrong with these episodes the only real thing that springs to mind is the pacing of both the episodes is pretty bad. There are times during both episodes were I felt bored and wanted to turn the episodes of but I stuck with them just to give you guys this review but trust me when I tell you that these episodes could and really should have been better paced at least in my opinion.

Now then boys and girls since this is an action show and there is action in these episodes that does mean that I have to talk about the action that's in these episodes. Which I honestly feel was really enjoyable since we did get to see alot of cool stuff in those action scenes and the animation was really good during the action scenes and it's always cool seeing all of the Avengers fight side by side to take down a bad guy.

Overall yeah these episodes are honestly pretty good I obviously cannot say if there better then other Avengers animated series but in terms of the Disney produced Marvel animated shows these episodes are solid. That being said as i've talked about in this review these episodes do have at least one major issue but i'm sure that you guys will find more and tell me about them as such these two episodes get a combined score of a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

All the images that I used in this review were gathered from either the official Disney fandom wiki page , the official Avengers Assemble fandom wiki page or google Images. I honestly feel that the place to get images for this show is the Disney fandom wiki age not due to how many there are because there's not alot but due to how HQ they are which for me at least a big selling point but you guys feel free to use whatever website you want.

Avengers Assemble Review

Marvel fans here we are with a review that I never thought i'd be doing but now is the right time given that Black Panther is killing it at the box office and the show's fifth season is going to focus on Black Panther so here is my review of Avengers Assemble.

Now the plot for the first season is The Avengers reunite and have to stop Red Skull from using the Tesseract while season two mainly deals with The Avengers fighting Thanos it's from season three on wards that the show changes it's title with this season being called Ultron Revolution and yeah it's in the name who The Avengers have to defeat and the current season is called Secret Warriors and it follows Black Panther and a new set of heroes who have to find The Avengers who have been scattered across space and time.

As you can pretty much gather each season has a different plot and a different title to go with it in terms of the best story I like the one being told in Secret Wars just because the team in season four havn't teamed up before the premier episode so we get to see them bond as a team and that to me makes this season more interesting.

Starring in the series is Laura Bailey , Troy Baker , Adrian Pasdar , Bumper Robinson , Roger Craig Smith , Fred Tatasciore , Travis Willingham and Adrian's replacement as Iron Man for season 4 Mick Wingert. Yeah for some reason they replaced Adrian Pasdar as Iron Man for season 4 and I don't like his replacement I think that Adrian has such a distinct voice that's perfect for playing Iron Man the rest of the cast are really good Fred has been playing Hulk since 2009 and I think it's safe to say that he is the voice of The Hulk now.

What kinda surprises me is how little known this show is for one thing it's Marvel they get alot of publicity from doing anything and secondly it's on a network owned by Disney who could pay for more publicity for the show Channel Frederator havn't even done a 107 facts video on the series and yet they did one for The Emoji Movie.

What most people either don't know or didn't realise is that this is part of an animated universe called the Marvel Animated Universe it so far consists of the since cancelled Ultimate Spider-Man , Avengers Assemble , Guardians Of The Galaxy and the since cancelled Hulk And The Agents Of Smash but you can watch these shows really in any order you want so you don't have to watch Ultimate Spider-Man to understand Guardians and so on.

As far as I can work out the animation was dine in house by Marvel Animation but there's a chance I could be wrong but if i'm not for an in house animation the animation was pretty well done I was looking to watch something as different as Avatar as I could and this really did hit the spot because it looks so different from Avatar.

The show also makes use of CGI animation as well and for the most part the two do blend really well but then there's scenes where you can tell straight up that it's CGI and it did take me out of the episode a little and I wish that they could have spent more time on making the CGI look a little better then what we did get.

Now what's interesting is that they have two designs for Falcon in the first three and the first episode of season four Falcon is dressed more like his comic counterpart but from episode 9 of season four he looks more like his live action counterpart not only is his suit more like it is in the live action movies but they also make him look like Anthony Mackie I was shocked at how much they made him look like Anthony.

I have to say that this series did the Inhumans better then the Inhumans TV Series did it's not saying much because that show's freaking terrible but in this series the Royal Family actually act like a Royal family and not just really angry siblings in this series they take measures to make sure Maximus cannot do anything evil which is way more then what they did in the god awful Inhumans show.

Since this is a superhero show there's alot of action in every episode and I have to say the action in the series was handled really well it's never just there for the sake of having an action scene it serves a purpose and that purpose is to help the story and for me that's the best thing an action scene can do and while it does boil down to who can hit who the hardest here it actually makes sense so I can't really knock the series for that.

If your an animation fans you'll want to know who's working on this series the writers for the first and the shows producers is the group Man Of Action who created the original and reboot of Ben 10 but also serving as a producer is Eric Radomski who is the creator of Batman: The Animated Series that's a lot of talent right there and i'm glad that Marvel put the right people onto this series because it could have been very freaking wrong if they didn't.

Overall this is a really good show but at the same time it's not as good as I think it could be but I do think that the show deserves more attention then what it does get so the show gets a 8.5 out of 10 from me.
