Lego Star Wars: The Mandalorian Special SPOILER FILLED Review

Lego and Star Wars are things tat usually go together hand in hand with Lego telling stories that appeal more to kids and Star Wars being able to put together some cool sets that feel that they fit in with that world. Heck they've even produced some decent but not great specials together in recent years well now they've released another special and it might just be the most pointless one of the bunch and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FILLED review of the special that is quite literally just a retelling of the first three season of The Mandalorian with the special in question being called simply just "Lego Star Wars: The Mandalorian" enjoy.

The plot of this special is believing he is there to track down a bounty The Mandalorian and Grogu arrive on Tatooine where they find that there friends are throwing a surprise party just for them. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very special well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very special was in all honesty OK at best. The specials plot for what it is isn't that bad but at the same time there are ither Lego Star Wars specials that do have better plots then this one with this specials plot feeling like it was meant to serve as a tie in for The Mandalorian And Grogu as the special is all about recapping key events from the show and really nothing more then that. The plot is outside of the recapped scenes is pretty thin at best with the special outside of what was described near the start of this review not really having a plot as while yes there are a few story scenes involving pirates they don't really come into play until near the end of the special which is far to little to late for that to happen with it feeling like that this special was made purely to sell kids on the idea of a mandalorian movie or any of The Mandalorian lego sets which is something that is also true for alot of the Lego sets but here it does feel like that it's getting in the way of the plot and while it is foolish to expect a good plot in a Lego Star Wars anything really you do however expect a plot that is at the vert least semi decent with the plot of this special not really being really rather entertaining and as well as not really being really rather engaging either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this special is Gavin Hammon as The Mandalorian , Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto and Bill Burr as Migs Mayfeld. Also starring in this special is David Pasquesi as Majordomo , Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze , Emily Swallow as The Armorer , Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon , Matthew Wood as Bib Fortuna , Jawas and The Kowakian Monkey-Lizard , Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand , Nick Nolte as Kuiil , Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano , Taika Waititi as IG-11 and IG-12 , Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett , Timothy Olyphant as Cobb Vanth , André Sogliuzzo as Mythrol and Stormtroopers , Carl Lumbly as Greef Karga , David Acord as MA-13 , Eric Bauza as Luke Skywalker and EV-9D9 , Flula Borg as The Client , Marti Matulis as Vane , Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Carson Teva , Shelby Young as Anzellans and Jawas , Steve Blum as Stormtroopers and Zeb Orrelios and Trevor Devall as A Dark Trooper , Dorian Shard and A Pit Droid.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very special well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very special was in all honesty OK at best. This specials acting was quite frankly alot more better then what it really had any right to be as like alot of these Lego Star Wars specials none of the specials actors had to turn in a good performance as let's be honest no one is going to watch these specials and yet alot of them did with the like of Eric Bauza being un recognizable as Luke Skywalker as he sounds so much like Mark Hamill that you'd assume that they just got him in to play the role again with the same thing also being true for Gavin Hammon who sounds so much like Pedro Pascal that you'd assume that they just got him back to voice the character. With the best actor in this special being Gavin Hammon as The Mandalorian as he does sound so much like Pedro Pascal that it does make you wonder why they didn't just get him to voice the character with Gavin doing enough to the voice to make it sound unique to him without doing so much that it's clear that it's not a different actor playing the role and while other actors in this special do get alot more characters to play Gavin only has the one and he plays him so well with him making the character more child friendly which given the fact that this is a kids special is something that does work for this special and it is something that does come through in his performance. With the acting that's in this special no really being helped by the fact that this specials script is just so bad as it gives none of this specials actors anything to work with interms of what it is that there actual characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does harm the overall quality of the acting that's in this very special.

Doing the animation for this special is the legenda and the greats that are currently over at Atomic Cartoons. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very special well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very special was in all honesty OK at best. The animation in this special was pretty decent but at the same time it did feel like a huge step down in quality when it comes to the animation that we would normally get in these lego specials as while granted the animation that we do normally get isn't the best you can still tell that there is alot of thought and effort put into it. Whereas here in this film whilst there is of course effort put into the animation it's lacking alot of thought with it being really choppy alot of the time as it lacks those extra few frames that alot of these Lego specials do have and this is something that does make the animation in this special feel more like an afterthought as there is nothing in this special from an animation stand point that makes the special stand out outside of the fact that all of the smoke and sand effects are rendered in a realistic looking 3D CGI which granted to does look good but at the same time it clashes with the fact that everything is meant to be Lego with all of the characters having these really stilted movements to them which in all fairness don't look that bad but but if they did have a few more frames of animation given to them then they could have made them look alot more smoother instead of making it look like there was a jump cut every few seconds.

For some reason this special just recaps alot of the key moments or the mandalorian not only from The Mandalorian TV show but also from The Book Of Boba Fett. Which is just weird as one of the many things that that show got made of was for feeling like the next season of The Mandalorian as very little of the Boba Fett show focused on Boba Fett himself and yet now we have a special that once again hits home the point that he was never the main character if his own show which is just stupid and granted the whole point of this special was to get kids caught up all of The Mandalorians adventures prior to The Mandalorian And Grogu but that doesn't mean that you had to include scenes from the show that helped to ruin a character that alot of die hard Star Wars loved. Heck the only good thing that this special really does with it being basically a clip how is the fact that it doesn't feature Lego versions of the Jack Black and Lizzo cameo from The Mandalorian season 3 as nobody needs to be reminded of that even being a thing and very the very fact that this is a clip show special does make the special feel pointless as we could just watch the actual episodes and get the same expirence only now we'd have have the added benefit of having context added to the scenes that are shown in this special and heck watching the actual episodes might be better as then we get to see the characters as they were originally meant to be and while there is a plus side of this special in that it is something that was purely made with little kids in mind and therefor of course the characters and the stories don't need to be as smart as they once where here by dumbing down the characters and still having it be a clip show special there basically dumbing down both The Mandalorian and The Book Of Boba Fett when that is something that they really didn't have to do.

To be frank here this whole special feels like it was made in order to promote The Mandalorian And Grogu as there s no need for them to do a recap of any of the events in that show were it not for that fact. However even that doesn't really make that much sense as this special has only just came out and The Mandalorian And Grogu came out in May of this year which does make it a bit late to do a special that might have been used to promote a movie that ultimately bombed at the box office however tho there is also a chance that this special wasn't meant to be a tie for that movie which if that was the case then one has to wonder why they had the plot of this special being characters just telling and showing us things that we've known have happened to the characters in the first place there is always a chance that this was done to get more kids into watching the film and the shows which OK is a good idea but it is really worth putting forward all of this time and money into a special that will be forgotten about by tomorrow. There are sets for The Mandalorian therefor maybe like with the Lego Disney Princess and Lego Marvel specials maybe this one was done to help shift some of the Lego sets which OK is fair enough as alot of the shows in the eighties and nineties were also made with the idea of selling the toys but the but thing this special doesn't really do that as it doesn't make the sets look good and given the fact that alot of the Lego set sell for almost triple digits it does make you wonder just who this special was made for as while you do get adults who are still into Lego those that are still into it and have kids that are old enough to play with it are really small and no parent with kids is going to spend alot of money on a Lego set.

In something that was a surprising move is the fact that in a few of the flashbacks to scenes from season 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian it looks like we get a silent cameo from Cara Dune. Which given everything that Lucasfilm and Disney put Gina Carano through when they fired her is a shocking thing to see as while yes the character doesn't speak in her scenes with them even skipping over the episode where the two meet up for the first time it was still shocking to see what might be her character showing up and while there is a good chance that it's not her character the model that they use looks to much like her for it not to be her an while it would have been nice if it is her as her character did play a big role in the first few seasons of the show given just how petty that Disney is it wouldn't be surprising if they come out and say that its not her even tho it's clearly modelled after her. The specials villain Dorian Shard isn't that bad of a villain as he does serve his purpose of being a family friendly villain but the same time none of the clips that the show show us why he's after The Mandalorian in the first place as he tells us that he's after him because of the fact that The Mandalorian killed a member of his family but nothing in the special has shown us that that was the case when it really should have done as then it would have made feel like a more thought out villain instead of just being anther angry Star Wars villain and while the character does indeed get some good moments in the special with him always correcting people that say he's a plant creature with him always saying something that he's plant like but none of of those tell us who he is as a character and none of them give us a reason to want to boo him outside of the fact that he's the main villain of the special and that's it and that's not enough to give us a good villain.

Now then this special has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty five minuets and nine seconds. Which to be fair to this special is kind of the bogstanderd running time for alot of these Lego Star Wars specials however tho alot of the other special justify there running times buy having a better plots that demand the special be that long where as here as outside of all of the recapped scenes the special doesn't have enough plot to fully justify it being that long as you very easily could have cut this special down to thirty minuets and and not cut a single story scene in the special as the only thing that you'd have to cut down on is the pointless recap scenes and that's it with the this special not really having enough plot there to fully cover that amount of running time in the first place. With this special not even using it's running time all that wisely as the special really doesn't fully develop it's plot with the plot being about as bare bones as you can get with even the main villain of the special not even showing up until about twenty minuets into the special all because of the of the fact that the makers of this special put alot more thought and effort into giving the special alot of pointless flashback scenes then they did into giving it a well thought and well developed plot. This is something that dos also effect the characters character development as while The Mandalorian gets character development with him learning the exact same thing that he learnt in the first season of the show that bein to open up his heart and let people in and help it was handled so badly in this special ass nothing that they had shown in the specials story scenes had hinted that that was going to be the case in the place with none of the specials other characters getting kind of character development whatsoever with the makers of this special caring more about giving us pointless cameo characters they did about giving its characters some actual character development but I really will admit that this special really does have some really good pacing to it tho. 

So now then as this is a comedy that special really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy thats actually featured / presented to us in this very special well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy thats actually featured / presented to us in this very special was in all honesty not that bad. With the specials comedy being alot of the typical comedy that we do find in Lego specials in that they'll reply a scene from something and then have a joke play over what was once a serious moment and that is something that does work for this special as there is alot of fun to be had in the world of Star Wars and even more so with The Mandalorian as a whole. With specials best joke being at the end of the episode one of The Mandalorian recap as during the fight against all of the other bad guys in that episode IG-11 does try to blow himself up with them taking it one step further in this episode by having him get upset at everything that he's done with him threatening to blow himself up over the tiniest thing with a fight that lasted minuets in the first episode now lasting hours as The Mandalorian has to stop him from blowing himself up all of the time and that is a good joke as it's making fun of something that happend in the actual episode but is doing so in a way that does feel respectful not only to the characters but the show as a whole with the one thing that the makers could have done to make it better being if they showed The Mandalorian getting angry which granted is somethin that they wouldn't have been able to do given the fact that he wears a helmet all the time but it is something that would have made that joke all the more funnier with the rest of the episodes jokes being just as good as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall it really is hard to say if this special or The Mandalorian And Grogu is worst as while that film was painfully bad alot of the time this special is still pretty bad with the thing being that this special was of course made with little kids in mind and that is something that we all really need to take into account when watching it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked abut all of the good an as well as all of the bad things that are in this very special in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very special really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Camp Rock 3 Film SPOILER FILLED Film Review

Back in the mid to late 2000's Disney struck gold with High School Musical so much so that they would try to rip it off with the lesser known but still very successful Camp Rock and while High School Musical would be come this mega franchise that is still going strong. Camp Rock only managed to spawn one sequel that was until today as the much anticipated third film has just been released first on Disney Channel as a Disney Channel Original Movie and then on Disney+ and well I just had to check this film the very first chance that I got and so then join me as I give you my SPOILERR FILLED review of the film that proves that Maria Canals-Barrera holds the secrets to the fountain of youth with the film in question being called simply just "Camp Rock 3" enjoy.

The plot of this film is hen there opening act cancels on them at the last minuet the members of Connect 3 decide to hold a three day contest at the camp to decide who there new opening act will be. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With this film still very much being a Disney Channel Original Movie this films plot is about as good as it gets when it comes to those as alot of them do have very cut and dry obvious plots where you know right away what's going to happen next. With this film being of no exception and while this is by no means a bad thing as it does make the film feel more like a throwback to films like The Cheetah Girls 2 or even the first Camp Rock but at the same time we have gotten better films since then and have had more plots where we didn't know where it was going like for example the last two Decendents movies with this films plot feeling like it would been better served if the film was made in say 2010 rather then in 2026 and while the films plot does have some good things going for it like the idea of the band hosting a competition to find there new opening act which is a good idea it's also one that is left feeling more like an afterthought to all of the things that the film gives alot more of it's focus and attention to  as the film does oddly enough not give it's main plot alot of focus with it giving it's many side plots more focus when they really didn't need it with this films plot being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Also starring in this film is Hudson Stone as Desi Scott , Casey Trotter as Cliff Carmichael , Brooklynn Pitts as Callie Banks , Ava Jean as Madison , Milo Manheim as Calvin Rhodes , Maria Canals-Barrera as Connie Torres , Sherry Cola as Lark , Ella Lucas as Danielle , Orlando Lucas as Daniel one of this films executive producers Kevin Jonas as Jason Gray , one of this films executive producers , Joe Jonas as Shane Gray and one of this films executive producers Nick Jonas as Nate Gray.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Much like with alot of the things in this film you do have to take into account that this is a Disney Channel Original Movie when it comes to judging it's quality of acting as alot of them don't have good acting in them and yet this films acting was alot more better then what one would expect from a Disney Channel original Movie with all of the films new actors more then holding there own when it comes to acting opposite the films returning actors. With the best actor in the whole entire film being Liamani Segura as Sage Scott as she just has that IT factor about her where you can have her playing any type of character and she would find a way to make it work with this being something that she does here as on the paper Sage could come across as being this really unlikable person and yet she does find away ti make the character more like her and in the process be this more likable character that you want to know more about and while she is in the very early days of her acting career she could really make a good go of it if she really wanted to as this film does give her a good chance to show her her natural charm and charisma which is something that really does shine through in her performance in this film. With the acting that's in this film not really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so bad as it gives none of this films actors absolutely anything to work with interms of what it is that there actual characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does harm the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Character wise this film does fair about as well as you'd expect given the fact that the Camp Rock films aren't really known for there great characters. As this films characters are as bare bones as you can think of for a Disney Channel Original Movie which quite frankly is fine for one of those films as the Disney Channel Original Movies never really went to far int characters and when they found a character type that worked they just copied and pasted that same character type into several other movies and yeah the same thing is true here as well as none of the films character feel all that original as alot of them do feel like knock offs of oddly enough characters seen in the first two Camp Rock films which is something that be find inf the makers of this film did literally anything interesting with them but that don't. With Sage being someone who is all about rehearsing and practicing her music which some odd reason is seen as being a bad thing even tho she wants to be a singer whereas her brother Desi is more about living in the moment and that's great but Disney Channel literally had a TV show with that exact same character set up called Austin & Ally with the rest of the films characters not really being all that good either with the Connect 3 members being both the best and worst of the bunch they are the best in that they are written as they were in the original film but there the worst in that they do nothing interesting in the film even Connie who is no promoted to Camp Director doesn't get to show off why we liked her all that much in the first two films, all of the films characters do feel like first draft characters as there isn't all that much to them with the makers of the film relying more on nostalgia for the first two films to carry it's returning characters and not doing anything interesting with it's new characters to where we ant to see more of them in future Camp Rock films.

Just to be clear here up until a few short days ago this revie was going to be a SPOILER FREE but then something got confirmed and well it is true as for the first time in almost twenty years we have one of this films executive producers Demi Lovato back as Mitchie Torres. This is a big thing for two reasons the first of which being the fact that she was the main character of the first two films and them doing a third film without her in it in someway shape or form just wouldn't feel right somehow and the second of which being the fact that this is the first time the Demi has worked with Disney on anything for almost twenty years as she has been very much still in the public eye for better or for worse since then and she does look really good in this film. The character does only appear in what is basically both a cameo role and a passing of the torch type of role at the end of the film where she does have a few scenes with all of the returning actors from the first two films and she does have a passing of torch moment with Sage where the two of the exchange glances with each other near the end of the film, but the character does get mentioned twice before then when Sage finds her songbook and does find inspiration in it before returning it to Connie which was pretty sweet as it does give all three characters this unspoken connection thus making the passing of the torch moment mean a little bit more but it still would have been nice if we did get to see more of Mitchie like maybe she could have taken part in the end song or even having her appearing in the end credits video would have been nice and nice tip of the hat to the fans of the first two films but in all fairness Demi might not have been ready to commit to doing a minor role in the film as she is still a busy woman in her own right and does still have her own demons to over come.

Much like with the first two films this film does also have a romance subplot however unlike with the first two films where the romance was actually cute and enduring. The same thing cannot be said for this films romance it's not badly written or anything but its due to the fact that the characters of Sage and Fletch feel like there being forced together as none of them bring out anything better in the other with them both bringing out the exact same things that all of the other campers bring out in each other and while the characters do indeed share alot of screen time together none of the scenes that they have together or romantic scenes with them nine times out of ten being with there friends or the friends are just off screen somewhere. Yet if I were t compare this to the romance in either the original film or Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam the romance plots in those films where done so much more better as they did feature couples that did bring out the best in each other with the couples even having scenes together away from there friend groups with them being able to get as romantic as they could have done in a Disney Channel Original Movie and yet here in this film it does feel like the makers of this film didn't really know how to make a romance work as while it does tie into the plot in a small way which was nice to see there's nothing in Fletch's and Sage's character that would make them seem like a good fit for each other as there's nothing to there characters to begin and if the makers of this film really wanted to make these character a believable romance then there should have been some of level of effort put into making good in the first place as while the actors do there best to make it work they can only do so much and the makers of this film really did need to give the romance more thought and effort to make it work in the film.

This film is of course a musical film with the sings written by Matthew Tishler , Shridhar Solanki , Mitch Allan and Kara DioGuardi. The film does feature several new songs with the film mixing the approaches taken t the by the first two films as have of the songs are sung by the characters performing them live and the other half or done in the traditional musical way where a character would just randomly breakout into song which in all fairness is a good way to do the songs as while it would have been better if they just went with the way that the first film did there songs where the songs where sung as actual songs the characters were singing taking a mixed approach does have it's advantages as well as it does allow for the makers of the film to really go crazy with the visuals and just have fun with it which is something that they do quite easily in this film. With the best song in the film being "One Beat Away" which might have been the obvious choice as that is the first song that Disney released to help to promote the film but it is a good song with the song having this punk pop rock vibe to it that does remind you of some of the songs in the first film with the song it self being really well sung but alot of the new actors in this film, with the film even having some covers of the first films songs with "We Rock" , "Play My Music" , "Start the Party" and "What It Takes" all getting covered in some small way in this film with the worst one oddly enough being "We Rock" as even tho the films soundtrack has it being listed as being well over two minuets and forty seconds in the film they only play about thirty seconds of it with us getting some bad singing from all involved in those thirty seconds whereas if they did play the full length version of it then it might have been alot more better but with "One More Beat" they nailed it right away as it does as a good and fun song to introduce some of the main characters whilst being really well sung on the whole.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty minuets and twenty one seconds. Which is pretty much the exact running time that you'd expect one of these films to have and to be fair to this film the film does kind of need to have that long of a running time as the film essentially has three plots all going on at the same time with there of course being the main plot , the there's the romance subplot and then there's the plot of Connect 3 learning to reconnect again and while the third plot does et resolved OFF SCREEN which makes it pointless as it would have given the brothers something to do in the film the film does need this amount of running tm to do all of those plots some kind of justice with the film having more the  enough plot there to cover that amount of running time in the first place. Yet despite the film being as long as it is this film really doesn't use its running time all that wisely as the film has so many other plots to cram into it's short running time that it does start to feel over stuffed whereas if the film lost say the romance subplot as that adds nothing to the plot of the film in the first place then it would have freed up time to give any of the films other plots some much needed development but the makers of this film cared amount about giving us some pretty bad versions of classic Camp Rock songs then they did in giving the plot some actual development. This is also true for the film character development as none of the films characters get any kind of character development to begin with this is despite the fact that all of the five main characters all take part in this amazing bus scene where they all tell each other what being at camp really means to them and how its changed them with them all vowing to remain friends regardless of who wins this competition but none of it means anything as the films characters really are so poorly done in the first place with the makers of this film care more about giving us nostalgia for the first two films then in giving us character development but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a comedy that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With there being alot of the kinds of jokes that you would expect one of these Disney Channel Original Movies to have but then every once in a while you will get a joke that whilst it's not the smartest joke in the world is a pretty decent joke as it does ether play into where the older characters are now or where the newer characters are as well which is a pretty fun thing to do but the film also oddly enough doesn't give the actor who can do comedy and has done alot of comedy in Maria Canals-Barrera as she gets no jokes in the film yet she's the only one that we know from other comedies can be funny. With the best joke being early on in the film where Shane and Nate accuse a now parent Jason of never being ready to rock with him turning around with a baby strapped to his chest still being adamant that he is always ready to rock and that is a pretty good joke as it does play into the fact that Jason was always the dimwitted one of the group and therefor he would of course do something like this as that does feel true to who his character both was and still is with that joke proving that the makers of this film can do a decent joke if they can be bothered to do so and yet nine times out of ten in this film it does feel like they couldn't be bothered to do so with the rest of the films jokes being just as decent as well im my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall not only is camp back in session but so is the mid to late two thousands Disney Channel era as we've had or are getting continuations or specials of movies and shows that were from that same time period with this film proving that you do need more then nostalgia to make a really good film despite the fact that this film is still a pretty decent film in it's own right in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Star Wars Visions Presents: The Ninth Jedi TV Series SPOILER FILL Review

Right now Star Wars might be faltering when it comes to it's live action out put but the one place where it is still thriving is in the world of animation. Yet even so there is a new Star Wars animated show out there that not alot of people are talking about with even Lucasfilm and Disney themselves not mentioning the show at all this is despite the fact it's a spin off show featuring a character from popular Star Wars Visions TV series and so then join me as I give you my SPIOILER FILLED review of the show that is alot more better then The Mandalorian And Grogu with the show is question being called simply just "Star Wars Visions Presents: The Ninth Jedi" enjoy.

The plot of this show is Lah Kara and her friends continue the search for her father but also have to deal with the villainous threat of Nawaam and his scheme to use Kyber Crystals to power a new and deadly weapon to the galaxy. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty really good. The shows plot is a really solid plot as it make it feel like the next step up from the shorts that we got in Volumes 1 and 3 of Star Wars: Visions with the show taking full advantage of the fact that it's not a TV series and can afford to tell a much more bigger plot with these  characters something which for obvious reasons they weren't able to do in Star Wars Visions. This is not to say the plot of the show is without fault as there are things wrong with this shows plot like the fact that the plot of the show is rather weak with it being hard to make out just what the main plot of the show is meant to be alot of time and the other thing being the fact that the shows plot is oddly more smaller in scale this is something that would have been fine if this was an episode of Vision as there it would oddly make sense but here it's it's own show and therefor the plot of the show should have been alot more bigger and been about as epic as it could have have been for a TV show as now you have he room to tell that much more bigger plot with the plot of this show being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Starring in this show is Kimiko Glenn as Lah Kara ,  Andrew Kishino as Margrave Juro and Brent Mukai as Dunbai. Also starring in this show is Bodies Bodies Bodies star Chase Sui Wonders as Tafflah , Feodor Chin as Gennoh Ikari , The Brady Bunch Movie star Keone Young as Kwana , Heroes star Masi Oka as Ethan , Patrick Seitz as Homen , Simu Liu as Lah Zhima , Young Mazino as Nawaam and Aleks Le as Bee-Toh.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty really good. The fact that we get some really good acting in this show us something that does make alot of sense as alot of this shows are not only a bunch of really good actors actors in there own right but also alot of them are reprising their roles from the Visions shorts with the same thing also being true for the Japanese dub of the show as well and this is something that does help with the shows acting as alot of those returning actors will have a good grip on there characters will know how best to perform them in any given scene. With the best actor in this show is Kimiko Glenn as Lah Kara as not only is she one of the many actors that has played the character in the shots as well as in this show but she also makes the character alot of fun to watch her performance being energetic when it needs to be and very sad and down beat when the story demands it this is something that does make her performance in this show alot of fun to watch as you do get the feeling that she knows what kind of a show this is and is willing to go all out with the performance with this being something that does shine through in her performance. With the acting that's in this very show really being helped by the fact that this shows scripts are just so good that all this episodes actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's n this very show.

Doing the animation for this show is the legends and the really greats that are currently over at Production I.G. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty really good. The fact that we have this high level of animation in a streaming show isn't all that surprising as when you think of Production I.G. you do usually think of high quality work be it in there films or in there TV shows. With the fact that they had around 200 members of there own staff working on the animation for this show it does tell you just how much work that they put into doing the animation as they could have done the bare minimum but they didn't they went the extra mile and filled every single scene with animation as usually you can tell when an episode is the cheap episode of a show as the characters will cover there moves to hide there lips not moving or it will just be the top half of there bodies that are moving yet none of that does seem to be the case in these eight episodes I could be wrong tho but based off of what I saw it does appear as if everything was fully animation. With the show even making great use of 3D CGI animation alot of the time with the CGI being blended into the 2D animation rally well well and while there are times where you can tell that they are using CGI it's done to animate things that would have been really hard to do in 2D, with the characters having some really nice fluid movements to them and the shows backgrounds especially in the city scenes looking very highly detailed and like there was alot of love and care put into them.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Usually when there is a new Star Wars show you don't need to have seen what's come before it in order to fully understand the new show. This is not one of those shows as you do need to have to seen both of the shorts in order to fully understand the plot of this show and it's main characters however in this case this isn't that big of task as the short films aren't that long you could very easily watch both shorts an hour before diving into this show but this is something that you should be made fully aware off as the show just expects you to know what's going with Kara and what her deal is and that is something that you' only know if you saw both of the shorts the best way to think of this show is to think of it as like the original Powerpuff Girls as like with this show that show started out as a series of short films as well with elements from the shorts crossing over into the show much like they do here. This show is a really good spin off of the shorts as they carry over the things that we loved about the shorts like Kara and her crew being this rag tag bunch of heroes just trying to do there best in the far flung future of Star Wars but it does also add in things that we didn't know that we wanted like the fact that they reveal that Kara's beloved father killed his Jedi master in cold blood and started to become a Sith only to realise that what he was doing was wrong this is something that does bring him into conflict with the shows main villain Nawaam who was her fathers apprentice at the time he killed his master and actually does go to become a sith lord believing that Kara's father was right in his actions this is such a good twist as it does make not only Kara but also us the audience wonder if we can actually trust her father again with it also forcing to Kara to question her own goal as her goal since the first short short film was all about getting her father back but now that she knows that he killed someone she has to think does she really want him back.

If you thought that the heroes were going to be getting out of this series alive and well then you were wrong. Due to the fact that Margrave Juro does die at the end of episode four "Nawaam Attacks" which was a pretty cool way to add shock value to the show as now it says to us the audience that if he can die that maybe one of the other main characters can now die as well and the episode does almost kill off another main character with them hinting that Lah Zhima gets killed by Nawaam during the shows truly epic final episode and while they don't go all the way with it the fact that they even hinted at that gut punch does show you that the makers of this show were more then willing to take La Kara to those dark places in the first place. With just the death of Margrave Juro being more then enough to set her on the path to becoming a sith as when he does get killed of we see her acting more out of rage and anger with her lightsaber going from green to silver to reflect her new emotions with this being something that does make her a morally complex character with her willing to go to those dark places when she is push beyond that point herself and yet it you look at someone like Luke for example even tho he had plenty of reasons to go to those dark places in just the first Star Wars film alone they never went to those places with him as a character and yet in this show it's on of the first things that they do with Kara and it works as it not only makes her a morally complex character but it also makes her a better written character because of it as now we know that she is willing to go those places herself granted she would need to be pushed there but the very fact that they toyed with her turning into a sith in the first place is shocking in all of the best ways possible.

This might seem like such a cliche to hate on Rey but Kara is a better written character out of the two of them. As we get to see Kara struggle to balance between doing what is right when she finds out that her father killed someone with it being something that does cause her to doubt herself all throughout the show something which we never saw Rey do as she was written to be this perfect character but with Kara we got a flawed character someone who could make mistakes and who could slip up alot of the time and due to that she is is the more interesting of the two characters whereas with Rey due to the fact that she is written to be this picture perfect character who can do no wrong then there's truly nowhere for her character to go but down. Unlike with Rey we do actually see Kara training to grow her Jedi powers this is something that does make it more believable when she does go up against a more experienced Jedi user like Nawaam whereas when Rey went up against Kylo Ren at the end of The Force Awakens it wasn't believable that she would not only survive being attacked by him but also hold her own again him as up until that point she hadn't help a lightsaber in combat before whereas due to the other shorts we know that Kara has with even one of the episodes in this show showing Juro training her using a couple of training balls and that is something that does go along way into making her a stronger character as now we the audience would have seen what the character has gone through in her training and what she can do in fights with those things making her the more stronger female character because of it and yet due to the fact that she isn't in any of the live action movies or live action show she'll never be recognized as being a stronger character then Rey is.

Now then this show has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly no longer then twenty nine minuets. With all of the episode having running time that range from twenty minuets to to twenty eight minuets with all of the episodes having the perfect amount of running times to them with the thing that does let the show in this regard being the fact that the show is about four episodes two long as you very easily could have told this shows entire plot in bout four maybe five episodes at a stretch as the plot for the show isn't one that demands it be ten episodes and while there are no filler episodes to be found there are alot of filler scenes in the later episodes that do feel like they where there to fully justify the shows ten episode count with the show not really having more then enough plot there to cover that amount of episodes in the first place. With the show not really using its running time all that wisely in one regard as the show doesn't take the time to fully develop it's plot as the show does puck and to drop off it's plot alot of the time with the show not really adding anything to the main plot as even the fact that Kara finds out her dad might be evil isn't something that effects the plot of the show at all when something as big as that should have had a more lasting impact on the shows plot with the makers of this show being more focused on giving us the backstory of Kara's father then they are about giving us a plot development. The same thing however cannot be said for the episodes character development as while not alot of the characters get character development in this show there really was only one character that needed to get that being Kara herself and she does get character development as she does go from someone who is doing her best for her father to openly questioning if she is doing the right thing to someone who knows that her father did something wrong in the past but still loves him because of who he is now and that is something that she only could have learnt in this show but I really will admit that this show really does have some really good pacing to it tho. 

So now then as this is an action show that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty really good. With the shows animation in this case really helping with the shows action as the animation does help to make the action come off the screen and really feel alive with the best example of this being in the fourth episode when we see our heroes are attacked by Nawaam's army with every hit in that scene looking like it hurts with us even getting some good character animation on Kara as we get to see her go from this rage less Jedi in training to this rage filled person who could be come a sith. With the best action in the whole entire show being the third act in episode 8 "The Ninth Jedi" as we do get to see out nine jedi heroes and there allies hold off Nawaam's men whilst Kara and helps her father fight Nawaam himself with there being lots of just cool things happening in this episodes action which is what you want to see in an action show and the fact that alot of this episodes running time is just one big action scene does show us that the makers of this show where more then willing to give us all of the things that we want to see in a Star Wars show with even the fight between Kara and Nawaam having a good dose of storytelling thrown as we do get to see Kara realize that Nawaam's way of thinking of just being this emotionless robot basically is just as destructive as being this hate filled sith with that being what causes her lightsaber to go back to green and gives her he strength to win the fight and have Nawaam arrested with the rest of the shows action being just as good as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall if you've loved Star Wars Visions then your going to love this show as it is a perfectly good spin off show that more people should be talking about and yet next to one is even tho this show really does prove the point that there really is still love and there still creativity to be found in Star Wars you just have to look in different places other then the movies in order to find it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all oft he good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very sow in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very show really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Descendants: Wicked Wonderland Film Review

It appears as if the Descendants franchise has now become one of those franchises where Disney doesn't even bother to put in the effort to tell you that there's a new film out. As there is a new Descendants film out right now on Disney+ and yet Disney did nothing to tell you that the film was even happening in the first place and well as i've reviewed quite literally all of the Descendants films from the very beginning all the way up to The Quest For Red you all just knew that I had to review this film the first chance that I got and so then join me as I review the film that shows off it's version of Wonderland with the film in question being called simply just "Descendants: Wicked Wonderland" enjoy.

The plot of this film is some time after the events of the previous film Chloe and Red find there friendship tested when they are forced to team up with other villain kids to stop an evil version of The Mad Hatter from taking over Wonderland. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty average at best. This films plot is at best a very paint by numbers plot as you know full well exactly where this films plot is going to go and what the big dramatic third act moment will be and sure enough it does go exactly where you think that it's going to go. However tho this is something that doe work well enough to the films advantage as the films plot is meant to be this things where you can work out what's going to happen next as alot of the fun and craziness of these films is seeing the off spring from other well known Disney characters with this being something that has always been the main draw of these films and whilst yes the original three films did have more of a focus on plot here with these last two films it does seem as if the focus is shifting to be more seeing the kids of Disney characters then in actually giving the films decent plot and while the previous film had the nostalgia factor working for it this film doesn't have that and therefor the issues with the plot do become a bigger issue as the films plot when it does get some focus is at best thin and not that very well thought out with the plot of this film not really being really rather entertaining and as well as not really being really rather engaging either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This is something that is to be expected at this point as this is still a Disney Channel Original Movie and those don't typically have great acting in hem and yet at the same time this film  acting was alot more better then what you would expect it to be with this being due to the fact that alot of this films actors are reprising their roles not only from the previous films but from other Disney films as well and therefor they would have a good idea on how best to act as there respective characters. With the best actor in this film being Leonardo Nam as Maddox Hatter as it does seem like that he is the only one there that is actually excited to be there as he is having such a blast acting in this film and infact alot of his scenes are the some of the more fun scenes in the film to watch as you never really know just how really over the top that he's going to go with the performance and whereas with every one else you really do get the feeling that they'd rather be anywhere else except making this movie right now you do really get the feeling that he really is genuinely excited to be there and that is something that really does shine through in his final performance. With the acting that's in this very film not really being helped by the fact that this films script isn't that good as this films script doesn't give any of this films actors absolutely anything to work with interms of what it is that there actual characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does harm the over all quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Doing the CGIA for this film is Embassy Visual Effects , Image Engine Design , 1.618 VFX , Mr. Wolf , Distillery VFX , Ingenuity Studios , Curated , Hinesight Productions , The Sequence Group and Industrial Light & Magic. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty average at best. The fact that this films CGI is pretty average is something that is both surprising and at the same time not all that surprising it's not surprising in the sense that this is a Disney Channel Original Movie still and those don't have great looking CGI in them as they don't have the budgets for that but at the same time the fact that they managed to to get ILM to do effects work for this film does make it all the more surprising that the films effects are as OK as they are in the first place. While alot f this films CGI is pretty decent as there are some good looking effects when we get to Wonderland alot more of the films effects are just painful to look at as they are really bad alot of the time which is something that does make sense as this is still a made for TV movie but this is a nig franchise for Disney and yet there still churning out effects that look really bad with there being an almost laughably bad CGI cat in the film with the film being obsessed with showing us CGI filled establishing shots and all of them look bad as they make it look like that the film was made ten years ago. Whilst we do get some decent looking effects in Wonderland like alot of the trails that come off of Bridgit's cards look really good the Maddox's spies look really good when the film does have a bad effect in Wonderland it doesn't cut away from it rather it keeps it on screen for a long while when all this does is just make the effect look even more worse.

The key theme in this film is bonds and the lengths that people will go to to keep them as we see Chloe go to great lengths to keep her friendship strong with Red whilst new character Pink goes to lengths to keep her bond with Red going and Max tries to get a bond going with his father Maddox. This is a goo idea as it is a theme that these films really haven't hit upon before now only due to the fact that the film feels more like a trailer for it's soundtrack it does mean that we have to fit in an overproduced song alot of the time when that time could have been used to better explore those bonds and what it is that they mean to those people as we know full well what Chloe and Red mean to each other thanks to the previous but we don't know that with any of the other characters. With the big third act drama being about as predictable as you think it's going to be with it also not really working due to the fact that the films plot doesn't really leave room for this kind of moment to work and heck the previous film even had a very similar scene in it therefor it makes it pointless for them to have a scene in this film where the same thing happens, whereas if the film did take to the time to fully flesh out this theme and show us what these relationships mean to all of the people then it would have made alot more sense as to why this moment happens in the first place as this is something that would allow for this theme to be fully explored as it is something that none of these films have explored until now with alot them exploring the found family idea and what it means to be a family both of which are good ideas but to see this film tackle a different them is a breath of fresh air even tho it does hugely drop the ball with it, with the only thing that could have fixed this issue is doing a page one rewrite of the films script as the theme itself is so tied into the plot that you can't fix it with just one scene.

This film is a musical with songs written by Michelle Zarlenga ,  Chantry Johnson , Mitch Allan , Antonina Armato , Tim James Price , Thomas Armato Sturges  , Adam Schmalholz , Jordan Powers , Josh Cumbee and Jaheem King Toombs. Even tho this films soundtrack is listed as being a pop album it's not a Disney version of rap and hip hop album wit all of the films songs sounding the exact same with there being nothing in any of the films that makes them stand out from each other heck there's not even a different genre of music it's all just the same bland and safe stuff that Disney can push on to kids with nothing new added to them that makes them stand out with things being made worse when you take into account that the film uses alot of autotune which does make it hard to judge the singing from the films younger actors. With the films only decent and decently sung song being "The Girl I Used to Be" which is a decently written song about two characters looking back on there younger lives fondly remembering who they used to be and how much simpler things where back then when compared to how they are nowadays with the song itself also being the best sung song in the whole entire film which does make sense as the sing is sung by Brandi and Rita Ora both of whom are decent singers that can more then hold a tune with this song being the only song that has no autotune in it and it's not that hard to see why as the two singers are just that good with them more the holding your attention throughout the entire song with this song feeling more like a pop ballad type with all of the other songs feeling like over produced badly done hp hop songs as this song actually does do what it set it to do and that's make you feel something for characters that didn't get alot of screen time in there adult forms in the previous film.

Speaking of the moms they actually get to do alot more in the film this time around whereas in the previous film they were basically there in just the opening and the ending. Here tho they actually play a bigger role in the films plot which was something that was kind of refreshing to see as given the fact that both of them are played by big named stars it would have been understandable if Disney only had them appear at the start and at the end again and then just use them for marketing purposes but no they actually do something with them and while that something mainly has them contained to just the one room with alot of there scenes together being them just acting with other it was still fun to keep on seeing more of them in the film. Much like with the previous film tho there is one character that did get done dirty and if you've seen the previous film then you'll know what character it is as it's the same character and it still makes zero sense as this character would of course want to help out due to the fact that they have a stake in this fight to and yet the film barely features the character with them oddly enough only appearing at the start and the end of the film with this person having a few lines of dialog near the middle of the film of the film which makes there inclusion pointless as there role in the film could have been played by anything other character in the film and it would have made just as much sense, this is something that wouldn't be a bad things if it meant that we got to see more of the friendship between Cinderella and Bridgit as in the previous film we really only saw them as friends when they were young therefor seeing them act as friends as adults would have been interesting but the film doesn't give them a moment where they discuss what it's like being friends with the other when that would have been interesting to see in the film.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty five minuets and twenty eight seconds. This is pretty much the bogstanderd running time for these films with this film struggling to each that as the films has a song play every couple of minuets it seems which to be honest was getting rather frustrating as alot of the songs aren't that good with alot of the song running time being somethin that could have been use to give the films plot alot more more focus with it feeling lie that the makers of this film knew full well that the films plot wasn't that good and therefor they just stuffed the film with songs and hoped that they we wouldn't notice with the film not really having enough plot to cover that amount of running time with the film only having enough plot for about forty minuets with the films songs lasting around thirty eight minuets in total. With the film not really using it's running time all that wisely as the film doesn't take the time to fully develop its plot as the film doesn't take to the time to add things to its plot that make it feel well thought out and while OK fair enough this film is made for little kids ad with little kids in mind there still needs to be some amount of plot development happening with none of the films songs adding anything to the films plot either with it being clear as day that the makers of this film are alot more focused in playing a song every five minuets then they are giving us a well thought out plot. The same thing is also true for the films character development as none of the films characters have a scene where they get to well developed which s fair enough for characters like Red and Chloe where you could make the point that they got there development in the previous film but none of the films new characters get anything interms of character development either with the film being more focused on giving us a forced romance then it is in giving us character development but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to itt ho.

So now then as this is a comedy  that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. The film does have some cute funny moments in it and while none of the films jokes are laugh out loud funny there still and attempt in there to give the film some actually funny moments with alot of the films best moments comedy wise coming from new character Hazel Hook as she is a funny character that if they do another one of these films they have to keep her character as she was a breath of fresh air with her sarcastic sense of humor. With the films best joke oddly enough not featuring her character as it instead feature the Smee twins who like there father are bit short up top as when they are told by Hazel to go and climb to see where they are instead of climbing a tree as she had suggested they do they instead start climbing each other which is a pretty cute joke and it is something that there characters would do with alot of the films jokes revolving around how Hazel has to look after them with the only thing that made that funnier was if someone like Pink got in on the act as well as she is a new character in the film therefor it still would have worked for her character to give the Smees orders only for them to mess it up as that is something that would have made her character more entertaining to watch with the rest of the films jokes being just as good as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall if you liked the blandness and the nothingness of the previous film then your going to love this film but it is getting more and more clear that this franchise is in need of a shake up as this film does prove that it is running out of steam due to the fact that everything about this film is just so bland in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and a such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.
