Some Anime Shows I Want To Review

Hello there anime fans as you might have noticed I like to review alot of things and that's because the things I want to talk about are things that havn't been talked about. Yes there is the odd new movie but it's mostly classic stuff and well I mention that because today i'm going to tell you some of the shows that I want to review at some point in the future.

My Hero Academia

When I first started thinking of shows to go on this list this show was nowhere to be found but as I started writing the intro I started to think it would be a really good show to watch. The only thing that's stopping me from doing it is the fact that there's alot of episodes per season to get through and that's very time consuming so i'll do it if they release some recap movies.

Love Live! School Idol Project

Now I do have a Love Live! review in the offing at some point in the new year but i'm also really thinking about reviewing this show. Which would make sense since I did review the movie and I plan of reviewing the Sunshine movie when that's out in the new year.

Love Live! Sunshine!!

As of right now this is the only Love Live! show that I can actually plan on reviewing since i'm getting the first season in a few weeks. I plan on reviewing it because nobody talks about the love live franchise be it good or bad so i'm going to do it just because no one else is and that is really surprising to me since it's a popular franchise.

Attack On Titan

Now that we've had a brief look in the idol genre let's dive back into the action genre because not only do I plan on reviewing Attack On Titan. I actually have a way to do it and it's so freaking simple my plan is simply this just watch the recap movies they cover all of the key episodes anyway so not only would that cut out alot of filler it would also save me a lot of freaking time.

High School DXD

I think every anime reviewer at some point has to take on this mammoth of a show the only thing that I would need to work out as how many episodes to watch. Since there's four seasons of the show and each season has twelve episodes it would be a huge task for any soul to take on. I promise you tho once I work out how many i'd need to watch and if I have the time i'll get right to it but that's a very big if.

 Blood-C

Now this is a show that I do actually plan on reviewing in the next few weeks and since I have the DVD it would be very easy to do. As with anything tho plans could change in a heartbeat so i'll say that if you see the review by next Monday then you'll know that my plans hadn't changed but if you don't see it then something came up that forced me to alter my plans.

Sword Art Online

Now this one would kind of be easy to do since there is a recap film of the first season out there. it's when we get to seasons two and three that things would get difficult to do it's not impossible by any means but i'd have to work out again how many episodes to watch in order to do the review justice but it's one that I look forward to working out and then reviewing.

Dragon Ball Z

As with a shocking amount of shows on this post the only thing that's stopping me from reviewing this show is the amount of episodes. Even if I chose to just watch the Kai series there's still a huge amount of episodes to get through and unlike a few of the shows i've already mentioned there's no recap films here to help me out. So i'd have to watch a huge amount of episodes in order to do this review any kinds of justice.

Why Anime Is Not Just For Kids

Good morning anime fans i really didn't intend on making a post this early in the morning but tho i want to finally put in my two sense about one single phrase and it's one that if your an anime fan such as myself you hear at least once a week and that phrase is "Anime Is For Kids" or at least some form of those words.

Now i would like to point out that not all anime is for adults because there are shows that are made just for kids some examples include Pokemon and Digimon i know that there is more but to mainstream people those are the two that matter most. That's because both of those shows especially Pokemon have become worldwide hits and so to mainstream people who perhaps don't know about Death Note or the Hellsing series all anime is just like Pokemon or Digimon I.E. just for kids.

I will however say that both shows in the past few years have tried to mature a little in Pokemon XYZ ASh got his first kiss it's a small thing yes but it also shows that the series was at that point trying to mature and in the newest Digimon film series we catch up with the original Gang years later thus moving on from the kids show formula now i don't know if the writing for Digimon has mautred or not but i can say for Pokemon it has a little bit.

What the mainstream people have to realise is not all anime if for kids just go into your local DVD shop and look at the anime isle you'll see plenty of stuff for adults as well you don't have to watch any of it just look at the cover and the age rating that alone should tell you not all anime if for kids i've put up a picture of the recent Hellsing anime because that's honestly the most mature anime i've seen recently and was the anime that got me back into anime.

If the mainstream audience were to see an anime like Hellsing it won't stop them from saying that all anime if for kids in fact most of them will not want to talk about it but i think it will help a little another anime that i think might help with this is the anime Death Note but that's one were i can see people looking at the cover and think it's for kids so with that one they may need to watch an episode or two but what both these shows and the next show i want to talk about have in common is the fact there not afraid to take risks and to tell a more mature story.

The other series i wanted to talk about was Attack On Titan if you think this show is for kids then wait until the end of the first episode in which spoiler alert the main heroes mother gets eaten alive and i'm sure you see some blood come out of her as well. If that episode alone doesn't convince you that anime is kids only then your in denial because this show has done something that the other two couldn't do and that's become popular with some mainstream people even the great Death note didn't do that so i think that Attack On Titan helped convince people that anime is not just for kids and it also got more people into anime which is a good thing overall.

As i mentioned early on not all anime is for adults but tho you cannot right of an entire medium just based on what's popular that like comparing The Fast and The Furious movies to Lawrence Of Arabia you just can't do that you have to treat them all separately in order to judge them all fairly and it's the same thing with music you can't compare Justin Bieber to Mozart they are two different people working in two different genre's so comparing them would be useless and pointless. The same thing can also be said for anime it's pointless to compare a kids anime to something like Ghost In The Shell because they have two different target audiences so what's the point in it.

I know people will kill me for not bringing up Elfen Lied but the fact is i cannot talk that much about the show as i've only seen a few clips here and there but based on what i have seen it's a very adult anime at least in terms of what it shows so that's really all i can say about that show and the same goes for deadman wonderland.

Not all shows however have to be filled with blood and guts to called an adult anime look at shows like HighSchool Of The Dead or High School DXD they are full to the brim with fanservice and yet to the mainstream audience they are on the same level as Pokemon or Digimon to me that's not a fair comparison to make and again if the mainstream audience would look at the age rating on the DVD or Blu-Ray they would know that.

The bottom line tho is that as long as shows like Pokemon stick in the mind of mainstream audiences other more mature shows will just be classed in their minds as only for kids and we anime lovers will always be stuck with that phrase but there is something we can do however we can try and get them to watch shows like Death Note and like Elfen Lied or Hellsing in the vain hope it will change their minds.

Shingeki no Kyojin Movie 2: Jiyuu no Tsubasa AKA Attack On Titan: The Wings Of Freedom Review

Hello anime fans i'm here to get you all ready for season 2 of Attack On Titan and the best way i thought i could do is if i review the second movie called Shingeki no Kyojin Movie 2: Jiyuu no Tsubasa since i've already reviewed the first one  so here we go with the second .

Now here is where i would get into the story of the film but since this film is a recap from the second half of the first season i will just say watch the first season of the show and you'll get the story. I will however say this the film's pacing isn't that good there are scenes that could have served from getting trimmed down a bit.

All the voice actors from the series are all back (duh) and they all do a great job voicing there characters one of the things i liked about not only the first movie but also the few episodes of season one i did watch was the voice acting and how the actors were able to make you believe that this world is real and so are the threats within it.

The animation is freaking brilliant the motions were very fluid and life like but you can tell that this was done on a TV budget this is sadly one of the short comings that all recap movies have especially when it comes to anime recap films it's nothing the film makers can help but since it's in the film i have to point it out.

Since this film is the last entry of Attack On Titan before we go through the long wait for season 2 there is a new ending added on that does lead into the new season i won't spoil it here but if your a die hard fan of the franchise you will like it. The one thing i discovered while watching this film is how brutal the action scenes are you see a lot of blood and they don't even try to hide it either.

Overall if your a fan of the show and you want a quick recap of the first series then i recommend you watch these films however if you have not seen the first series but are interested in seeing what it's all about then i say watch it but there are pacing issues so as a non fan i give this film a 7.5 out of 10
