Ducktales 2017 Review

Disney fans the time has finally come after not talking about the show since it's premier episode I have decided that now is the perfect time to get a review about it done so here is my review of the Ducktales reboot woo-oo!

What makes this show standout from it's 1980's counterpart is the fact that it actually has a story going on and the story is what happened to the boys mother and I think it's great that this show is finally tackling that subject as it bothered alot of people when the original show came out so it's only wise that this show would tackle that story and so far it's being really well told it's going to last the whole of the first series so as of now we can only guess but I cannot wait to find out the answer.

Returning as Donald Duck is Tony Anselmo who for this series is joined by David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck , Danny Pudi as Huey Duck , Ben Schwartz as Dewey Duck , Bobby Moynihan as Louie Duck , Velma as Webby Vanderquack , Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack and Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley. Now I have to say that while the cast for the original series is made up of legends the new cast more then live up to the legacy left behind and you can tell that all of the cast are really having fun playing there characters.

Like the original show this show has a different adventure every episode and while some of the adventures are indeed fun there are times where I wish they would go back and visit the mystery about the mother storyline since that to me is more interesting but that's a very minor issue.

The animation for the show was done by Disney Television Animation (for those who don't know they mostly do the animation for Disney's TV output and they also did work on Clerks: The Animated Series) and I have to say that the animation in this series is freaking fantastic you can tell from the get go that alot of love and care has gone into making this show and I think that's because they had a lot of fans of the original series working on this one and so they want the show to be as good as it can be.

Thank the lord for Webby if your like me and you watched the original show then you'll know that Webby in that show was annoying as hell and pretty much served no purpose and had the personality of a rock but in this show she is such a great character and she has tons of personality for me she is the best character on the show gone is the Webby of old and in her place is new and more awesome Webby and long may she reign.

There's something I have to talk about and it's about Disney XD we went for months without any news or any new episodes in fact the only way I could watch new episodes was through online streaming and that's not something I would recommend doing if you want to see the show succeed but tho due to the fact that Disney wouldn't tell us anything about new episodes (heck even now we don't have a set return date) people who run streaming sites are going to getting alot of views because of the fact that they have new episodes of the show.

I consider this to be a comic book series since it's based of the Uncle Scrooge series by Carl Barks who also created the character and the show does indeed reflect his designs especially with the Scrooge character gone his blue over coat and it's replaced with a red one which is what he wore in those books.

I do have to say that apart from fixing Webby the show also gave the boys individual personalities as well Huey is very organised and loves to follow rules , Dewey is adventuress and Louie only wants to make money and have fun.

The humor in the show is at times really good i've lost count at how many times i've laughed at the jokes in this series but then there times where the joke just isn't funny which granted for this show is very rare but it does happen and when it does it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Overall out of all the reboots that are out there this one is easily the best one and i'm glad that it's getting a second season I just wish Disney would release more episodes so we can get our Ducktales fix this show gets a 9 out of 10 from me.

Some Cartoons I Like But Don't Get As Much Attention From Cartoon Fans

Cartoons fans alot of shows come and go some are good some are bad so it's no wonder that alot of shows don't get attention from the cartoon community which is why i'm here to let you know about some of the shows that I like but don't get much attention from fans.

Mr. Bean: The Animated Series

With this show I kinda get why it's not talked about as much since the live action show wasn't big America but the character and the live action show were huge in Britain so I have to ask why don't us Brits talk about the show as much?

Animaniacs

I've spoken before about my love for this show so I won't go on about why we should be talking about it still but with news of the reboot I honestly think that Cartoon fans should give this gem the attention it deserves now let us all hope that the reboot can do the original any sort of justice.

Batman: The Animated Series

People better then myself have said why this show is fantastic and in all honesty it deserves all of the praise that it gets from Batman fans but the fact remains that it's not talked about by cartoon fans and i'm not sure why that is this is a really great series for both fans old and new and it's the series that gave the world Harley Quinn and Mark Hamill as The Joker.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series

If Batman: The Animated Series was really good this show at times just wasn't good at all but that didn't stop it from being fun and for honestly being the best animated series to feature Spider-Man ever and I do wish Marvel would make a sequel comic just so we can visit that world again.

X-Men: The Animated Series

Yes there really was a 90's X-Men show and yeah it was pretty awesome now I admit that I don't remember much about the show inf act for a few years I forgot all about it but a few months ago I did watch the first two episodes and it still holds up the reason why I don't think this holds is just due to how nineties it is and by that I mean the show is full of jokes you'd only get if you were born in the nineties and is full of nineties technology.

Tiny Toon Adventures

Again the reason why I think people don't talk about this show is the fact it stopped airing in 1992 however it is still a good show and it's one that I frequently go and re-watch whenever I want to watch a cartoon that will make me laugh and it got two specials in 1994.

Ducktales (1987 Series)

I have to stress that this is all about the 1987 show not the awesome reboot but it seems to me that as i'm doing this list you have to be over a certain age to even know about these shows and this is especially true for Ducktales since it started in the late 80's and I want fans of the classic show to try and convince fans of the reboot to give this show a try.

Hot Streets

Right now it feels like i'm the only one who's talking about this show and for the life of me I don't see why that's the case it's a truly good show for me this show is the next Rick And Morty it's funny , it's clever and it has some freaking strange animation and you know what I freaking love it.

Ducktales: Woo-oo! Review

Animation fans it is finally here after months of waiting the Ducktales reboot has aired it's first two episodes i hope your body is ready because i'm going to jump in and review Ducktales: Woo-oo!.

The basic plot of the pilot special is Huey , Dewey and Louie get dropped of by there Uncle Donald who has asked Scrooge to babysit while he goes on a job interview and the gang get into trouble. I can't really go into two much detail because so much of the plot could be considered a spoiler but story wise this is just two episodes put together and it really shows and there's a great twist when you find out who Donald is interviewing for.

We now have David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck , Danny Pudi as Huey , Ben Schwartz as Dewey , Bobby Moynihan as Louie , Kate Micucci as Webby Vanderquack , Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack , Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley and regular Donald Duck VA Tony Anselmo. I have to say the acting in this film was mostly spot on i loved Kate as the new and improved Webby and the actors behind the nephews were really good but some reason whenever David Tennant was on screen all i heard was David Tennant i didn't here Scrooge but i'm sure that's because out of all of the cast he's the most well known and i couldn't really hear what Donald was saying most of the time.

Bravo Disney for bringing out another show with great animation the animation wasn't great all of the time but it was great 99% of the time and for me that's a win. There's a lot of great movements in there especially during the scenes where Scrooge is pretty much showing of but then there's that 1% where the animation just looks a little off.

Not only does this pilot special have some great action /adventure scenes but it also has a lot of great jokes which sadly had most of them spoiled in the trailer so i won't go into detail about what the jokes are because you'll all already know what they are but let's just say there's two jokes that wasn't in the trailer that i thought was really funny.

This is just the pilot episode so it also has the job of setting up the rest of the series but from what i can gather just of this special the series will most likely have the gang going to a different part of the world almost every week but what really got me interested was based of the final scene it looks like there going to set up hopefully a season long mystery which could be really interesting.

The new theme song is sung by American Idol contestant Felicia Barton and while it will never top the original theme it's still a really good song that has a catchy beat and is very easy to sing along to (which i did when the song first hit the web) honestly there's not much i can say about the song that hasn't already been said.

Overall Ducktales is back and i'm ready for more this was a great special did a good job of setting up the series and since it's a pilot there will be no rating but i will say go and watch this episode right now.
