Wizards Beyond Waverly Place TV Series SPOILER FILLED Review

Reboots and sequels are a very common thing with alot of TV shows getting either rebooted or getting sequel shows. Well now Disney have released there latest sequel series with this one being one that takes us back into the Disney Channel Original Series Universe and it's one that alot of people myself included have been dying to watch and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FILLED review of the show that sees the Russo family return with the show in question being called simply just "Wizards Beyond Waverly Place" enjoy.

The plot of this show is Justin Russo has given up magic after getting fired from his job at Wiztech but all of that changes when his sister introduces him to a young wizard who has to defend the world from an unknown threat. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty not that bad as it did a good job of getting us up to date with the characters that we know and love from the original show whilst at the same time giving us a good and solid storyline as well but at the same time tho this plot doesn't really feel like it belongs in the Wizards franchise and if anything it feels like something that would have been included in future episodes of Best Friends Whenever which is something that does make sense since this show was also developed by the creators of Best Friends Whenever Jed Elinoff & Scott Thomas and while yes the original show did also have plots where the characters had to save the world there it was done after we've gotten to know all of the characters and thus it made sense to do plots like that here it happens in episode one which is something that doesn't work either from a character or a plot point of view as we haven't had alot of time to really get to know all of these characters yet with the plot as a whole being really decent plot but it's also one that could have been alot more better then what it actually was with the plot of this show also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this show is this show executive producer David Henrie as Justin Russo and Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie. Also starring in this show is Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo , Max Matenko as Milo Russo , Taylor Cora as Winter , Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo , this shows executive producer Selena Gomez as Alex Russo , voice acting legend Dee Bradley Baker as the voice of Floogie and Phantomus , Patrick Bristow as Wizardpedia , Oscar Montoya as Marcus , John DiMaggio as the voice of Frog , Darien Sills-Evans as Superintendent Kowalski , Kirsten Vangness as Bigelow Figglehorn , JJ Nolan as Morphia Murkshadow , Eleanor Sweeney as Bella Bianchi and Kristen Hensley as Anita Bianchi.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty alot better then what it really had any right to be. As nobody expects there to be good acting from a Disney Channel show as the acting in those shows is usually very over the top and very campy at best and yet in this show all of the actors manage to turn in a really good performance which is something that really isn't all that new as both David Henrie and Selena Gomez are reprising their roles from the original show and would there for know how best to perform there respective characters and how there respective characters would act in any given situation and even the shows new actors whilst they don't even come close to holding a candle when it comes to acting against the original actors they do also manage to turn in a really good performance in their own right as well with some of them being so good that they could have bright futures in acting should they of course decide to continue acting that is with the acting that's in this show not really being helped by the fact that the script for this show is just so bad as it gives none of this show actors absolutely nothing to work with when it comes to what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be which is something that really does effect the overall quality of the acting that's in this very show.

Doing the CGI for the show is the legends and the really greats that are really currently over at Radiant Sun. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty not that bad as the original show itself didn't really have that good CGI in it especially in it's first season and yet here the effects look like they belong in the reunion special that they did for the original show as there just that good which is something that does both work and against the show it works for the show in the way that it does show that Disney really is putting in alot of money into the making of this show but at the same time tho those cheesy looking effects also added alot of charm to the show as well which is something that the effects in this show are lacking as they all long a little bit to good when it would have been more in keeping with the show if they made the effects still look good but also look like that they belong in the world of the original show as instead the effects in this show don't feel like that they belong in the world of either this show or the original show as that's just hoe good the shows CGI effects really are but having a show with good effects really does show that Disney Channel shows really could have had some really good looking effects in them if Disney only bothered to give them all a decent budget which would in turn result in a decent effects budget as well.

There was once actors that I left of this review and that's the fact we also have David DeLuise as Jerry Russo. With the character now a volunteer at a spell help line which is an interesting way to go with the character but at the same time it's also not really something that makes sense for this character as the character in the original show was never someone who would do that sort of thing has had his own busisness to run but given how the original series ended it does at the very least make sense that he would now do something to take up all of his free time and it is something that does allow the character to come back in future episodes and it was sweet seeing him interact with with David Henrie but given how badly he talked about Disney on the official Wizards Of Waverly Pod podcast it does make you wonder he chose to work for them again even if it was just a one time only thing but given how strong the bond was between all of the original shows main actors he might have chosen to work on this show as a way to reconnect with some of the original actors that perhaps he hasn't seen in a while with his appearance in this show also serving as a passing the torch moment as he and Justin have a heart to heart on how best to teach Billie which was a really sweet moment between these two characters that we the audience had grown to like.

To put it bluntly Disney have just screwed over Disney Channel with how there choosing to release this show. As even tho the first two episodes of the show did indeed air on Disney Channel and the rest of the series will indeed be airing on Disney Channel they've also dropped the first NINE episodes of the show on Disney+ which now means that us the audience have no reason to tune into Disney Channel when they can just watch them all on Disney+ if anything this is a show that should have aired all of it's episodes on Disney Channel first before airing them on Disney+ as that would not only give Disney Channel the much more needed boost that it needs it would also make alot of sense as the original show was a staple of the Disney Channel when it first being aired and yet now there's now reason to watch the following seven episodes on Disney Channel which is something that would only hurt the Disney Chanel in the long run and it's something that's a huge issue with Disney Branded Television as having shows airing on both Disney+ and the Disney Channel Channel at the exact same time is always going to harm one and give a boost to the other when Disney+ doesn't need a boost as it already has a bunch of content where as Disney Channel does need a boost as not alot of people are going to be watching since we now have Disney+ with all of the Disney content on it where as the Disney Channel only has the programming and original movies and that's really it.

Just based off of these first nine episodes of the show this show does have all of the hallmarks of a show that was created by Jed Elinoff & Scott Thomas. As not only does the show feature a more serialised form of storytelling that has a strong sense of continuity but the show also has really dramatic in the first three episodes of the show which is something that really doesn't work as we haven't had enough tine to to fully form a connection with these new characters at this point in time and while having more dramatic moments in this show can and does work later on in the series it only works then because of the chance that we've had a more time to get to know these characters and so those more dramatic moments can have a bigger impact and heck just like with Best Friends Whenever episode nine of this show also ends on cliffhanger which is a staple of Jed Elinoff & Scott Thomas and it's something that really doesn't work as it's to early on in the shows history to be doing what is basically a multipart story when something like that would be better off for either the series finale or for the end of the show itself as then it would be epic enough to be justified and yet doing it here only serves to cheapen the effect as we know that the characters are going to be OK and that the status quo of the show will be put back to normal by the end of the episode and yet if the show did it's first two parter as a series finale or even a show final then the shows status quo can then be changed thus justifying doing a two parter in the first place.

Now then his show has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty two minuets per episode. With the longest episode of these first nine episodes being episode one which clocks in at around twenty six minuets and fifty nine seconds which is a solid running time for that episode as the episode does have alot of things to set up and still tell a good story but at the same time it is weird with that one episode being longer then all of the rest of the first nine episodes which have a more bogstanderd running time for TV comedies with all of the episodes having just the right amount of plots for there respective running times but at the same time tho there really was no need for all of the other episodes to have a shorter running time then the first episode when the show would have had a more consistent running time and with the show current running times per episode the show really does take the time to develop it's characters alot better then what you'd really expect from the first season of a new show with all of the characters revealing that there's much more to them then meets the eye but at the same time the characters are still very badly written with alot of the characters not really getting the chance to fully develop there characters personalities with Justin himself what could be seen as a complete character change as he went from being a very smart and confident person to being someone who is questioning everything that he does and acting like the stereotypical Disney Channel dad something that could have been fixed if the episodes did have a slightly longer running time as that would have allowed all of the characters to get all of there personalities across alot better then what they do in the final cut of the show but I really will admit that this show really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a comedy that really does mean that I gave to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty really good. With alot of the comedy in these first nine episodes being funny jokes with alot of them being in line with what you'd expect from the first three season of the original show with them having some pun names in spells and the characters themselves having some really good one liners with the most funniest character in these first nine episodes being none other then Billie herself as she's a street smart cocky character who is pretty much exactly like Alex was in the original show only now she knows that she's street smart and cocky and still acts that way just because she wants to do so and while yes Justin does still get alot of funny moments in these first nine episodes since they really didn't do his character any kind of justice whatsoever alot of his funny moments come across as feeling forced and not something that the actual character would say or do which is a shame because alot of his jokes are acted really well with David Henrie having alot of really great facial expressions and David DeLuise is still of top form with him being just as likable and lovable as he was in the original show as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this isn't a bad sequel series but at the sae time it's not a particularly good one either with it having all of the trade marks of a bad sequel show in that it gets the returning characters mostly wrong and shifts them aside for the newer characters but if this is anything like Best Friends Whenever and Raven's Home both of which Jed Elinoff & Scott Thomas worked on then expect this show to get cancelled after the second series or expect them to be replaced and see an improvement in the show after it's second series because as things stand this is nothing more then an OK show at best in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very show in this very review and as such that really does mean that this show really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.

Lizzie McGuire: Rumors Review

Disney Channel was once home to many a great TV show with alot of those shows being very fondly remembered to this very day. With the show that i'm going to be talking about today being one such as an example as this show still has quite alot of fans and is even loved so much that people cheered when it was announced that it was coming back with new episodes only to be let down when the show was cancelled and so the join me as I review of the episode of the show that made Hilary Duff a household name with the episode is question being called simply just "Rumors" enjoy.

The plot of this episode when Lizzie accidentally starts a rumor about the most popular girl at school she has to work up the courage and stop one of her best friends for taking the blame for her. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad as it was the kind of plot that you'd expect to find on the Disney Channel but at the same time tho this really wasn't the strongest plot either which makes it all the more baffling that Disney really chose this episode to air as preview for the rest of the rest of the series instead really of the shows actual pilot episode as that episode is a really more fitting to start the show with with plot of this also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Also starring in this episode is Jake Thomas as Matt McGuire , Hallie Todd as Jo McGuire , Robert Carradine as Sam McGuire Byron Fox as Danny Kessler , Davida Williams as Claire Miller , Taylor Gunnin as Head Cheerleader , Mitchah Williams as Kid , Britney Mitchell as A Dancer , Melissa Matthews as A Dancer , Tiffany Burton as A Dancer and  Ashlie Brillault as Kate Sanders.

Now then interms of what I personally thought  felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With all of this episodes cast turning in some really decent acting and not just the kind of acting that you'd really expect to find on a Disney Channel show where everybody shouts there lines and over acts as here the cast talk normally and act like normal people which makes the acting all the more and it really shouldn't be all that surprising that the acting in this episode is good as alot of the episodes cast went on to become some really good actors in there own right and as such it would make sense that they would turn in some really good performances in this episode with the acting in this episode really being helped by the fact that the script for this episode is just so good that all the episodes cast have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them really naturally.

This episode does a fairly decent job of setting up the bond that Lizzie with both her family and her friends. Both of which are things that this show would become known for and yet because there set up early on in the series run and are defined so well in this episode it makes them feel all the more believable then what it really could have been as alot of Disney Channel shows only give us the bare bones of what these families are like and what these friends are like and yet this show even in just this episode we see Lizzie struggle to be a good friend and we see the parents struggle to find there sons class pet which while that is goofy is also a good example of what good parents would do for there good kids and by showing Lizzie struggle to be a good friend it makes her feel like a more real person as real people do have daily struggles be it on big things or on big things we all struggle from time to time and to see Lizzie struggle and find away to over come that shows that she really is a good friend and one that will come through when it matters the most. 

Watching this episode was so weird as alot of it was like travelling back in time to the early 2000's as there's alot of things that were only popular in the early 2000's. Like instant messaging for example something which hasn't been a thing for about ten years is a key plot point in this show and even the computers that the girls use look massive compared to the technology that we have now and while none of this dates the episodes in a bad way it does date the episode as alot of kids these days won't even know what instant messaging even is heck kids today will barely know what Facebook is as that's how far we've come technology wise as alot of what we knew and loved as a kid will now seem outdated when compared to what the younger generation are growing up with and while this obviously isn't the fault of those involved with making this show or this episode it is something that doesn't make this episode as timeless as it once was as while kids will always deal with rumors in there school it now won't come from instant messaging as it will now come from say Discord or Reddit to name but for a few examples.

As was mentioned at the start of this review this episode was technically the shows first ever episode as this episode aired as a preview episode about a week or so before the what Disney says is the official first episode Picture Day. Both of these are false as the actual pilot episode for the show was episode "Pool Party" as that episode quite literally has a scene with the animated Lizzie introducing us to all of the shows cast of characters where as this episode just expects you to know these characters and what there relationships are like which makes this choice to air this episode first was never the first episode of the show and nor was it intended to be because if it was then they would edited out the audio for animated Lizzie at the start of the Pool Party episode and yet they didn't which goes to show that this episode isn't the first episode of the show and yet because it was aired first it also technically is the first episode of the show all at the exact same time.

As was typical of this show this episode doesn't spend alot of the time on the parents and the brother storyline. Which does make sense as there not the main characters of the show but at the same time they are still main characters as well and yet not only does this episode not spend alot of the episodes running tine on that plotline it also never resolves it we get a resolution to the Lizzie plotline which does make sense as that is the main plot of the episode but the plot line that is just as interesting as it could tech kids that sometimes the things that we love do infact die and seeing a main character deal with that would be interesting to see even if it is basically just a comedic plotline is more interesting then seeing someone trying to be a better friend and learn to stand up for herself which just isn't that interesting of a plot line all of which makes you wonder why they didn't make the parents and brother plotline the main plot as while yes there not the title characters it's there plot line that is something that Disney Channel really didn't cover all that much in there series episodes or in there Disney Channel Original Movies either as that is soemthing that they never really did cover at all and it something that would have this episode standout and be really ground breaking.

Noe then this episode has / had an exact grand total running tie of exactly twenty one minuets and forty one seconds. Which is a solid running time as none of the episodes plots have enough running time to cover a running time longer then that but at the same time even with that shorter running time it does make this episode a nice littler watch and while the episode could have benefited from having a slightly longer running time as it would allow the show time develop it's characters and both of it's story alot more then what it already does given that this is a TV show they don't really need nor even have to develop all that well as the show has sixty plus episodes and in this case a feature length theatrically released movie to develop the characters and the relationships alot more then what they could have done in this one episode and if the episode did have a longer time then both the main plot and the subplot would be stretched even more thin then what they already are but I will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

Son now then as this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty In in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. As Disney Channel shows from this time period weren't really known for there comedy and yet this episode does have alot of jokes that while dated do feel very character driven and are whilst not alot of this episodes jokes are laugh loud funny alot of them are cute jokes that are highly realistic as alot of this episodes jokes are jokes that kids would mist likely be saying to there friends or to there family members in real life and it's that kind of comedy that this show does so well as there jokes that do feel real and aren't as over the top as alot of the jokes are in say The Suit Life On Deck or The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody for example are in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this isn't the strongest episode to start this show of with it is still a really good episode as it gives you a good example of how really good this show show could have been and was like when it was at it's best as alot of what really made the show as good as it was in the first place it all stems from this episode in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very episode in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

K.C. Undercover "Pilot" Review

Disney Channel back in the day was filled to the brim with top notch programming be it either animated or live action. However there were also alot of shows and movies that have sadly been forgotten about for whatever reason and it's one of those shows that i'm going to be talking about and so then join me as I review the episode of a show that alot of people have really forgotten about with the episode in question being called simply just "Pilot" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is when she finds out that her parents are actually spies sixteen year old K.C. Cooper is recruited to help them on a mission that could have dire consequences for mobile phones everywhere. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in a; honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad as it was a good enough plot for a Disney Channel TV show but at the exact same time this episodes plot wasn't all that good as it was a really rather thinly drawn out plot that really does take quite awhile for it to really get going but when it does get going it is a solid plot for the most part with this episodes plot being really rather entertaining and as well as being really engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Also starring in this episode is Kamil McFadden as Ernie Cooper , Tammy Townsend as Kira Cooper , Kadeem Hardison as Craig Cooper , Tony Cavalero as Agent Wally , Ashley Fink as Reena , Chris Brewster as The Target , Ashlee Füss as Juli , Trevor Jackson as Lincoln , Jack DePew as Ryan and Larry Udy as The Janitor.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad for the most part. As it is the type of acting that you'd expect to see in a Disney Channel show but at the same time it's also quite clearly not that good especially when you compare it to what the cast have been in recently and there for you know that they really can act and yet that makes all the more sad when in this episode you see them not being able to make this episodes script work for them with the acting in this episode not really being helped by the fact that the episodes isn't really that good with this episodes script not really giving the cast a whole lot to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place.

To be frank it was hard to tell how they shot alot of this episode while the episode does use a mixture of in studio and on location filming the episode also does some really cool camera moves in what looks like a scene that shot in studio. With the example of this being the warehouse  scene where the camera moves up from the ground to the first floor which is something that wouldn't have been possible to do in studio as you'd have to fit in the set and the audience which would make a camera move like that next to impossible to do and yet at the same time tho the scene looks like that it was shot in a studio all of which make it hard to tell how this scene was filmed as it was just such a cool scene in the finished episode that also would have been a pain to film in a studio even without the audience being there on the day of filming it.

Just to be frank both Kira Cooper and Craig Cooper are not good parents as they very frequently forget about there son. With them also being willing to put there teenage daughter into a dangerous situation and then they make her feel bad when she says that she doesn't want that pressure all of which adds up to them being pretty bad parents and that's just the tip of the iceberg as there's more evidence just in this one episode alone with these two being bad parents and while they might improve over the course of these series you only have once chance to make a good first impression and when that first impression isn't a good one that's all they'll be remembered for being and that's not to mention that them forgetting about there son several times in this episode including his own birthday is played for laughs and while yes this is a sitcom and as result there's always going to be that small amount of fantasy in there given that this is a Disney it would have worked better if they were presented as actual good parents instead of bad parents.

It is easy to see why this show has largely been forgotten as there's nothing all that special about this episode. With the episode being a very forgettable episode as outside of the cool looking camera moves and the fight scenes this episode just feels like a lame attempt to do an actually good Disney Channel Original Series as it lacks alot of the things that all f there good shows had a heck even the central subplot between the two friends is a carbon copy of that of the central plotline from the first episode of Hannah Montana except instead of doing that plot line in the first episode this shows takes a few episodes to tell that exact same story with the exact same story and while yes other Disney Channel shows have done the liar revealed story before here it just felt like a lazy rip off of the first episode of Hannah Montana.

To give this episode some credit it does try to do something new by having alot of focus on the action scenes in this episode. With the episodes action scenes being really well done for the budget that they had to pull them and for the fact that this is a live action Disney Channel Original Series and those don't typically have good action scenes in them and yet the action scenes in this episode were really well done with us getting some really creative fight scenes and fight scene locations all while being done in the typical Disney Channel way but at the same time tho the episode makes it painfully obvious when there using a stunt double as they would cut to either a wide shot or to an over the should shot so you can't see the actors faces that clearly all of which make it painfully obvious that there using a stunt double and that it's not the actual actors themselves but the fight scenes in the episode were really creative tho.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty nine minuets and thirty eight seconds. Which is a really rather solid running time for this episode as the episode has alot of plot there to cover that amount of running time but the issue is tho is that alot of the episodes characters aren't that fully developed which is understandable as this is a TV series and as such it doesn't make sense to fully develop the characters in the first episode especially when you have the rest of the episodes to do that but at the same time it would have been nice to have some sort of development for alot of this episodes as alot of them just have nothing to do in this episode and are there just to tell one bad joke and then leave the scene which does make it harder for them to get across what there personality is even meant to be and for us the audience to form a connection with them but I will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. As it was the type of comedy that does work well enough for the Disney Channel but on the flip side of that is the fact that this episodes comedy isn't all that good either as the jokes in this episode are jokes that you can see coming a mile away and as a result of that while they are still somewhat funny jokes they aren't as funny as they really could have or even should have been and while this episode does have some decent jokes in it they are very few and far between with the episode having alot more bad or even lame jokes in it then it does good jokes in it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Overall it's not that hard to see why this show or this episode has been forgotten about by alot of people but at the same time it really is still Zendaya doing what she did best back when this show was first being released it's just that this episode isn't as good as it really should have been or even could have been for that matter in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.
